Vol.2016 No.1
Vol.13 No.2
Both of the three Ŭm and three Yang and the six hyo(六爻) of Iching are based on Ŭm and Yang theory and five phases theory. This paper is about mutual relation of them. First, every change in the universe is induced by Un and Ki. Un is the nature that things have their own. Ki is surroundings that things change in. Second, Un and Ki are not separate things. That is they are generated by each other. Third, both of them are the signs of change which means they are similar. The first Hyo (初爻) and Kwolŭm-pungmok(厥陰風木), the seond Hyo(二爻) and Soŭm-gunhwa(少陰君火), the third Hyo(三爻) and Teŭm-sŭpto(太陰濕土), the forth Hyo(四爻) and Soyang-sanghwa(少陽相火), the fifth Hyo(五爻) and Yangmyung-zogŭm(陽明燥金), and the sixth Hyo(六爻) and Teyang-hansu(太陽寒水) have similar principles. It is important to make clear up their meanings and mutual relation.
Vol.0 No.15
A Comparative Study between the thoughts of the later Heidegger and Popper concerning the Science Park, Chan-Kook This research aims to compare Popper's and the later Heidegger's thoughts, focusing on their views on science. Popper thinks that a science develops through dialogues among scientists and sees the history of western natural sciences as a history of progress that proceeds from elementary and primitive theories to more precise and solid theories. In contrast to Popper, Heidegger thinks that sciences of different epochs are based on thoroughly different horizons and can not be also compared on the same horizon as well. According to Heidegger, modern sciences are not superior to ancient or medieval sciences in the aspect of revealing truths of beings but only in the capabilities of controlling beings. In spite of the above mentioned differences in Heidegger and Popper, I think that their views on the modern science can complement each other. The falsifiability that Popper indicates as the criterion of science is in fact meaningful only in the modern science that sees the nature as the system of exactly predictable forces. Therefore, Popper's theory of the science can complements Heidegger's theory of the modern science, if it is regarded as the theory on the modern science. Generally speaking, the later Heidegger grasped the essential characteristics of the modern science in the broader and more original perspective than Popper, and presents the more desirable form of dialogue between the ancient science and the modern science.
