        4종류 식용꽃 추출물의 총 페놀함량, 전자공여능 및 세포독성

        식용꽃인 꽃베고니아(Begonia semperflorens ‘Superolympia White’), 토레니아(Torenia fournieri ‘Crown Pink’), 팬지(Viola tricolor ‘Solvetsunny Royal’) 및 펠라고니움(Pelargonium grandiflorum ‘Jessie Jarrett’) 추출물의 총페놀 함량, 전자공여능 및 세포독성에 미치 는 영향을 조사하였다. 에탄올 추출물의 총 페놀함량은 펠라고니움의 경우 531.57mg/100g으로 높게 나타났으 나 토레니아는 30.98mg/100g, 팬지는 14.62mg/100g, 꽃베고니아는 5.77mg/100g으로 낮게 나타났다. 전자공 여능은 꽃베고니아, 토레니아, 팬지의 열수 및 에탄올 추출물은 500g·mL-1에서는 모두 69.4% 이하를 나타 냈으나 펠라고니움의 열수 및 에탄올 추출물은 125g·mL-1에서도 각각 94% 내외를 나타내었다. 세포 생존율은 토레니아와 팬지의 열수 및 에탄올 추출물 처리구에서는 95% 이하를 나타내어 세포사가 일어난 것으로 추정되었다. 히스타민 억제효과는 펠라고니움 추출물의 경우 91% 이상을 나타냈으나 토레니아 추출 물은 51-66%, 팬지 추출물은 14-24%, 꽃베고니아 추 출물은 1~2%의 억제 효과만 나타났다. Total phenolics content, the electron donor capacity and their cytotoxicity effects of ethanol extracts of four different edible flowers, including Begonia semperflorens ‘Superolympia White’, Torenia fournieri ‘Crown Pink’, Viola tricolor ‘Solvetsunny Royal’, and Pelargonium grandiflorum ‘Jessie Jarrett’, were examined. Total phenolics content from Pelargonium grandiflorum ‘Jessie Jarrett’ was the greatest with 531.57 mg/100g, followed by that of Torenia fournieri ‘Crown Pink’, Viola tricolor ‘Solvetsunny Royal’, and Begonia semperflorens ‘Superolympia White’ with 30.98, 14.62, and 5.77 mg/100g, respectively. 1.1-dipheny-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging activity of heated water and ethanol extracts from Begonia semperflorens ‘Superolympia White’, Torenia fournieri ‘Crown Pink’, and Viola tricolor ‘Solvetsunny Royal’ extracts in 500 g·mL-1 was below 69.4%. However, that of extracts from Pelargonium grandiflorum ‘Jessie Jarrett’ even at 125 g·mL-1 was around 94.0%, showing the greatest level. The cell viability of Torenia fournieri ‘Crown Pink’ and Viola tricolor ‘Solvetsunny Royal’ extracts exhibited less than 95%. On the other hand, the inhibition ratio of histamine release in Pelargonium grandiflorum ‘Jessie Jarrett’ extracts was great with 91.0%. Inhibition ratio of histamine release by extracts ranged from 51 to 66% in Torenia fournieri ‘Crown Pink’, from 14 to 24% in Viola tricolor ‘Solvetsunny Royal’, and from 1 to 2% in Begonia semperflorens ‘Superolympia White’.

        천연염료로서 복숭아나무 전정가지의 이용성

        This study was carried out to investigate the utilization of pruned branch of a peach treeas natural dyeing material. The dyestuff was extracted from pruned branch of a peach tree.we examined the dyeing ability on silk and cotten fabrics. The surface color of silk fabricsdiffered depending on mordants. E values in treatments of mordants ranged from 11.63 to30.86 as compared to non-treatment. Dyeing properties of cotten fabrics were improved witha treatment of sulfate of iron as compared with of non-treatment. The values a increasedwhen the slaked lime and sodium hydroxide were used as mordants, while the values bincreased when copper sulfate, alum and apple vinegar were used. We investigated thesurface colors of silk and cotten fabrics after washing three times. In general, the surfacecolors of silk and cotten fabrics between the treatments of all mordants and non-treatmentwere diminished by the washing. We also investigated the surface colors of silk and cottenfabrics when those were washed and treated by the light after soaking those into various pHsolutions. The surface colors of silk and cotten fabrics were considerably preserved by thewashing, the light and pH concentration. In conclusion, our results suggest that the dyestuffsfrom pruning branch of a peach tree would be useful as a natural dyeing material using theoptimized conditions for silk and cotten dyeing.

        상사화류의 개화와 출엽 특성

        - This study was conducted to examine the pattern and characteristics of flowering and leaf emergence fortwenty two kinds of the genus of Lycorissp. One species of Lycoriswas flowered on July to August, twelve species onAugust, and nine species on September. Shape of flowers were as follows : Nine species belong to L. radiata-shapedflower, seven species L. squamigera-shaped flower, and seven species the intermediate type. Flower color of three kindwere an order of descent red and pink, seven kind white, four kind yellow, three kind orange, and two kind purple colors.Ten Lycorisspecies were good fertile, and two kinds were poor fertile. The average length of pollen grain was rangedfrom 48.53 to 88.62㎛, and the width from 22.87 to 33.67㎛. Eleven kinds were spring-leaf emergence type, and tenkind autumn-leaf emergence types. Hunter values in leaves were as follows : L* value was ranged from 31.6 to 45.2; a*values from -6.74 to -17.46; b* values from 6.19 to 21.89. Leaf width was ranged from 0.90 to 2.35cm, and its shape wasoblong. The length of epidermal cells was 0.33 to 0.75㎜, and the width was 38.53 to 90.00㎛. Most of stomata weredistributed in the back side of leaves. The length of stomata was ranged from 67.12 to 104.89㎛, and its width was from14.90 to 71.52㎛.Key words - Leaf shapes, Intermediate types, Pollen grain, Stomata

        韓國 自生 범부채(Belamcanda chinensis (L.) DC.)의 種子發芽에 關한 硏究

        These studies were carried out to investigate the seed germination of Belamcanda chinensis (L.) DC. The results obtained are as follows : 1.Optimum temperature of seed germination was 25℃, and the seed germination rate was raised to 92% by 20/30℃ alternative temperature treatment. 2.Under the condition of moist low temperature storage, the germination rate was 53% at 42 days after sowing, but showed the germination rate of 11% at same period with dry low temperature storage. 3.The germination rate was higher in the light condition than in the dark condition. 4.The germination rate was higher when the seed coat was removed than when the seed coat was not removed or the seed coat was stratificated. 5.The germination rate was 80% with 100ppm GA3 treatment, and 76% wihh soaking treatment of 1% KOH solution for 24 hours.

        무안 회산지(回山池) 백련의 개화기간 중 화형변화

        This study was conducted to investigate flowering type and method of white lotus (Nelumbo nucifera) in Muan Hoesan-lake, and to enhance the utilization of lotus flowering. Blooming time of white lotus was 6:00 a.m. at 1 day after flowering (DAF), 5:40 a.m. at 2 DAF, 6:10 a.m. at 3 DAF, and 5:10 a.m. at 4 DAF, and all the lotus flowers bloomed were closed until 12:00 a.m. Maximum flower diameter at 10:00 a.m. at 1 DAF was 7.6 cm, at 7 a.m. at 2 DAF 25.2 cm, 8 a.m. at 3 DAF 23.7cm, and 10 a.m. at 4 DAF 22.2 cm. Number of petals bloomed was 14. Two petals were fallen at 3 DAF and all the petals were withered until 12 a.m. at 4 DAF. All the petals bloomed upright at 1 DAF, horizontal at 2 DAF and upright and oblique at 3 DAF. No petals bloomed downward at 1 and 4 DAF were observed. Overall results indicate that the flowering type and method including blooming time, size, and direction during flowering stage would be significant parameters for optimum production of white lotus flowers. 무안 회산지 백련의 개화 상태를 통해 개화 이력을 알 수 있는 지표 마련 및 이를 이용하여 생태 체험관광 자원 등으로 활용하기 위한 자료 확보 측면에서 개화 기간 중의 화형 변화를 조사하였다. 꽃은 개화 1일째는 6시에, 2일째는 5시 40분, 3일째는 6시 10분, 4일째는 5시 10분에 개화가 시작되어 오전 중에 피었다가 12시 이후에는 오므려들었다. 꽃의 직경은 개화 1일째는 10시 정각에 7.6cm, 2일째는 7시 정각에 25.2cm, 3일째는 8시 정각에 23.7cm, 4일째는 10시 정각에 22.2cm로 최대치를 나타냈다. 꽃잎 수는 14개였으며, 3일째에 2개가 탈락되었으며, 4일째 12시 이전에 모두 탈락되었다. 꽃잎의 각도는 개화 1일째는 모두 직립하였으며, 1일째와 4일째는 하향된 꽃잎이 없었고, 2일째는 수평,Table 6. Time Flowering Hour Minute Day 1Day 2Day 3Day 460 80 100 120 160 -180 -3일째는 직립형과 사립형이 많았다. 이와 같이 백련 꽃의 화형은 개화 후 경과 일수에 따른 각각의 특성이 뚜렷하였다. 따라서 개화 상태별로 시청각 자료나 모형을 만든 후 시청각 자료 및 모형을 보면서 개화 이력을 추적할 수 있게 하면 무안 회산지 백련은 생태체험 관광 자원으로서 활용가치가 더욱 높아질 것으로 생각된다.
