Extramammary Paget's Disease Involving the Scrotum and Umbilicus

Extramammary Paget's disease (EMPD) is a rare intraepithelial adenocarcinoma. To date, about 200 cases of EMPD have been reported since the first report in 1889. There has been only one case of EMPD involving the umbilicus, in a patient with prostatic carcinoma. This is the first report of EMPD occurring concurrently in the scrotum and umbilicus. The patient had recurrent, eczematous, and pruritic lesions of the left scrotum and umbilicus 2 years previously. Biopsy and surgical resection were performed and EMPD was diagnosed. There was no evidence of recurrence at 34 months after surgery.

We show that the potential of the scalar field in the Einstein frame is flat if the non-minimal coupling term is properly chosen so that it satisfies the condition (V (Φ)/K2(Φ) ! constant) as Φ gets large. The cosmological implication of this theory is studied. We evaluated the long-term results of feminizing genital reconstruction in patients with genital ambiguity with high vaginal confluence. The medical records of 10 consecutive patients with ambiguous genitalia and high vaginal confluence who underwent feminizing genital reconstruction from 1996 to 2007 were reviewed. Seven patients had congenital adrenal hyperplasia, one had mixed gonadal dysgenesis, one had partial androgen insensitivity, and one had 5-alpha reductase deficiency syndrome. Median age at operation was 21 months (range, 2-47 months). Median follow up was 7.7 yr. Of the six patients who underwent feminizing genital reconstruction with the Gonzalez method, three had good results. Of the other three patients, one had a urethrovaginal fistula and underwent fistula repair 9 yr after, one had distal vaginal stenosis and underwent revision vaginoplasty 9 yr after, and one had a urethrovaginal fistula and urethral stricture. The patient with urogenital mobilization had persistent urogenital sinus. Feminizing genitoplasty using the Gonzalez method showed good long-term results in patients with ambiguous genitalia and Congenital adrenal hyperplasia. The procedure is less invasive than other approaches and results in excellent cosmetic outcomes; and complications can be corrected by relatively simple procedures.
Urothelial Tumors of the Urinary Bladder in Two Adolescent Patients: Emphasis on Follow-up Methods

Here we describe two cases of papillary urothelial neoplasm of low malignant potentialin adolescent boys. One case was a 16-year-old boy with a polypoid mass beside the rightureteral orifice and the other case was a 13-year-old boy with a papillary mass besidethe left ureteral orifice. The initial presentation was hematuria in both cases and thebladder mass was detected by ultrasonography. Complete resection of the bladder tumorwas performed by using an 11-Fr pediatric resectoscope. Follow-up has been performedwith urine analysis, urine cytology, and bladder ultrasonography or cystoscopyevery 3 months with no evidence of recurrence.

이 논문에서는, 펄스형 레이저 기상 증착법으로 실리콘 기판에 반도체성 나노점 배열을 형성한 연구 결과에 대해 발표하고자 한다. 크기가 60-80 nm이고 간격이 100 nm인 육각 배열을 갖는 Er이 도핑된 Si과 ZnO 나노점 배열을 형성하고, 그 구조와 광 특성을 분석하였다. 육각 배열을 위한 탬플레이트로 알루미늄 산화막 맴브레인 (anodic aluminum oxide: AAO)을 이용하였다. Er이 도핑된 실리콘과 ZnO 타겟을 Nd:YAG 레이저(355 nm, 25 mJ, 2.5 J/cm2) 로 조사하여 실리콘 기판에 증착하였다. Er이 도핑된 실리콘 나노점 배열에서 측정한 Photoluminescence(PL) 스펙트럼은 1.54 μm에서 강한 발광 특성을 보였는데. 이는 Er3+ 이온의 intra-4f shell 전이 (4I13/2 → 4I15/2) 에 의한 것으로 설명된다. 형성된 실리콘 나노점을 500 oC 까지 사후 열처리하면 나노점의 크기는 변하지 않고, PL 크기만 크게 증가하는데, 이는 열처리에 의해 결함이 줄어드는 것으로 생각된다. ZnO 나노점 배열에서는 380 nm의 강한 PL 스펙트럼을 관찰할 수 있었다. 증착 조건에 따라, UV 발광과 가시광 영역의 발광 스펙트럼의 상대적인 크기가 변화하는데, 이는 ZnO의 결함에 영향을 받는다. 이 연구에서는 증착조건에 따른 반도체 나노점 배열의 크기 분포와 광 특성에 대하여 논의하였다.
Urachal Xanthogranuloma: Laparoscopic Excision with Minimal Incision

Urachal xanthogranuloma is an extremely rare disease. A 23-year-old man presented with severe lower abdominal pain and voiding frequency. Computed tomography revealed a urachal mass with bladder invasion, which was suspected to be a urachal carcinoma or abscess. Laparoscopic urachal resection was performed with a minimal incision. Histopathologic examination identified the mass as a urachal xanthogranuloma.
