        담수어의 (淡水魚) 지리적 집단간의 수용성 근단백 분획에 대하여 (1)

        To study the difference of aqueous soluble muscle protein pattern of fresh-water fishes in geographical populations the method of disc-electrophoresis using polyacrylamide was adapted. 1) The number of bands of aqueous soluble muscle protein were 10 in Zacco platypus, 7 in Zacco temmincki, 6 in Pungtungia herzi, 7 in Pseudopungtungia tenuiscorpus, 5 in Rhodus ocellatus, 8 in Coreoleuciscus splendidus, 9 in Microphysogobio longidorsalis. 2) The number of bands, degree of stain, mobility and rate of contents were different in interspecies. 3) No electrophoretic pattern was observed different among the four locality.

        SrAl<sub>2</sub>O<sub>4</sub>(Eu,Dy,Nd) 압광체를 이용한 균열첨단에서의 응력장 가시화 연구

        The present investigation aims at visualizing the crack tip stress field using a mechanoluminescence material. The well known compound $SrAl_2O_4$:$Eu^{2+}$ was adopted as a mechanolurninescence material. Two more trivalent rare-earth elements such as Dy and Nd were taken into consideration as codopants to provide the appropriate trap levels. Samples of a variety of compositions were prepared by varing $Eu^{2+}$, $Dy^{3+}$, and $Nd^{3+}$ doping contents, for which the combinatorial chemistry method was used. In order to search for the optimum composition for the highest mechanoluminescence, the luminescence induced by a compressive device including a CCD camera. In parallel, a compact tension specimen was prepared by mixing the luminescence powders of optimum composition and epoxy resin. Crack initiation from the mechanically machined sharp note tip and its growth during loading were found to be associated with the extent of light emission from $SrAl_2O_4$.

        Application of Mechanoluminescence for the Dynamic Visualization of an Alumina Fracture

        The propagation of cracks was quantitatively analyzed in Al2O3 ceramic using the mechanoluminescence (ML) of SrAl2O4:Eu,Dy. The bridging zones behind the crack tip were clearly detected in the crack path of Al2O3 within a realistic time frame. The magnitudes and shapes of the bridging stress distributions changed with the advancing cracks. They continued to change with the change in the applied load even after the cessation of crack propagation. Effective toughening then commenced,and the applied stress intensity factors dramatically increased up to ~50 MPa[수식] . The expected KTip values based on the instantaneous bridging stress distributions obtained from the ML observations deviated greatly from those obtained from the measurement using the conventional crack tip lengths; rather, they support the results obtained when bridging tips were used in the quasidynamic crack propagations.

      • 전기영동법에 의한 닭의 혈청 단백질 분석

        Leghorn계인 Shaver star 288(Domestic fowl)의 부란 18일의 배와 부화 후 3일된 암 병아리, 110일, 134일, 148일된 암탉, 173일 된 산란이 정지된 암탉, 그리고 산란전 시기에 있는 139일된 암탉에 estradiol benzoate로 처리한 것의 혈청단백질을 filter paper를 이용한 zone-electrophoresis에 의하여 영동상을 비교하였다. 1. 18일된 배에서 4개의 영동대를 관찰할 수 있었고 albumin 앞에 pre-a.bumin을 볼 수 있었다. 2. 3일, 134일, 148일된 암탉에서는 5개의 영동대가 나타났는데 이는 성계 에서는 배의 혈청에 있던 pre-albumin이 소실된 반면 α₂, γ-globulins이 나타난 것이다. 3. 173일된 산란계는 6개의 영동대가 나타났으며 X영동대가 나타났다. 4. 520일된 산란이 정지된 것에는 X영동대가 사라저 5개의 영동대가 나타났다. 5. 139일된 미성숙계에 estradiol benzoate를 주사한 것에 있어서는 같은 시기에 나타나지 않는 X영동대가 나타나서 산란중의 암탉혈청의 영동대와 같았다. 또한 산란계와 estradiol benzoate로 처리한 암탉과의 component비도 서로 비슷하게 나타났음이 주목 할만하다. 이상과 같은 결과를 종합적으로 고찰하여 볼 때 혈청단백질의 영동상은 암탉이 성장함에 따라 증가하여 산란시기에 가장 많이 나타났으며 산란이 정지되면 점차 감소됨을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 산란시기에는 미지의 단백질성분(x fraction)이 혈청내에 존재한다고 생각되며 이것은 estrogen에 의하여 그 단백질의 생산이 촉진되는 것 같다. The level of total serum protein in female fowl, from embryo to non-laying old hens, has been ascertained by filter paper-electrophoresis. The result of the experiment, showed that the number of bands in the serum protein of laying hens increased with the growth and reached maximum at the staged laying egg, however they decreased in non-laying old hen as follows. The bands of the serum protein of the embryo incubative for 18 days was shown 4. and It made up prealbumin in front of albumin band. The pullets 3, 110, 134 and 148 days old were appeared pre-albumin, globulin-α₂, γ. It was shown that 6 bands appeared in the serum protein of the 173 days old laying hens. In the serum protein of 520 days old non-laying hens, bands decreased from 6 to 5. In the serum protein of 139 days old immatured hens injected estradiol benzoate appeared same bands as that of 173 days old laying hens. In both laying hen and pullets which were injected appeared the same amount of α₁, α₂, γ-globulins and X-component.

        Quasi-Dynamic Visualization of Crack Propagation and Bridging Evolution in Si3N4 and SiC Ceramics by Mechano-luminescence

        The propagations of macro-scale cracks were visualized in Si3N4 and SiC ceramics using a mechano-luminescence (ML) of SrAl2O4:Eu,Dy. The bridging zones behind the crack tip were also clearly detected in the crack path within realistic time frames. The ML made it possible to detect cracks propagating within a speed range of 200 m/s to 250 m/s, thereby realizing so-called quasi-dynamic R-curves. The magnitudes and shapes of the bridging stress distributions were found to change with the advancing cracks, continuing to change as the applied load changes, even after the cessation of crack propagation. The effective toughening then commenced and the applied stress intensity factors increased dramatically up to ~120 MPa √m in Si3N4 and 150 MPa √m in SiC. The KTip values expected on the basis of the instantaneous bridging stress distributions obtained from ML observations deviated greatly from those measured using the conventional crack tip lengths; rather, the values support the results obtained by using bridging tips in quasi-dynamic crack propagations.

        SrAl₂O₄: (Eu, Dy, Nd) 압광체를 이용한 균열 전파 및 브리징 응력의 가시화 연구

        The goal of the present investigation was to visualize the propagating crack in a mechano-luminescence (ML) material to enable the measurement of instantaneous R-curves and directly observe the bridging (shielding) stress in a fast-propagating crack system. The well-known ML compound, SrAl₂O₄: Eu^(2+), was used as a model test material. Two additional trivalent rare earth elements, Dy and Nd, were introduced as co-dopants to improve the luminescent efficiency. The initiation and growth of a crack from the mechanically machined sharp notch tip in a disc shaped compact tension (CT) specimen at a relatively high loading rate were found to be associated with the extent of light emission around the crack. An in-situ measurement of crack length and applied load for 0.3 sec yielded an instantaneous R-curve at the conventional crack propagation speed.

        한국산 (韓國産) 모래무지아과 어류 (魚類) 수용성 (水溶性) 근단백질의 전기영동상 (電氣泳動像)

        Muscle proteins of the Korean gudgeon of the subfamily Gobioninae were investigated by the polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis to determine the relationships among the species and genera studied. The number of bands were varied between 8∼13, and the mobiltiy and density or width of staining were appeared to be specificity. Judging from the genera Pseudorasbora and Puntungia are closely related each other, but Gnathopogon and Squalidus which were previously known to be cospecific genus were conspicuously difference between them. The muscle protein electrophoretic patterns was provided to be confirmed the phyletic groups adopted for the subfamily Gobioninae by Banarescu and Nalbant in 1973.
