<권익중전>은 여성의 열행을 핵심 모티프로 하여 창작된 작품이다. 그런데 정절을 지키기 위해 억혼을 거부하고 자결한 이낭자가 죽음 이후 천상선녀로서의 삶과 육신으로 환생한 삶을 살게 됨으로써 작가에 의해 허구적 형상화가 적극적으로 이루어진 작품임을 알 수 있다. 그리하여 이 작품은 여타의 열녀 전승과는 다른 차원에서 검토되고 이해되는 것이 바람직하다는 시각에서 사실성과 환상성을 중심으로 작품의 내용과 성격을 살펴보기로 하였다. 문학에 대한 전통적인 접근법이 모방론에 의존해 있기 때문에 환상성에 대해서는 무지한 것이 사실이다. 그러나 모든 문학 작품은 두 가지 서로 다른 충동의 산물로서, 하나는 경험 세계를 공유할 수 있게 하는 逼眞感과 함께 사건사람상황대상을 模寫하려는 욕구이고, 다른 하나는 권태로부터의 탈출놀이幻影결핍된 것에 대한 갈망독자의 언어 습관을 꿰뚫는 은유적 심상 등을 통해 주어진 것을 변화시키고 리얼리티를 바꾸려는 욕구이다. 이 두 가지 충동이 모든 장르와 형식 속에 특색 있게 혼합되어 있다. 그리하여 이와 같은 두 가지 충동이 <권익중전>에서 어떻게 특색 있게 혼합되어 있는가 하는 것이 본고의 주된 관심사이다. The purpose of this study is to research reality and fantasy in <Kwon Ikchung chon(권익중전)>. The life of a heroine is divided as the present age, a fairy of the heavens and rebirth. The figuration of life as the present age shows the fidelity consciousness by a virtue motif of heroic woman. and that of a fairy of the heavens shows taking vengeance upon a person who has interrupted a marrage. as well that of rebirth shows the happiness of marital life. The figuration of life as the present age which shows the fidelity consciousness by a virtue motif of heroic woman is described by realities of women's life in cho-sun dynasty after 17 century. and that of a fairy of the heavens which shows taking vengeance upon a person who has interrupted a marrage. as well that of rebirth shows the happiness of marital life are described by fantasy derived from misticism of Taoism(도교). These fantasy is applied by the writer for realization of heroine's desires which was failed in the present age. Lastly, I look upon the literary effects of fantasy as mental tension, stability etc. therefore fantasy of <Kwon Ikchung chon(권익중전)> satisfys the mental expectation of reader's.

]The purpose of this study is to research the figure and roles of the Hades in kososul(고소설) ; Mok leon chon(목련전) and Namnyumbuju ji(남염부주지), Wang-rang Panhon chon(왕랑반혼전), Dang Taejong chon(당태종전), Samsa Hoengip Hwangch'on ki(삼사횡입황천기), Je mamu chon(제마무전), Yu-ssi chon(유씨전), Yi kyeryong chon(이계룡전), Mok siryong chon(목시룡전). First of all, a hero's incoming and outgoing from the hades is configurationed by procedures and inducements in every work. And yet, space idea of the Hades is not clearly presentationed in the heavens or underground. Secondarily, the concrete shape is almost configurationed by comparing the hell with paradise, and it carved the hell in relief, then the shape of the hell is showed in several the scriptures of Buddhism and Taoism. However, by the author's consciousness and experience in the world, there existed variation in the configuration of the hell.The other side, roles of the Hades is divided in the four category; punishment and reward, satire and humour, intensive presentation of the theme, fantasy. Punishment and reward is most universal in the roles of the Hades. Satire and humour contributes to assault or jest the social contradictions and unreasonableness. lastly, Fantasy offers mental satisfaction or pleasant sensation.

The purpose of this study is to research the existential aspect and the transmitter's consciousness of <Sham heroine tales>. In the <Sham heroine tales> the materials which had been handed down orally are 18 pieces. In connection with the existential aspect, firstly they are divided into the popular type and the family type. In the 18 pieces, the 5 pieces belong to the popular type and the 13 pieces belong to the family type. Therefore I conjecture that <Sham heroine tales> have been acquired the transmission-power by the transformation which the popular type linked closely with the specific family names.Secondary, by the stem settlement, the 5 pieces which belong to the popular type are devided into three stratum, namely, the standard type, the alter type and the extension type. The other side, in the 13 pieces which belong to the family type, developement of affairs are very intentional with the family-consciousness for background. Likewise the popular type, the 13 pieces which belong to the family type by the stem settlement are devided into three stratum, namely, the standard type, the alter type and the extension type.Thirdly, in the transmitter's consciousness, the critical attitude which was caused by the social frustration is most important of all others. Therefore, <sham heroine tales> maintain always the attacking qualities excessively. Next, there is transmitter's understanding of the woman's physiological need with the extension type as the central figure. Owing to this understanding, transmitters had been represented the thought of the life-respect. In addition to these, there are the family-consciousness, the faithfulness-consciousness and the expectation of the living intelligence etc. And especially the alter type including all types adjusts the focus of the living intelligence surmounting the difficulties.
