파라메트릭 설계법에 의한 고속 파워보트 설계를 위한 연구

현재 일반 조선소의 기본설계 단계에서 이루어지고 있는 선형 설계는 기존의 경험과 사례들을 통한 설계 방법들이 다양하게 개발 되고 이러한 방법들이 상용화된 프로그램으로도 충분히 개발되어져 있다. 하지만, 중소형 레저 선박의 경우 선형의 기본적인 특성이 일반 상선과는 달라 설계를 위한 접근 방법에 차이가 나므로 기존의 설계 프로그램으로는 레저 선박의 설계가 효율적으로 이루어지지 못한다는 문제가 발생하게 된다. 더군다나 선형설계 능력과 실적선 경험 등이 부족한 영세 기업의 경우 별도의 선형설계 전문 인력을 가지는 것조차 힘든 상황이며, 실적선이나 데이터베이스의 모선(parent ship)을 사용하는 선형변환 기법을 사용하는 방법도 쉽지 않은 상황이므로 이를 위한 손쉬운 설계 기법과 프로그램이 제공될 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 엔진으로 추진력을 얻는 파워 보트의 선형 설계를 위해 파라메트릭(parametric) 설계 기법을 창안하였다. 본 파라메트릭 설계 기법은 선형의 형상을 몇 개의 주요 각도와 길이 만에 의해 정의할 수 있도록 하였으며, 각각의 치수는 선형의 유체역학적인 특성과 쉽게 연관되어지도록 선정하였으며, 초보자의 경우에도 이러한 파라미터 수치를 선택하거나 입력하여 손쉽게 새로운 선형을 생성할 수 있도록 하였다.
Skin impermeable sunscreen for Protection from absorption into the body

sunscreens are being developed to protect skin from UV radiation. However, small molecular weight sunscreens were absorbed through the skin due to its small molecular weight after topical application and acts as an environmental hormone. To prevent adverse effects of sunscreens, we designed a sunscreen that is composed of organic sunscreen and biocompatible polysaccharide. this sunscreen has an increased molecular weight by polysaccharide. In this study, we compared the UV protection efficacy of conventional sunscreen and our newly synthesized sunscreen. Also, we measured the difference of their skin penetrative behaviors using skin permeation test and confocal laser scanning microscopy. after topical applications of sunscreens, plasma was collected over time to determine the correlation between degree of skin penetration and molecular weight.
Risk Factors of Advanced Adenoma in Small and Diminutive Colorectal Polyp

The aims of this study were to review the clinicopathological characteristics of diminutive (≤ 5 mm) and small polyps (> 5 mm but < 10 mm) and to evaluate the risk factors of advanced adenoma for polyps of diameter < 10 mm in the colon. The medical records of 4,711 patients who underwent first colonoscopy at outpatient clinics or health promotion center were reviewed retrospectively. We analyzed the presence and risk factors of advanced adenoma, which was defined as a villous or tubulovillous polyp, high-grade dysplasia or intramucosal carcinoma histologically. Total 5,058 polyps were detected in the 4,711 patients, and 93.0% (4,704/5,058) polyps were < 10 mm in size. Among them, advanced adenoma was noted in 0.6% (28/4,704) with a villous component in 19, highgrade dysplasia in 3, and adenocarcinoma in 6. Advanced and non-advanced adenomas differed significantly in age group, gender, and polyp size. Multivariate analysis showed that an advanced age (> 65 years), a male gender, and a polyp size of > 5 mm were risk factors of advanced adenoma. The incidence of advanced adenoma in polyps of < 10 mm was 0.6%. Polyp size, male gender, and age of > 65 years are independent risk factors of advanced adenoma.
흰쥐에 있어서 Paraquat의 毒性에 미치는 抗酸化劑의 影響

This study was designed to examine the influences of antioxidants on toxicity of paraquat in male rats. Paraquat and ascorbic acid were given orally ad libitum with tap water containing paraquat 30 ppm and 100 ppm and ascorbic acid 1000ppm for 10 days, respectively.α-tocopherol(60mg/kg) was administered orally by sonde at 2 days intervals for 10 days. Paraquat at given doses produced markedly a dose-related reduction in water-intake, ratio of liver weight/body weight and glutathione along with the increased aspartate aminotransferase, alkaline phosphatase, serum lipid and ratio of lung weight/body weight. However the combined administration of ascorbic acid and paraquat did not affect the toxic effects of paraquat, whereas combined administration of paraquat and α-tocopherol showed reduction in the toxicities of paraquat. From these experimental results, it could be concluded that α-tocopherol has detoxifying effect on paraquat poisoning as the antioxidant, meanwhile ascorbic acid, one of the antioxidance, does not exert any detoxifying effects.
