      • 일조방해가 스프레이 국화 '옐로우캡'과 '피치팡팡'의 생육 및 수량에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 일조방해에 의한 광 환경의 변화가 스프레이 국화의 생육과 개화, 절화 품질에 미치는 영향에 대해 분석하기 위해 수행하였다. 이를 위해 절화용 스프레이 국화 '옐로우캡'과 '피치팡팡' 품종을 인위적으로 차광 처리하여 무차광 대비 66% 정도의 일조를 방해하였고, 이에 따른 국화의 생육 및 개화 특성, 채화량 등을 조사하였다. 일조방해에 따른 국화의 단위면적당 채화량은 차광과 무차광 처리구에서 유의미한 차이는 없었으나, 개화소요일수는 차광 처리에서 '옐로우캡' 품종은 72.1일, '피치팡팡' 품종은 65.2일로 무차광에 비해 각각 14.1일과 8.9일 정도 개화가 지연되었다. 꽃의 크기와 꽃 수 역시 차광 처리에서 '옐로우캡'과 '피치팡팡' 두 품종 모두 각각 10%와 15%, 30%와 28% 정도 감소하였으며, 화경장은 품종별로 각각 10%와 20%, 줄기의 굵기는 23%와 37%, 절화 생체중은 32%와 33% 정도 감소하여 절화 국화의 품질이 크게 저하되었다. 본 연구의 결과에서 차광 처리한 국화의 개화가 지연됨은 물론 꽃의 크기와 꽃 수가 감소하고 절화의 길이와 생체중 등이 모두 감소한 것으로 볼 때, 인공 건축물 등에 의한 일조방해는 국화의 생장과 화아분화, 화아발달에 필요한 광량을 제한함으로써 절화의 생산성과 품질을 저하시킬 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 일조방해로 인한 국화 재배농가의 피해 구제를 위해 차광 정도에 따른 수확량 감소율 및 상품성 가치 하락률 등에 대한 추가적인 연구가 필요하다. This study was carried out to analyze the effect of changes in the light environment caused by the daylight disturbance on the growth, flowering, and cut flower quality of spray chrysanthemums. The spray chrysanthemum 'Yellow Cap' and 'Pitch PangPang' cultivars for cut flowers were artificially shaded to interfere with 66% of sunlight compared to the non-shading, and then the growing and flowering characteristics, and cut flower yield were investigated accordingly. There was no significant difference in the cut flower yield per unit area between the shading and the non-shading treatments. However, the number of days to flowering was 72.1 days for the 'Yellow Cap' and 65.2 days for the 'Pitch PangPang', which were delayed by 14.1 and 8.9 days, respectively, compared to the non-shading light. In the shading treatment, the flower diameter and the number of flowers also decreased by 10% and 15%, and 30% and 28% for both 'Yellow Cap' and 'Pitch PangPang', respectively. The stem length also decreased by 10% and 20%, the stem diameter by 23% and 37%, and fresh weight by 32% and 33%, respectively. The shading treatment delayed the flowering of chrysanthemums and reduced the growth such as flower diameter, number of flowers, and the length and weight of cut flowers. Based on these results, the daylight disturbance by artificial buildings is expected to reduce the productivity and quality of cut flowers by limiting the light intensity needed for chrysanthemum growth, flower bud differentiation, and flower development. Therefore, further research is needed on the rate of decrease in yield and market value according to the degree of shading to relieve damage to chrysanthemum growers caused by the daylight disturbance.

        적심 시기 및 위치가 절화재배용 겹도라지의 생장과 개화에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 자색 겹꽃이 피어 관상가치가 높은 겹도라지(Platycodon grandiflorum var. duplex Makino)의 절화 재배 적정조건을 확립하기 위하여 적심시기 및 위치가 겹도라지의 생장 및 개화에 미치는 영향을 구명코자하였다. 2년생 겹도라지에 적심시기(6월 25일, 7월 5일,7월 15일, 7월 25일) 및 적심위치(초장 30, 40, 50cm)별로 적심 처리하여 지상부 생육 및 개화특성, 지하부 뿌리 생육특성을 조사하였다. 적심시기가 늦어질수록 초장,절수, 절간장은 감소하였고, 개화기는 더 늦어지는 경향이었다. 모든 적심 처리구에서 측지 발생은 증가하였으며, 특히 6월 25일 적심 처리구에서 10.4개로 가장 많았고 무적심(6.4개) 대비 62% 정도 증가하였다. 적심이가장 빨랐던 6월 25일 처리구에서 비상품화율은 가장 낮아 무적심 대비 35% 정도 감소한 반면, 적심시기가 가장 늦은 7월 25일 처리구에서는 50%로 가장 높아 무적심 대비 51% 증가하였다. 따라서 출하 가능한 상품수량을 비교해 볼 때 6월 25일 처리구에서 무적심 대비 18%증가되었고, 7월 25일 처리구에서는 48% 감소되었다. 초장 30cm 및 40cm 높이에서 적심할 때 분지수 발생이가장 활발하여 무적심 대비 각각 80%, 66% 정도 증가하였고, 적심 위치가 높아질수록 개화기는 더 늦어졌다. 비상품화율은 초장 40cm 높이에서 적심할 때 가장 낮아 무적심 대비 35% 감소하였고, 상품수량은 18% 증가하였다. 모든 적심 처리구에서 도라지 뿌리 특성이 양호하였고 생근수량 또한 3 ~ 7% 정도 증가하였다. 따라서6월 하순경에 초장 40cm 정도에서 적심하는 경우 뿌리부분은 식용 또는 약용으로 이용하면서 지상부는 고품질절화용으로 생산 가능함을 확인하였다. To establish cut flower cultivation method ofPlatycodon grandiflorum var. duplex Makino, the effect ofpinching on plant growth and flowering was investigated inthis study. Pinching was done at intervals of ten days fromJune 25 to July 25. Pinching positions were 30, 40 and 50 cmof plant height. When pinching time was delayed, plantheight, number of nodes and internode length decreased butleaf length and width showed little differences. When pinchingposition was higher, flowering time was more delayed. Themaximum marketable yield was obtained at pinching height of40 cm. In all pinching treatments, root growth characteristicswere seen to be good, and marketable yield increased by3 ~ 7%. From these results, we found that pinching could affectsome characteristics of growth and flowering of P. grandiflorumvar. duplex Makino in cut flower cultivation, particularly regulateflowering time and induce lateral shoot generation, therefore,increase marketable cut flower productivity.

        심비디움의 재배연령과 화분크기에 따른 절화의 수량과 품질

        본 연구는 심비디움의 재배연령과 화분크기에 따른 절화 생 산량과 개화품질을 평가하고자 하였다. 대륜의 노란화색을 가 지는 심비디움 ‘Golden Tiara’ 품종을 실험재료로 사용하였으 며, 재배연차가 3, 4, 5년차로 증가함에 따른 절화 수확량과 특성을 비교하였다. 절화 수확량은 연차가 증가함에 따라 화 서수가 증가하여 5년차에 3년차에 대비 약 2배 증가하였다. 5 년차에서 화서 길이가 40cm미만으로 상품성이 없는 화서도 있었으나 이를 제외하고도 절화 수량이 가장 많았다. 개화소 요일수는 5년차에서 3년차보다 6일 정도 지연되었고 꽃크기 가 5년차에서 3, 4년차보다 감소하는 결과를 보였지만, 절화 품질의 주요인인 화서 길이와 화수는 연차에 따른 차이가 나 타나지 않았다. 관행의 직경 12cm화분과 직경 22cm의 대형 화분에서 재배하여 4년차 식물체의 개화특성을 비교한 결과, 화서의 길이와 꽃크기가 직경 12cm분에서 보다 대형화분에 재배하였을 때 증가한 것을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 심비디움 ‘Golden Tiara’ 품종의 경우 최소 5년까지 절화 수확이 가능한 것으로 판단되며, 이때 관행화분을 지속적으로 이용하는 것 보다 큰 화분으로 분갈이하여 줌으로써 생산성과 품질을 높일 수 있을 것으로 생각된다. Cut flower yield and quality of Cymbidium ‘Golden Tiara’ were investigated depending on cultivation periods with 3, 4, and 5-year-old plants. Inflorescence number increased in response to increased cultivation periods. The inflorescence number was twice in 5-year-old Cymbidium compared with 3-year-old plants. No significant differences in inflorescence length and flower number were showed depending on cultivation periods. Flowering was delayed by 6 days in 5-year-old plants compared with 3-year-old plants. 4-year-old Cymbidium was grown in 12 and 22 cm pots containing 100% bark. Inflorescence length and flower size were longer in the plants grown in 22 cm pots than those grown in 12 cm pots. These results indicate that cut flowers of Cymbidium can be produced at least 5 years without significantly reduction in flower quality and larger pots could increase long-term productivity by enhancing flower quality of Cymbidium for subsequent cut flower production.

        1-MCP Improves the Postharvest Quality of Cut Spray Carnation (Dianthus caryophyllus L.) ‘Optima’ Flowers

        The aim of the present work was to study the role of 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP) on vase life and other postharvest qualities of cut spray carnation flowers. The experiment was arranged in a completely randomized factorial design composed of two factors: 1-MCP concentration at four levels (0, 0.4, 0.6, and 0.8 g・m-3) and a period of treatment at 2 levels (3 and 6 hours) with four replications. According to the analysis of variance, time duration, 1-MCP concentration and their interaction had significant effects on the vase life, ethylene production,anthocyanin concentration, and weight loss of cut flowers (P ≥ 0.01). The treatment for 6 hours was better than 3hours in all concentrations of 1-MCP. The longest vase life (16.25 days) was obtained when 0.6 g・m-3 1-MCP was used for 6 hours. Ethylene production by freshly cut flowers in the treatment of 0.6 g・m-3 1-MCP for 6 hours was negligible as compared with the control. Applying 1-MCP at any dose significantly minimized the % weight loss as compared to the control on days 5 and 8. Interaction between 1-MCP concentrations and a period of treatment on chlorophyll content was not significant.

      • 동계 근권온도 및 가온방법이 양액재배 장미'리틀마블'의 생육과 수량에 미치는 영향

        This experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of root zone heating on the growth of cutminirose Rosa hybrida L. Little Marble in winter season. Effects of four different root zone temper-atures of 16, 20, 24oC and non-heating control on the growth and productivity were compared. Har-vested cut-flowers were measured for stem length, stem diameter, fresh and dry weights, numbers ofleaves, stems and flowers, days to flower, and chlorophyll concentration. The results showed that meanheight was the greatest at 16oC. Days to flower was the shortest at 24oC. Fresh and dry weights of top(shoot+leaf+flower), shoot and leaf were the greatest at 20oC. Stem and flower numbers were thegreatest at 16oC, but leaf number was the greatest at 20oC. Mean cut flower yield was the greatest at16oC. Chlorophyll concentration was slightly higher at 16oC, but was not significantly different amongthe treatments. Stem diameter was the greatest at 20oC. Dry matter was the greatest at 24oC. Totalyield of cut rose stems increased with increasing temperature. Combined heating could save 24% infuel cost as compared to the air heating alone. The results obtained suggested that optimal root zonetemperature for the growth of cut rose ittle Marblewas 20oC, and the greenhouse heating energycan be saved by minimal air heating combined with root zone heating to 20oC.

        플라워숍에서의 판매가격표시제도 활용에 대한 소비자와 판매자 인식

        The purpose of this study was to conduct survey of 237 Korean domestic consumers and 32 flower shop sellers to investigate the consumer perceptions and satisfaction with the use of open price systems in flower shops and suggest effective open price systems for Korean flower markets. The price of a cut flower and the packaging methods, were found to be the most important purchase decision factors by consumers and sellers. Consumers were more aware of the benefits of open price systems for cut flowers in a flower shop than sellers, and both consumers and sellers agreed that open price systems could help consumers’ reasonable cut flower consumption price reliability the most. Although the consumers had no objections to the open price system, sellers cited that daily fluctuation of cut flower prices (4.25), the ambiguity of open price system standards (3.78), and the inconvenience of open price systems (3.69) as objections to using the open price system. According to the survey of effective open price systems in a flower shop, consumers preferred to buy cut flowers in a bundle (3–4 stems) rather than a stem or a bunch, but the sellers had no preferences for the selling unit. Both buyers and sellers preferred the vase making as the best method of price indication. Consumers were more satisfied with open price systems of cut flowers higher than sellers expected (p < 0.001), with cut flower price (3.97) being more satisfied than cut flower quality (3.75). Overall, open price systems for cut flowers would improve consumer trust and satisfaction with cut flower prices, assisting in the activation of the Korean domestic flower industry further. 본 연구는 국내 플라워숍에서 절화의 판매가격표시제도를활용하는 것에 대한 소비자와 판매자의 인식 및 만족도를 알아보고 국내 화훼시장에서의 효과적인 판매가격표시제도의활용방안을 모색하고자 국내 소비자 237명, 판매자 32명을대상으로 설문을 진행하였다. 소비자와 판매자 모두 절화의가격이 절화 상품의 포장법과 함께 가장 높은 구매 결정 요인으로 나타났다. 플라워숍의 절화 판매가격표시제도 활용 장점에 대해 소비자가 판매자보다 높게 인식하고 있었으며, 소비자와 판매자 모두 판매가격표시제도를 활용함으로써 소비자의 합리적인 절화 소비 및 절화 가격 신뢰에 가장 큰 도움을준다고 응답하였다. 소비자는 절화 판매가격표시제도에 대한불편한 점이 모두 보통(3.00) 이하로 나온 것에 비해, 판매자의 경우 매번 바뀌는 가격(4.25) 및 가격 표기 기준의 애매함(3.78), 가격 표기의 번거로움(3.69)을 불편한 요인으로 인식하였다. 효과적인 판매가격표시제도 방법에 대한 설문에서 소비자는 한 송이, 한 단 보다는 3~4줄기의 한 묶음씩 판매를선호하였고, 판매자는 판매 단위에 따른 선호 차이가 없었다. 가격 표시 방법에는 소비자와 판매자 모두 화병에 가격을 표시하는 것을 가장 선호하였다. 전반적인 절화 판매가격표시제도에 대하여 소비자들은 판매자들이 기대하는 이상으로 만족도가 높았으며(P<0.001), 특히 절화 품질(3.75)보다도 절화가격(3.97)에 대한 만족도가 더 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통해, 절화 판매가격표시제도가 활성화된다면 소비자들의절화 가격에 대한 신뢰도와 만족도를 높여줄 것이며 국내 화훼산업 활성화에 도움이 될 것으로 판단한다.

      • 일조방해가 절화 장미의 생육 및 수량에 미치는 영향

        This study was carried out to analyze the effect of changes in the light environment caused by the daylight disturbance on the productivity and quality of the standard cut flower rose cultivar 'Monet'. It was artificially shaded to obstruct the sunlight and the productivity and growing characteristics of roses according to the time of daylight disturbance were investigated. The number of cut flowers per unit area (3.3m<sup>2</sup>) of the cut flower rose 'Monet' was 40 stems in the control, while in the 4-hour, 8-hour, and 12-hour treatments, it was 32, 29, and 25, respectively. As the daylight disturbance time was increased, the number of cut flowers showed a tendency to decrease. In the case of cut flower characteristics related to the quality of cut roses, all characteristics such as flower width, flower height, petal length, and petal width, decreased by 10 to 20% in the 12-hour treatment compared to the control. In addition, growth characteristics such as peduncle length, peduncle thickness, and cut flower height, which determine the marketability of cut roses, also tended to decrease as the daylight disturbance time increased. On the other hand, the number of days to flowering increased by 14.0% from 24.3 to 27.7. The overall growth characteristics were contracted and flowering was delayed as the time of daylight disturbance increased. In the results of this study, as the daylight disturbance time increased, flower size, cut flower length, and fresh weight was decreased. This is due to the decrease in the total photosynthetic amount as the daily average photosynthetic photon flux density (PPFD) was decreased, resulting in a decrease in the quality of roses. It is judged that it is because they do not receive enough carbohydrates necessary for growth and development.

        국내 온라인 절화 도매 플랫폼에 대한 화훼 장식 종사자 인식 및 이용현황

        This study surveyed 300 workers in the floral industry in Korea to evaluate their perceptions and usage of online cut flower wholesale platforms, with the aim of providing insights for improving these services. The findings revealed that 99% of the respondents were aware of online cut flower wholesale platforms, and 68% had used the service. Most users (46.5%) had been using the service for 1 to 2 years, and over half made 6 – 15 purchases per month, spending less than 150,000 KRW per purchase (62.4%). However, respondents purchased cut flowers more frequently from offline wholesale markets than online platforms (p < 0.001). Floral industry workers prioritized cut flower quality (4.85) and product diversity (4.75) as the most significant factors influencing their purchase decisions. They assessed the quality of the cut flowers from online platforms based on their previous purchase experience (3.97) and product photos (3.87). Respondents considered the main advantage of online platforms to be time-saving (4.39), but expressed concerns about the freshness of cut flowers (4.30) and the quality of products (4.02). Users found that the delivered products usually matched their orders (4.19), and they were generally satisfied with the user-friendly webpage (4.03) and the easy accessibility of the purchase process (4.00). However, they expressed dissatisfaction with the product quality. When comparing satisfaction with purchasing cut flowers from online platforms and offline markets, respondents indicated higher satisfaction with the platform concerning the price and return process. However, they were much more satisfied with the offline market due to the freshness and diversity of cut flowers, which were the most critical factors for the floral industry workers when making purchase decisions. In conclusion, enhancing cut flower quality control and expanding product diversity will be essential for improving online cut flower wholesale platform services. Further research into newly developed floral markets is necessary to ensure the sustainable improvement of the Korean floral industry.

        Breeding of new rose cultivar Best Red with red color flower and medium fragrance

        A new standard rose cultivar Magic Pink was bred from thecross between light yellow standard cultivar Medeo and pink standard cultivar Veronica at the National Horticulture Research Institute. The cross was made in 2001 and MagicPink was finally selected in 2006 after investigating charactstandard cultivar grows vigorously and has fashionable flower color. The major characteristics of this cultivar are 184.8stems/m2/year in yield, 63.0cm in length of cut flower, 7.2 cm in flower diameter, 28.5 in petal number, and 10.4 days in vaselife. This cultivar can be propagated by both cutting and grafting.than that of control cultivar, Noblesse. A new standard rose cultivar Magic Pink was bred from thecross between light yellow standard cultivar Medeo and pink standard cultivar Veronica at the National Horticulture Research Institute. The cross was made in 2001 and MagicPink was finally selected in 2006 after investigating charactstandard cultivar grows vigorously and has fashionable flower color. The major characteristics of this cultivar are 184.8stems/m2/year in yield, 63.0cm in length of cut flower, 7.2 cm in flower diameter, 28.5 in petal number, and 10.4 days in vaselife. This cultivar can be propagated by both cutting and grafting.than that of control cultivar, Noblesse.
