      • Log-Rolling Block Copolymer Cylinders

        <P>Shear is an effective method to create long-range order in micro- or nanostructured soft materials. When simple shear flow is applied, particles or polymer microdomains tend to align in the shear direction to minimize viscous dissipation; thus, transverse alignment (so-called log-rolling) is not typically favored. This is the first study to report the transverse alignment of cylinder-forming coil coil block copolymers. Poly(styrene-b-methyl methacrylate), PS PMMA, where the PS blocks form the matrix, can adopt a metastable PMMA hemicylindrical structure when confined in a thin film, and this hemicylindrical structure can orient either along the shear direction or transverse to the shear direction depending on the shearing temperature. A monolayer of PS PMMA forming full cylinders exhibits log-rolling alignment.         대중교통 이용 편의에 대한 서비스 디자인 제안

        해외여행의 일반화에 따른 우리나라 국내외 입국자수의 증가로 2001년 항공 수요를 분담하고, 아시아 허브 공항의 축을 담당할 인천국제 공항이 개장되었다. 이후 김포 공항은 국내 항공 수요만 담당하였으나 2007년 이후로 중국, 일본과 같은 지리적 인접국에 대한 국제선 수요가 증가하였다. 여기에 공항철도 운영으로 이용객의 접근성이 높아져 지속적인 증가가 예상되지만 여기에 발생되는 이용객의 문제점에 대한 연구는 충분히 수행되지 않고 있다. 본 연구에서는 HCI 방법으로 공항철도를 이용하는 승객들의 문제점을 찾고 이에 해결 방안을 제시한다. 이를 수행하기 위해 심층인터뷰(in-depth interview) 방식으로 대중교통을 이용하여 김포공항을 이용하는 사람들의 니즈(needs)와 페인포인트(pain points)를 찾았다. 여기서 도출 된 짐에 대한 불편함을 바탕으로 ‘어떻게 하면 이동을 부담감을 줄일 수 있을까?’라는 디자인 코어(design core)를 도출할 수 있었다. 디자인 코어를 바탕으로 지미서비스(zimmy service)를 제안한다. 지미서비스는 첫 번째로 ZIMMY early delivery service, 두번째로 ZIMMY freeway service, 마지막으로 ZIMMY anabada movement이다. 이는 대중교통을 이용해 김포공항을 이용하는 이용객의 편의를 높이기 위한 서비스로서 이후 다양한 서비스디자인의 연구와 개발이 기대된다. Incheon International airport opened at 2001 to be hub airport of Asia and to take Kimpo International airport’s share of airline demands according to increaing of travelers because oversea trips have been common. After Incheon International airport opened, Kimpo International airport only had taken in charge of domestic demands. However Kimpo airport started to run some international airlines because there were increse of International airlines demands in nearest countris like China and Japan since 2007. The accessability of Kim-po airport by public transportation is better than In-cheon airport. Although passengers of airport railroad express are predicted to be increased because of easy transportation access, there are not many research to take care of airport railroad express users. This study will use HCI method to find the pain points of users and to suggest solutions. In this study, we would like to suggest Zimmy Service, which is deducter by service design process, for accessconvenience to ustomers who are using Airport Express Railroad Gimpo station. We conduct IDI(in-depth interview) to find customer’s needs and pain points and were drown a design core as ‘How might we reduce inconvenience when they move?’. By design core, we are suggesting Zimmy service. There are 3 elements in Zimmy service, early delivery service, freeway service and anabada movement. It is the service design in order to increase access convenience who a using public transportation to go to the Gimpo Airport. And more research and development of service design is expected to suggest various services for public transportation users.

        Erythrophagocytosis of Lead-Exposed Erythrocytes by Renal Tubular Cells: Possible Role in Lead-Induced Nephrotoxicity

        <P>Background: Nephrotoxicity associated with lead poisoning has been frequently reported in epidemiological studies, but the underlying mechanisms have not been fully described.</P><P>Objectives: We examined the role of erythrocytes, one of the major lead reservoirs, in lead-associated nephrotoxicity.</P><P>Methods and results: Co-incubation of lead-exposed human erythrocytes with HK-2 human renal proximal tubular cells resulted in renal tubular cytotoxicity, suggesting a role of erythrocytes in lead-induced nephrotoxicity. Morphological and flow cytometric analyses revealed that HK-2 cells actively phagocytized lead-exposed erythrocytes, which was associated with phosphatidylserine (PS) externalization on the erythrocyte membrane and generation of PS-bearing microvesicles. Increased oxidative stress and up-regulation of nephrotoxic biomarkers, such as NGAL, were observed in HK-2 cells undergoing erythrophagocytosis. Moreover, TGF-β, a marker of fibrosis, was also significantly up-regulated. We examined the significance of erythrophagocytosis in lead-induced nephrotoxicity in rats exposed to lead via drinking water for 12 weeks. We observed iron deposition and generation of oxidative stress in renal tissues of lead-exposed rats, as well as the histopathological alterations such as tubulointerstitial lesions, fibrosis, and up-regulation of KIM-1, NGAL, and TGF-β.</P><P>Conclusions: Our data strongly suggest that erythrophagocytosis and subsequent iron deposition in renal tubular cells could significantly enhance nephrotoxicity following lead exposure, providing insight on lead-associated kidney damages.</P><P>Citation: Kwon SY, Bae ON, Noh JY, Kim K, Kang S, Shin YJ, Lim KM, Chung JH. 2015.         For these reasons we can consider all about Nae-Po-Je once again. Si-Jo divide the form into Pyung-Si-Jo, Sa-Sul-Si-Jo, Ji-Rum-Si-Jo and Jun-Hu-Ri-Si-Je. And it can also be separated Kyung-Je, centered in Seoul and Kyung-Ki area, and Hyang-Je, including the rest of that in Korea. Among these, Hyang-Je divide itself into Wan-Je, Young-Je and Nae-Po-Je. Specially, Nae-Po-Je, centered on Chung-cheong province, has more splendid ornament and accurate diction than any other shape of Je. Considering all aspects of Na-Po-Je, it shows accurate diction such as Jae-num-Eo, So-Chi-Neun and fabulous ornaments. Besides various pattern of rhythm, unique vocal communication which is similar to Ga-Gok. In this point, I cannot help making suggestion thar we must not hesitate to support intangible heritage like Si-Jo which is easy to perish away forever for advance our own tradition, moreover we should not only be assiduous to keep and develop our cultural heritage continuously, but also steady attention to Si-Jo.

        The objective of this study was to investigate the managing realities of EVD and provide a descriptive survey with the attempt to obtain basic data needed for the standardization of EVD management. For that purpose, 220 questionnaire copies were distributed to those nurses who were working with intensive care units at university hospitals, general hospitals, semi-general hospitals in Seoul, Kyongki-de and local areas. Of 158 returned questionnaire copies, 139 were used for analysis. Data were collected during the term of academic seminars of Neurosurgery Nursing Committee and KICA (Korea Intensive Care Association), ranging from Oct. 26 through 27. 2000. The tools utilized a structured questionnaire form consisting of 21 questions on general characteristics, the level of understanding, the level of work performance, standard management guidelines, etc. The data collected were analysed with frequency, percentage, mean vague, chi -square test using the SPSS 10.0 program Findings were revealed, as follows: For managing the prevention of EVD infection, aseptic technique was found to be of the most importance (48.9%),'the technique should be carried out at an operation room'(92.8%), but it was actually performed at intensive care units (over 51.5%). 'The term of antibiotics use should be less than 7 days' (81.8%), while it was actually executed for less than 7 days (49.5%). 'The proper time of quittance from it should be within less than 7 days'(74.1%) but actual quittance was executed only by 51.1%. 'Set exchange is needed' by 54.0% but actual exchange was implemented merely by 28.1%. 'The subject of management should be nurses' was reflected by 40% but actually 52.0% were carried out. As a result of hating analysed the understanding of the management of EVD by general characteristics, a significant difference was found in the necessity for set exchange by hospitals, in the time of quittance of a catheter, and in ablution items by work experience. The result of hating analysed the work performance levels of EVD management by general characteristics revealed that a significant difference in administration facilities of medicine by the classification of hospitals, especially the use of antibiotics and the quitting time of a catheter by the classification of intensive care units, and in the use of antibiotics and ablution items by the standard management guidelines.

        척골 지단 신경의 전기생리학적 연구

        The ulnar nerve extends down the arm, across the elbow, and into the hand. It provides sensation to the little and ring fingers and activates many of the small muscles in the hand. The determination of peripheral nerve conduction velocity is an important part of ulnar nerve evaluation. The electrodiagnostic value as neurophysiologic investigative procedure has been known for many years but normal value of digital nerve was not reported in korea. The purpose of this investigation was to measure the digital nerve conduction velocity of ulnar nerve for obtain clinically useful reference value and compare difference in each fingers and then compare with the other countries. 71 normal Korean volunteers (age, 19-65 years; 142 hands) examined who has no history of peripheral neuropathy, diabetic mellitus, chronic renal failure, endocrinedisorders, anti-cancer medicine, anti-tubercle medicine, alcoholism, trauma, radiculopathy. Nicolet Viking Ⅱ(EMG machine) was use for detected conduction velocity and amplitude of digital nerve in ulnar nerve. Data analysis was performed using SPSS. Descriptive analysis was used for obtain mean and standard deviation and independent t-test was used to compare with ring and little finger. Conduction velocity of the right ring finger was 57.44m/sec and little finger was 55.32msec. The left ring finger was 55.55msec and little finger was 54.11msec. Amplitude of the right ring finger was 30.28µV and little finger was 48.36µV. The left ring finger was 30.67µV and little finger was 57.76µV. There were significantly difference between ring and little in amplitude (p<.05) but there were no statistically difference between conduction velocity of ring and little finger (p>.05). The amplitude of little finger are greater than ring finger. The present results revealed that electodiagnosis can easily perform in little finger for digital nerve of ulnar nerve study.
