        A comprehensive simulation software package was developed in C base on the work done by Yeadon et al.(1990) and Kwon (1993a) in the aim of making it easy to apply the experimental simulation technigues to the human airborne movement studies. This package consists of 3 programs: simulation variable computation program (PREP), simulation program (SIM) and the 3-dimensional graphic program (3DMAN). All programs are driven by an easy-to-use menu system and written compatible to KWON3D Motion Analysis Package Version 2.1 (Kwon, 1993b). Program PREP consists of 4 menus: `Edit Data´, `Prepare´ `Angular Momentum´ and `Optimization´. The `Edit Data´ environment is an editor for the lengths of the segments and body lines. The `Prepare´ menu computes the internal orientation angles of the segments while the `Angular Momentum´ menu computes the mean airborne angular momentum of the body and other initial conditions such as the initial position and velocity of the body CM and the initial external orientation of the body. The `Optimization´ menu performs angular momentum optimization proposed by Kwon (1993a). A geometric 15-segment body model - Yeadon-Kwon model (Kwon, 1993b) - with at most 38 degrees of freedom including 3 external orientation angles (somersault, inclination and twist angles) was employed to compute the simulation variables. SIM consists of 2 menus: `Edit Angles´ and `Simulate´. The `Edit Angles´ environment is an editor for the internal orientation angles of the segments. Users can intentionally manipulate the internal orientation angles for the simulation of modified trials. The program displays time-angle curves segment by segment. The `Simulate´ menu actually performs simulation. The initial conditions can be directly manipulated in the program menu environment. The simulation program was tested by several theoretical configurations to screen out the flaws in the theory and to isolate coding mistakes. The simulated results were compared with the predicted results and the program showed good agreements between the simulated results and the theoretical predictions. The simulation program was then applied to several gymnastic maneuvers and springboard dives for testing. 3DMAN was developed in the extension of the traditional `Stick Figure´ graphics. The program is segment-oriented and the 3-D shape of each segment is defined defined independently in a graphic model file to allow the users to use different body models with different, combinations of segments. The model file was designed easy to edit so as to allow the users to change the graphic model easily to meet their specific needs. The graphic model file can be edited using any text editor such as `EDIT´ of DOS. Once the `3-D Graphics´ option is activated followed by the registration of the graphic model files, the program draws the 3-D shapes of the segments whose model files are registered. All the graphics-related menus including registration of the segment graphic model files are accessible within the graphic environment.

        The main purpose of the study is to develop a computer program in the personal computer which calculates numerically the inflow from the rainfall and displays the inflow hydrograph on a CRT. The computer programs, which were developed for the inflow forecasting of the short-range, employed the storage function method. The program which computes the inflow from the rainfall would be applicable effectively both to planning the daily/weekly power generation and to operating the dam for the flood control. The inflow calculated by the computer program gave a good agreement with the actual inflow for the Choon Chun and the Cheong Pyung dam.

In this paper, We describe the design and implementation of image marking system that help user manipulate their own image. The user can edit, print and merge their own image with other offered image using World Wide Web. Also the user don't need to buy a required software at a high price but only use World Wide Web that offer the service.

      • New Deal의 思想的基盤에 대한 一考

        1929年에 일어나기 시작한 大恐慌(The Great Depression)은 19세기말에 經濟革命을 완성하고 1920年代에 大恐慌을 성취한 America 資本主義經濟를 급속히 파멸에 허덕이게 하였고 America 社會의 전통적 사고방식과 생활양식까지도 크게 동요케 하였다. 이 大恐慌을 극복하여 America의 資本主義를 소생시키고 自由, 民主主義를 건전한 기반위에 회복시키고 다시는 이와 같은 經濟上의 참극이 일어나지 않게 하고자 한 것이 F.D.Roosevelt정부의 New Deal이었다. New Deal의 根本思想은 대체로 民主的 傳統 즉 1912年의 革新黨(Progressive Party)의 政綱, 大衆黨(Popular Party)의 政綱 또는 기타 歷史의 유물로서 존재하는 諸文書에 나타난 思想에 근거를 두고 있다. 그러나 New Deal은 本質的으로 保守的인 側面과 革新的인 側面을 아울러 가지고 있고 革新主義(Progressivism)와는 달리 획기적으로 새로운 출발을 했다는 점. 즉 革局面을 개척하여 America社會와 歷史의 方向을 크게 전환시켰다는 점을 잊어서는 아니된다. New Deal은 구제(Relief), 회복(Recovery), 개혁(Reform)이라는 "3R"을 목표로 諸政策을 수행한 것이고 특히 개혁면에서 自由放任主義(Laissez-Faire)를 포기하고 개인주의와 자본주의를 新世代의 새로운 諸條件에 맞도록 크게 修正해 놓았다. 이와 같이 America의 政治, 經濟, 社會 全般에 一大轉換을 초래한 New Deal의 思想的 기반이 무엇인가 하는 것을 규명했는데 특히 전통적인 革新主義와 New Deal과의 관계를 분석하고 F.D.Roosevelt의 Brain Trust들의 정치사상을 검토하며 New Deal의 정치사상의 근본과 New Deal의 본질 및 현대 America사회에 무엇을 가져 왔는가 하는 것을 밝혔다. The Great Depression which began in 1929 made American capitalistic economy be driven rapidly into the fathomless pit and caused a great change in the traditional way of thinking and life style in American society. The ends of New Deal by F.D.Roosevelt government were to restore American capitalism by overcoming this Great Depression. to put democracy on the firm ground again. and not to let this economic catastrophe come again. The basic idea of New Deal was based on some democratic ideas which had been handed down from the past:the policy of Progresssive Party in 1912. the policy of Popular Party. various democratic ideas contained in the historic papers. Basically speaking. New Deal had both conservative and progressive aspects. I think that it must be remembered that New Deal, different from progressivism, set out a revolutionary stary, and that it greatly changed the direction of American history and society. New Deal was executed with the purpose of 3R-relief, recovery, and reform, especially it gave up Laissez-Faire and tried to adjust individualism and capitalism to the new era. In this paper I tried to illustrate what the basic ideas of New Deal were, to analyze the interrelationship of New Deal and traditional progressvivism, to explain the basic ideas of New Deal by surveying the political thoughts of F.D.Roosevelt's Brain Trust, and finally to show what it brought to modern American society.

      • 교합성 골수강내 금속정으로 치료한 대퇴골 골절의 치료

        대퇴골 간부 골절시 교합성 골수강내 금속정을 이용한 견고한 고정은 조기 관절 운동과 조기 체중부하가 가능한 보편적인 수술적 치료방법으로 그 사용이 증가하고 있다. 그리고 최근에는 골수강내 금속정이 대퇴골 간부 골절 뿐만 아니라 대퇴골의 근위부나 원위부에 치우친 골절이나 청소년기의 대퇴골 간부 골절의 치료에도 확대되고 있다. 본 논문은 대퇴골 골절 환자 54례를 대상으로 금속정 삽입술의 적응증의 확대와 그에 수반되는 문제점에 관하여 증례 분석 및 결과를 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하고자 한다. The rigid internal fixation of femur shaft fracture with intramedullary nailing enables early joint motion and weight bearing. This procedure has been used with wide popularity because it is possible simultaneously to preserve the range of motion and to obtain the bone union. But in the proximal and distal femur fracture, the interlocking screws are too close to the fracture site, the rigid fixation cannot be achieved and when early weight bearing is permitted, failure of the metal is possible. Also, when femur fractures in the adolescence be treated with traction followed by casting, sometimes angular deformity and shortening may develope. These problems have solved to the use by intramedullary nailing. The authors reviewed and analyzed 54 cases of the fractures of femur treated by interlocking nails at Sang-Gye Paik Hospital from August 1989 to July 1992. The results were as follows ; 1.Among the 54 patients, male were 42 and female were 12. 2.The mean time of bone union was 19.3 weeks. 3.The authors usually used the closed locked nailing technique to fix the mid-shaft fracture of femur. In cases such as mid-shaft fracture combined wish proximal or distal femoral fracture, for the stability of fracture and the early mobilization, a reconstruction nail or modified nailing technique was used and an excellent bone union was obtained without any complication. 4.In a mid-shaft fractures of the femur in adolescents or young adult, the authors used interlocking nails of proper length or diameter by cutting-off the distal portion of the nail or by over-reaming of the too narrow medullary canal, and the outcome was favorable.
