      • 樹木園 所藏標本을 中心으로 한 國內 木本 植物의 分布地와 識別에 대해서(Ⅹ) : 노박덩굴과에 대해서 Celastraceae

        樹友표본관(SNUA)에 소장된 표본을 중심으로 정리한 결과 국내 자생하는 노박덩굴과는 3속(노박덩굴속, 사철나무속, 미역줄나무속) 12종이 확인되었다. 섬회나무와 푼지나무는 채집된 표본이 없어 국내 분포에 대해서 확인할 수 없었다. 반면 줄사철나무는 잎의 형태와 동아의 모양이 중국에 분포하는 E. fortunei와 상당한 차이를 보여 변종보다는 독립된 종으로 처리하는 것이 적절하다고 판단된다. 또한, 버들회나무, 좀참빗살나무는 참빗살나무 혹은 좁은잎참빗살나무의 이명으로 판단된다. 본 연구 결과 서해안 경기도 옹진군 대청도와 전남 목포시 유달산에서 채집된 개체는 중국 남부에 분표하는 C. aculeatus Merr.와 매우 유사하여 이종이 국내에 분포하는 것으로 판단되며 이에 대한 자세한 조사를 통해 학명상 문제점이 해결되어야 한다고 판단된다. 본 연구 결과를 중심으로 2속에 대한 검색표와 각 종의 분포도를 제시하였다. To clarify the taxonomy of Celastraceae, herbarium specimens collected from South Korea past fifty years were examined on the basis of leaf, flower, and fruit morphology. The morphological characters showed that three genera (Euonymus, Celastrus, and Tripterigium) with 12 taxa could be recognized. The current study could not confirm the existence of E. chibae Makino, C. flagellaris Rupr. in south Korea due to the absence of specimen at SNUA. On the other hand, E. fortunei var. radicans justified species status as E. radicans Siebold ex Miq. due to the distinctive bud shape and leaf form. Also, a plausible suggestion was that E. trichocarpus, and E. bungiana be recognized as synonyms of E. sieboldianus or E. maackii in Korea. Results from this current study also showed that C. aculeatus Merr. in southern China may be present in western island of Korea. Systematic redicans, E. verucosus and E. pauciflorus as nomenclatural problems should radicans, E. verucosus and E. pauciflorus as well as nomenclatural problems should be clarified and solved. Finally using a key and a limited sample of the T. B. Lee herbarium specimens (SNUA) to all taxa, the distribution maps were provided here.

        상주 소권역내 중점조사지역(노음산, 지장산, 385고지)의 일반식물상 및 특정식물 분포를 2005년 5월부터 9월까지 각각 3회 조사하였는데 본 소권역에서 채집된 식물은 총 71과 139속 186분류군이었다. 또한 본 소권역에 분포하는 특정식물종은 5등급은 확인되지 않았으며, 4등급 2분류군, 3등급 9분류군, 2등급 4분류군, 1등급 9분류군으로 모두 24개 분류군이 확인되었다. 각 지역에서 확인된 특정식물 종을 등급별로 나누어 등급별 종수와 등급별 평가점수를 곱하여 합산한 산지별 평가점수는 총점이 106점이고 노음산이 64점으로 가장 높았으며, 지장산 34점, 385고지 18점 순으로 나타났다. 노음산의 일부 지역은 산불의 피해와 인간의 간섭에 의한 산림식생의 변화가 매우 확연하게 나타나고 있으며, 385고지는 대부분 과수원과 농경지로 이용되고 있어 식생이 많이 파괴되었다. 조사 권역에서 발견된 특정식물종 중 4등급에 해당되는 갈사초와 청포아풀은 모두 노음산 동쪽 사면의 해발고도 약 200m 부근의 지장지 주변에서 발견되었으며, 등산로가 대부분 완성되어 있지만 많은 사람들이 이용하고 있지는 않아 위협정도가 높지는 않은 것으로 생각된다. This study was carried out to investigate the flora of major mountains (Noeumsan, Jijangsan, and 385 height) located in Sangju, Gyeongsangbuk-do. Field collections were conducted three times from April to September in 2005. From the exploration, total of 71 families, 139 genera, and 186 taxa were collected. The flora of surveyed area included 24 taxa as the endangered species. Investigated sites were scored by the number of taxa multiplied by their conservation priority grade. The total scored points of the surveyed area were 106 points. The scored points were listed as follows; Noeumsan (64 points), and Jijangsan (34), and 385 height (18). Carex ligulata var. austrokoreensis and Poa viridula which are the 4th conservation priority graded species, were found at Noeumsan, but these taxa currently seemed no apparent threat.

        Fibrous polyethylenimine/polyvinyl chloride crosslinked adsorbent for the recovery of Pt(IV) from acidic solution: Adsorption, desorption and reuse performances

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>This study focused on evaluating the characteristics and performance of polyethylenimine (PEI)/polyvinyl chloride (PVC)-crosslinked fiber (PEI/PVC-CF) as an adsorbent for Pt(IV) sorption. To fabricate the PEI/PVC-CF, a PEI/PVC crosslinked polymer mixture was synthesized through the alkylation reaction at 80 °C for 6 h and then this polymer mixture was extruded into fibers in water. The analyses of SEM and FTIR were performed to identify the adsorptive characteristics of the PEI/PVC-CF and the binding mechanism between the Pt(IV) and adsorbent. The valuable sorption performance of Pt(IV) by the PEI/PVC-CF were demonstrated from the results of isotherm and kinetic experiments. The pseudo-first-order kinetic model was adequate to describe kinetic data obtained at 25 and 50 mg/L, and the pseudo-second-order model was suitable for 100 and 200 mg/L. The isotherm data fitted well to the Langmuir model and the maximum uptake was evaluated to be 217.31 mg/g. According to thermodynamic studies, the adsorption process of Pt(IV) by PEI/PVC-CF was endothermic and spontaneous. The mixture of HCl and thiourea was also used as an eluent for desorption of Pt(IV) from loaded-adsorbent. As a result, nearly 100% of desorption efficiency was achieved at above 20 mM thiourea concentration in 0.01 M HCl. Besides, the sorption-desorption experiments exhibited that the PEI/PVC-CF could be reused repeatedly at least five cycles.         The Unseen Threat: Microplastic Emissions from Face Masks and Limited Public Awareness

        Masks are typically made of plastic materials, which can contribute to plastic pollution if not properly disposed. A survey should be conducted to assess the public awareness of microplastics (MP) emissions and mask disposal, which could inform targeted educational campaigns to promote sustainable practices. This study used an online survey to gather data from a sample of the general public aged 20 years or older who had used masks. The survey included questions on mask usage, disposal, and awareness of the presence of MP in masks. The survey found that, although awareness of the risks of MP was high, the respondents’ understanding of them was low, particularly among younger individuals. The survey also revealed that more than half of the respondents did not know whether their masks contained plastic materials and that there was a lack of awareness regarding the potential environmental and health impacts of improper mask disposal. These results revealed that it is crucial to raise public awareness of the environmental and health impacts of improper mask disposal and the presence of MP in masks.

        Idiopathic acute eosinophilic pneumonia in a 14-month-old girl

        Idiopathic acute eosinophilic pneumonia (IAEP), characterized by acute febrile respiratory failure associated with diffuse radiographic infiltrates and pulmonary eosinophilia, is rarely reported in children. Diagnosis is based on an association of characteristic features including acute respiratory failure with fever, bilateral infiltrates on the chest X-ray, severe hypoxemia and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid >25% eosinophils or a predominant eosinophilic infiltrate in lung biopsies in the absence of any identifiable etiology. We present a 14-month-old girl who was admitted to our pediatric intensive care unit because of acute respiratory distress. She had a fever, dry cough, and progressive dyspnea for 1 day. Chest X-ray showed multifocal consolidations, increased interstitial markings, parenchymal emphysema and pneumothorax. IAEP was confirmed by marked pulmonary infiltrates of eosinophils in the lung biopsy specimen. Most known causes of acute eosinophilic pneumonia, such as exposure to causative drugs, toxins, second-hand smoking and infections were excluded. Her symptoms were resolved quickly after corticosteroid therapy.

        Ascl2 has been reported to induce the differentiation of TFH cells and the activation of TFH cells, which are essential for development of Sjogren's syndrome (SS). This study tested Ascl2 to determine its role in the development of SS. NOD/ShiLtJ mice were injected with the overexpression vector of Ascl2 and the infiltration of lymphocytes into salivary or lacrimal glands. Inflammatory cytokines or chemo-attractive -factor for T or B cells were also determined. The activation of TFH cells were tested using the specific marker of TFH cells. Ascl2 level was also tested in SS patients. CXCR5 were increased by the administration of Ascl2 (p<0.0001) in both salivary and lacrimal glands. Pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemo-attractive factor such as IL-6, TNF-α, IL-8, PD-1, IL-21 and Bcl-6 were also increased by Ascl2 (p<0.03 and p<0.01). TFH cells activation was elucidated via enlargement of T cell zone and the populations of CD4+CXCR5+, CD4+ICOS+, CD4+PD-1+ cells also increased by Ascl2 expression. Ascl2 upregulates the TFH cell-specific markers and activates TFH cells through chemo-attractive factors such as IL-8, CXCR5, PD-1, IL-21 and Bcl-6. Ascl2 also increased the pro-inflammatory cytokines TNF-α and IL-6. IL-21 and Bcl-6 as well as Ascl2 in peripheral blood mononuclear cells are dramatically increased in SS patient, which confirmed Ascl2 is a potential pathognomonic factor in SS patient.

        2017년 국제기능올림픽 헤어디자인 과제분석: Ladies Hair Style 과제 중심으로

        선진기술과 새로운 세계 산업 흐름을 토대로 우수한 기능 인력을 양성하여 우리 국가 산업의 우수기능을 세계에 널리 알리고자 우리나라는 국제기능올림픽 대회에 참가하면 서 우리나라가 보유한 세계 최고의 기능과 기술을 국제사회에 환원하는 역할을 하고 있다. 국제기능올림픽 대회 종목 중 헤어디자인 직종은 세계트렌드를 반영하여 새로운 디자인, 기술력을 선보이는 장이 되고 있다. 본 연구는 2017 국제기능올림픽 헤어디자인 직종 과제 중 여자부문의 작품을 분석하였다. Ladies Commercial Salon style, Ladies Themed Catwalk Design, Ladies Fashion Long Hair Down and Colour with three wishes, Ladies Long Hair Brida Hairdo with supplied Ornaments,Ladies Fashion Haircut and Colour with three wishes의 다섯 과제를 과제도면과 요구사항에 맞게 제작되었는지 작품별 상위 입상작품을 대상으로 분석하였다. 작품들은 요구사항을 잘 반영하였고, 전반적으로 부풀리고 과장된 형태와 다채로운 컬러를 배제하고 간결한 커트, 자연스러운 웨이브, 부드럽고 안정된 컬러 톤이 반영되었음을 알 수 있었다. 2017년 아부다비 대회에서 치러진 헤어디자인 직종은 과제의 경향이 이전과 달리 실제 살롱에서 바로 시술이 가능한 커머셜한 디자인이었다. 또한 실제 모델을 통해 과제 수행이 이루어 졌으며, 마네킨을 실제 손님처럼 대해 작품 수행이 이루어지도록 한 점에서 향 후 개최될 대회의 과제도 계속 커머셜한 스타일을 요구할 것으로 보여 지며 실제 산업현장에서 사용할 수 있는 디자인 개발을 요구할 것으로 예상된다. 본 연구자는 대회준비를 위한 자료 수집을 직접 하였으며 2017 아부다비 대회에 참관하여 연구를 진행하였으며, 이 연구를 통해 대회에 대한 실질적인 자료를 제공하고 차기 대회 준비에 있어 도움이 되기 바라며 과제 수행에 선보인 작품 디자인이 향후 살롱 디자인 개발에 영향을 주길 바란다. Based on advanced skills and new trends in world hair industry, our country is attending World Skills Competition with skilled workforce to promote its excellent skills all over the world and plays a pivot role to return world best skills that we possess to the international society. Hairdressing category among World Skills Competition is becoming the place where it shows new design and skills that reflects world trends. This research analyzed works for female modules among hairdressing of 2017 World Skills Competition. Five test projects - Ladies Commercial Salon Style, Ladies Themed Catwalk Design, Ladies Fashion Long Hair Down and Colour with Three Wishes, Ladies Long Hair Bridal Hairdo with Supplied Ornaments, Ladies Fashion Haircut and Colour with Three Wishes - were analyzed to verify whether the final works, specifically focused on prize winners, did meet drawings and requirements. The final works did meet the requirements well and in general, simple cut, natural wave, smooth and stable colouring were reflected well other than exaggerated styles and various colors. Hairdressing competition held in 2017 Abu Dhabi required commercial design that could applied to salons right away, which is totally different from previous competitions. In addition, task projects were done through live models and mannequins were treated like real persons. In that regard, it seems that future competitions will require commercial style and design development that could be used in hairdressing industry is strongly expected. I myself collected all the resources for the preparation of competition, attended 2017 Abu Dhabi competition, and conducted research over there. Hopefully, this research contributes to provide practical resources for competition preparation and design that was seen to finish task projects might affect to develop future salon design.
