        기저질환이 없는 사람에서 발생한 Campylobacter fetus에 의한 재발성 심내막염 1예

        C. fetus 심내막염은 드물게 발생하는 질환으로 주로 면역능이 저하된 환자에서 발병하고 대동맥판을 침범하는 경우가 많으며 적절한 치료가 되지 않을 경우 치사율이 높다. 저자들은 기저질환이 없던 69세 남자에서 C. fetus 심내막염을 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. 환자는 발열로 내원하여 시행한 혈액배양 검사상 C. fetus가 동정되었고 경식도 초음파 검사상 삼첨판에 증식증이 발견되어 심내막염 진단하에 ceftriaxone에 이어 meropenem으로 총 4주간 항생제를 투여받고 호전되었다가 한달 후 다시 재발하였고 판막부전 소견 진행하여 삼첨판 치환술을 시행받고 전신상태 호전되어 퇴원하였다. Campylobacter fetus is a rare cause of endocarditis. To date, only about 30 cases of C. fetus endocarditis have been reported mainly in the elderly with chronic underlying illnesses. Most cases showed tendency to involve aortic valve. This report describes a case of native tricuspid valve infective endocarditis in a 69-year-old man without any underlying disease. Despite adequate antibiotic therapy for 4-weeks, endocarditis recurred and leading to surgical valve replacement.

        가스크로마토그래피-이온트랩질량분석법을 이용한 하수슬러지 중 다핵방향족탄화수소(PAHs) 함량 분석

        The polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) content in sewage sludge was determined by gas chromatography linked to ion trap mass spectrometry(GC/ITMS) with five deuterated PAHs as internal standards. The minimum detection limit was from 1.66 to 7.14 pg for individual PAH by GC/ITMS. For determining total PAHs(ΣPAH) in sewage sludge 84 samples from 74 waste water treatment plants in whole country were analyzed. The average content of ΣPAH for whole samples was 3,289±3,098 ㎍/kg, and ranged from 142 to maximum 20,102 ㎍/kg. According to the number of population of the city, the areas were classified as five regions, ie. big, large, middle, small, and rural area in which the waste water treated plants were grown. The contents of PAHs were 4,689±5,503, 5,839±6,401, 3,725±2,053, 2,237±2,069, and 2,475±1,489 ㎍/kg, in big, large, middle, small, and rural area, respectively.

        情報社會를 대비한 情報專門家 養成을 위한 産學協同 및 敎育課程 開發에 관한 연구

        New curriculum for information and library science is proposed on the notion of the internship and scholarly characteristics. The future of the information and library science is expected as the discipline to synthesize the natural science and the social science. Especially the internship is strongly suggested as the post graduate program. To draw the conclusion, the history of the information and library science and its educational background are analyzed. The states of the historical developments of the information and library science are explained in terms of philosophy. The functional and scholarly environments of the information and library science are also investigated. Secondarily it concludes that the curriculum development for information and library science is not aimed on the skills but on the phenomena

      • 주사용 세팔로스포린 항생제 YH-1226의 항균스펙트럼 분석 : YH-1226과 cefpirome, cefmenoxime, ciprofloxacin의 시험관내 항균효과 비교

        Background and methods The in vitro activity of YE-1226, a newly developed parentral cephalosporin was compared to those of cefpirome, cefmenoxime, and ciprofloxacin against 223 clinical isolates by measuring minimal inhibitory concentration. Results . YH-1226 and cefpirome were all active against E. coli, K. pneumonzae, and C. fieuizdzz. 81% of were susceptible to cefmenoxime, 75% to ciprofloxacin. For Enterobacter cloacae 95% were susceptible to YH-1226, 83%, 65%, and 85% were susceptible to cefpiiome. cefmenoxime, and ciprofloxacin. For P. aeruginosa, 68%, 58%, 48%, and 65% were susceptible to YH- 1226, cefpirome, cefmenoxime, and ciprofloxacin, respectively. For S. epidennzdzs, 80% were susceptible to YH-1226, 70%, 60%, and 70% were susceptible to cefpirome, cefmenoxime, and ciprofloxacin. With regard to gram-positive strains except S. epidermidis, 69% were susceptible to YH-1226, 57% to cefpirome, 56% to cefmenoxime, and 50% to ciprofloxacin. Conclusion : The broad antimicrobial activity suggests that YH-1226 may be an alternative in the treatment of bacterial infections.

        본 저자들은 인위적인 인슐린 투여로 인한 인간성 저혈당증 1예에서 보존적인 치료로 의식기능은 회복하였으나, 현저한 인지능력 저하를 하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Factitious hypoglycemia is a covert attempt to lower the blood glucose concentration with insulin or a sulfonylurea agent. This attempt is mainly performed by the patients themselves. In a large series of diabetics who had overdosed on drug, less than 5% had used insulin for suicidal or homicidal purposes. Additionally, 4 of 204 hypoglycemic episodes were due to a suicide attempt with insulin. The onset of insulin action, its peak level, and duration, and the degree of hypoglycemia, are determined by insulin's pharmacokinetics. However, the final outcomes are not associated with the amount of insulin used. The complications related to insulin overdose are cerebral damage and hypokalemia. Other complications include, pulmonary edema attributed to congestive heart failure and hypertensive crisis, as well as respiratory insufficiency. We report this case with a review of the literature.

      • 분말야금법으로 제조된 2124AI 합금의 빠른변형률속도 초소성 거동

        Ceramic whisker or particulate reinforced aluminum based metal matrix composites show high room temperature strength, but their low formability makes it difficult to form into desired shapes. By superplastic deformation, their formability can be improved and it is possible to produce complex parts for automotive aerospace simultaneously instead of many near-net-shape forming operations. This study has been carried out to investigate the high temperature mechanical and superplastic properties in 2124Al alloy. SRC(Strain Rate Change) tests show that the value of n(stress exponent) is around 3 at high strain rate and above 5 at low strain rate. It was turned out that 212Al matrix alloy exhibited reasonably high tensile elongation above 250% with the broad range of temperature and strain rate. Especially, at 550℃, both materials showed very high elongation failure up to 700% for 2124Al alloy. The strength comparison is lower strength then 2124Al composites were obtained that the composite is lower strength than 2124Al alloy at superplastic region.

      • 연직배수공법의 스미어존이 압밀에 미치는 영향에 관한 수치해석

        In this paper, an numerical approach is performed to investigate the effects of smear zone, occurred by penetrating vertical drains, on consolidation behavior of soft clay deposits. Such a numerical analysis is applied to the field condition to confirm its applicability. Parametric numerical analyses is carried out to study influencing factors such as permeability in smear zone, boundary of smear zone and discharge capacity of vertical drains on the consolidation of soil. As results of analyses, for the given conditions of soil, degree of consolidation is getting faster with increase of permeability of vertical drain. Degree of consolidation is delayed with decrease of permeability of smear zone. As the ratio of drain width to smear zone increases, the degree of consolidation decreases. Proposed values of influencing factors by previous researchers is found to be reliable from results of numerical analyses with Cam-clay model.

        The purpose of this study is development of experiment catchment for hydrological monitoring at Urban Watershed. The location of test basin is Dong-Eui University, Gaya Dong, Pusan, Karea. For the collecting of basic hydrologic data of experiment catchment, topography inquiry and survey was conducted, and sub-basins data, such as areas of test basin and impervious layer, were arranged. On the basis of that result, a drainage pattern was drawn up and for the collection of hydrological data such as the rainfall data and the water-level data-EMS installed at Dong-Eui Univ. in 1998, and AWS-DEU(Automatic Water-level Station-Dong-Eui Univ) installed at the point of the end discharge.

      • 한국산 수산물의 방사능 오염도에 관한 연구

        This study was carried out to investigate the of radioactivity of Iodine-131, cesium-134 and cesium-137 with the purpose of preserving the health and sanitation of the public in marine product of Korea. In the contacts of radioactivity of marine products collected from East sea of Korea, 131I was detected only 137Cs contents were at 0.07∼0.63 Bq/Kg range. 134Cs was not detected in all used sample, In products collected from west sea of Korea, 131I was detected at 0.72 Bq/Kg value at only spotted halibut and 137content were at 0.08∼0.29 Bq/Kg range in sample of five Species. In samples collected from south sea of Korea, detecting range of 131I was 0.01∼1.19 Bq/Kg in Glue plant and white shrimp, and 137Cs was detected at 0.14 Bq/Kg in putter and sea cuccmbers respectively. But these nuclides in South sea of Korea were detected at lower rate than that of the other coasts of Korea. From the result of this study, radioactive contents in marine products of Korea. The content of radioactivity in all used samples were naturale ones.
