        중소규모 사업장 근로자의 직무스트레스로 인한 결근, 조퇴 현황과 한국형직무스트레스 하부요인과의 관련성

        목적: 중소규모 사업장 근로자들의 직무 스트레스로 인한 결근, 조퇴의 현황과 한국형 직무 스트레스 하부 요인과의 관련성을 알아보고자 하였다. 방법: 중소규모 사업장 83곳 근로자들에 대해 한국형 직무스트레스요인 평가도구-단축형(KOSS-SF)과 사회 일반적 특성, 직업적 특정 및 직무스트레스로 인한 결근이나 조퇴 경험여부 등을 묻는 구조화된 자가 기입식 설문을 실시하였고, 응답한 4,350명에 대해 최종 분석을 시행하였다. 직무스트레스로 인한 결근, 조퇴와 한국형 직무스트레스 하부 요인들과의 관련성을 확인하기 위하여 로지스틱 회귀분석을 시행 하였다. 결과: 직무 스트레스로 인한 결근, 조퇴를 한 근로자는 남자에서 7%(196명), 여자에서 8%(113명) 로 조사되었고 한국형 직무 스트레스 하부요인과의 관련성에서는 남, 여 모두 직무요구, 관계갈등, 조직체계, 보상부적절, 직장문화 영역의 스트레스가 높은 군에서 통계적으로 의미있게 직무스트레스로 인한 결근, 조퇴율이 증가하였다. 결론: 중소규모 사업장 근로자들의 직무 스트레스로 인한 결근, 조퇴와 한국형 직무 스트레스 하부요인과의 관련성은 남자에서는 조직체계 영역이 가장 높았고, 여자는 직장문화 영역에서 가장 높은 관련성을 보였다. Objective: The aim of this study was to examine the actual conditions of absence and early leave due to job stress of 4,350 workers in 83 small and medium scale industries, and its relationship to job stress factors using Korean Occupational Stress Scale-Short Form (KOSS-SF). Methods: A structured self-reported questionnaire was used to assess each respondent's Sociodemographics, job stress, experience of absence and early leave due to job stress. Seven KOSS-SF domains of job stress were used. We estimated the relation of absence and early leave due to job stress and job stress factors using logistic regression analyses. Results: Absence or early leave due to job stress occurred in 7% of male workers and 8% of female workers. Multiple regression analysis revealed a significantly positive association job stress-related absence/early leave and job demand, interpersonal conflict, organizational system, lack of rewards and occupational climate. Conclusions: Absence and early leave due to job stress is significantly attributed to organizational System and lack of reward for men, and occupational climate and organizational system for women.

        인공 치아우식 발생 모델에서 디지털 방사선 공제술을 이용한 인접면 치아우식증의 진단

        Purpose : The purpose of the experiment was to evaluating the diagnostic ability of dental caries detection using digital subtraction in the artificial caries activity model. Materials and Methods : Digital radiographies of five teeth with 8 proximal surfaces were obtained by CCD sensor (Kodak RVG 6100 using a size #2). The digital radiographic images and subtraction images from artificial proximal caries were examined and interpreted. In this study, we proposed novel caries detection method which could diagnose the dental proximal caries from single digital radiographic image. Results : In artificial caries activity model, the range of lesional depth was 572-1,374 μm and the range of lesional area was 36.95-138.52mm². The lesional depth and the area were significantly increased with demineralization time (p<0.001). Furthermore, the proximal caries detection using digital subtraction radiography showed high detection rate compared to the proximal caries examination using simple digital radiograph. Conclusion : The results demonstrated that the digital subtraction radiography from single radiographic image of artificial caries was highly efficient in the detection of dental caries compared to the data from simple digital radiograph.

      • 쌍정 경계가 고온 초전도체 Y₁Ba₂Cu₃O단결정의 자기적특성에 미치는 영향

        일반적으로 쌍정 경계(twin boundary)는 고온초전도체Y₁Ba₂Cu₃O??? 단결정 내에서 핀 고정점(pinning center)로 작용하여 단결정 시료의 자화에 영향을 미칠 것으로 알려져 왔다. 그러나 이에 대한 체계적인 실험적 연구가 수행되지 않고 있다. 본 실험에서는 Y₁Ba₂Cu₃O??? 단결정 시료를 성장시킨 후, 재 후열처리 과정 중에 단축 가압 방법(uniaxial stress method)을 이용하여 단결정 시료를 detwinning 하였다. 편광효과가 관측된 micro-Raman spectra와 X-ray 회절 패턴으로부터 관측된 (001)면의 주 피크의 2Θ 값을 통해서 단결정이 잘 성장되었음을 확인하였다. 그리고, 반자성 차폐 효과, 마이스너 효과 및 자기이력 측정 결과로부터 detwinning시간이 길어져서 쌍정 경계의 비율이 감소할수록 자화폭이 감소함을 관측하였다. 이로부터 자속 고정(flux pinning)이 줄어듦을 알 수 있었다. 그러므로 쌍정 경계가 고온초전도체 Y₁Ba₂Cu₃O??? 단결정의 핀 고정점으로 작용한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. Generally it is suggested that twin boundaries play the major role of the pinning center in high-Tc superconductor Y₁Ba₂Cu₃???? single crystal and influences the magnetization. However, any systematic experiment related with this expectation has not been performed yet. In this experiment, after growing Y₁Ba₂Cu₃??? single crystals, we detwinned them in oxygen atmosphere using uniaxial stress method while annealing them again. It was verified that single crystals had been grown well from micro-Raman spectra that showed the polarization effect and 2Θ values of (001) plain peaks in X-ray diffraction pattern. We observed that values of magnetization of samples decreased from antimagnetic shield effects, Meissner effect and magnetic hysteresis as detwinning time was increased and this result means that flux pinning decreases. As a result we confirmed that twin boundaries act as a pinning center in high-Tc superconductor Y₁Ba₂Cu₃??? single crystal.

        직무스트레스와 감기와의 관련성

        목적: 국내외를 통해 직무스트레스와 감기 등과 같은 감염질환과의 관련성에 대한 연구는 많지 않으며, 특히 국내에서의 연구는 거의 전무한 실정이다. 이에 직무스트레스와 감기와의 관련성을 확인하고자 한다. 방법: 일개 대학병원의 산업의학과에서 보건관리대행을 이행하고 있는 83개의 사업장, 근로자 6,699명에 대해 한국형직무스트레스-단축형(KOSS-SF) 설문지를 배부하였고 회수된 4,637명의 설문지 중 부적절한 응답과 다른 호흡기와 관련한 폐질환을 앓고 있는 237명을 제외한 최종분석 근로자 4,400명(65.7%)의 설문자료를 근거로 연구를 시행하였다. 결과: 감기 경험과의 단변량분석에서 유의한 차이를 보인 요인들과 일상생활 스트레스를 보정한 후 시행한 직무스트레스와 감기 경험과의 로지스틱 희귀분석 결과 직무 자율성 결여를 제외한 직무스트레스 하부 영역 전반(직무요구, 관계갈등, 직무불안정, 조직체계, 보상부적절, 직장문화)에 걸쳐 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보여주었다. 또한 직무스트레스와 감기 경협 첫수와의 관련성을 확인하기위한 다중회귀분석에서도 비슷한 양상을 보였다. 결론: 직무자율성 결여를 제의한 한국형 직무스트레스 요인 전체가 감기와 관련성을 나타내었다. Objectives: To investigate the relationship between job stress and the common cold which is one of the most common infectious disease. Methods: A KOSS (Korean Occupational Stress Scale)-based questionnaire survey was conducted targeting 6,699 workers, of which 4,637 questionnaires were returned and the data for 237 were excluded due to poor response and having pulmonary disease other than common cold. Consequently, 4,400 (65.7%) returned questionnaires were analyzed. Multiple logistic regression analysis and multiple linear regression, adjusted for daily life stress, confounding variables and both, were used to evaluate the relationship between job stress and the common cold. Results: After adjustment for confounding variables and daily life stress, most of the subscales of job stress contributed to an increased risk of common cold. Conclusions: These results indicated that job stress may play a significant role in increasing the risk of the common cold and that further preventive efforts and studies are needed to reduce job stress and address infectious disease caused by job stress among Korean employees.

        방사선사진의 인덱스-순서 분석을 통한 치아경조직의 탈염화 검출

        Purpose : The purpose of this study was to develop the radiographic technique for detecting the demineralization which is known as indication of dental caries. Materials and Methods : This technique was based on the comparing of multiple radiographs which was irradiated by multiple X-ray spectra. For the meaningful comparing, the multiple radiographs were reconstructed to the dosimetrically consistent images using a standard material. The difference of resulting images of same target with multiple spectra represents the difference of response of material as regards the spectra. Results : We have found about 10% of demineralization of dental hard tissues particularly in the proximal region through the analyzing of differences. Conclusion : Most intriguing thing in this investigation was that the method to analyze difference shows us to an anatomic structure of dental hard tissues even if absolute values of optical density were excluded during the procedures.

        Association between the dopamine transporter gene (DAT1) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder-related traits in healthy adults

        BACKGROUND: The dopamine transporter gene (DAT1) is an established genetic risk factor for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Therefore, we hypothesized that DAT1 may also influence the manifestation of ADHD-related traits in the normal population. METHODS: A quantitative association study was carried out on 1289 healthy adults. ADHD-related traits were measured using the 25-item Wender Utah Rating Scale (WURS-25). This scale is a self-administered instrument intended to retrospectively measure features of childhood ADHD. Previous studies typically identified three component factors: (i) impulsivity, (ii) inattention, and (iii) mood instability. Our group found that these factors were associated with various diagnoses, such as bipolar disorder and major depression. Six polymorphic markers within the DAT1 gene (rs27072, rs11133767, rs429699, rs27048, rs2937639), including the 3&vprime;-untranslated region variable number of tandem repeats, were used as genetic markers. RESULTS: The WURS-25 total score was not associated with any of the markers that we examined. However, the mood instability trait was associated significantly with rs2937639 in male participants (P=0.008); this result was supported by several haplotype-wise findings among the surrounding markers (P=0.00001–0.004). CONCLUSION: Our study results suggest that DAT1 polymorphisms may modulate mood instability traits in the normal population. Considering that mood instability tends to persist through the entire course of ADHD and is highly prevalent in many diseases that are comorbid with ADHD, this trait may be a core endophenotype that defines the role of the DAT1 gene in various psychiatric conditions.

        Bacterial Recognition of Silicon Nanowire Arrays

        <P>Understanding how living cells interact with nanostructures is integral to a better understanding of the fundamental principles of biology and the development of next-generation biomedical/bioenergy devices. Recent studies have demonstrated that mammalian cells can recognize nanoscale topographies and respond to these structures. From this perspective, there is a growing recognition that nanostructures, along with their specific physicochemical properties, can also be used to regulate the responses and motions of bacterial cells. Here, by utilizing a well-defined silicon nanowire array platform and single-cell imaging, we present direct evidence that <I>Shewanella oneidensis</I> MR-1 can recognize nanoscale structures and that their swimming patterns and initial attachment locations are strongly influenced by the presence of nanowires on a surface. Analyses of bacterial trajectories revealed that MR-1 cells exhibited a confined diffusion mode in the presence of nanowires and showed preferential attachment to the nanowires, whereas a superdiffusion mode was observed in the absence of nanowires.       • Precise tip shape transformation of nanopillars for enhanced dry adhesion strength

        <P>We present a simple, yet robust, technique for controlling the tip geometry of nanopillars by utilizing a two-step process of partial photopolymerization of UV-curable polyurethane acrylate (PUA) resin and subsequent tip shape modification. With this technique, head structures of nanopillars were precisely transformed from hemispherical to protruding, mushroom-like tips without any loss in structural integrity of the nanopillars. Nanoscopic and macroscopic adhesion measurements for angled nanopillars with modified tips demonstrated that mushroom-like structures fabricated by our approach could greatly enhance adhesion strengths as compared to unmodified, round head structures.
