        This study was carried out to investigate the papermaking characteristics for New Hanji (Korean Paper) products from paper mulberries. So far the bast fibers of paper mulberry species have been used as raw materials for Hanji. But, in this study, bast fibers, woody parts and whole woods are attempting for being utilize as new raw materials for special Hanji. Anatomical and chemical properties of 3 paper mulberry species and their pulping characteristics were discussed.

      • 화염을 내포하는 영상의 검출에 대한 연구

        화재는 여러 가지 재난들 중에서 가장 흔하다. 따라서 이에 대한 효과적인 대책이 필요하지만, 기존의 연기 검출기를 비롯한 단순한 형태의 센서들은 자주 오작동하는 문제가 있다. 이 문제에 대한 해결책으로 카메라의 영상을 사용하여 화재를 검출하는 방법에 대한 관심이 근래 증대되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 화염을 포함하는 영상을 검출하기 위한 기법이 서술된다. 주어진 영상을 다수의 영역으로 나눈 후, 각 영역의 특성으로부터 화염의 존재 유무를 판정한다. 서술된 기법은 다양한 영상들을 이용하여 그 성능을 평가하였으며, 그 성공률은 약 73%이었다. 이와 같은 결과는 연속 영상에 의한 화재감지에 사용되어 더 높은 성공률로 개선될 수 있을 것이다. detection using camera images. In this paper, a technique to detect images containing flames is described. After segmenting a given image into multiple regions, the existence of flames is determined from the characteristics of each region. The described technique was tested using various images, and we could get about 73% of success rate. This result may be improved by detecting fire in image sequences.

        Peroxiredoxin V, an atypical thioredoxin peroxidase, is widely expressed in mammalian tissues. In addition, Prdx V is localized in mitochondria, peroxisome, cytosol, and nucleus. Prdx V has been reported to protect a wide range of cellular environments as antioxidant enzyme, and its dysfunctions may be implicated in several diseases, such as cancer, inflammation, and neurodegenerative disease. Identification and relative quantification of proteins affected by Prdx V may help identify novel signaling mechanisms that are important for oxidative stress response. However, the role of Prdx V in the modulation of hypoxia‐related cellular response is not studied yet. In order to examine the function of endogenous Prdx V in hypoxic condition in vivo, we generated a transgenic mouse model with Prdx V siRNA expression controlled by U6 promoter. Of many tissues, the knockdown of Prdx V expression was displayed in kidney, lung, and liver, but not spleen and skin. We conducted on the basis of nano‐UPLC‐MSE proteomic study to identify the Prdx V‐affected protein networks in hypoxic kidneys. In this study, we identified protein networks associated with oxidative stress, fatty acid metabolism, and mitochondrial dysfunction. Our results indicated that Prdx V affected to regulation of kidney homeostasis under hypoxia stress.

      • 정수처리 공정에서 철과 망간 잔류 농도에 관한 연구

        This study was to investigate the cause of the color and turbidity in a small-scale water treatment plant using lakes water as water supply source. Water qualities in aqueducts, in depth of the lakes and in each process were measured. And effects of prechlorination on each unit operation in the water treatment, especially on iron and manganese removal, were studied. The concentration of iron and manganese was 0.13, 0.08 mg/L in the surface water and 1.93 and 0.433 mg/L in 15 m depth of the lake. Higher iron concentration of the inlet was measured to 5.35 mg/L which was caused by the steel aqueduct corrosion. The optimun coagulation dosages of Poly Aluminum Chloride(PAC) and Liquid Aluminum Sulfate (LAS) were 17.5 mg/L and 35 mg/L. Pretreatmnet of raw water with CaCOl improved the removal efficiencies of iron and manganes. However, more efficient method for removing iron and manganes was required.

        In this study, two mathematical models are first constructed to analyze vibration characteristics of a gear train - spindle system of an NC lathe gear box. One is a lumped parameter model which is used for calculating natural frequencies of the torsional vibration, the other is a finite element model for analyzing lateral vibration and critical speeds of the spindle system. In addition, this study examines some possible resonance conditions such as gear mesh frequencies, IX shaft rpm frequencies over whole operating speed range, and so on. The results may be helpful to design a machine tool gear box with low noise and vibration.

        The aim of this paper is to form and to operate EQM, to say education quality management. In order to achieve the above stated purpose, the paper hypothesizes that there are similarities between enterprises and colleges in quality management. The basic method of the paper is systematic approach, modifies TQM, which is total quality management. The result is that EQM program must form and operate the feedback system for teaching and learning effect, the PSMT(project, self-study, media, team unit style teaching and learning) as a new teaching and learning method, and the digital system as an advanced mechanism, in education quality management.

        3 차원 데이터획득 뇌 FDG-PET 의 정확도 평가

        Purpose: To assess the quantitative accuracy and the clinical utility of 3D volumetric PET imaging with FDG in brain studies, 24 patients with various neurological disorders were studied. Materials and Methods: Each patient was injected with 370 MBq of 2-[18F]fluoro-2-deoxy-D-glucose. After a 30 min uptake period, the patients were imaged for 30 min in 2 dimensional acquisition (2D) and subsequently for 10 min in 3 dimensional acquisition imaging (3D) using a GE AdvanceTM PET system. The scatter corrected 3D (3D SC) and non scatter-corrected 3D images were compared with 2D images by applying ROIs on gray and white matter, lesion and contralateral normal areas. Measured and calculated attenuation correction methods for emission images were compared to get the maximum advantage of high sensitivity of 3D acquisition. Results: When normalized to the contrast of 2D images, the contrasts of gray to white matter were 0.75±0.13 (3D) and 0.95±0.12 (3D SC). The contrasts of normal area to lesion were 0.83±0.05 (3D) 0.96±0.05 (3D SC). Three nuclear medicine physicians judged 3D SC images to be superior to the 2D with regards to resolution and noise. Regional counts of calculated attenuation correction was not significantly different to that of measured attenuation correction. Conclusion: 3D PET images with the scatter correction in FDG brain studies provide quantitatively and qualitatively similar images to 2D and can be utilized in a routine clinical setting to reduce scanning time and patient motion artifacts.       • 경남지역 근로자의 운동참여실태와 직무 및 생활만족도

        본 연구는 경남지역 근로자들의 기업형태와 직종별 운동참여 실태를 알아보고, 운동 참여별 직무만족도와 생활만족도를 분석한 것이다. 연구 대상은 1998년 경남지역 대기업 및 중·소기업에 근무하는 사무직, 생산직 근로자들을 무선표집 방법(random sampling)을 이용하여 604명을 대상으로 하였으며, 연구목적 및 변인에 적합하게 작성된 질문지를 이용하여 행하여졌다. 연구 분석에 쓰인 통계방법은 카이스퀘어 검정, 변량분석, 사후검정 등이다. 이상의 연구 방법을 통하여 밝혀진 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 연령별 1회 운동시간과 운동참여 기간은 차이가 있었다. 2. 교육 수준별 운동참여 횟수는 차이가 있었다. 3. 근무 연수별 운동 참여 기간은 차이가 있었다. 4. 기업형태와 직종별 운동참여 횟수, 1회 운동시간, 운동참여 기간은 차이가 없었다. 5. 기업형태별 생활 만족도는 차이가 있었고, 직종별 생활 만족도 및 기업형태와 직종별 직무 만족도는 차이가 없었다. 6. 운동참여 횟수, 1회 운동시간, 운동참여 기간별 생활 만족도는 차이가 없었으며, 1회 운동시간, 운동참여 기간별 직무 만족도는 차이가 있었다. 이상의 결론을 종합해 볼 때 지속적인 운동참여에 의하여 근로자들의 직무만족 및 생활만족을 증진시킬 수 있다는 것을 시사하는 것이다.
