Invasive fibrous (Riedel's) thyroiditis is usually insidious in onset with a protracted clinical course. Its etiology is obscure but its occasional acute onset and rapid progression suggest more than one possible cause. St is 'sometimes. associated with similar fibroscierotic processes in other areas (mediast inum, lungs, orbits, retroperitoneal tissues, common bile duct) in the syndrome of so-called multifocai fibrosclerosis. A case of Riedel's struma, involved Lt. lobe of thyroid was experienced at the surgicad department of Korea University Medical College.

기존 아치 철도교의 KTX-이음 주행 안전성 평가

고속철도가 아닌 일반철도를 대상으로 설계된 기존 교량에 새로인 개발된 KTX-이음 열차가 주행하는 경우 주행 열차 및 교량의 주행안전성과 승차감을 평가하였다. 교량의 경간이 긴 경우 공진 발생 우려가 크기 때문에 경간이 긴 75m 강재 아치교를 대상으로 검토하였다. 열차-교량 상호작용 해석을 수행한 결과, 일부 속도에서 교량 연직 가속도가 관련 기준을 초과할 수 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 향후 KTX-이음 열차가 기존 선로를 주행하는 경우, 본 연구에서 검토한 바와 같이 열차-교량 상호작용 해석을 통하여 주행 안전성 및 승차감 이상 유무를 확인할 필요가 있을 것으로 판단된다. This paper presents an evaluation of traffic safety and passengers’ comfort for existing railway bridge when newly developed KTX-EUM train passes on a existing bridge which is not designed for high-speed train. A 75m long span steel arch bridge is chosen because a longer span bridge is more susceptible for resonance. Train-bridge interaction analysis showed that a bridge vertical acceleration can violate the design criterion at certain speed. When a KTX-EUM passes on a existing bridge, it is necessary to evaluate the traffic safety and passengers’ comfort as shown in this paper.

A Study for Spatial Structure and Methods to Landscape Management of Changpyung Traditional Village

To suggesting the means with landscape characteristic in the planning of district unit, we figured out the actual condition and present situation of the space of Hanok concentration area of Changpyung. Changpyungmyeon is a basin, surrounded by Daeduk mountain in the north, Go mountain, a guardian mountain in the east, and Wolbong mountain, a branch of Noryung mountains. Except mountain surrounding Changpyungmyeon, it has the topography of high west and low east, and the flow of topography in the whole targeting area is a flat. The important old houses are Ko Jae-Hwan's house, Ko Young-In's house, Ko Young-Jin's house, Kim Seung- Ja's house, Kim Young-Bong's house, Ko Jae-Ryun's house, Rhy Jin-Kwon's house, Shin Un-Jong's house, Ko In-Seok's house, Ko Jae-Seon's house, Lee Chang-Seon's house, Lee Pyung-Soon's house, Ko Young-Chun's house, and among these old houses, houses large and available for using bases are Ko Jae-Seon's house, Kim Young- Bong's house, Kim Tae-Nyun's house, Ko Jae-Wook's house and Ko Jae-Hwan's house. To realize and develop the traditionality of Hanok village, pastoral traditional Hanok village care, pastoral image care mingled with stone walls, alleys, yards, and trees, and making cultural space in harmony with traditional historical culture should be decided first. Traditional earth and stone walls forming the borderline of Hanok and alleys spreading in the targeting area, kitchen garden and yard space are important elements to stand out the image of Changpyung as traditional Hanok village. In the present, for 140 remaining Hanok within the planned district not to be extinct but to be conserved and utilized, and to conserve and magnify traditional earth and stone walls, some of construction or repairing cost should be supported and incentive system in accordance with Hanok maintenance should be introduced. Also, to stand out the traditional image of Changpyung Hanok village, and to smoothly perform traditional garden creation business utilizing kitchen garden aimed at this plan, cost allocation support system and incentive system should be actively used. In particular, in the present condition where the institutional device related to support for Hanok, traditional walls and traditional garden is not procured, the institutional device such as related ordinance legislation should be prepared for support policy to be performed smoothly.

Stiffness Requirements for Transverse Stiffeners of Rectangular CFT Compression Panels

This paper presents a more rational calculation of the minimum stiffness required for transverse stiffeners of stiffened concrete filled tube (CFT) compression panels. As longitudinal stiffeners are essentially compression members, transverse stiffeners are required to control the effective length. Both the longitudinal stiffener and transverse stiffener subdivide the compression panel in a grid pattern so the relatively thin plate can carry the induced compressive load in the most efficient manner. However, the provisions for the required rigidity of transverse stiffeners in the literature are inconsistent in general and in particular; do not exist in the case of the concrete filled compression panels. Here, the parameters that govern the behavior of the transverse stiffeners are identified theoretically using the column buckling approximation. In order to calibrate and quantify the analytical equations developed, incremental nonlinear analyses were performed on a large number of finite-element models. The numerically collected data were then used to validate the equations developed.

沈陽의 都市空間構造 變遷過程에 대한 計劃史的 考察

This study aims to explore morphological change of Shenyang in the period of Chung Dynasty. Shenyang, constructed as the capital city of Nurhachi, was a complex of traditional Manju culture and Han culture in the perspective of the site, situation and their internal structure such as street system and layout of facilities. Shenyang is divided into four morphological period followed Nurhachi, Hontaichi, Kangxi and Qianlong Emperor. Basically the spatial structure of Shenyang was formed on the basis of 十 street ststem of ShenyangZhongweicheng which was made in the period of Ming dynasty. As time passed, combination of horizontal spatial structure with vertical structure was proceeded on the basis of the street ststem of Shenyang Zhongweicheng. From the view of spatial structure and cultural context, main characteristics, which is derived from the analysis of ancient map of Shenyang, can be summarized into three things, as follows ; transformation of open spatial structure into closed structure, transformation of practical spatial structure into symbolic structure, transformation of natural spatial structure into institutional form of ancient Chinese capital city.

Continuity and Change of Islamic Foreign Policy in Malaysia, 1957-2003

이 글은 말레이시아의 외교정책에서 이슬람의 역할에 대한 연구이다. 1957년 독립 이후 제4대 수상인 마하티르의 은퇴 시기인 2003년까지의 기간을 대상으로 이슬람이 말레이시아 외교정책의 결정과 실행에 미친 영향을 탐구하는 것이 이 글의 주요 목적이다. 보다 구체적으로, 말레이시아 정부가 대외관계의 운용 및 외교정책의 실행을 정당화하기 위하여 이슬람의 교리와 상징을 여하히 동원하는가, 또한 국내정치와의 연계선상에서 말레이시아의 외교정책이 결정되고 실행되는 과정을 리더십 요인 및 국내외 변수와의 관계 속에서 체계적으로 분석하고자 한다. 그를 위하여 연구자는 다음의 세 가지 가설을 설정하였다: (1) 말레이시아의 외교정책은 지속적으로 이슬람 적 요소를 포함하여왔다; (2) 마하티르 체제 하의 이슬람 외교정책은 과거와 다른 패턴 및 방향의 변화를 보여준다; (3) 말레이 무슬림들의 지지를 둘러싼 UMNO와 PAS의 정치적 갈등이 고조됨에 따라 말레이시아 외교정책에서 이슬람의 정향성은 더욱 강화되었다. 무슬림국가로서 말레이 무슬림들의 지지에 정치적 기반을 둔 상황에서 말레이인들의 정체성의 요체인 이슬람은 말레이시아 외교정책에서 주요한 요소가 되고 있으며, 그것이 국내적으로 정권의 정당성 제고 및 국제적인 이슬람사회에서의 신뢰와도 긴밀하게 연결되어 있다는 것이 이 글의 결론이다.

We treated the case with idendify of intraarticular branch of ganglion. We report the case with a review of literature.
