        무선 보행 분석을 위한 블루투스 기반 관성 측정 장치의 활용 타당성 분석

        The purpose of this paper is to review the validation on the application of low frequency IMU(Inertial Measurement Unit) sensors by replacing high frequency motion analysis systems. Using an infrared-based 3D motion analysis system and IMU sensors (22 Hz) simultaneously, the gait cycle and knee flexion angle were measured. And the accuracy of each gait parameter was compared according to the statistical analysis method. The Bland-Altman plot analysis method was used to verify whether proper accuracy can be obtained when extracting gait parameters with low frequency sensors. As a result of the study, the use of the new gait assessment system was able to identify adequate accuracy in the measurement of cadence and stance phase. In addition, if the number of gait cycles is increased and the results of body anthropometric measurements are reflected in the gait analysis algorithm, is expected to improve accuracy in step length, walking speed, and range of motion measurements. The suggested gait assessment system is expected to make gait analysis more convenient. Furthermore, it will provide patients more accurate assessment and customized rehabilitation program through the quantitative data driven results.

        미세유체를 이용한 단분산성 이중 에멀젼 생성 방법

        본 연구에서는 poly(dimethylsiloxane)(PDMS) 기반의 미세유체 시스템을 이용하여 이중 에멀젼을 형성하는 방법을 구현하였다. 반응기 친수성 연속상과 표면 젖음성을 향상시키기 위해 우선 PDMS 표면과 3-(trimethoxysilyl) propyl methacrylate(TPM)간의 졸-젤 반응을 통해 표면에 메타크릴레이트를 유도하였고, 선택적인 영역에 친수성 단량체인 아크릴산과 메타크릴레이트간의 공유결합을 유도하였다. 이를 확인하기 위해 아크릴산과 정전기적 인력 결합을 하는 염료를 통하여 선택적 표면 개질의 성공을 확인하였다. 사용된 유체로는 "spreading coefficient"를 도입 하여 시스템 내에서 이중 에멀젼을 형성하는 조건을 예측하여 물과 0.5% w/w sodium dodecyl sulfate 혼합물, 헥사 데칸 혼합물(hexadecane; 1% w/w Span80)을 선정하였다. 이를 통하여, 코어 및 쉘의 사이즈가 48.5 μm(CV:1.6%), 65.1 μm(CV:1.6%)인 단분산성 이중 에멀젼을 성공적으로 생성하였고, 유체의 유량 제어를 통하여 함입되는 코어 의 개수 조절이 가능함을 보여주었다. This study presents the preparation of double emulsions in a poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS)-based microfluidic device. To improve the wettability of hydrophilic continuous phase onto a hydrophobic PDMS microchannel, the surface was modified with 3-(trimethoxysilyl) propyl methacrylate (TPM) and then sequentially reacted with acrylic acid monomer solution, which produced selective covalent bonding between acrylic acids and methacrylate groups. For the proof of selective surface modification, tolonium chloride solution was used to identify the modified region and we confirmed that the approach was successfully performed. When water containing 0.5% w/ w sodium dodecyl sulfate and 1% w/w Span80 with hexadecane were loaded into the selectively modified microfluidic channels, we can produce stable double emulsion. Based on the spreading coefficients, we predict the morphology of double emulsions. Our proposed method efficiently produces monodisperse double emulsions having 48.5 μm (CV:1.6%) core and 65.1 μm (CV:1.6%) shell. Furthermore, the multiple emulsions having different numbers of core were easily prepared by simple control of flow rates.

        산화철이 첨가된 실리콘 고무 복합체의 전자파 차폐 성능과 열적 특성

        본 연구에서는 제철과정에서 부산물로 발생하는 black ferric oxide(BFO), yellow ferric oxyhydroxide(YFO) 및 red ferric oxide(RFO) 산화철을 충전한 실리콘 고무 복합체의 전자파 차폐 성능 및 열적 특성을 분석하였다. BFO는 자성에 의해 전자파를 흡수할 수 있으며 YFO는 결정구조 사이의 물 분자에 의해 전자파를 흡수할 수 있다. 이는 vector network analyzer(VNA)를 통한 전자파 차폐 성능 분석과 Nichlson-Ross-Wier(NRW) 식으로 계산한 복소유전율, 복소 투자율로 확인하였다. 전자주사현미경과 입도분석기를 통해 산화철 입자의 크기를 확인하였고 열중량 분석기와 X선 회절 분석법, 열전도도 분석을 통해 산화철을 충전한 실리콘 고무 복합체의 열적 특성을 확인하였다. BFO를 충전한 실리콘 고무는 전자파 차폐 성능이 가장 높으며 RFO를 충전한 실리콘 고무는 열전도도와 열적 안정성이 가장 우수하였다. In this study, the electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness and thermal properties of silicone rubber composites filled with various ferric oxides produced as by-products during a steel manufacturing process were analyzed. Black ferric oxide (BFO) can absorb electromagnetic waves by magnetism, and yellow ferric oxyhydroxide (YFO) can absorb electromagnetic waves by water molecules between crystal structures. This was confirmed by electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness (EMI SE) analysis through a vector network analyzer (VNA) and complex permittivity and complex permeability calculated by Nichlson-Ross-Wier (NRW) equation. The size of the iron oxide particles was confirmed through SEM and particle size analyzer, and thermal properties of the silicone rubber composite filled with ferric oxides were confirmed through TGA, XRD, and thermal conductivity analysis. Silicone rubber composite filled with BFO has the highest EMI SE and the composite filled with red ferric oxide (RFO) has the best thermal conductivity and thermal stability.

        Regioselective Surface Modification of PDMS Microfluidic Device for the Generation of Monodisperse Double Emulsions

        This study presents simple method for surface modification of hydrophobic poly(dimethylsiloxane)(PDMS) microchannel using combination of silane coupling and photopolymerization. The method spatially modulates the wettability and can fabricate high contrast spatial patterning of microfluidic device wettability. The physical and chemical characteristics are investigated with contact angle, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), change of meniscus of water fluid, and spatially selective immobilization of fluorescent dyes. We successfully use our method to selectively modify the surface properties in certain areas of assembled microchannel. Furthermore, our approach allows for the generation of highly monodisperse double emulsions and multiple emulsions containing various numbers of inner droplets.

        A Case Study on Living Labs of the Disaster Safety Sector: Police Lab and Firefighting Living Lab

        Recently, Living Labs that are environments for involving users in innovation and development have been introduced and operated in various fields. This study conducted a case analysis of Police Lab and Firefighting Living Lab, representative Living Labs of disaster safety sector. This study examined the stages of Living Labs, such as preparation and exploration of alternatives, implementation, co-creation, evaluation, and dissemination of achievements, establishing an analytic framework centered on the major issues of each stage, including vision, conditions, participants, governors, experiments, management of performance, and sustainability. Thus, this study compared and analyzed Police Lab and Firefighting Living Lab and derived their characteristics and problems to find implications and improvement plans. According to the results of this study, several factors need to be actively considered for the effective operation of Living Labs in the future, including clarifying the roles of participants, enhancing participants' understanding of the Living Labs, reinforcing the role and function of mediators to mediate conflicts between participants such as users and researchers, improving performance indicators and gender management system, and building and operating the Living Lab platform.

        시판 매실음료가 상아질 표면에 미치는 영향

        Objectives: We investigated the effects of commercial plum beverage on the dentin surface that could be exposed to caries, gliopathy, and abrasion to investigate the inhibitory effects of dentin corrosion. Methods: The experimental beverages were Jeju Samdasoo (Group 1, negative control), Coca-Cola (Group 2, positive control), Chorok Maesil (Group 3), and Chorok Maesil with 3% calcium lactate added (Group 4). The specimens were prepared and divided into 4 groups of 12 each. The pH of the experimental beverages was measured using a pH meter, and specimen surface hardness was assessed according to the Vickers hardness number (VHN). The specimens were immersed in the experimental beverage for 1, 3, 5, 10, and 15 minutes. Then, we obtained the average VHN by measuring surface microhardness. Measures of surface microhardness were compared using the paired t-test before and after 15 minutes of immersion in each of the four beverages. Between-group differences in surface microhardness were compared using one-way analysis of variance and the Tukey test after the analysis. Results: After 15 minutes of immersion in the experimental beverages, there was no significant difference in surface microhardness in group 1 (P>0.05). There were significant differences in groups 2, 3, and 4 (P<0.05). The difference in surface microhardness before and after immersion for 15 minutes was highest in group 3 (―18.1±2.55), followed by group 2 (―13.0±3.53) and group 4 (―7.79±4.47). In group 1, the difference was ―1.52±4.30. Moreover, there was a significant difference in each group (P<0.05). After 10 minutes of immersion, surface microhardness tended to rapidly decrease. Conclusions: Patients who regularly ingest a commercially available plum drink with low pH should be provided dietary guidance on the risk of dental erosion. Calcium additives should be considered when producing plum beverage products.

        지방정부 지출의 공간적 상호작용: 지역 행사 및 축제경비 지출의 비교경쟁(Yardstick Competition)

        본 연구는 우리나라 지방자치단체의 행사·축제경비 지출현상을 연구대상으로 하여 지출 결정에 영향을 미치는 지방정부 간 비교경쟁의 존재 여부를 공간계량기법(spatial econometrics)을 이용하여 실증적으로 검증하였다. 추정결과 이웃 지방정부의 행사·축제경비 지출이 해당 지방자치단체의 지출결정에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 비교경쟁에 의한 지방정부 간 공간적 상호작용이 지방자치단체 행사·축제경비 지출결정의 중요한 요인이 되고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 그 밖에 전년도 지출수준과 주민소득, 일반보조금, 자치단체장에 대한 지지율 및 자치단체장의 당선 횟수 등과 같은 재정적, 정치적 요인들이 행사·축제경비지출에 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 지출결정모형에 선행연구들이 간과하고 있는 비교경쟁요인을 고려함으로써 생략된 변수로 인한 추정계수의 편의를 감소시키고 지방정부 간 공간적 상호작용에 대한 이해를 높였다는 점에서 이론적, 정책적 의미를 가진다. 또한 비교경쟁이론의 가정을 충족시키는 적절한 연구대상을 선정하여 분석했다는 점과 선행연구에서 고려하지 못한 내적요인에 대한 연구모형을 우리나라의 지방재정구조에 적합한 지출결정이론에 근거하여 설정했다는 점에서 차별성을 가진다. This study attempts to analyze the impacts of yardstick competition among local jurisdictions on the level of local promotional and festival expenditures, using spatial econometrics techniques. The estimation results reveal that a jurisdiction`s own expenditure level is positively affected by adjacent jurisdictions` expenditure levels. Internal factors, including previous expenditure level as well as political and socioeconomic differentials, are also identified to have statistically significant impacts on the expenditure level. The primary contribution of the paper includes the elimination of omitted variable bias due to yardstick competition and thereby sheds light on the spatial interactions among local jurisdictions. Additionally, in terms of selecting an appropriate research object satisfying the assumptions essential to the yardstick competition theory and proposing a local expenditure determination model to examine the impacts of internal factors, this paper makes additional contributions differentiated from previous research.

        Henry james is one of the gratest novelists and now is clearly recognized as one of the foremost practitioiners of the art of fiction in English. In this thesis the writer attempts to study Henry James as a psychological realist through analyzing his early masterpiece, The Portrait of a Lady. By reading the novel we can see the psychological realist in James in a developing style. He demonstrated that the exploration of the individual consciousness could reveal the reality of the inner life as effectively as many other relists in some novels and tales. In a different was from his predecessors Henry James was quite certain that the only reality lies in the impressions made by life on spectator, and not in any facts of which the spectator is unaware. Realism is therefore merely the obligation that the artist assumes to represent life as he sees it, which may ot be the same as life as it really is. By making the conscious self of the artist, as discovered through his own sensibilities Henry James shifted the grounds of realistic art from the outer to the inner world. In The Portrait of a Lady Henry James seemed to seek for every fine nuance of feeling and he discriminated moods and changes that had not been before apparent. He, as it were, analyzed his characters' feelings and thought in a style whose elaborate delicacy was well adopted to his variations in thought and feeligns. Henry James also felt that a well-written story ought to strike us as experiences in real life do--that is, directly and without explanatory comment and , particularly, with as much of life's complexity adn richness as possible. Consequently ThePortrait of a Lady shows rather than tell and interpret, and it shows all the complicated and various attendant circumstances-espeically not only peoples, places and scenes but also typical human reactions and motivations. In this respect, Henry James was really ahead of his time in his interest in psychology--in why people did as they did, rather than simply in what they did. It is shown that Henry James as a pshchological realist thinks that a novel ought to show, as if dramatically or pictorically, its subject; and that the psychological element is as important a concern for the writer as any other. And so he seems to conclude that the problem for the psychological realist is precisely to catch the trick of the complexion of subject by means of words.
