        온도분포 해석 해와 유한요소법을 이용한 대형 강판의 용접변형 해석

        Welding distortions of large steel structures had mainly been estimated with some simplified formula obtained by lots of experience and numerical analyses for small steel structures. However, the large structures would have different characteristics of distortion with welding because of their own stiffness coming from the size itself. Therefore, in order to find some measures for preventing welding distortion of large structure, it is requite in advance to precisely analysis thermal stress and distortion during welding of the structure. Numerical analysis for larger structure has been known to take large amount of calculation time and have a poor convergency problem during the thermo-elasto-plastic calculation. In this study, a hybrid method is proposed to analysis the thermal stress and distortion of a large steel plate with the finite element analysis by incorporating with temperature distribution of the plate calculated by an analytical solution. The proposed method revealed that the thermo-mechanical analysis for welding of the large structure could be performed with a good convergence and produced precise results with much reduced time consumption.

        자연대류에 의한 열 특성 강화를 위한 차양판 열 제거 형상 최적 설계

        Recently, an increased demand for the development of unmanned systems and surveillance technologies, as well as a rapid increase in demand for high-performance camera sensor, has been observed due to the export and advancement of defense technology. The heat generated by camera sensors is also increasing as a result of camera performance improvement, and the importance of camera can lead to reduces target detection accuracy, misidentification, and camera sensor failure. In this study, an optimal canopy shape inducing the stack effect was designed to enhance the heat removal performance of camera systems installed on naval vessels. Through Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis, a reduction of approximately 2.3C in the component temperature, measured by maximum temperature inside the camera sensor, was confirmed compared to the existing shape. The improvement in cooling performance is derived from the increased flow rated facilitated by natural convection, and it was observed that natural circulation flow rate significantly increases non-linearly as the curvature radius decrease, with a concurrent 43.76% increase in heat transfer rate. In conclusion, the optimization of camera sensor heat removal performance through natural convection, induced by the optimal design of the canopy, was achieved.

        골다공증의 진단과 치료

        Osteoporosis is a skeletal disorder characterized by a compromised bone strength and an increased risk of fracture. Older women with low bone mineral density (BMD) have a higher prevalence of atherosclerotic vascular disease (coronary artery disease, ischemic stroke, or peripheral arterial disease) than older women with normal BMD. Also stroke is frequently followed by extensive bone loss, precipitating the increased fracture risk in survivors. Complications from fractures lead to increased morbidity and mortality. In this paper, the clinical evidence, diagnosis and treatments of osteoporosis will be reviewed.

        공포상황에서 쥐가 나타내는 동결반응의 검출을 위한 이미지 분석 시스템

        Objective:The freezing response in rats has been used widely as an index of fear in threatening or stressfulsituations. Considering its importance in basic studies of affective disorders and in drug testing, it is necessary to develop a reliable, automated system for measuring the freezing response accurately. Methods:We developed the Vision-Based Analysis for Freezing (V-BAFF) system to analyze the freezing response in rats, based on several image-processing modules and motion classification schemes generated from our own experience. We compared the performance of V-BAFF with that of experienced human observers. Results:The level of freezing measured with V-BAFF was highly correlated with that measured by human observers. Conclusion:We demonstrated that V-BAFF could yield a bias-free, accurate, and efficient measurement of freezing in rats. 공포반응의 측정에 가장 널리 이용되는 행동 측정이 쥐에서 나타나는 동결반응이다. 본 연구자들에 의해 개발된 동결반응 측정 시스템(vision-based analysis for freezing, 이하 V-BAFF)의 작동 원리를 설명하고 실제 실험상황에서 얻어진 자료를 분석하였다. 총 6마리의 쥐로부터 공포 조건화 획득, 소거 및 파지 회기에 걸쳐 다양한 수준의 동결반응 측정치를 수집하였다. 성능 비교를 위해 V-BAFF에 의해 분석된 동결반응 점수와 훈련된 인간 관찰자 측정 점수 간의 상관을 측정한 결과 0.98에 근접하는 상관을 얻었다. 인간과 달리 여러 대의 상자에서 얻어진 데이터를 동시에 처리할 수 있고 피곤이 나 실험자 편향 등의 문제점으로부터 자유로울 수 있는 장점들을 고려할 때 향후 V-BAFF와 같은 기화된 측정 시스템이 보편화될 것으로 예상된다.

        Development and Validation of a Semi-Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire to Assess Diets of Korean Type 2 Diabetic Patients

        Background: Our aim was to assess the validity of a semi-quantitative food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) by comparison with the 3-day diet record (DR) in patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods: Eighty five type 2 diabetic patients (aged 33 to 70 years) from the Korean National Diabetes Program (KNDP) completed 3-day DR and FFQ. The FFQ was designed to reflect the eating pattern of Korean type 2 diabetic patients, and was based on the 2003 Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. The FFQ consists of 85 food items and 12 food groups. The validity of FFQ was assessed by comparison with the 3-day DR. Results: The mean age was 49 ± 10 years. Clinical characteristic including body weight, diabetic duration, and HbA1c were not different from the total cohort subjects (n = 1,478). There were no significant differences in the mean intake of protein, fat and calcium estimated by the FFQ and the 3-day DR. Energy and carbohydrate estimated by the FFQ were higher than those estimated by the 3-day DR. The correlation coefficient was highest for energy (r = 0.740; P < 0.00) and lowest for iron (r = 0.269; P < 0.05). The Kappa values for energy, carbohydrate, protein, fat and calcium were 0.54, 0.37, 0.36, 0.46, and 0.19, respectively. Conclusion: The FFQ is a reasonable instrument for assessing the intake of most macronutrients in Korean type 2 diabetes, although careful consideration is required for the food groups and nutrients for which the FFQ had low validity.

        말기신부전 환자에서 조혈 상태 및 칼슘-인-부갑상선 호르몬 상태와 골밀도와의 연관성

        Objectives: Abnormal bone turnover and mineralization is the characteristic of the end-stage renal disease (ESRD)patients receiving dialysis treatment. Reduced bone mineral density (BMD) has been reported in ESRD patients in many recent studies. Recent study has demonstrated hypoxia increases the loss of bone mass whereas the use of erythropoietin (EPO) increases bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell in vitro, which is the commonly found in ESRD patients. The objective of the present study is to analyze the relationship between erythropoiesis and calcium,phosphorus, parathyroid hormone (PTH) status in ESRD patients. Methods: This study was a cross-sectional analysis of 183 ESRD patients (78 males, 105 females) on dialysis with mean age of 52 ± 13 years and mean dialysis duration of 3.4 ± 3.0 years. Duration and dose of EPO administration,hemoglobin, serum ferritin, and iron were checked in all subjects. BMD was evaluated by DXA. Results: Age was negatively, and body weight and c-calcium positively associated with spine and femur neck and total hip BMD. Hemoglobin was positively correlated with femur neck and total hip BMD. Total dose of EPO, iPTH,and alkaline phosphatase had no significant association with BMD. However, according to tertile of serum PTH concentration, BMD were worst in third tertile group. In multivariate linear regression analysis, age, weight, and serum PTH affect BMD. Conclusions: BMD was independently related with age and weight. Hemoglobin correlated positively with femur neck and total hip BMD. However, treatment with EPO had no association with BMD. Increased PTH was related with reduced BMD. [Korean Journal of Bone Metabolism, 18(2): 93-99, 2011] 연구목적: 말기신부전증 환자들은 병태생리학적 특징으로 고인산혈증과 부갑상선기능항진증에 따른 비정상적인 골교체와 무기질화 현상을 보이며 조혈호르몬 (erythropoietin, EPO) 생산 감소로 만성빈혈을 보이게 된다. 일반적으로 투석 환자에서는 골밀도의 감소가 관찰된다. 최근 연구에 의하면 저산소혈증은 골 소실을 증가시키나 조혈호르몬의 사용은 골수기질세포를 증가시킨다는 보고가 있다. 본 연구에서는 투석을 시행하는 말기신부전증 환자의 특징적인 조혈상태 및 칼슘,인, 부갑상선 호르몬 대사 상태와 골밀도와의 연관성을 골밀도에 미치는 임상인자와 같이 분석하고자 하였다. 연구방법: 단면적 연구로 총 183명의 환자 (남자 78명, 여자 105명)에서 시행되었다. 평균연령은 52 ± 13 (23~83세)였으며 평균 투석기간은 3.4 ± 3.0년 (0.5~17년)이다. 이전에 부갑상선절제술을 시행 받거나 비스포스포네이트를 투약 중인 환자는 분석에서 제외하였다. 투석기간, 조혈호르몬의 주당 투여량과 총 투여량, 혈색소, 철, 페리틴, 총철결합능 및 칼슘, 인,부갑상선 호르몬치 등이 조사되었다. 골밀도검사는 이중 에너지 방사선 흡수법으로 Hologic QDR-4500을 이용하여 측정되었다. 결 과: 대퇴부와 요추의 골밀도는 연령과 음의 관계를 체중, 교정 칼슘과는 양의 관계를 보였다. 총 조혈호르몬 사용량은 골밀도와 유의한 상관관계를 보이지 않은 반면 페리틴 수치는 골밀도와 유의한 관계를 보였다. 부갑상선 호르몬과 알칼리 인산분해효소 농도는 골밀도와 상관관계를 보이지 않았다. 그러나 삼분위로 나누어 관찰 시 부갑상선 호르몬의 증가에 따라 골밀도의 감소가 관찰되었다. 다중회귀분석 상 연령, 체중, 부갑상선 호르몬 농도가 골밀도에 영향을 주었다. 결 론: 투석을 시행하는 만성신부전 환자에서 골밀도는 연령, 체중, 교정 칼슘과 연관을 보였으며 혈색소는 대퇴골 경부, 총대퇴부 골밀도와 양의 상관관계를 보였으며 조혈호르몬의 투여량은 골밀도와 연관성을 보이지 않았다. 부갑상선 호르몬 농도를 삼분위로 나누어 관찰 시 부갑상선 호르몬의 증가에 따라 골밀도의 감소가 관찰되었으며 다중 회귀분석 상연령, 체중, 부갑상선 호르몬이 골밀도에 영향을 주었다.
