가미보양환오탕이 뇌허혈모델에서 신경세포보호를 통해 뇌경색억제에 미치는 효과

Objectives : The purpose of the study is to determine the neuroprotective effect of modified Boyanghwano-tang(mBHT), a traditional Korean medicine, on the transient focal cerebral ischemia in rats. Methods : Focal ischemia and reperfusion were induced by middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO) for 90 min, followed by 144 h reperfusion in rats. mBHT(200mg/kg body weight, p.o.) was administrated in rats once a day during reperfusion. At the end of treatment, brain infarction was measured by TTC staining, and histological change was observed by H&E staining. The expressions of Bax, Bcl-2 and cytochrome c in ischemic brains were determined by immunofluorescent analysis. Results : mBHT significantly reduced the cerebral infarct volumes of the MCAO rats. mBHT also attenuated the neuronal cell death and the expressions of pro-apoptotic molecules, bax and cytochrome c in ischemic brains. Further, mBHT significantly increased the survival time of ischemeic rats and the expression of anti-apoptotic molecule, Bcl-2 in ischemic brains. Conclusions : Our results suggest that mBHT is neuroprotective and may prove to be useful adjunct in the treatment of ischemic stroke.

구조활성상관(QSAR)에 의한 피마엽 추출물의 HIV-1 효소억제활성인자 예측

Objectives : For the purpose of developing new anti-HIV agents from natural sources, the extracts of Ricinus communis were tested for their inhibitory effects on essential enzymes reverse transcriptase (RT), protease and alpha-glucosidase. Inhibition activity of major compounds of Ricinus communis were predicted from quantitative structure activity relationships (QSAR) in silico. Methods and Results : In the anti-HIV-1 RT using enzyme-linked oligonucleotide sorbent assay (ELOSA) method, water and methanol extracts (100ug/ml) of Ricinus communis showed strong activity of 94.2% and 82.7%, respectively. In the HIV-1 protease and alpha-glucosidase inhibition assay, neither water nor methanol extracts of Ricinus communis inhibited the activity of the enzyme to cleave any substrates as oligopeptides and oligosaccharides. Conclusions : We found that for these samples it is possible that the inhibition of the RT in vitro is due to the secondary metabolites of Ricinus communis such as ricinine and quercetin. It would beof great interest to identify the compounds which are responsible for this inhibition, since all therapeutically useful agents up to date are RT inhibitors.

기존 논문에서 CCD 카메라를 이용해 3차원 데이터를 획득하는 시스템을 소개했었다. 하지만, 정확도에서는 기존에 개발한 다른 PSD 카메라를 이용한 시스템과 큰 차이를 보이지 않았다. 본 논문에서는 2대의 카메라로 스테레오 기법을 이용하여 3차원 데이터를 획득하는 시스템을 소개하며, 두 카메라의 캘리브레이션에 대해 살펴보며, 3차원 데이터를 획득하는 방법을 소개한다. 3차원 획득의 정확도를 개선하기 위해 여러 가지 방법을 제안과 실험을 했으며, 결과를 통해 상당히 향상되었음을 알 수 있다. 제안된 방법은 왜곡제거, z축 보정 등이며, 각 방법의 비교실험을 통해 얼마나 개선되었는지 살펴본다.
