        The structural and environmental characteristics of typical pig houses in different growth phases were surveyed and analyzed. Based on the data for thirty six selected farms in four provinces, Gyonggi-do, Gangwon-do, Choongnam, and Chonbook, in Central Korea, the goal is to eventually establish standard pig houses of sow and litter, nursery pigs, and growing-finishing pigs. The survey included farm scale, production specialization, structural dimensions of the houses and their ventilation systems, cooling and heating systems, and floor and pit systems related to manure collection. The survey showed 90∼99% of growing-finishing curtain installation rate was lower by 10∼20%. The sidewall curtain system, although popular, is not well insulated which leads to excessive heating costs in winter. Regarding flooring and manure collection system of the house, there was quite a lot variability among provinces, with 30∼80% of the houses installing scraper systems with concrete-slat floors in comparison with 30∼60% using a slurry system. Gangwon-do and Choongbook Chungwoo-goon are the predominant regions that installed a scraper system. A general trend toward enlargement and enclosure of pig houses for all growth phases was gaining popularity in most regions in recent years. A steady shift to three site production from a lumped system was also observed to prevent a disease transfer. The structural design of a standard pig house with its environmental control systems including ventilation and heating/cooling system was suggested for further validation study.         “판도라의 약속”을 통해 본 친 원자력 시각적 PR 프레이밍 전략

        본 연구에서는 과학 쟁점에 있어 시각적 프레이밍 전략에 주목하고 있다. 그간의 프레이밍연구는 주로 뉴스 텍스트를 중심으로 이루어져 왔다고 할 수 있으나 최근 드라마, 영화와 같은시각적 장르의 프레이밍 효과에 대한 관심이 늘어나고 있다(Mulligan & Habel, 2011). 따라서 본 연구에서는 2013 선댄스 영화제 상영작이며 한국수력원자력이 2014년 판권을 계약해홍보용으로 활용하고 있는 영화 “판도라의 약속(Pandora's Promise)” 에 나타난 원자력 이슈담론 분석을 중심으로 PR의 친 원자력 시각적 프레이밍 전략을 조명해보고자 하였다. 결과적으로 친 원자력 입장을 묘사하고 있는 다큐멘터리 영화 “판도라의 약속”에서는 해당이슈의 다양한 쟁점 사안들에 대해서 원자력에 옹호하는 시각적 프레이밍 전략을 활용하고있었다. 특히 본 연구에서는 원자력 관련 4가지 주요 쟁점 사안들인 환경이슈, 에너지고갈을대비한 경제적 자원, 기술과 안전성, 인간 삶의 질 향상 등의 측면에서 시각적 프레이밍 전략을 살펴보았다. 본 연구에서는 친원자력 에너지 담론을 통하여 영화 “판도라의 약속” 은 할라한의 주요 5가지 프레이밍(상황, 속성, 선택, 행동, 책임) 전략을 시각적 이미지와 함께 활용하고 있었다.         지역신문 현황에 대한 전문가 인식을바탕으로 한 전략적 PR 방안 모색 : 경영구조개선, 니치(niche)마켓, 지역특화콘텐츠, 타깃세분화를 중심으로

        본 연구는 전문가들의 인식과 제안을 바탕으로 지역신문의 구체적인 문제점을 파악하고이를 개선시킬 수 있는 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 특히 디지털 미디어 환경의 첨예한 경쟁 상황에서, 본 연구는 지역미디어가 생존할 수 있는 신문사 자체의 경영 개선 방안과 함께, 특화된 니치마켓(niche market) 발굴, 콘텐츠 개발, 타깃세분화를 통한 커뮤니케이션 프로그램에 대한 제안을 통하여 지역신문 활성화 방안을 마련하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 특히 본 연구는 전국의 지역신문시장을 부산/울산/경남(부울경), 대구/경북(대경), 대전/충청(대충), 광주/전라(광전)의 4개 권역별로 나누어 구체적인 지역별 특성 파악을바탕으로 실질적인 가이드라인을 제공하고자 한다. This study aims to analyze severe problems in the present condition of the local newspaper industry and find ways of improving the condition. The current study suggests the strategic communication plan of vitalizing local newspaper market that includes programs of finding special niche market, developing local contents, and segmenting targets. Data gleaned from interviewing local newspaper industry experts of Busan/Ulsan/Gyeungnam, Daegu/Gyengbuk, Gwangju/Jeonnam, and Daejeon/Chungcheng provided practical guidelines for improving local newspaper industry.

Especially the current study focussed on pro-nuclear visual framing strategies appeared on the film. The present study conducted content analysis of 7 news stories to find out major issues in the debate of nuclear power regarding “Pandora’s Promise”. And in the flowing analysis of film, 5 public relations framing strategies identified by Hallahan (1999) were using visually in the film of “Pandora’s Promise”.       • 이화학적 환경변수가 제지슬러지케이크의 조기부숙에 미치는 영향

        The paper manufactories in Sangpyeong Industrial Estates, Chinju, produce more than 80 tons of paper-mill sludge cakes every day, which costs about 840 million won for dump per year. Since the paper-mill sludge is biodegradable, the sludge can he utilized as an organic fertilizer if it is properly decomposed. This may lead to not only dramatic cut of the treatment cost but prevention from secondary environmental contamination due to dump. The primary objective of the study was to explore the quantitative range of major enviromental parameters influencing early composting of paper-mill cakes, naturally pretreated in warn and cold weather. The automatically-controlled reactor was designed, manufactured, and operated for nine days to decompose about 2201 of raw sludge cakes. Four tests(Test 1-Test 4) were implemented for the study of Phase I. Treatments of two levels of initial temperature (40˚C and 28˚C) and two levels of water content + C/N ratio (35% + 40 and 63% + 80) were made to test the significance of their parameters for decomposition of raw sludge cakes pretreated in warm weather. Another four tests (Test 5- Test 8) were implemented for the study of Phase II. Treatments of initial temperature and water content(W/C) + C/N ratio of raw sludge pretreated in cold weather were made to 16˚C and 13% +58 for Test 5, 6˚C and 53% +55 for Test 6, 7˚C and 36% +81 for Test 7, 31˚C and 30% +81 for Test 8. Natural weater condition(pretreatment condition) revealed the importance m composting of the paper-mill sludge cakes. Combination of water content adjustment to about 30% with C/N ratio amendment of about 20 and initial temperature of 30~40˚C was concluded to be the best for early composting of paper-mill sludge cakes with aeration rate and pH fixed. Temperature and C/N ratio were adapted as judging variables for composting degree. In addition, tests for microbial activity were performed to validate the experimental results. Since the temperature and C/N ratio did not coincide in some tests as judging variables for the maturity of the composting sludges, taking one of these parameters could mislead the concept of the maturity (composting conceptually new criterion to provide more reliable information for early composting of paper-mill sludge cakes.

        구릉지에 (丘陵地) 밀집한 소규모 낙농가의 축산폐수가 지천의 수질환경에 미치는 영향

        Galchi reservoir situated in Daeami is believed to be polluted mainly by livestock production wastewater, which has been discharged from more than 12 small-scale dairy farms and eventually drains into the reservoir. Averaged field data of organic pollutants, nutrient salts and bacterial density taken at six sample sites were analyzed along downstream to explore the impact of wastewtaer on the pollution of water stream in a Daeami hilly region during August-November, 1996 (6 trials). The peak loading rates of pollutants (BOD_5, COD_(cr), and SS) of 95.1㎎/ℓ, 180.0㎎/ℓ and 40.0㎎/ℓ respectively, were observed at the spot where the main stream received wastewater effluent from dairy farms (sample site 3). The pollutant concentrations were 10∼40 times Beater than those at sample site 2, immediately upstream of this tributary. Higher concentrations of ammonium nitrogen (NH₄^+-N), nitrate nitrogen (NO₃^--N), and phosphate-phosphorus (PO₄^(3-)-P) of 20.37㎎/ℓ, 0.82㎎/ℓ and 0.59㎎/ℓ, respectively, were also observed at sample site 3. The concentrations of nutrient salts were 3∼4 times Beater than those at the site 2. The primary cause of the sudden increase of the organic pollutants and nutrient salts can be attributed to the intrusion of untreated livestock production wastewater into the main stream, which is eventually believed to pollute the Galchi reservoir. The correlation of indicating bacteria (total coliform group, fecal coliform group, fecal steptococcus) and organic matters (BOD_5, COD_(cr)) were investigated to determine the effects of oragnic pollutants on the microbial matrix in the stream. Good correlations existed between the organic pollutants, BOD_5, COD_(cr) and T-N and microbes(TC, FC, and FS)(R²∼=0.5∼0.75). There was a fair correlation of T-P with microbes (R²∼=0.45∼0.55). A similar result can be drawn from the correlations of nutrient salts, NH₄^+-N, NO₃^--N, and PO₄^(3-)-P and the microbes. The sedimentation of SS with downstream flow may lead to comparatively lower correlation than that of COD_(cr) and NH₄^+-N. The ratio of FC/FS (fecal coliform/fecal streptococcus), referred to as an indicator of the presence of dairy manure in water, was 1.3 at the sample site 3, which was a bit higher than the threshhold value of 0.7 suggested by Clausen et al. (1977). The inclusion of some domestic sewage with the livestock production wastewater effluent at sample site 3 may raise the ratio, which is still well below the municipal sewage value of 4.0. The FC/FS ratio strongly suggests that livestock production wastewaster is the source of pollutants in the main stream. Appropriate treatment of dairy manure is necessary to restore the functions of the Galchi reservoir for fishing, boating, and irrigation of paddy field.
