Modern warfare, which adopt an intensive technique of applied sciences, is difficult to predict, and has a high complexity. Thus, it is necessary to build a battle-field environment and simulation-based analysis. Various organizations are participated to build battlefield model for defense M&S according to a scale and format. On the basis of this trend, approaching from various systems is needed to reconfigure battlefield modeling for distributed system. This paper proposes building design for battlefield simulation environment with a sample of one-to-one single unit engagement model. The proposed method can expect to utilize an example of distributed environment for various participants that are involved in battlefield modeling and simulation.

In this article, the authors reviewed the characteristics of professional voice users and described the evaluation methods, treatment option and managements in professional voice users.

Background and Objectives: Recurrent laryngeal nerve (RLN) damage commonly occurs from a thyroid surgery and causes communication impairment, aspiration and dysphagia. The purpose of this study is to develop a polycaprolactone (PCL) nerve guide conduit (NGC) coated with conductive materials for facilitating regeneration from the RLN defects and to evaluate the usefulness of the PCL NGC coated with conductive materials in a rabbit model. Materials and Methods: The PCL NGCs coated with conductive materials were fabricated for this study. The types of conductive materials were single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) and poly (3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene): polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT:PSS) which were coated on the PCL NGCs by layer-by-layer (LBL) assembly techniques. An 8-mm segment of left RLN was resected in 24 New Zealand white rabbits. Three different NGCs (PCL and PCL with two conductive materials) were interposed between both stumps and fixed with suture. For the assessment of functional regeneration, the vocal cord mobility was observed using endoscopic system after RLN stimulation, and the motion change was analyzed. The atrophies of thyroarytenoid muscle and nerve growth were evaluated by Hematoxylin-Eosin (H-E) and toluidine blue (T-B) staining, respectively. Immunohistochemical study using anti-neurofilament, S-100 staining was further performed to evaluate the nerve regeneration. Results: In endoscopic evaluation, the group with conductive PCL NGCs showed an improved tendency of vocal cord mobility compared to that of the other group. Nerve growth was observed with the time for 8 weeks in all groups and immunohistochemical staining revealed the expression of neurofilament and S-100 in regenerated nerve in all groups. The atrophies of thyroarytenoid muscle in the group with conductive PCL NGCs was also shown to be decreased compared to that of the nonconductive PCL NGC group. Conclusion: The study shows that PCL NGC coated with conductive materials appears to be a good alternative option for the repair and regeneration of RNL damages.

방사성요오드 치료 후 생긴 타액선염에 대한 타액선내시경술의 유용성

Background and Objectives: Ablation of the thyroid remnants using radioiodine (RI) after surgical removal of differentiated thyroid cancer could induce radiation-related salivary gland dysfunction. The purpose of this study is to review our experience with therapeutic sialendoscopy for RI-induced sialadenitis. Materials and Methods: We reviewed medical charts of all patients with RI-induced sialadenitis treated with sialendoscopy retrospectively. The study included 14 patients who underwent sialendoscopy for the treatment of RI-induced sialadenitis after failing conservative management. Results: 14 patients (11 women, 3 men) with a mean age of 43.8 years (range, 26-60) underwent interventional sialendoscopy for the treatment of RI-induced sialadenitis that is unresponsive to conservative management. Symptoms arising from the parotid gland were seen in 12(86%) of patients, whereas symptoms arising from the submandibular gland were seen in 2 (14%). 7 patients (50%) presented symptoms in bilateral parotid or submandibular glands. The mean dose of RI was 203.2 mCi (range, 150-500) received as a single dose. The mean duration from RI ablation therapy to sialendoscopy was 11.1 months (range, 0.5-29). Sialendoscopy was possible in all patients. Ductal stenosis and mucus plugs and debris were the most common types of ductal pathology. Sialendoscopy improved the symptoms in 79% (11/14)of patients, with no serious complications reported in mean follow up of 4 months (range, 1-12). Conclusion:Therapeutic interventional sialendoscopy appears to provide symptom improvement in most patients. Sialendoscopy is effective tool for improving symptoms due to RI-induced sialadenitis in patients who are unresponsive to conservative managements.

장기 불황 해운시장의 회복 시기는?

2013년 해운시장은 선종별로 차이는 있지만 전반적으로 공급과잉 지속, 세계경기 불확실성 증대에 따른 물동량 성장 둔화 등으로 상승세를 기대하기 힘들 전망이다. 해운시장의 본격 회복은 공급과잉이 완화되는 2014년 이후가 될 것으로 예상된다. 따라서 이러한 상황 변화에 대처하기 위해 해운업계는 지속적인 자구 노력과 장기운송계약 물동량 확보를 통한 안정적 수익기반 확충, 환리스크·연료유·선가 변동에 대한 리스크 관리, 선대 운영 합리화 등의 대책이 필요하다. 중앙정부는 해운산업과 조선산업의 불황 극복을 위해 선박금융전문기관 설립과 해운전문인력 양성 지원 그리고 톤세제·국제선박등록제도 등 제도적 지원을 확대해야 한다. 부산시도 선박금융 전문기관 유치, 해운관련 서비스 산업 육성 등을 통해 해운산업의 경쟁력 제고에 적극 나서야 한다.

한국 다문화가정 중국 결혼 이주여성의 문화적응유형과 자아존중감에 대한 연구

본 연구는 한국 다문화가정 중국 결혼 이주여성이 인식하는 문화적응유형에 따른 자아존중감에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 검증하고, 언어적 요인에 따라 자아존중감에 미치는 영향을 연구하는데 목적을 둔다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 결혼 이주여성의 문화적응유형(통합, 동화, 분리)이 자아존중감과 상관관계는 Berry(1997)가 제시한 하위요인 중 동화(assimilation)와 통합(integration)은 자아존중감에 정(+)의 상관을 보는데 자신의 새로운 문화에 대한 편안함을 느끼거나 한국 사람들이나 모국사람들 모두 나를 이해하는데 양쪽 모두를 이해하고 받아들이는 것을 알 수 있다. 둘째, 위계적 다중회귀분석결과 1단계에서 문화적응유형 하위요인 동화, 분리, 통합을 포함하였고, 두 번째 단계에서는 언어요인인 한국어공부 경험 유무, 자녀와 대화 시 사용하는 언어, 자녀 이중언어 교육 도움정도를 포함하여 분석하였다. 셋째, 언어적 요인에서는 모국어인 중국어를 공부했거나 자녀와 대화 시 모국어로 대화할 경우 자아존중감이 높다는 사실을 확인하여 가설H4, H5, H6을 지지하였다. The purpose of this study is to verify the impact on self-esteem according to the type of acculturation perceived by immigrant women from Korean multicultural families and Chinese marriages, and to study the impact of linguistic factors on self-efficacy. First, the acculturation type of married immigrant women is correlated with self-esteem, which shows that they feel comfortable with their new culture or feel comfortable with Korean people. Second, the sub-factors of the acculturation type assimilation, separation, and integration were included, and the language used when communicating with the child, and the degree of help in the child's bilingual education were analyzed. Third, in terms of linguistic factors, it was confirmed that self-esteem was high when students studied Chinese, their native language, or spoke with their children in their native language.
