With the increasing interest in green energy, there is a constant demand for renewable energy and DC power systems. DC systems are known to be an efficient system due to energy loss reduction and efficient control, and safer than AC systems in terms of electric shock. Therefore, research and demonstration projects are being carried out. However, those related to electrical safety and installation regulations are insufficient. As a result, the commercialization of related appliances and equipment is delayed. One of them, the lack of installation regulations for DC-RCDs, whose installation is almost mandatory under the Korea Electric Code(KEC), hinders the expansion of DC buildings and reduces the electrical safety of those who directly use electricity. In order to improve this situation, this paper, based on International Electronical Commission(IEC), analysed the risk of human electric shock due to the occurrence of DC leakage and ground fault, and proposed the minimum specification of DC leakage current protect devices for low-voltage electrical consumers according to the circumstances and to the technology that can be applied to existing equipment.

사띠(念, sati) 개념의 현대적 해석 양상에 대한 재검토

첫째는, 불교학자들에 의해 논의되었던 그잔의 사띠 개념을 재검토하였다. 특히 ①사띠 개념에 대한 번역 문제, ②사띠가 기능하는 심리적 영역에 관한 논의, ③사띠와 여타의 수행과의 관계문제 등을 주로 다루었다. 전체적으로 이 장은 초기불교 수행론에 관련한 필자 자신의 기존 논지를 보강하는 차원에서 기술하였다. 둘째는, 현대 심리치료자들에 의해 이해된 사띠 개념을 정리하는 형식으로 기술했다. 특히 사띠 개념에 대한 조작적 정의와 그것의 적용 양상을 소개하는 데에 역점을 두었다. 이 장은 전체적으로 박성현, 김정호, 권석만, 김제성 등의 논문을 재정리한는 차원에서 기술하였다. 그러나 후반부에는 사띠의 효능을 인지적 차원에 한정해서는 안 된다는 필자 자신의 견해를 덧붙였다. 셋째는, 사마타 → 사띠 → 위빠사나라는 위계를 설정했던 마크 옙스타인의 견해를 소개하는 형식으로 노지를 진해하였다. 이러한 위계는 불교 명사의 특징적 측면들을 이해하는 데에 도움이 되며, 또한 치료적 적용에 있어서도 충분한 활용 가치가 있다고 여겨진다. 한편 이 장의 후반부에는 현대의 심리치료에서 언급하지 않는 ‘계율의 준수 문제’ 및 수행의 국면에 따라 달라지는 ‘사띠 운영의 질적 차이’를 조명하였다. I think Buddhist meditation and psychotherapy should complement each other's weaknesses while highlighting the strengths. Modern psychotherapy based on scientific methodology is expected to offer great help in overcoming the inefficient aspects of traditional meditation. On the other hand, Buddhist meditation which has been practiced for a long period will be able to enhance the endurance of modern therapeutic techniques. And Buddhist literatures accumulated over a long period also will be able to play some role in identifying and resolving the potential problems of psychotherapy programs. Through this essay, I attempted interdisciplinary study of Buddhist meditation and psychotherapy. Especially, I focused on the concept of Sati which has been acknowledged to contributing to the promotion of health, and variously interpretated by many philologists and psychiatrists. In relation to Buddhist philologists, I reviewed critically on their discussions about this concept. But in relation to psychiatrist, I emphasized on making introduction and understanding about their diverse aspects of practical application of sati. I believe these kinds of work are continuously needed to provide a vision for a new integrative meditation program.

After 10 weeks of Intermittent Exercise Change Serum Lipids, Inflammatory and Physical Activity Quantity of Night Shift Workers

[Purpose] Regular exercise or physical activity is an important for improving health and body composition. However, increasing disability is linked to decreasing levels of physical activity and lack of exercise or physical activitymay contribute to an increased risk of obesity which known to negatively affect disease. Thus, most important maintainexercise or physical activity for health. The purpose of this study was to determine changes serum lipids, inflammatoryand physical activity quantity of night shift workers. [Methods] 30 male participants who night shift workers; 15 male areexperimental group and 15 male are control group. The experimental group underwent three time 10-min bouts (30 minutesof day), 3day of week, 10 weeks of intermittent exercise. Measurements comprised serum lipids, inflammatory andphysical activity quantity. [Results] After intermittent exercise, the TC, LDL-C, HLD-C, IL-6, TNF-α and CRP are statisticallysignificant. Physical activity quantity did not change intervention 10 weeks and follow up 4 weeks. Also did notchange physical activity quantity ≥ 3 METs in both groups. [Conclusion] Therefore, these findings suggest that afterintermittent exercise may represent an effective intervention strategy for improving serum lipids, inflammatory and keepthe physical activity ≥ 3 METs, leading to improved quality of life in night shift workers.

Two Cases of Humoral Hypercalcemia of Malignancy in Metastatic Cholangiocarcinoma

Humoral hypercalcemia of malignancy (HHM) is rarely associated with cholangiocarcinoma (CC), and represents dismal prognosis. A 63-year-old male was admitted for evaluation of an intrahepatic mass. He was diagnosed with HHM associated with locally advanced CC. As the tumor responded to the concurrent chemoradiotherapy with capecitabine and cisplatin, serum calcium level was normalized. However,according to the disease progression, he suffered recurrence of HHM and he expired approximately one year after initial diagnosis. A 68-year-old male who presented with abdominal pain was diagnosed with metastatic CC. After the eighth cycle of gemcitabine and cisplatin, progression of the disease was found with HHM. He was treated with the best supportive care, until his demise approximately one month after the diagnosis of HHM. We report on two cases of HHM associated with CC that demonstrate strong correlation between hypercalcemia and disease burden.

한국 선불교와 힐링, 그 가능성에 대한 고찰: 위빠사나 성공사례와 비교를 통해

Ganwha Seon is the meditation which represents Korean Seon Buddhism. This paper deals with the role and the capability which Ganhwa Seon can exert in today's social climate with respect to the fever of Buddhist Healing. Ganhwa Seon has sufficient capacity to remove physical and mental anguishes. And it can be used for the purpose of healing. In this paper, I try to compare Ganwha Seon with vipassana which is the meditation of Theravada Buddhism. Vipassana has already been proven to have an excellent therapeutic effect. And it has also been succeeded in popularizing itself. Ganhwa Seon is based on Vajracchedikāprajñāpāramitāsūtra which can be regarded to directly inherit the teachings of Buddha. At this point, Ganhwa Seon would be superior to vipassana based on Visuddhimagga. For Visuddhimagga has many heterogeneous elements from Buddha's original teachings. But the methods of Ganhwa Seon is cleidoic and non-popular. It could not bring a healing effect until one reaches a certain enlightenment stage. Especially, the inspection system of Ganhwa Seon could look unkind and violent. I think if Ganhwa Seon fails in resolving these problems, it will not be able to fully utilize its own healing capability. Ganhwa Seon needs to refer to the success of vipassana. Vipassana consists of a progressive system. And its practice will bring into effect gradually from time to time. Particularly, the inspection system of vipassana is very detailed and kind. To unleash the power of healing, it is necessary for Ganhwa Seon to selectively accept these success factors of vipassana. 간화선은 한국의 선불교를 대표하는 위치에 있다고 할 수 있다. 본고는 오늘날 한국에서 일고 있는 불교힐링의 열풍과 관련하여 이러한 간화선이 과연 어떤 역할과 역량을 발휘할 수 있는지를 조명한다. 본고는 간화선보다 한발 앞서 대중화에 성공했다고 평가되는 남방불교 위빠사나와의 비교를 시도한다. 이러한 비교는 간화선이 지니는 장점과 단점을 분명히 하고 간화선에 내재된 미래의 가능성을 생각하게 하는 계기가 된다. 본고에 따르면 『금강경』을 소의경전으로 하는 간화선은 붓다의 본래 가르침을 충실히 계승한다고 할 수 있다. 한편 위빠사나는 『청정도론』에 근거해 있는데, 이 문헌에는 여러 이질적인 견해와 관점들이 뒤섞여 있다. 이점에서 간화선은 위빠사나에 앞서는 교리적 순수성과 우월성을 지닌다고 할 수 있다. 그러나 대중화라는 측면에 한정하자면 간화선은 위빠사나의 성공사례를 통해 보완될 필요가 있다. 급진적인 성격을 지니는 간화선은 화두타파의 단계를 넘어선 소수의 수행자들에게만 힐링의 효과를 가져다줄 수 있다. 또한 수행의 진척을 가늠할 수 있는 점검시스템마저 자상하지 않으며 심지어 폭력적인 양상을 보이기도 한다. 반면에 위빠사나는 점진적인 체계로 이루어져 있으며 실천하는 만큼 그때그때 효력을 가져다줄 수 있다. 더욱이 위빠사나는 자상하고 상세한 점검시스템을 갖추고 있다. 이것을 적극 활용하는 위빠사나는 자체적인 교리적 취약성에도 불구하고 붓다의 가르침을 널리 보급하는데 큰 성과를 내고 있으며 오늘날의 힐링 현상을 주도하고 있다. 간화선의 힐링 역량을 최대한 발휘하기 위해서는 위빠사나의 성공요인을 선별적으로 수용할 필요가 있다는 것이 본고의 논지이다.

현행 집시법의 주요 쟁점과 개정 방향

In this study, related to assembly and demonstration culture which isn't fully settled down in our society, through reviewing shift process of the Law on Assembly and Demonstration we examined periodical distinguishing legal-social characteristics from the past to the present, and showing major issues of the present Law on Assembly and Demonstration comparison with examples of foreign country we brought up desirable direction for improvement of the present Law on Assembly and Demonstration . Major issues of the present Law on Assembly and Demonstration which examined in this study are prohibition and restriction of assembly and demonstration(prohibition notice related to public order and competition of assembly place), the so-called ghost assembly and demonstration, assembly and demonstration participator’s mask wearing issue. Additionally, we examined restriction issue of nighttime assembly and demonstration, and policemen’s entrance issue into assembly and demonstration place belongs to those major issues as well. Consequently, the present law on assembly and demonstration should be revised with the direction for solving those legal problems.
