The Study on the Selective Oxidation of H2S over the Mixture Zeolite NaX-WO3 Catalysts

At temperatures lower than 250oC the deactivation of zeolite NaX catalyst occurred in the presence ofwater vapor. The gradual accumulation of water vapor on the surface of catalyst could cause deactivation of catalyst.The zeolite NaX-WO3 catalysts were prepared to study a method preventing deactivation of catalysts from the ad-sorption of water vapor. The zeolite NaX-WO3 (9 : 1) with a low content of WO3 showed the highest conversion ofH2S. It is believed that the addition of WO3 caused either a decrease of the strong adsorption of water vapor on thezeolite NaX or an increase of the reducibility of WO3 by some interactions between zeolite NaX and WO3.

Pulmonary hamartomas are uncommon benign tumors, usually discovered radiologically as a solitary coin lesion in asymptomatic individual. The approach to the patient with a peripheral lung nodule has changed with the increasing acceptance of fine needle aspiration cytology(FNAC) as a rapid, safe, inexpensive, and highly accurate diagnostic tool. However, a few reports describing the FNAC findings of pulmonary hamarioma have appeared in the cytologic literature and the experience of FNAC is limited. We reviewed all 9 cases of pulmonary hamartoma with histologic confirmation after FNAC seen at Asan Medical Center since 1995 to evaluate cytologic findings and to determine the value of FNAC in identifying that lesion. Originally, seven of nine patients were diagnosed as pulmonary hamartoma, while two patients were diagnosed as inflammatory lesion and adenocarcinoma of each. On review, eight of nine patients were considered as diagnostic of pulmonary hamartoma. The diagnostic findings in FNAC of pulmonary hamartoma were the presence of fibrillary myxoid tissue with spindle cells as well as hyaline cartilage.

2003년 본격적 표준화가 된 IEEE 802.11n 표준화는 최대 600Mbps 무선LAN을 이용할 수 있는 차세대 무선LAN 기술이다. 최근 Draft 1.0 표준화가 됨에 따라 통신 및 칩 제조사의 발빠른 상용화 움직임이 일고 있어 많은 이슈가 되고 있다. 본 고에는 IEEE 802.11n의 주요 기술적 특징과 최근 표준화 동향을 살펴보았으며, 이러한 동향에 맞추어 국내 관련 업체의 적절한 대응이 필요할 것이다.

In activated macrophage, large amounts of nitric oxide (NO) are generated by inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), resulting in acute or chronic inflammatory disorders. In Raw 264.7 cells stimulated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) to mimic inflammation, water extracts from the fruit of Chaenomeles sinensis, the root of Polygonum cuspidatum and Boswellia carterii inhibited the LPS-induced NO production in a parallel dose-dependent manner. To investigate the mechanism by which those extracts inhibits NO production, we examined the expression of iNOS and COX-2 in both mRNA and protein levels. We observed a significant change in the iNOS expression between LPS alone and LPS plus those extracts-treated cells. However, water extracts from Chaenomeles sinensis, Polygonum cuspidatum and Boswellia carterii did not inhibit COX-2 expression which was induced by LPS treatment in Raw 264.7 cells. These data suggest that water extracts from Chaenomeles sinensis, Polygonum cuspidatum and Boswellia carterii can modulate anti-inflammatory immune response, which may be in part associated with the regulation of NO synthesis through the regulation of iNOS expression in mouse macrophage cells.

다양한 기능을 가지는 모바일 기기들이 하나로 융합되어 가는 방향으로 기술이 발전함에 따라, 음성 및 오디오 모두에 대해 우수한 음질을 제공하는 부호화 기술에 대한 요구사항이 증대되고 있다. 이와 같은 새로운 부호화 기술에 대한 요구사항에 따라, MPEG에서는 2007년 10월 82차 회의에서 CfP를 시작으로 USAC 표준화를 시작하였고, 2009년 4월 88차 회의에서 WD3까지 완성되었다. MPEG-D USAC 기술은 최신 음성 부호화기인 AMR-WB+와 최신 오디오 부호화기인 HE-AAC V2를 융합한 기술로 입력 신호의 특성에 따라 코어 대역 부호화로 AAC, ACELP, TCX 등 다양한 방법 중 하나를 선택하여 부호화를 수행하고, 고대역 부호화 기술로는 SBR, 스테레오 부호화 기술로는 MPEG-Surround를 이용한다. USAC 기술은 음성과 음악 신호 모두에 대해 모두 우수한 음질을 제공할 수 있으며, 모바일 기기로의 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 다운로드, 디지털 라디오, 모바일 TV 및 오디오 북등에서 응용이 가능하다. As mobile devices become multi-functional, and converge into a single platform, there is a strong need for a codec that is able to provide consistent quality for speech and music content MPEG-D USAC standardization activities started at the 82nd MPEG meeting with a CfP and approved WD3 at the 88th MPEG meeting. MPEG-D USAC is converged technology of AMR-WB+ and HE-AAC V2. Specifically, USAC utilizes three core codecs (AAC ACELP and TCX) for low frequency regions, SBR for high frequency regions and the MPEG Surround tool for stereo information. USAC can provide consistent sound quality for both speech and music content and can be applied to various applications such as multi-media download to mobile device Digital radio Mobile TV and audio books.

The compressor’s efficiency affects on the fuel consumption of the vehicle because the compressors for car air-conditioning system are operated by engine-driven. Especially, the refrigerant is being changed recently from R134a to substitution refrigerant to protect environment pollution that people concerned about. However, that leads to lower efficiency of the car airconditioning system and worse fuel consumption of the vehicle. Thus, this paper is focused on the methods for improvement of the compressor’s efficiency that affects on the fuel consumption of the vehicle by numerical analysis for compressor’s performance and the measurement of cylinder volume and pressure when the compressor is being operated.
