        Solid Electrochemical Method of Measuring Hydrogen Concentration with O2-/H+ Hetero-Ionic Junction

        A novel method for measuring hydrogen concentration is introduced, along with its working principle and a novel detection algorithm. This configuration requires no additional reference compartment for potentiometric electrochemical measurements; therefore, it is the most suitable for measuring dissolved hydrogen in the liquid phase. The sensor’s electromotive force saturates at a certain point, depending on the hydrogen concentration during the heating process of the sensor operation. This dynamic temperature scanning method provides higher sensitivity than the constant temperature measurement method.

        경제여건을 고려한 정부지출의 성장효과 분석

        We study how the effects of government spending on output are asymmetric depending on the state of the economy in Korea from 2000:1Q to 2022:3Q. Specifically, we investigate whether the size of the government spending multipliers is different according to business cycles, the level of interest rates, and fiscal positions employing a smooth-transition VAR model. We find that the size of the multipliers becomes larger during the periods of cyclical downturns, low interest rates, and sound fiscal positions rather than the periods of cyclical expansions, high interest rates, and weak fiscal positions, respectively. These results are generally consistent with theoretical predictions. Also we find that these differences are more evident for total government spending and government consumption. Our results imply that the government should comprehensively consider the state of the economy when it needs to forecast the effects of government spending on output. 이 연구는 2000년 1분기부터 2022년 3분기까지 우리나라 자료를 이용하여 정부지출의 성장효과가 경제여건에 따라 어떻게 달라지는지를 분석하였다. 구체적으로 정부지출의 성장효과에 영향을 미치는 주요 경제여건인 경기국면, 금리수준 및 재정건전성에 따라 정부지출승수가 어떻게 달라지는지를 평활국면전환(smooth-transition) VAR모형을 통해 일관적으로 분석하였다. 분석결과 경기가 침체될수록, 금리수준이 낮을수록, 재정건전성이 양호할수록 정부지출승수가 큰 것으로 추정되어 이론적인 예측과 대체로 부합되는 결과가 나타났으며, 이러한 경향은 정부소비지출보다는 정부투자지출의 경우에 뚜렷한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 정부가 성장위축을 완화하거나 경기부양을 위해 정부지출을 확대하고자 할 때 경제여건을 종합적으로 고려하여 정부지출의 성장효과를 예측하고 판단할 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

      • 유기 발광 다이오드용 쿠마린 잔기를 포함한 새로운 안트라센 유도체

        4-Methyl-7-(10-phenyl-anthracen-9-yl)-chromen-2-one (PhAC), 4-Methyl-7-(10-naphthalen-1-yl-anthracen-9-yl)-chromen-2-one (1-NAC), 4-Methyl-7-(10-naphthalen-2-yl-anthracen-9-yl)-chromen-2-one (2-NAC), and 7-Anthracen-9-yl-4-methyl-chromen-2-one (AC) were synthesized through Suzuki aryl-aryl coupling reaction. Four compounds were used as emitting layer (EMLs) in non-doped OLEDs with the following structures: ITO/2-TNATA (60 nm)/NPB (15 nm)/EMLs (35 nm)/Alq3 (20 nm)/LiF (1 nm)/Al (200 nm). Non-doped devices showed luminescence efficiency of 2.14, 2.07, 1.52, and 1.12 cd/A at a current density of 10 mA/cm2.

      • 초등학교 자연과 분자 단원 학습에서 입자성을 강조한 동적 자료와 정적 자료의 교수 효과 비교

        The purpose of this study was to compare the instructional influence of dynamic model(animation) versus static model(TP : transparency) emphasizing the particulate nature of matter for the learning of the molecule in elementary science classes. Animation resources were consisted of 12 modules emphasizing the particulate nature of matter. Transparency(TP) resources were consisted of molecular-level pictorial presentation and chart explained the course and result of experiment. The subjects were 65 students of the 6th grade of elementary school and were divided into two groups; group I presented with the transparency, group II presented with the computer animation. To investigate the instructional influences of transparencies and animations, student's comprehension of molecular concepts, course achievement, science-related attitudes were administered. After instruction, questionnaires regarding perception of transparencies and animation resources were administered. In order to facilitate the manipulation of the data for the molecular conceptions, the following rating scale was used: Sound understanding=3, Partial understanding with no misconception=2, Partial understanding containing misconception=1, No scientific understanding=0. The results indicated that group II had significantly higher conceptual understanding score than that of group I(p<0.05). And more students in the group II had sound understanding in questions about molecular motion of gas, liquid and the solution of sugar. Course achievement score of group II was higher than that of group I(p<0.05). Especially in the area of molecular motion, group II had significantly higher than that of group I. There were no significant interactions between the treatment and the level of previous achievement. In other words, the animation resources had an effect on conceptual understanding and course achievement for all the students regardless of their previous achievement levels. In attitude toward science instruction, there were no significantly differences between the group I and group II. This result may be related to the novelty of each resources treated in group I and group II acquainted with traditional instruction. In the perception questionnaire, most of students in both two groups exhibited positive attitude toward the computer animation resources and transparency resources.

      • 청색 발광 물질용 쿠마린 잔기를 포함한 새로운 카바졸 유도체

        New carbazole derivatives including coumarin moiety, 7-(3-Carbazol-9-yl-phenyl)-chromen-2-one (C-PCa), 7-(9-Phenyl-9H-carbazol-3-yl)-chromen-2-one (PCa-C), 7-[9-(3-Carbazol-9-yl-phenyl)-9H-carbazol-3-yl]-chromen-2-one (PDCa-C) were synthesized by Suzuki reaction. In film state, maximum UV-Vis absorption of three synthesized compounds appeared in the range 331 to 345 nm. PL spectrum of C-PCa, PCa-C and PDCa-C showed miximum emission wavelength of 449, 467 and 467 nm, respectively. C-PCa showed white emission of current efficiency of 1.16 cd/A, power efficiency of 0.59 lm/W and C.I.E of (0.26, 0.33). PCa-C showed current efficiency of 1.13 cd/A, power efficiency of 0.62 lm/W and C.I.E of (0.19, 0.27). PDCa-C showed the highest current efficiency of 1.34 cd/A, power efficiency of 0.62 lm/W and C.I.E of (0.18, 0.23).

      • 자연에서 얻은 탄력 - 고무

        고무는 자연에서 얻어지며 재생이 가능한 물질이다. 질기고 탄성이 있으며 방수성을 갖는다. 석유화학원료로부터 만들어지는 합성고무는 기름, 오존, 열 등에 대한 저항성을 갖는다. 동남아시아에서 얻을 수 있는 천연고무의 양이 매우 작았던 세계 2차 대전 당시 합성고무는 개발되었다. 세계의 1년 고무소비량은 대략 1억 5천만 톤 정도인데 이 중 약 1/3 이상이 나무로부터 얻어지는 천연고무이다. 본 단원은 고무로 만들어진 제품의 질과 이용에 대하여 조사하고 천연고무와 합성고무를 비교한다.

      • 새로운 카바졸 유도체의 합성과 전기발광 특성연구

        We report here the synthesis and photo-(PL) and electro-luminescenee(EL) properties of several partially conjugated polymers based on carbazole moiety, poly(3, 6-N-2-ethyl hexyl carbazolyl cyanoterephthalidene) (PolyEHCCP), poly(3, 6-N-ethylhexyl carbazolyl vinylene) (PolyEHCV) as emitting conjugated polymer for EL applications. Single layer Poly(EHCCP), Poly(EHCV) devices with ITO anode and aluminum cathode show green PL and green EL with typical diode characteristics. ITO/Poly(EHCV)/Al device shows green EL around λmax=530nm and turn-on voltage at 8V. Poly(EHCCP) device exhibits also green EL around λmax= 510 nm. The current-voltage(I-V) curve of the polymer shows typical rectifying diode characteristics in A1/polymer/ITO device.
