The Cu-based bulk metallic glass (BMG) composite was fabricated by spark plasma sintering (SPS) using of gas-atomized metallic glass powders and ductile brass powders. No defect such as pores and cavities was observed at the interface between the brass powder and the metallic glass matrix, suggesting that the SPS process caused a severe viscous flow of the metallic glass and brass phases in the supercooled liquid region, resulting in a full densification. The BMG composites shows some macroscopic plasticity after yielding, although the levels of strength decreased.

Using Spark Plasma Sintering process (SPS), consolidation behavior of gas atomized $Mg_{97}Zn_1Y_2$ alloys were investigated via examining the microstructure and evaluating the mechanical properties. In the atomized ahoy powders, fine $Mg_{12}YZn$ particles were homogeneously distributed in the ${\alpha}-Mg$ matrix. The phase distribution was maintained even after SPS at 723 K, although $Mg_{24}Y_5$ particles were newly precipitated by consolidating at 748 K. The density of the consolidated bulk Mg-Zn-Y alloy was $1.86g/cm^3$. The ultimate tensile strength (UTS) and elongation were varied with the consolidation temperature.

Bulk metallic glass (BMG) composite was fabricated by consolidation of milled metallic glass composite powders. The metallic glass composite powder was synthesized by a controlled milling process using the Cu-based metallic glass powder blended with 30 vol% Zr-based metallic glass powders. The milled composite powders showed a layered structure with three metallic phases, which is formed as a result of mechanical milling. By spark plasma sintering of milled metallic glass powders in the supercooled liquid region, a fully dense BMG composite was successfully synthesized.

The Cu-based bulk metallic glass (BMG) composites containing Zr-based metallic glass phase have been consolidated by spark plasma sintering using the mixture of Cu-based and Zr-based metallic glass powders in their overlapped supercooled liquid region. The Zr-based metallic glass phases are well distributed homogeneously in the Cu-based metallic glass matrix after consolidation process. The successful consolidation of BMG composites with dual amorphous phases was corresponding to the sound viscous flow of the two kinds of metallic glass powders in their overlapped supercooled liquid region.

The Ni-based bulk metallic glass matrix composites were fabricated by spark plasma sintering of mixture of gas-atomized metallic glass powders and ductile brass powders. The successful consolidation of metallic glass matrix composite was achieved by strong bonding between metallic glass powders due to viscous flow deformation and lower stress of ductile brass powders in the supercooled liquid state during spark plasma sintering. The composite shows some macroscopic plasticity after yielding, which was obtained by introducing a ductile second brass phase in the Ni-based metallic glass matrix.

Recombinant human IFN-α2 was purified from E. coli by methods involving sonication, extraction with 8 M Guanidine-HCI, dilution, CuSO₄ fractionation, copper-chelating column chromatography, S-Sepharose column chromatography. Specific activity of purified IFN-α2 was 1.6 × 10^9 IU/㎎ protein and the degree of purification was 94 fold from the starting material. Purified IFN-α2 was formed a single band on SDS-PAGE under reducing condition and also on non-reducing condition. Its molecular weight was estimated to be 18,000 dalton and the isoelectric point of purified IFN-α2 was 6.0. Purity of the recombinant IFN-α2 was better than 99% by densitometric analysis of SDS-PAGE.

Glutathione S-transferase ρ (EC 2.5.1.18) has been purified to homogeneity from human erythrocytes. A combination of gel filtration, ion exchange and hydroxylapatite chromatographic procedure yields the specific activity of 20.8 units/㎎. The purified enzyme gives a single band corresponding to 24,000 M.W. on a sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The enzyme molecule is characterized to be an acidic protein (pI 4.6) having a dimeric structure with 48,000 M.W. composed of identical size of polypeptide chains. Apparent K_m and V_(max) were determined to be 1.1 mM and 1.0 mmol/1/min for 1-chloro-2,4-dinitro benzene respectively while 0.3 mM and 0.55 mmol/l/min for glutathione. Results obtained from chemical modification studies suggest that essential amino group(s) critically connected to the catalytic function of glutathione S-transferaseρ.
랜덤 포레스트를 이용한 감정인식 결과를 바탕으로 스마트폰 중독군 검출

최근 기술의 발달로 국내에 10명 중 8명은 스마트폰을 사용하고 있다. 또한, 스마트폰을 이용한 다양한 어플리케이션들이 개발되었다. 이로 인해, 스마트폰 중독현상이 사회적인 문제로 대두되고 있다. 특히, 스마트폰 중독은 스스로가 조절하기 어렵고, 자각하기 힘들다. 주로 설문지를 중심으로한 연구들에서, 스마트폰 중독을 진단하기 위해 예를 들면 S-척도와 같은 연구를 수행해왔다. 본 연구에서는 ECG(심전도)와 Eye Gaze 신호를 이용한 검출 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 피험자가 감정 영상을 시청했을 때, 피험자의 ECG 신호와 Eye Gaze 신호를 각각 Shimmer와 스마트아이를 이용하여 측정한다. 더불어, ECG 신호의 S-transform 결과를 특징으로 추출한다. 또한 동공의 직경, 시선과의 거리, 눈 깜빡임으로 구성된 Eye Gaze 신호로부터 12개의 특징을 추출한다. 분류기는 랜덤 포레스트를 이용하여 학습시키고 피험자의 데이터를 이용하여 스마트폰 중독군을 검출한다. 검출한 결과와 실험 전 진행한 S-척도 결과와 비교한 결과 ECG는 87.89%의 정확도, Eye Gaze는 60.25%의 정확도를 보여주는 것을 알 수 있었다. Recently, eight out of ten people have smartphone in Korea. Also, many applications of smartphone have increased. So, smartphone addiction has become a social issue. Especially, many people in smartphone addiction can't control themselves. Sometimes they don't realize that they are smartphone addiction. Many studies, mostly surveys, have been conducted to diagnose smartphone addiction, e.g. S-measure. In this paper, we suggest how to detect smartphone addiction based on ECG and Eye Gaze. We measure the signals of ECG from the Shimmer and the signals of Eye Gaze from the smart eye when the subjects see the emotional video. In addition, we extract features from the S-transform of ECG. Using Eye Gaze signals(pupil diameter, Gaze distance, Eye blinking), we extract 12 features. The classifier is trained using Random Forest. The classifiers detect the smartphone addiction using the ECG and Eye Gaze signals. We compared the detection results with S-measure results that surveyed before test. It showed 87.89% accuracy in ECG and 60.25% accuracy in Eye Gaze.
