        성인한국무용 수강자의 공연참여 결정요인에 관한 연구 : 계획된 행동이론을 중심으로

        People are investing more time and money in hobby activities to keep up with their increasing interest in improving their quality of life. This phenomenon can also be found in the field of dance; consequently, the market for “adult dance” has expanded. With continued participation, adult dance students gain a deeper involvement in dance activities that naturally leads into participation in various competitions, performances, and events. This study aimed to analyze the determinants of participation in performances among students of adult Korean dance by applying the theory of planned behavior. For this purpose, a questionnaire survey was conducted on 312 individuals who had experience with taking Korean dance classes. Statistical analysis was performed on the collected data using SPSS and SmartPLS. The results showed that the attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control of adult Korean dance students had a mediating effect on the path of behavioral intentions, whereas behavioral intention had a mediating effect on the path of behavior. Accordingly, instructors should adopt attitudes and teaching methods that suit the characteristics of the adult dance and duration of enrollment in dance class, to promote participation in dance performances.

        CTX-M-12, PER-1 및 OXA-30 β-Lactamase 생성 Klebsiella pneumoniae의 출현

        Background: The aim of this study was to determine a nation-wide prevalence of Ambler class A and D extended-spectrum -lactamases (ESBL) in Klebsiella pneumoniae isolates in Korea. Methods: During the period of April to May 2005, 189 isolates of K. pneumoniae were collected from 11 Korean hospitals. Antimicrobial susceptibilities to ceftazidime and cefotaxime were tested by the disk diffusion method, and ESBL production was determined by double-disk synergy test. Determinants of ceftazidime or cefotaxime-resistance were transferred to Escherichia coli J53 (azide-resistant) by transconjugation. Genotypes of class A and D ESBL genes were determined by PCR amplification and sequencing. Results: One hundred-sixty isolates of K. pneumoniae showed positive results in double-disk synergy test. The most prevalent ESBL was SHV-12 (n=148). Also detected were genes encoding ESBLs including TEM-52 (n=1), SHV-2a (n=2), CTX-M-3 (n=15), CTX-M-9 (n=6), CTX-M-12 (n=2), CTX-M-14 (n=9), CTX-M-15 (n=1), PER-1 (n=1), GES-5 (n=3), and OXA-30 (n=2) -lactamases. Conclusion: With the emergence of CTX-M-12, PER-1, and OXA-30 -lactamases, the ESBLs in K. pneumoniae isolates are becoming more diverse in Korea.

      • Chequerboard assay를 이용한 항결핵 병합 화학요법의 효과 예측

        Background: To establish the method to evaluate the antimicrobial activity of multidrug regimen, to provide basic resources to establish the reasonable regimen for multidrug treatment strategy and to induce physician to use scientific regimen depending on results from antimicrobial susceptibility test rather than empirical strategy, we performed a chequerboard assay to decide synergy between 2nd-line drugs for multidrug-resistant tuberculosis. Methods: After collection of the isolates showing resistance to rifampin(RFP) and isoniazid(INH), chequerboard assay was performed to decide synergy between 2nd-line drugs. Analysis of results to see which combination of drugs was effective to multidrug resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) isolates. For this purpose, fractional inhibitory concentration (FIC) index was calculated. A value of less than or equal to 0.5 is considered to be synergistic and a value of more than 2 is considered antagonistic. Results: A combination of ofloxacin and prothionamide and a combination of ofloxacin and cycloserine showed a synergy in some MDR-TB isolates (Ofloxacin+prothionamide, FIC index=0.38, 0.50; ofloxacin+cycloserin, FIC index=0.45). Conclusion: Antimicrobial susceptibility test using a chequerboard assay in MDR-TB is expected to be a promising tool for the patients who failed in treating TB with 1st and2nd -line TB drugs however, an additional testing of the combinations in animal models or in actual clinical situations should be first done for warrant.

      • Escherichia coli가 생성하는 CTX-M형 Extended-Spectrum β-lactamase

        Background β-lactam antibiotics have been broadly used to treat gram negative microorganisms, which resulted in the occurrence of antibiotics-resistant microorganisms. Microorganisms mainly achieve resistance to antibiotics by producing β-lactamases that decrease activities of antibiotics. Various types of CTX-M extended-spectrum β-lactamases (ESBLs) have been known since CTX-M-1 and CTX-M-2 ESBLs were reported in 1996. CTX-M-14 β-lactamases were reported in Seoul and Cheju Island of Korea in 2001. Until now, there has been no CTX-M type ESBL report in Korea. So, the research on the identification of the CTX-M type ESBLs and their genetic types using E. coli resistant to or intermediate to cefotaxime were performed. Methods Total of 365 isolates of Escherichia coli from Kosin University Hospital in Busan for a six-month periods were examined. Disk diffusion test for antibiotics susceptibility, double disk synergy test for confirming ESBL, polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for identifying genetic types of CTX-M ESBLs, minimal inhibitory concentration tests of CTX-M ESBLs and isoelectricfocusing (IEF) for measuring the pI of β-lactamase were tested using E. coli resistant or intermediate to cefotaxime. Results Thirty one out of 365 E. coli isolates were resistant to or intermediate to cefotaxime. Fifteen out of 31 E. coil isolates resistant or intermediate to cefotaxime were positive to double disk synergy, 6 isolates of which were positive to PCR by CTX-M-2F and CTX-M-2R primers. MICs of cefotaxime to isolates carrying CTX-M ESBL were as high as ≥128 mg/L. MICs of ceftazidime were relatively low as 2-64 mg/L. Isoelectric point was 8.4 for bla_(CTX-M-3) and 8.6 for bla_(CTX-M-15), respectively. Conclusion CTX-M-3 β-lactamase and CTX-M-15 β-lacatamase found in this study are genetically different from previous types of CTX-M-type ESBLs in Korea. Also newly found CTX-M type ESBLs are expected to cause difficulties in the treatment of infections. So, extensive studies on the prevalence, genetic types, and epidemiology of CTX-M-type ESBLs are needed to refine the infection treatment.
