Panel Causality of Regional Tourism Development and Economic Growth in China

The purpose of this study is to investigate the causality of regional tourism contribution and regional economic growth in China and to suggest policies for governments in allocating the economic resources. This study examined the causal relationship between regional economic growth and regional tourism development in China by employing annual data of 28 provinces in China from 1978 to 2008. A three-step procedures is used: panel unit root tests of Levin, Lin, and Chu (2002) and Im, Pesaran, and Shin (2003), a panel residual cointegration test proposed by Pedroni (1999), and the Granger non-causality test for heterogeneous panel data developed by Dumitrescu and Hurlin (2012). The results of the empirical analyses indicate a unidirectional causality from regional economic growth to regional tourism development in China. Thus, the evidence from this study supports the regional growth-led tourism hypothesis in China, thereby suggesting that regional economic growth increases regional tourism development in China. The findings of this study lead to the suggestion that policymakers invest in regional tourism development to meet economic growth goals because regional economic growth in the Chinese Provinces can be a useful policy to boost regional tourism development. Therefore, sustainable long-term regional economic growth can contribute to the potential of regional tourism development.
가토 두개골 결손부에 이식된 ${\beta}-TCP$의 골치유 과정에서 PRP의 효과에 관한 연구

Purpose : Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is an autologous material with many growth factors, such as BMPs, PDGF, $TGF-{\beta}_1$, $TGF-{\beta}_2$, VEGF, and IGF, facilitating bone healing process. The prominent osteoconductive activity and the biodegradable nature of beta-tricalciumphosphate (${\beta}-TCP$) for bone grafts in animal experiments have been reported. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of PRP on the osteogenesis of ${\beta}-TCP$. Materials & Methods : Two artificial calvarial bone defects were made in 32 rabbits which were divided into 2 groups. In one group of 16 rabbits, autogenous bone / ${\beta}-TCP$ was grafted on each side of cranial bone defect. In the other group of 16 rabbits, mixture of ${\beta}-TCP$ and PRP / PRP alone was grafted on each side of the cranial bone defect. The animals were sacrificed at 2, 4, 8, and 12 weeks after surgery. The specimens were harvested and examined histologically and immunohistochemically by the expression of BMP2/4/7, PDGF, VEGF and $TGF-{\beta}_1$. Results : The mean volume of new bone formation was significantly higher at 4, 8, 12 weeks in autogenous graft than that in ${\beta}-TCP$. The BMP2/4 expression was significantly higher at 4 weeks in autogenous bone graft and at 4 weeks in mixture of ${\beta}-TCP$ and PRP and at 12 weeks in ${\beta}-TCP$. The expression of BMP7, PDGF, VEGF and $TGF-{\beta}_1$ showed no significant difference in autogenous, ${\beta}-TCP$, mixture of ${\beta}-TCP$ and PRP, and PRP alone during grafted bone regeneration. Conclusion : The results showed that PRP had no additional value in promoting healing process of ${\beta}-TCP$ grafts.

Endochondral pseudocyst of the ear is considered to be a benign, asymptomatic condition sen infrequently in clinical practice. It is an intracartilaginous cyst devoid of epithelial lining and filled with a sterile, viscous, straw-colored fluid. It is important to endochondral pseudocyst of his right auricle. To our knowledge, this is the first report in Korea, so we report this case with a review of the literature. (Korean J Otorhinolaryngol-Head Neck Surg 2007 ;50 :713-5)

연성 기판을 기초로 하는 플렉서블 디스플레이 등의 연성 소자에 적용되는 TCO, 투습방지막의 기계적특성을 시험하였다. 실제 사용 환경에서의 기계적 특성을 평가하기 위하여 굽힘시험과 인장시험을 적용하였다. PET기판위에 PE-CVD공정으로 성장된 실리콘 산화물(SiOx) 박막과 그 위에 스퍼터링 공정으로 성장된 투명 전도성 산화물(TCO, Transparent Conducting Oxide) 박막의 시험 결과, 균열 생성 임계 변형량은 TCO 박막에 의해서 결정됨을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 향상된 기계적 특성을 얻기 위해서는 TCO 박막의 특성 제어가 필요하다.
