Background : Osteoporosis and atrophic cell pattern in Pap smear are frequent findings In postmenopausal women due to loss of ovarian function, The present study attempted to find out possible correlation between morphologic characteristics of Pap smear and osteoporosis. Material & methods: The subjects were 825 women(age from 35 to 80) who had undergone Pap smear and bone mineral density(BMD) at The Korea Association of Health Promotion, Seoul Branch, from March 8 to May 10, 2005. Pap smears from 825 women were reviewed and classified either mature cell pattern or atrophic cell pattern by their cytologic patterns, BMD were measured using LUNAR DPX MdIQ(Minster, Ohio, USA). BMD value of lumbar spine(Ll, L2,L3 and L4) were measured from 825 women and BMD value of proximal region off emur(neck NK, Wards triangle WT, and trochanter TR) were measured from 818 women and their bone status were classified as normal( T-sore:>-1.0), osteopenia (T-score: -l~<-2,5) and osteoporosis(T-score: ≤ -2.5). And age distribution of Pap smear, average T-value andfrequency ofsteoporo-sis of each region of the bone, percentage of osteoporosis of each boneregion by age group and changing pattern of percentage of osteopenia and osteoporosis in certain postmenopausal period were compared between mature and atrophic cell pattern. Results: Pap smears revealed total mature cell pattern 53,9%(445/825) and total atrophic cell pattern 46.1%(380/825), Percentage of mature cell pattern decreased from 98.2%(168/171)under 44 age group to 13,3%(17/128) over 65 age group and mature cell pattern increased from 1.8%(3/171) under 44 age group to 86.7%(111/128) oyer 65 age group. Mean T-value of each region of lumbar spine and femur of mature cell pattern were lower than that of atrophic cell pattern about -1,5. And osteoporosis has noted in atrophic cell pattern showing odds ratio Ll 13.9, L2 15.3, L3 12.0, L4 10,4, UK 6.7, WT 10.9 and TR 4.1.Atrophic cell pattern started to increase after 45 years of age and osteoporosis of a trophic cell pattern started after 55 years of age. During 50 to 64 years of age period, L3, L4 and WT revealed parallel increased of osteopenia and osteoporosis and Ll, L2 revealed decreased of osteopenia and increased of osteoporosis. nia Conclusion: Above findings suggest that atrophic cell pattern of Pap smear precedes osteoporosis about 10 years and one of predictor of osteoporosis.

When the autonomous vehicle run on off road such as sandy road, soil and etc, a special attention is required for safety and performance. In this study, a tire test bed is proposed for investigating the dynamic behavior of the tire running on the sandy and soil road. The torque and translational pulling force is established for generating the slip ratio. In addition, the load cell is attached at the guide for measuring the vertical and longitudinal tire force. The dynamic responses of a tire according to several road conditions and driving conditions can be analyzed.

Vehicle must maintain driving performance in various road conditions such as sandy road and off road etc. The interaction analysis between tire and off road is required for autonomous driving technology on off-road. In this study, the interacting analysis between a lug tire and sandy road is carried out. For computer simulation, a new tire modeling is established and tire is composed of beam elements. The contact analysis between beam segments and sandy particles is performed. Simulation results will be compared with experiments later for validation.

Objectives: A great number of people visit forests for their bountiful healing factors. We investigated the quantity of terpene and analyzed the correlations with meteorological and environmental factors at Mt. Mudeung in order to support public health. Methods: The terpene amounts were investigated along 11 main trails using stainless steel tube packed by Tenax TA (150 mg) and Carbopack B (130 mg) during March to November 2012. Terpene amounts of 20 species (${\alpha}$-pinene, camphene, etc.), and meteorological and environmental factors were investigated in the field. Results: Terpene of 16 species was released from the forest and total terpene amounts were 2,080 pptv at the site of Chamaecyparis obtusa, the highest among 11 sites, nearby the first reservoir on Mt. Mudeung. Terpene concentrations in the forest were nine to 23 times higher than found in urban areas. Total terpene amounts had positive correlations with temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide and oxygen (p<0.01) with $R^2$ of 0.345, 0.369, 0.591, 0.145, respectively, from April to July. Wind speed and solar radiation in the forest had a negative correlation with terpene amounts and showed statistical insignificance with p-values of 0.118 and 0.233, respectively. Conclusions: This study suggests that the amounts of terpene around Mt. Mudeung are indeed higher, so visitors may enjoy a therapeutic walk in the forest with a healing effect. These results showed the forest was very effective for improving human health.

In this study, vibration analysis of washing machine dehydration was carried out using laser sensors. The suspension of the washing machine was attached to a jig developed for this study. In addition, 10 laser sensors were attached to the jig. The channels of each laser sensor are composed of five channels: front, rear, left, right, and upper. Data acquisition equipment was used to obtain sensor data. The measured data were processed using signal processing, and interpolation of the data was performed using MATLAB with robust interpolation. Vibration analysis according to unbalanced mass and sensor attachment points was carried out.

The finite element analysis for the tubular alumina liner which was shrink-fitted into a heat treated high speed steel (HSS) sleeve and subjected to high inner pressure and high temperature was performed. The parameters for the analysis were the interference between the alumina and the HSS, the temperature, the inner pressure, the coefficient of friction between the alumina and the HSS, and the taper at the sleeve ends. From the analysis, it was found that the tensile hoop stresses were decreased when the end parts of the HSS sleeve were tapered and the tensile stresses were decreased as the coefficient of friction between the alumina and the HSS was decreased. Also it was found that the alumina might be used as the structural liner for high pressure and high temperature when it was shrink-fitted into a heat treated HSS sleeve.
직접교수(DI) 원리를 적용한 한글읽기프로그램이 읽기부진 다문화 아동의 단어읽기와 읽기유창성에 미치는 효과

본 연구의 목적은 직접교수 원리를 적용한 한글읽기프로그램이 읽기부진 다문화 아동의 단어읽기와 읽기유창성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보는 것이다. 연구 대상은 초등학교 1학년 다문화 가정 아동 3명으로, 한글 미해득 읽기부진 아동들이다. 중재프로그램은 직접교수원리를 적용한 한글읽기프로그램으로, 총 16회기에 걸쳐 적용하였다. 이 프로그램의 핵심 요소는 교사에 의한 명료한 시범, 점진적인 지원감소, 충분하고 다양한 예를 활용한 연습, 자.모음자와 그에 대응하는 소리의 집중적이고 체계적인 학습 등 이었다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 직접교수 원리를 적용한 한글읽기프로그램은 읽기부진 다문화 아동의 단어읽기 능력을 향상시키는 데 긍정적인 역할을 하였다. 둘째, 직접교수 원리를 적용한 한글읽기프로그램은 읽기부진다문화 아동의 읽기유창성 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 읽기부진 다문화 아동들을 대상으로 한 효과적인 읽기 지도 효과의 원인과 시사점, 그리고 다문화 아동에게 있어서의 성공적인 초기 읽기 지도의 중요성을 논의 부분에서 제시하였다. The purpose of this study was to explore the effectiveness of a Direct Instruction Han-Geul Reading Program on word reading and reading fluency of the multicultural students with reading difficulties. The subjects of this study were three first graders of multicultural family in an elementary school who had not learn Han-Geul. The program was administrated for 16 sessions. The key elements of the program were explicit modeling by a teacher, scaffolding, enough practices with various and plenty examples, and systematic and intensive learning on letter-sound correspondence. As a result, the Direct Instruction Han-Geul Reading Program had positive effects on the improvement of word reading and reading fluency. Word reading ability has significantly and gradually improved as the result of the direct instruction based approach. The possible causes, the implications of the study, and the importance of a successful early reading intervention to mulicultural students were discussed.

Four point bending tests of the brazed joint composed of sintered silicon nitride and 0.2% carbon steel with Cusil ABA filler which were fabricated at 86$0^{\circ}C$ were performed at temperatures, 25, 100, 200, 300, 400, 50$0^{\circ}C$ From the experiments, the maximum bending strength was measured at 30$0^{\circ}C$ From the 3D FE analysis of the residual stress of the brazed joint, it was revealed that the thermally induced residual stresses were minimized when the environmental temperature was 35$0^{\circ}C$ Considering the degradation of the filler material at high temperatures, it was calculated that the maximum bending strength of the brazed joint occured just below the temperature of the minimum thermal residual stress and the thermal residual stress was the dominative parameter of the brazed joint.
