Imaging of Gastric Cancer Metabolism Using 18 F-FDG PET/CT

Aerobic glycolysis has been the most important hypothesis in cancer metabolism. It seems to be related to increased bioenergetic and biosynthetic needs in rapidly proliferating cancer cells. To this end, F-18 fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG), a glucose analog, became widely popular for the detection of malignancies combined with positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT). Although the potential roles of FDG PET/CT in primary tumor detection are not fully established, it seems to have a limited sensitivity in detecting early gastric cancer and mainly signet ring or non-solid types of advanced gastric cancer. In evaluating lymph node metastases, the location of lymph nodes and the degree of FDG uptake in primary tumors appear to be important factors affecting the diagnostic accuracy of PET/CT. In spite of the limited sensitivity, the high specificity of PET/CT for lymph node metastases may play an important role in changing the extent of lymphadenectomy or reducing futile laparotomies. For peritoneal metastases, PET/CT seems to have a poorer sensitivity buta better specificity than CT. The roles of PET/CT in the evaluation of other distant metastases are yet to be known. Studies including primary tumors with low FDG uptake or peritoneal recurrence seem suffer from poorer diagnostic performance for the detection of recurrent gastric cancer. There are only a few reports using FDG PET/CT to predict response to neoadjuvant or adjuvant chemotherapy. A complete metabolic response seems to be predictive of more favorable prognosis.

현대는 다양한 멀티미디어들의 등장 뿐만 아니라 이러한 미디어들이 방송, 통신, 인터넷 분야 등에서 융합되어 새로운 정보통신 시대를 맞이하고 있다. 이러한 시점에 등장한 텔레매틱스는 자동차와 이동통신 및 컴퓨터 기술이 결 합되어 매스미디어 및 다양한 개인화된 서비스와 쌍방향 서비스를 제공하는 융합된 커뮤니케이션 매체이다. 본 연구의 목적은 텔레매틱스 이용자의 커뮤니케이션 성향과 텔레매틱스 매 체특성 간의 비교, 분석을 통하여 인간중심의 미디어 발전방향과 향후 다양한 뉴미디어의 세부적인 조사에 밑거름이 되고자 한다. 이를 위해 서울, 경기 거주하는 텔레매틱스 사용자 386명을 대상으로 서베이 를 실시하였고, SPSS 11.5를 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구문제 1은 이용자의 커뮤니케이션 성향과 텔레매틱스의 이용의사와의 관계는 어떠한가 이고, 연구문제 2는 이용자의 커뮤니케이션 성향과 텔레매틱스 의 매체 특성과의 관계는 어떠한가 이다. 본 연구결과 현대인의 성향인 개인 중심성, 동시성, 즉시성 성향은 텔레매틱 스의 매체의 이용의사를 결정하는 유의미한 요인이 되고 있고, 이 중 즉시성 에 대한 선호경향이 가장 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. (그 이유는 즉시성의 개 념이 가장 거시적인 의미이고, 현재 사용자가 쌍방향 커뮤니케이션을 가능하게 해주는 즉시적인 서비스에 가장 만족하고 있는 것으로 나타났기 때문이다. ) 이동하는 나만의 세상을 선호하는 현대인들은 그 성향에 맞는 텔레매틱스 를 통한 커뮤니케이션으로 삶의 질을 높여주는 계기가 될 것이다. Telematics is an amalgamation of the words "Telecommunication" and "Informatics". Telematics services provide various personalized and interactive services. Telematics services include navigation, traffics information and other value added services. This study analyzes users' communication preference and media characteristics of telematics. For doing this, this study conducted a survey of telematics users(n=385) who reside in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. The data were processed using the SPSS 11.5 for analysis. Therefore, this study attempted to address two reseach questions in the follow. First, How does the relationship between users' communication preference and their intention of telematics using? Second, How does the relationship between users' communication preference and media characteristics of telematics? The results of this study can be summarized as follows: Subjectiveness, simultaneousness and immediacy are significant factors for decision making of using telematics, and immediacy of them is the most significant factor. This study will contribute to the research about the new media and the direction for the media development of people oriented in future.

문고본 표지 레이아웃 구성 요소의 적절성에 관한 연구

본 연구는 문고본 표지에 적용된 레이아웃 구성 요소의 적절성에 대한 인식을 알아보고, 문고본 표지의 주목성이 레이아웃 구성 요소 활용의 적절성과 어떠한 관계가 있는지에 대해 살펴보았다. 이에 책의 내용과 표지 레이아웃의 부합성이 높은 4종의 책을 선정하였고, 디자인 전공 대학생 100명을 대상으로 조사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 문고본 표지의 주목성에 대한 인식과 레이아웃 구성 요소들 중 이미지 및 타이포그래피에 대한 적절성 인식의 상관관계가 높게 나타났다. 특히 타이포그래피의 근접성이, 이미지의 연속성이 상관관계가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 문고본 표지 디자인 시 타이포그래피와 이미지의 관심을 높일 수 있는 전략적 디자인에 시각적 인식 원리를 적용하는 것이 효과적임을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 베스트셀러보다 스테디셀러에서 유난히 주목성 정도가 낮게 나타났는데, 주목성을 향상시키기 위해서는 스테디셀러의 재설계 등 새로운 표지 디자인을 통해 책 표지의 관심을 도모하는 방안을 모색할 필요가 있다는 것을 시사한다.

부정청탁금지법이 원가의 하방경직성에 미치는 영향

Cost is the monetary value of resources consumed for business operations. Therefore, cost behavior depends on the business decision about how to allocate resources. While laws and regulations have a significant impact on management's resource allocation decision, this paper examines how the improper solicitation and graft act implemented in 2016 affect cost behavior, specifically sticky cost behavior. Companies having stronger connections with the government enjoy more economic benefits from the government in various ways. For that, companies attempt to have a good relationship with individuals or organizations that are connected to the government. Through such connections, companies expect, for example, to have more government procurement contracts, which consequently helps them to break through challenging business situations. Korean companies had built connections with the government, mainly focusing on providing prerequisite to government officials, politicians, and journalists who are likely to have connections with the government. However, since the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act became effective in 2016, the provision of prerequisites to the individuals mentioned above has been illegal. Thus, after the passage of the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, management is less likely to expect that, in the next period, they can quickly recover from the current demand decline because they cannot expect support from the government. It likely induces companies to quickly remove resources in response to the sales decline, which consequently results in less stickiness of costs. The empirical analysis provides evidence consistent with our prediction: cost stickiness becomes less after the passage of the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act. Even though the Act became effective in 2016, researchers have not paid attention to the impact of this new regulation on the management's resource allocation decision. This study contributes to prior literature of cost behavior, in that it examines the effects of this new regulation, i.e., the improper solicitation and graft act, on the decision-making of corporate resource coordination. 원가는 경영활동을 위해 소비되는 자원의 화폐적 가치이다. 따라서 원가행태는 기업의 자원운영 의사결정에 따라 달라진다. 기업에 적용되는 각종 법규 및 규제는 경영진의 자원운영 의사결정에 큰 영향을 끼치는데, 본 연구는 2016년도에 시행된 부정청탁금지법이 원가행태, 구체적으로 하방경직적 원가행태에 미치는 영향을 살펴본다. 정부와의 연결고리가 강한 기업일수록, 정부로부터 다양한 측면에서 경제적 혜택을 얻을 가능성이 높다. 이에, 기업들은 정부와 연결고리가 있는 개인이나 조직들과 인맥을 형성하기 위해 노력한다. 이러한 연결고리를 통해, 기업들은 경영이 악화되는 상황에서 정부의 도움을 받아 그 상황을 타개할 수 있기를 기대한다. 한국에서 정부와의 연결고리 형성을 위한 대표적인 활동은 접대활동이었다. 하지만, 부정청탁금지법 시행 이후로, 접대를 통한 인맥 형성이 금지되었기에, 정부로부터의 보호를 기대하는 기업들의 심리는 약화되었다. 즉, 경영진들은 부정청탁금지법 시행 이후에, 당기의 수요 감소가 정부의 도움으로 쉽게 회복될 것이라는 기대를 할 수 없게 되었다. 이는 매출 감소시, 재빠른 자원감축 의사결정을 유도하고, 원가의 하방경직성을 완화시킬 가능성이 크다. 2010년도부터 2018년도까지 KIS-VALUE에 재무제표 정보가 수집되어 있는 기업, 즉 외감기업과 금감위등록기업까지 샘플을 확장하여 연구를 수행하였다. 실증분석 결과, 부정청탁금지법 시행 이후에, 기업들의 원가 하방경직성이 완화되었다. 부정청탁금지법이 시행된 수년이 지났지만, 아직 이 규제가 기업이 원가행태에 미치는 연구는 수행되지 않았다. 따라서 본 연구는 새로운 규제, 즉 부정청탁금지법이 기업의 자원조정 의사결정에 미치는 영향을 실증하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
