        리더의 정치적 기술이 직무만족과 조직몰입에 미치는 영향 : 치과병원에서 근무하는 치과위생사를 대상으로

        Objectives: This study aimed to estimate the influences of leader’s political skills (LPS) on job satisfaction and organizational commitment in dental hygienists. Methods: A self-administrated questionnaire was conducted form April 1 to May 31 2020 by 209 dental hygienists in Seoul, Busan and South Gyeongsang. LPS, job satisfaction, organizational commitment were evaluated on the LPS scale, job descriptive index (JDI) and organizational commitment scale, respectively, each on five-point scale. Data were subjected to descriptive analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, pearson correlation and multiple linear regression analysis. Results: The overall LPS, job satisfaction and organizational commitment level of subjects were 3.53±0.63, 3.18±0.51 and 3.27±0.63. The influential factors for LPS, job satisfaction and organizational commitment were Networking ability (subcategory of LPS). Conclusions: Leaders should use the knowledge and activities newly introduced from various networks to fit the dental hospital so that members can display their more professional abilities to increase job satisfaction and organizational commitment.

        Association between Vitamin D Level in Blood and Periodontitis in Korean Elderly

        This study identified an effective control method for periodontitis by investigating the association between blood levels of vitamin D and periodontitis in Korean elderly based on raw data from the fifth Korea National Health & Nutrition Examination Survey of 2010 (KNHANES). In this study, 1,021 adults over 65 years of age were evaluated based on data from the KNHANES. Periodontal disease was assessed using community periodontal index (CPI), with CPI codes ≥3 defined as periodontitis. Blood levels of vitamin D were measured from blood samples and divided into four groups (first quartile: ≤13.23 ng/ml, second quartile: 13.24∼16.95 ng/ml, third quartile: 16.96∼21.58 ng/ml), and fourth quartile >21.59 ng/ml). Using multiple logistic regression analyses, the variables were adjusted for general characteristics, oral health-related characteristics, health-related characteristics, and bone mineral density. The statistical analysis was performed using the SAS (ver. 9.2). The results of this study are as follows: the prevalence of periodontitis was 42.6% in Korean elderly. After adjusting for general, oral health-related, and health-related, the risk of periodontitis in the first quartile group was 1.74 times (95% confidence interval [CI], 1.02∼2.98) higher than that of the fourth quartile group (p=0.041). After adjusting for general, oral health-related, and health-related characteristics as well as bone mineral density, the risk of periodontitis in the first quartile group was 1.73 times (95% CI, 1.02∼2.96) higher than that of the four quartile group (p=0.042). There was a significant relationship between blood vitamin D level and periodontitis in Korean elderly. For the prevention of periodontitis, factors related to vitamin D should be considered along with other risk factors.

        학업중단 청소년 자녀의 학교복귀 선택에 영향을 미치는 자원에 관한 연구 : 가족자원 등을 중심으로

        This study was conducted to examine the resources that influence the choice of drop-out students' reentry to school. A total of five years of panel analysis of 2,553 drop-out teenagers from 2013 to 2017 were utilized. In order to verify the resources that affect the choice of school reentry of teenagers with experiences of suspension of studies to formal middle and high school after July 2012, this study analyzed drop-out teenagers' family resources as well as their psychological, mental, and social-relationship resources. A crossover analysis, t-test, and hierarchical logistic regression analysis were conducted. The major outcomes of this study are as follows: First, the socio-demographic variables among the resources that affected the choice of reentry for school of teenager children were the type of family and number of moves to a new house. Second, the psychological and sentimental variable that affected the choice of school reentry was a decreasing level of positive recognition of the situation of suspension of studies combined with depression, impulsiveness, and perceiving society as one that discriminates based on the level of education. Third, significant family resource variables were the type of family form and parents providing economic support, which is a subfactor of parental attachment. Fourth, the presence of a mentor as a helpful social-relationship resource had a significant effect on relational resources. This study is significant in the sense that the positive family resources that affect the choice of school reentry of drop-out teenage students were determined, and the positive directivity of supportive family resources is presented for parents with teenage children experiencing a suspension of studies. 본 연구에서는 학업중단 청소년 자녀의 학교복귀 선택에 영향을 미치는 자원에 관해 살펴보고자 2013년부터 2017년까지의 총 5차년도 2,553명의 학업중단 청소년 패널 자료를 활용하였다. 2012년 7월 이후 정규 중·고등학교 학업중단 경험이 있는 청소년을 대상으로 학교복귀에 영향을 미치는 자원을 검증하기 위해 학업중단 청소년의 가족자원을 비롯하여 개인의 심리·정서자원 및 사회관계자원에 초점을 두고 분석하였다. 자료 분석 방법은 -와 교차분석, 위계적 로지스틱 회귀분석을 사용하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청소년 자녀의 학교복귀 선택에 영향을 주는 자원 중 인구사회학적 변인은 이사횟수였다. 둘째, 청소년 자녀들의 학교복귀에 영향을 미치는 심리·정서자원은 우울, 충동성과 함께 학업을 중단한 현재에 대한 긍정적 인식의 정도가 낮고 우리 사회가 학력에 대한 차별이 심하다고 지각하는 점이 학교복귀 선택에 작용하였다. 셋째, 가족자원으로는 가족형태와 부모애착의 하위요인 중 경제적 지지 측면이 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 도움을 주는 사회관계자원으로서 멘토 여부가 사회자원으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 토대로 학업중단 청소년 자녀들의 학교복귀 선택에 영향을 미치는 긍정적 가족자원을 밝혀 학업중단 청소년 자녀를 둔 부모들에게 지지적인 가족자원의 방향성을 제시하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

        치과위생사의 심리적 임파워먼트 및 리더-구성원 간 교환관계(LMX)와 직무 만족도의 관련성

        Objectives:This study aimed to identify the influences of leader-member exchange (LMX) and psychological empowerment of the dental hygienists on their job satisfaction. Methods: A self-administrated questionnaire survey was conducted from July 7 to August 2014 targeting 196 dental hygienists in Busan and Gyeongsangnam-do. Leader-member relationship, psychological empowerment and job satisfaction were evaluated by LMX scale, psychological empowerment scale and job descriptive index (JDI), respectively. Data were analyzed by descriptive analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and multiple Linear regression analysis. Results: Overall LMX, psychological empowerment on job satisfaction level of subjects were 3.43±0.61, 3.38±0.66 and 3.20±0.42, respectively. The influential factors of LMX, psychological empowerment and job satisfaction were professional respect (subcategory of LMX), affect (subcategory of LMX), meaning (subcategory of psychological empowerment) and impact (subcategory of psychological empowerment). Conclusions: Job satisfaction of dental hygienist is closely related to professional respect, affect, meaning and impact.

        치과 의원 치과위생사의 이직의도 관련 변수들 간의 모형분석

        Objectives: This study proposes a hypothetical model for job stress, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and turnover intention through social exchange relations (LMX, TMX) and political skills (LPS) for dental hygienists working in dental clinics hygienists. Methods: A self-administrated questionnaire was administered from April 1 to May 12, 2020, with 171 dental clinic hygienists participating in Seoul, Busan and Gyeongnam. The data were analyzed using SPSS and AMOS statistical analysis programs. Results: First, in the hypotheses testing, a total of 7 of 18 hypotheses were supported. Second, the relatonship between leader-member exchange (LMX) or team-member exchange (TMX) and turnover intention, a full mediating effect of job stress or job satisfaction or organizational commitment on that exchange was found. However, the leader’s political skills on the path to turnover intention were not statistically significant. Conclusions: It is considered that education to enhance job skills, support for leisure activities, and time to communicate opinions with each other should be provided to create an organizational culture that satisfies all members, thereby lowering the intention to turnover.

        치과위생사의 팀-구성원 간 교환관계(TMX)와 몰입도의 관련성

        Objectives: This study aimed to identify the effects of team-member exchange (TMX) on dental hygienists’ commitment. Methods: A self-administrated questionnaire was conducted from August 22 to September, 2016 with 191 dental hygienists in Busan and Gyeongsangnam-do. Teacher-member relationships and community were evaluated with the TMX scale and community scale, respectively. A self-administered five-point scale. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-tests, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlations, and multiple linear regression analysis. Results: Overall TMX and commitment levels of subjects were 3.78±0.43 and 3.20±0.41, respectively. The TMX subcategories that influenced commitment and change (a subcategory of commitment) were community consciousness, and trust and respect. The TMX subcategory that influenced organization (a subcategory of commitment) was community consciousness. Conclusions: Dental hygienists’ commitment was closely related to community consciousness, and trust and respect.

        일부 대학생의 치과위생사 직업의 전문성 이미지 만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인

        Objectives: This study is to examine factors influencing the satisfaction of some college students' professional image of dental hygienists, to provide basic data for establishing a desirable it. Methods: This study conducted an online survey of 160 university students from Daegu, Gyeongnam, and Seoul, from August to October, 2020. Results: The image recognition of dental hygienists was the highest at 4.28±0.77 for 'dental hygienists respond in a friendly', the lowest at 3.21±0.93 for 'Do you think dental hygienists have high social status'. The general factor affecting satisfaction with the professional image of dental hygienists was gender(p=0.044), the dental-related characteristic factor was oral health education experience(p=0.010). Conclusions: Efforts are required to improve the professional image of dental hygienists.
