The feasibility of a novel type of moss (Parkortanso No. 1 synthesized from Racomitrium japonicum, Dozy and Molk) to capture CO2 in urban areas was demonstrated. The effects of light intensity (500, 1000, and 1500 μmol/m2.s), ambient temperature (10 °C, 25 °C, and 35 °C), age (1-year-old and 3 years old), and leaf color (bright and dark green) on the CO2 removal caused by the moss concerned were investigated. It was determined that stronger light intensity resulted in higher CO2 removal by the target moss. The moss showed the best CO2 capture at 25 °C, while the CO2- capturing capacities declined when the ambient temperatures were 10 °C and 35 °C. Three years old bright green moss was found to have higher CO2- capturing capacity than 1 year old. Similarly, bright green moss exhibited the best CO2 uptake out of the mosses concerned. The highest net CO2 emission of the moss was − 1.94 ± 0.72 kgCO2/ m2.year, which was comparable to other moss and plant species. Consequently, the bright green and old Parkortanso No. 1 moss are recommended for a green roof application in terms of CO2 capture.

This study explored the movement patterns of tourists’ behavior concerning their food and beverage product choices, which differs from previous studies focusing on tourist movement patterns related to tourist products such as tourist attractions or accommodations. Navigation data of Jeju Island tourists visiting restaurants and cafes were analyzed through descriptive analysis, heatmap analysis, and social network analysis, which helped identify the movement patterns of tourists related to their food and beverage product choices. The heatmap analysis revealed that the movement patterns of tourists who visited restaurants were mostly centered around the urban areas of Jeju-si and Seogwipo-si, while the movement patterns of tourists who visited cafes were observed mostly in outlying areas such as along seasides or mountain areas. Additionally, the social network analysis revealed that the central nodes of restaurant networks were located near urban areas, while the central nodes of cafe networks were located further away from urban areas. This study can contribute to the theoretical understanding of differences in tourist movement patterns based on the purpose of the tourists’ visits. Furthermore, the study provides important insights for DMOs to efficiently operate and effectively develop and promote food and beverage products at destinations.
Developing a Model of Employee Well-being Antecedents through an Integrated Literature Review
Vol.17 No.4
Employee well-being affects not only employees themselves but also the performance of the whole organization. The purpose of this research was to review the current literature on the antecedents of employee well-being and to integrate the findings on employee well-being antecedents into a multilevel model. We examined the definitions of employee well-being in multiple disciplines and how it has been conceptualized in the literature. We also identified the antecedents and presented a framework systematically classifying the wide array of employee well-being antecedents, which resulted in a proposed model integrating antecedents of employee well-being that have been identified in the literature. A total of 54 studies of employee welll-being published in academic journals were selected, and following five areas were suggested: individual employee’s psychological and physical trait, family/social support, work/home system, organizational resources and industry and culture.
