케이블교량의 부재 설계를 지배하는 하중조합에 대한 신뢰도지수 평가

이 논문에서는 케이블교량 설계기준의 설계하중조합에 대한 신뢰도분석을 수행하였다. 설계기준에서 정의한 하중계수와 저항계수를 적용하여 설계된 실제 케이블교량을 대상으로 주 부재별 통계특성과 설계지배 하중조합을 분석하였다. 신뢰도분석을 통하여 하중조합별로 설정된 목표신뢰도지수를 확보됨을 확인하였고, 교량의 중요도를 상향할 수 있는 저항수정계수의 적용성을 검토하였다. 설계변수들이 신뢰도지수에 미치는 민감도 분석을 통하여 케이블의 신뢰도에 중요한 영향을 주는 요소를 분석하였다. 이를 통하여 설계기준의 안전계수들을 적용한 설계를 통하여 케이블교량의 목표신뢰도지수를 확보할 수 있음을 확인하였다. In this paper the reliability analyses of the cable-supported bridge design code which is recently issued in Korea are performed and the results are presented. Governing load combinations for the member design and the statistical properties of the main members are introduced and the analysis is performed using an example cable-stayed bridge for which the design is performed following the load and resistance factors defined in the design code. The reliability analysis shows the target reliability index can be achieved by applying load and resistance factors and the application of the resistance modification factor can enhance the reliability level if the importance of the bridge needs to be increased. The sensitivity analysis reveals that decreasing uncertainty of the cable strength is critical for obtaining the target reliability index. The study results show that the design using the load and resistance factors of the code can achieve the target reliability indexes for the design of cable supported bridge.
Analysis of Wave Force Induced Dynamic Response of Submerged Floating Tunnel

Submerged Floating Tunnel (SFT) is a new structural concept for crossing water. The purpose of the present study is to develop a dynamic analysis program for SFT and investigate dynamic response characteristics of SFT subjected to external environmental wave load. The structure is modeled with 3-dimensional beam element and the fluid is assumed incompressible, invicid and irrotational and is analysed by boundary element method applying linear potential theory. Using the hydrodynamic coefficients of added mass, radiation damping and wave excitation force obtained by solving 2-dimensional diffraction problem, 3-dimensional structural analysis of SFT is performed in time domain and results are presented. The depth effect of SFT location on the hydrodynamic coefficients are illustrated as well as the effect of the frequency dependency of the coefficients which is taken into account in the analysis program.
고차 전이함수를 이용한 해양구조물 거동의 비선형도 결정

파하중과 해류하중을 받는 단일 자유도계를 동적 해석하여 비선형 거동을 나타냄을 보이고 고차의 비선형 전이함수를 포함한 모델을 적용하여 그 비선형 차수를 알아낸다. 먼저 구조물에 단일 정현파, 두 파의 합성파 그리고 불규칙파 하중을 차례로 가하면서 각 하중조건마다 세가지 비선형 요인의 효과를 조사한다. 이로부터 단일 자유도계의 공진주파수에서 파의 에너지는 존재하지 않지만 비선형 요인에 의해 응답 성분이 나타남을 보인다. 다음으로 Volterra 급수에 근거한 고차 전이함수(higher order transfer function)모델을 적용하여 유연한 단일 자유도계의 비선형 거동이 성공적으로 모델화됨을 보이며 또한 비선형성이 2차나 3차로 명백히 나타남을 보인다. Higher order nonlinear transfer functions are applied to model the nonlinear responses obtained Inn dynamic analysis of single degree of freedom systems (SDOF) subjected to wave and current loadings. The structural systems are subjected to single harmonic, two wave combination and irregular wave loading. Three different sources of nonlinearities are examined for each of the wave loading condition and it is shown that the nonlinear response appear at the resonance frequencies of the SDOF even when virtually no wave energy exists at those resonance frequencies. Higher order nonlinear transfer functions based on Volterra series representation are used to model the nonlinear responses mainly f3r the flexible systems and clearly shows the degrees of nonlinearity either as quadratic or cubic.
BWIM Using Measured Acceleration and Strain Data

A new BWIM(bridge weigh-in-motion) algorithm using both measured strain and acceleration data is proposed. To consider the effects of bridge vibration on the estimation of moving loads, the dynamic governing equation is applied with the known stiffness and mass properties but damping is ignored. Dynamic displacements are computed indirectly from the measured strains using the beam theory and accelerations are measured directly by accelerometers. To convert a unit moving load to its equivalent nodal force, a transformation matrix is determined. The incompleteness in the measured responses is considered in developing the algorithm. To examine the proposed BWIM algorithm, simulation studies, laboratory experiments and field tests were carried. In the simulation study, effects of measurement noise and estimation error in the vehicle speed on the results were investigated.
A New Vegetable Soybean Cultivar, “Danmi 2” with free of Lipoxygenase 1 and 2

“Danmi 2”, a new cultivar for vegetable soybean, was developed from the cross between “Seokryangput” and“YS1307” (Seokryangput/Milyang77) at Yeongnam Agricultural Research Institute and released in 2005. The pedigree of “Danmi2”, designated as Milyang 145 in 2002, was YS1307-2B-1-G-1. Vegetable soybean “Danmi 2” was characterized as lipoxygenase1- and 2-free, large seed, very short plant height, and lodging resistance. “Danmi 2” has determinate growth habit, white flower,coat with brown hilum and yellow cotyledon. Over 3 years of Korea regional adaptation tests (2003-2005) for vegetable soybean,“Danmi 2” showed moderate resistance to soybean mosaic virus and lodging, and higher resistance than the check cultivar “Hwae-omput”. Harvesting date of green pod in “Danmi 2” was Aug. 8 which was 4 days later than Hwaeomput and its stem height was9 cm shorter than Hwaeomput. In the same trials, fresh pod of “Danmi 2” (11.61 ton ha1) yielded 9% higher than Hwaeomput(10.68 ton ha1). “Danmi 2” had 6.7 cm fresh pod length, 12.7 m fresh pod width, 79.3 g 100-green seed weight, 41.1% greenseed protein content, and 20.0% green sed oil content. SDS-PAGE on grain storage protein shows that “Danmi 2” was deficient inlipoxygenase 1 and 2.

“Mirang”, a new cultivar for vegetable soybean, was developed from the cross between “Keunol” and “Geunjeongol”at Yeongnam Agricultural Research Institute (YARI) and released in 2005. The pedigre of Mirang, designated as Milyang 144 in2002, was YS1161-3B-15-3-1-2. Mirang is the first vegetable soybean with black seed coat bred in Korea. Safety Assessment of Concrete Expressway Bridges Employing Probabilistic Concept

The study examines the assessment method for the safety of concrete bridges in the Korean expressway using the probabilistic concept. The reliability-based assessment methods available are reviewed, and the assessment results from the different methods are compared through field applications. A comparison of the assessment results from the available international assessment codes or guidelines showed that the current assessment method in Korea provides a very conservative result. The evaluation using the proposed assessment method, considering the reduced uncertainty in the assessment and corresponds to the newly issued bridge design code in the limit-state format, revealed a considerably improved rating factor. To take the characteristics of the limited truck traffic of the expressway into account, a live load model is constructed using the site-specific truck information in a statistical manner and used to evaluate the load rating. In addition, a new updating process for an analytical model of a bridge using measured response is presented. The reduced live load of the expressway increased the rating factor of the test PSC (Prestressed Concrete) girder bridge in a Korean expressway. The rating factor of the test bridge was increased further by applying the updated analytical model.
