전자책 디자인의 체계적인 구축 방안에 관한 연구

최근에는 다양한 디바이스에서 전자책 발행이 가능해지고, 다양한 멀티미디어 제작툴을 사용하여 제작된 전자책 디자인은 폭넓은 표현의 확장 가능성을 보여주고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 연구자의 전자책출판 교육 사례연구를 통해 전자책 디자인의 체계적인 구축과 탄탄한 결과물 도출을 위한 방안을 모색하여 체계화하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 이를 위해, 전자책에 대한 전반적인 이론적 체계를 갖추었고, 콘텐츠의 구조적 변화, 스토리텔링의 중요성과 전자책과의 상관적 관계를 살펴보았다. 또한, 미디어 환경변화에 따른 전자책 디자인의 특징을 파악하여 전자책의 디자인적 측면에서의 효과적인 접근방식과 표현방법의 기틀을 마련하였다. 보다 체계적인 디자인 구축방안을 모색하기 위해 연구자의 전자책출판 디자인 수업 안에서 진행된 아이패드용 전자책(앱북)의 단계별 교육과정과 과정 안에서 선별된 학생작품의 분석을 시행하였다. 이를 바탕으로 연구의 결론을 정리하면, 첫째, 전자책 디자인 시 기술적인 발전에 의해 개발된 매체로서의 접근이 아닌 주제 및 콘텐츠 선정 시에는 ‘Why’의 중요성을 바탕으로 전자책을 통해 전달하려는 콘텐츠의 이유와 목적이 분명해야 한다. 그래야만 단순히 ‘재미와 흥미’ 위주의 즐기기 위함이 아닌 참여와 경험을 통한 정보를 습득할 수 있다. 둘째, 매체적 특성에 맞는 페이지(보기 문서)의 편집배열이 중요히 다뤄져야 한다. 전자책이 낱쪽 구조 중심으로 페이지가 진행되기에 각 주제별, 기사별, 섹션별 페이지의 분배에 의한 연결성, 동일한 콘텐츠에 적합한 디자인의 일관성, 그 안에서의 변화를 보여줄 수 있는 유연성을 바탕으로 전체들(Wholes)과 부분들(Parts)의 관계성을 고려한 페이지의 흐름을 유기적으로 이끌어 나감이 중요하다. 셋째, 콘텐츠에 근거한 인터랙티브 효과가 적용되어야 한다. 전자책의 분야와 전달하고자 하는 기사에 따라 독자들의 집중도와 흥미 유발, 공감도를 높이기 위한 동영상·사운드 재생, 공간에서 공간으로의 연속성에 기반을 둔 메인 기사 페이지에서 서브 기사 페이지로의 이동과 추가적인 정보전달을 위한 하이퍼링크·스크롤에 의한 페이지 이동, 이미지·텍스트의 연속적 효과와 정적·동적 분위기 연출을 위해 이미지 슬라이드쇼를 적용시켰다. 이처럼 콘텐츠에 근거한 인터랙티브 효과가 어우러져 적용될 때, 독자들에게 전자책의 매력과 효용성이 더욱 높이 평가받게 됨을 알 수 있었다. 이에 계속적으로 디자인 영역에서 전자책 디자인을 체계적으로 구축해 나가며 보다 개선되고 발전된 디자인의 결과물이 도출되어 디지털 퍼블리싱이 지속적으로 활성화되기를 기대한다. Recently, electronic books can be issued in various devices and e-book design has shown extensibility of wide expression using various kinds of multimedia production tools. This study aims to explore direction for deduction of solid outcome and systematic construction of e-book designs through case study on publication of e-books of this researcher. For this purpose, this study examined overall theoretical system of e-book, correlative relationship of e-books, importance of storytelling, structural change of contents, and prepared the framework for expression method and effective approach in terms of design of e-book by understanding characteristics of e-book design brought by changing media environment. Moreover, this study analyzed the curriculum of e-book for iPad conducted in education on e-book design of researcher, as well as works of students selected in the course. To sum up the conclusions of this research, first of all, when designing an e-book, it is needed not to approach it as a medium developed through technological development, but in selecting the topic and contents, it is necessary to clarify the reason and purpose of contents to be delivered through the e-book based on the importance of ‘why’. Only in this way, it is possible to acquire information through participation and experience, not just for enjoying centering around mere ‘fun and interest’. Second, e-book should be dealt with importantly editing and arranging pages suited for the media characteristics. Since an e-book’s pages develop around its single pages, it is essential to consider connectivity regarding the distribution of pages by topics, articles, and sections, design consistency right for the identical contents, and lead the flow of pages organically in consideration of the relationship between wholes and parts based on the flexibility that can show the change within that. Third, interactive effect should be applied based on the contents. The video·audio playing is employed to enhance readers’ concentration, interest, and empathy according to the articles to be delivered and the areas of e-books, and the image slide show is applied to move to the sub articles’ pages from the main articles’ pages based on the continuity between space and space, move to the pages by hyperlink or scrolling to deliver additional information, and create a static·dynamic atmosphere as well as the continuous effect of an image. When interactive effect is applied and used effectively based on the contents, the e-book’s charms and utility come to be evaluated more highly by the readers. In this regard, it is expected to systematically design e-book design in the area of design, to deduce outcome of design more improved and developed and to activate digital publishing continuously.

Anesthetic management during the first combined heart-liver transplant performed in Korea -a case report-

Herein, we describe the anesthetic management during the first combined heart-liver transplant (CHLT) performed in Korea. Though CHLT is a rare procedure, accumulating evidence suggests that it is a feasible option for patients with coexisting heart and liver failure. A 45-year-old female patient presented with severe cardiac dysfunction requiring extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) support and secondary congestive hepatopathy. The patient underwent consecutive heart and liver transplantation using extracorporeal circulatory devices—heart transplant with cardiopulmonary bypass, and liver transplant with peripheral ECMO. In this case report, we focus on the specific anesthetic considerations for CHLT pertaining to the challenges associated with dual pathophysiology.

Analyzing Article Citation Patterns in CALL Journals

While computers play a significant role in language learning, its trend has rarely been investigated through a citation analysis which measures the influences of authors and publications based on the number of citations toward them. This research consisted of a citation analysis aiming at analyzing the citation patterns reflected in computer-assisted language learning (CALL) articles from 2009 to 2010. For this study, three CALL journals were selected; the two overseas CALL journals, CALL and ReCALL, are listed with the Social Science Citation Index (SSCI), and MALL is listed with the Korea Citation Index (KCI). In addition, the two-year period of selected journals is based on the journal impact factor (JIF),the journal ranking system of SSCI. All the collected data was analyzed in accordance with characteristics of cited materials, most frequently cited items,and most frequently cited individuals. The results revealed that journals and books were cited the most, and relatively recent items were frequently cited. CALL researchers tended to cite English language teaching (ELT) and CALL-related publications. In addition, only a few publications and authors were repeatedly cited, and few Korean publications and authors were cited by overseas researchers.

대미 수출 수산물의 유통경로 분석 연구

미국은 우리나라의 제3위 수산물 수출국으로, 전체 수출의 13.7%를 차지할 만큼 매우 중요한 수출대상국이다. 그러나 2024년 1월로 예정되어 있는 해양포유류보호법(MMPA) 수입 규제가 본격 시행될 경우 대미 수출에 미치는 영향이 상당할 것으로 보이며, 원활한 대미 수산물 수출을 위해서는 업체별로 모든 품목에 대해 생산 또는 원료 수입부터 가공, 유통, 수출까지 단계별 과정을 증빙할 수 있는 자료를 구비해야 할 것으로 예상된다. 다만 현재로서는 생산자부터 유통업자, 소비자에 이르기까지 이력 정보의 기록 및 관리와 관련된 국내 제도가 미비한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 미국으로 수출되는 주요 수산물의 유통단계가 얼마나 복잡한 형태를 띠고 있는지, 그리고 경로별 비중이 어떠한지 등 그 수출 실태를 우선적으로 파악하기 위해 대미 수출업체 및 수출 현황을 조사하고, 유통경로를 분석하여 시사점을 제시하고자 하였다. The United States is Korea’s important trading partner, ranking third (13.7%) in exports of fishery products in Korea. The impact on exports to the United States is expected to be significant if the seafood import provisions under the MMPA are implemented in 2024 accordingly. It is expected that documents proving production information will be required for all items when exporting to the U.S. Therefore, this study attempted to examine the current status of exports and exporters in order to understand the actual conditions of major fishery products exported to the United States. Besides, there are currently no official system and procedures in Korea to prove production information for all fishery items, so we tried to suggest implications by examining distribution channels for major export items to the U.S. In this study, five items including seaweed and halibut as domestic aquaculture items, tuna and squid as deep-sea fishing items, and fish cake using imported raw materials were selected as the target items for distribution channel investigation. In addition, this study is meaningful in that it investigated the routes from production to processing, distribution, and export of each item and identified detailed distribution channel for major items exported to the U.S.

소리쟁이 뿌리 성분이 조골세포 분화에 미치는 영향

Rumex crispus (Curled Dock, Polygonaceae) is a perennial wild plant used in traditional medicine as a laxative, astringent, and to treat blood and skin disease. The ethanol extract of R. crispus was obtained and its carbohydrate contents were analyzed using high-performance anion-exchange chromatography with pulsed amperometric detection. The anabolic effects of R. crispus in human osteoblastic MG-63 cells were investigated using the WST-8 assay, alkalinephosphatase (ALP) assay, and mineralization assay. The ethanol extract increased the proliferation of MG-63 cells and stimulated ALP activity in a dose-dependent manner over a 72-hrs period. Additionally, the ethanol extract dose-dependently stimulated the for- mation of bone nodules in MG-63 cells treated for 12 days. The ethyl acetate fraction from the ethanol extract did not affect osteoblast viability but induced an increase in ALP activity. In conclusion, the ethanol extract of R. crispus increases the pro- liferation and bone-forming activity of osteoblasts, and hence it could be used in the development of bone-forming stim- ulatory nutraceuticals and osteoporosis-related medicines.
