An investigation is reported on the coating of ZnS:Cu,Cl phosphors by $HfO_2$ using atomic layer deposition method. Hafnium oxide films were prepared at the chamber temperature of $280^{\circ}C$ using $Hf[N(CH_3)_2]_4\;and\;O_2$ as precursors and reactant gas, respectively. XPS and ICP-MS analysis showed the surface composition of coated phosphor powder was hafnium oxide. In FE-SEM analysis, the surface morphology of uncoated phosphors became smoother and clearer as the number of ALD cycle increased from 900 to 1800. The photoluminescence intensity for coated phosphors showed $7.3{\sim}13.4%$ higher than that of uncoated. The effect means that the reactive surface is uniformly coated with stable hafnium oxide to reduce the dead surface layer without change of bulk properties and also its absorptance is almost negligible due to ultrathin(nano-scaled) films. The growth rate is about $1.1{\AA}/cycle$.
Efficient Regeneration from Foliage Leaf and Immature Spathe Explants of Garlic

마늘은 생장점 유래의 캘러스 배양으로 Agrobacterium을 이용한 형질전환이 어려운 실정이므로, 엽절편체 및 미숙총포 조직을 이용한 고효율 재분화 체계를 개발하고자 하였다. 난지형 및 한지형 마늘 4개 품종의 보통엽을 발아시기별, 절편크기별로 처리한 결과 2,4-D 0.1㎎ L<SUP>-1</SUP>와 BA 0.1㎎ L<SUP>-1</SUP>가 첨가된 배지에서 계대배양하는 것이 callus 형성률이 높았다. 마늘 발아 후 신초 1.0-2.0㎝ 시기의 보통엽 조직에서 체세포 유사 구조의 캘러스 형성률이 높았고, 첫 번째 보통엽 절편에서만 캘러스가 유기되었다. 이들 캘러스는 10㎎ L<SUP>-1</SUP> BA가 첨가된 배지에서 완전한 식물체로 재분화되었다. 미숙총포 절편은 NAA 1.0㎎ L<SUP>-1</SUP>, BA 1.0㎎ L<SUP>-1</SUP>의 배지조건에서 높은 재분화를 보였다. 또한 이들 식물체는 6% sucrose가 함유된 MS 기본배지에서 다수의 구를 생산할 수 있었다. Plant regeneration of garlic was successfully established from foliage leaf and immature spathe explants. The foliage leaf explants of four garlic (Allium sativum L.) cultivars were cultured on LS medium containing 0.1 ㎎L<SUP>-1</SUP> 2,4-D and 0.1 ㎎L<SUP>-1</SUP> BA with different sampling stages and explant sizes. Callus was induced from the first foliage leaf explants only. Larger sized (0.5 ㎝) foliage leaf explants were the highest in callus formation during sprouting stage of 1.0-2.0 ㎝ leaf. These calli from foliage leaf explants were very similar with somatic embryos in appearance. When these calli from foliage leaf explants were transferred to the differentiation medium containing 10 ㎎L<SUP>-1</SUP> BA, the shoots differentiated normally. Shoot regeneration and in vitro bulblet formation from immature spathe explants were rapid and efficient on MS medium containing 1.0 ㎎L<SUP>-1</SUP> NAA, 1.0 ㎎L<SUP>-1</SUP> BA, and 6% sucrose. Results indicate that immature spathes are more suitable explants for transformation than the calli from foliage leaf explants, since these tissues need longer time for regeneration and result in very low regeneration frequency.

N/A Author has studied 100 subjects of the viral hepatitis who admitted to the department of Gast- roenterology 'of Woo!Sok University Medical College frorn August, 1969 to August, 1971. In this 100 subjects, men were 53 and v:omen 47 in number. Blood collection for liver functiorz tests were performed after an over night fast, The results vvere as follows; Of 100 subject diagnosed viral hepatitis, chronic hepatitis contained 43 subjects (43%), infectious hepatitis 38(38%), cholangiolitic hepatitis 8(8%), nonicteric hepatitis 6(6%), fulminant hepatitis 4(4%) and serum hepatitis 1(1%). 2, Seasonal trend: The most frequent onsets were observed in May and June with 12% and 13% each in frequency. The lowest frequency was observed in January (4%). 3, Age: The most of the cases were noted at 30 to 39 years of age (26%), 4, Sex: The difference between both sexes in frequency was not observed. 5. Symptoms and signs: Upper abdominal pain and discomfort were most frequently complainect of 37% and hepatomegaly were the commomest physical signs 49%. G. Serum alpha-l, alpha-2, beta and gamma globulins were increased and had frequencies of 16%, 21%, 13% and 31% each. 7. Stab, neutrophils were increased in 58% of cases and lymphocytes were also increased in 51% of cases.

In this paper, we treat the problem of a robust finite-time dissipative state feedback controller design method for discrete-time singular systems with polytopic uncertainties. A BRL(bounded real lemma) for finite-time stability of discrete-time singular systems is derived. A finite-time dissipative state feedback controller design method satisfying finite-time stability and dissipativity is proposed by LMI(linear matrix inequality) technique on the basis of the obtained BRL. Moreover it is shown that the obtained condition can be extended into polytopic uncertain systems by proper manipulations. Finally, illustrative examples are given to show the applicability of the proposed method.

The purpose of this study is to examine the Egyptian`s way of thinking through the Egyptian proverbs focusing on motifs of gender, social life & religion. In the first chapter, this paper starts out with a brief of the introduction to the proverb and Arab proverb. The second chapter represents the introduction to the Arab proverb, including the limitation of the study which consists of three motifs. In the third chapter, the researcher concentrates on the three motifs-gender, social life and religion-which have an effect on the Egyptian daily life. The gender describes the major constituents-marriage, male as a driving force, making light of female and female as a driving force. The religion describes the having a dread of Allah, faithful belief and blessing of Allah. The social life describes the interpersonal relation and view of money. In the forth chapter, without exception, the researcher concludes that the different secular and sacred elements in the Egyptian Proverbs play important roles in their daily lives.

Laser Transformation Hardening(LTH) is one branch of the laser surface modification processes. A lot of energy is needed for the LTH process to elevate workpiece surface to temperature of the austenite transformation(A₃), which results from utilizing a beam with a larger size and lower power density comparatively. This study is related to the surface hardening for the rod-shaped carbon steel by the high power diode laser whose beam absorptivity is better than conventional types of lasers such as CO₂or Nd:YAG laser. Because a beam proceeds on the rotating specimen, the pretreated hardened-phase can be tempered and softened by the overlapping between hardened tracks. Accordingly, the longitudinal hardness measurement and observation of the micro structure was carried out for an assessment of the hardening characteristics. In addition, a hardening characteristics as a hardenability of materials was compared in the point of view of the hardness distribution and hardening depth and width.

Advances in laser technology have yielded a multitude of innovative processes and applications in various industries. Laser peening is a typical example invented in the mid-1990s as a surface technology, which converted residual stress from tension to compression by just irradiating successive laser pulses to metallic materials under aqueous environment without any surface preparation. The effects of laser peening have been experimentally studied on residual stress, stress corrosion cracking(SCC) susceptibility and fatigue properties with water-penetrable frequency-doubled Nd:YAG laser. In addition, laser peening has been widely used in aviation and aerospace industries, automobile manufacturing and nuclear plant. One of the most important causes to improve the above-mentioned properties is the deeper compressive residual stress induced by laser peening. Taking advantage of the process without reacting force against laser irradiation, a remote operating system was developed to apply laser peening to nuclear power reactors as a preventive maintenance measure against SCC.
