We investigated the aquatic insects living in the mountain streams of the valley of Mount Kye Ryong comparing with the plant vegetation of the valley, from February 20th 1975 to August 15th 1975. (1) As for the plant vegetation, we examined the quantity of the forest and grass vegetation on the ground of the both sides of the mountain streams of this valley. (2) For the purpose of this investigation, we examined the quality of water of the streams. (3) Through the examination on the quantity of the aquatic insects, we wrote the biotic index by means of Beck Tsuda Method. (4) It can be asserted that the mountain streams of this valley aren`t tainted, through the result of the examination on the aquatic insects of this area. (5) The forest and grass vegetation of this area have strong influence on the quality of water, and are closely related with the quantity of the water insects of this area. (6) On the view point of taxonomy, there are 61 sorts of the aquatic insects in this area: 21 sorts of the aquatic insects in this area:21 sorts of Trichoptera, 15 sorts of Ephemeroptera, 9 sorts of Plecoptera, 5 sorts of Odonata, 4 sorts of Coleoptera, 3 sorts of Hemiptera, 2 sorts of Diptera, one sort of Megaloptera, and one sort of Lepidoptera. (7) We think that this area is suited for the national park, paying due regard to the conditions of this area.
Dynamic analysis of an axially moving robot manipulator supported by bearings
김재원,정진태 대한기계학회 2017 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.31 No.7
In this study, a robot manipulator is modelled as a cantilever beam, which moves in an axial direction, has a lumped mass at the end, and is supported by intermediate springs. Considering the tip mass and intermediate springs in the modeling, we derive the equations of motion in which the rigid-body motion is coupled with the flexible motions, and then analyze the transverse vibrations of the beam. Furthermore, we study the tip mass effects on the natural frequencies and the corresponding mode shapes. The natural frequency loci veering is analyzed for variations in the tip mass and the spring position/stiffness. In addition, we investigate the exchange and localization of modes around these veering regions as well as the parameter effects on the mode shapes. Using a Short-time Fourier transform (STFT), the relationship between the dynamic characteristics and dynamic responses are described. It is found that the dynamic characteristics of the beam are dependent on the veering distance. It is also shown via dynamic responses that the mode exchanges occur when a veering distance is close.

In this study, the effect of the material strength grades of cold rolled dual phase 590, 780, and 980 MPasteels on the weld strength of gas metal arc welding lap joints is investigated. With increasing strengthgrades of the base metal, the bead geometry is similar for identical welding currents and speeds. However, the failure location changes from a base metal to a fusion zone and the joint efficiency decreases withincreasing material strength grades. This is attributed to the changes in the location of minimum hardnessthat result from the heat-affected zone softening phenomena. Joint efficiency is related to the ratio betweenthe base metal hardness and minimum hardness of the welds. A prediction formula for joint efficiency (η) isobtained in terms of proportion of base metal hardness and minimum hardness (HMIN/HBM) as follows:η = 0.801 (HMIN/HBM) + 20.0.

The purpose of this study was to develop dressing foam with drug immobilization abilities by using Azidophenyl alginate (Az-alginate). We characterized prepared Az-alginate. Through the patterning test, immobilization of drug was confirmed. Degrees of photo-curing were identified by the photo-curing ratio test. Cytotoxicity test confirmed that Az-alginate was biocompatible. The protein releasing test measured the degree of drug released according to the concentration of Az-alginate. By examination of the water absorbency and moisture vapor transmission rate, characteristics of the dressing foam with photo-cured Az-alginate were measured. From the results of these tests, Az-alginate can be applied to the dressing foam.
1P-206 Preparation of UV-Curable Gelatin Derivatives for Injectable Particles
김재원,이태훈,노승현,김신웅,손태일 한국공업화학회 2017 한국공업화학회 연구논문 초록집 Vol.2017 No.1
Gelatin is main constituent of the skin, bone, and connective tissue of animal. It has properties such as biocompatibility and biodegradability. it is widely used to biomaterial for drug delivery. Therefore, gelatin derivative was used to form particle containing drug and to make sustained drug effect to injection site. Azido group was introduced into the gelatin for preparation of UV-curable Gelatin derivative. If Az-Gelatin particle form was injected into the body, it was slowly biodegraded and made a long-lasting effect on a certain site. 1H-NMR and FT-IR spectroscopy were demonstrated that azido group was introduced into Gelatin. The ability to encapsulate drug was confirmed by fluorescent protein using fluorescence microscope. Based on these characteristics, Az-Gelatin is expected to be application in medical field.

Immature cell monolayers are vulnerable to tensile strain, which can cause severe diseases includingfibrosis, cancer, and atherosclerosis. However, little is known about how immature cell monolayersrespond to tensile strain. To study the effect of tensile strain on the morphology of cells in immaturemonolayers, we developed a miniaturized stretching device that allows stable real-time imaging ofchanges in cell shape induced by uniaxial static stretching of up to 20%. Upon stretching, the shape of cellsin the immature (2 day-cultured) monolayer changed dynamically, unlike in the mature (7 day-cultured)monolayer. Dynamic changes in the immature cell monolayers induced by tensile strain can be explainedby the increase in di-phosphorylated myosin light chain (pp-MLC), which initiates actomyosincontraction. We suggest that our stretching-observation system can be used to investigate themorphological response of epithelial cell monolayers to tensile strain.

Background: This study evaluated the effects of pre-anesthetic administration of dexmedetomidine on sedative, cardiovascular, and recovery parameters. Methods: This was a prospective, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study. We selected 60 patients who were scheduled to undergo laparoscopic cholecystectomy. They were randomly divided into two groups and received 0.5 mg/kg of dexmedetomidine (group D) or normal saline (group S) over 10 minutes before induction of anesthesia. The Ramsay sedation scale (RSS) score and bispectral index (BIS) were recorded after completion of the dexmedetomidine infusion. Mean arterial pressure (MAP), heart rate (HR), peripheral pulse oximetry, cardiac output (CO), and systemic vascular resistance (SVR) were recorded. The modified Aldrete recovery score (MARS) was recorded in the recovery room. Results: After completion of the dexmedetomidine infusion, BIS reduction was less than 20% (97.1 ± 2.4, 83.8 ± 4.8; P < 0.001), but RSS-rated sedation was appropriate (P < 0.001). HR was lowest at the end of the dexmedetomidine infusion and there was a significant difference between groups (P < 0.001); however, MAP was not significantly different between groups (P = 0.139). CO was lowest and SVR was highest at the end of the dexmedetomidine infusion. There was no significant difference in MARS values between groups (P = 0.190). Conclusions: A pre-anesthetic dexmedetomidine (0.5 mg/kg) provided appropriate sedation without serious changes in cardiovascular parameters or a prolonged recovery time.
