H.264/AVC의 실시간 압축을 위한 고속 인터 예측 부호화 기술

This paper proposed a fast algorithm to reduce the amount of calculation for inter prediction which takes a great deal of the operational time in H.264/AVC. This algorithm decides a search range according to the direction of predicted motion vector, and then performs an adaptive spiral search for the candidates with JM(Joint Model) FME(Fast Motion Estimation) which employs the rate-distortion optimization(RDO) method. Simultaneously, it decides a threshold cost value for each of the variable block sizes and performs the motion estimation for the variable search ranges with the threshold. These activities reduce the great amount of the complexity in inter prediction encoding. Experimental results by applying the proposed method .to various video sequences showed that the process time was decreased up to 80% comparing to the previous prediction methods. The degradation of video quality was only from 0.05dB to 0.19dB and the compression ratio decreased as small as 0.58% in average. Therefore, we are sure that the proposed method is an efficient method for the fast inter prediction. 본 논문에서는 H.264/AVC에서 가장 많은 연산량을 차지하는 인터 예측(inter prediction)을 고속으로 수행할 수 있는 방법을 제안하였다. 제안한 방법은 율-왜곡 최적화 기법(Rate-Distortion Optimization, RDO)이 적용된 JM(Joint Model)의 FME(Fast Motion Estimation)를 대상으로 예측된 움직임 벡터의 방향성을 고려하여 탐색영역을 결정한 후 적응적인 후보 나선형 탐색을 수행한다. 동시에 가변 블록 크기에 대하여 비용함수의 임계값(threshold)을 결정한 후 가변 구간 움직임 탐색을 수행함으로써 인터 예측의 부호화 복잡도를 감소시킨다. 다양한 영상들을 대상으로 실험한 결과 기존의 예측 방식에 최대 80%의 연산량을 줄일 수 있음을 확인하였다. 이에 따른 화질 열화는 평균 $0.05dB{\sim}0.19dB$에 불과하며, 압축률은 평균 0.58%의 미미한 감소를 보임으로써, 제안한 방법이 고속 인터 예측 알고리즘으로 매우 효율적인 방법임을 확인하였다.

Spontaneous tonsillar bleeding is a rare condition in ENT unit. Almost reported cases have been related to infection of tonsils. Prior to introduction of antibiotics, spontaneous tonsillar bleeding was usually related to superficial capsular bleeding due to acute or chronic tonsillitis. The presented case is a 36-year old healthy man without history of acute, chronic tonsillitis, and coagulation disorder who complained of dyspnea and oropharyngeal foreign body sensation after vomitting. Examination revealed a reddish polypoid mass of the right tonsil. Furthermore, the mass pushed uvula and tongue base, caused nearly total obstruction of oropharynx. All rountine laboratory test results were within normal limits. Computed tomography (CT) showed low density mass of attached in upper pole of right tonsil without enhancement. We performed tonsillectomy including the reddish polypoid mass under general anesthesia. The pathology revealed lymphoepithelial tissue with reactive hyperplasia. This is the first reported tonsillar hematoma presenting as a large oropharyngeal mass which was caused by vomitting.

In the automobile industry, studies have been made on spot welds of non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, which has lightweight, high-strength, and excellent impact properties, in order to improve fuel efficiency through lightening of vehicle body weight. However, these dissimilar welds cause intermetallic compound formation and the galvanic corrosion in corrosion environments at the weld interface. On the other hand, it is known that the weld bonding process has the property of improving strength of spot welds by applying a structural adhesive between two metals and increasing the surface adhesive force. In this study, Al 6061-T6 with a thickness of 1mm and galvanized steel sheet (GA) with a grade of 440 MPa were used as target materials. As a process method, delta spot welding equipment was used for reducing the heat input using a special process tape and the weld bonding process by the D type structural adhesive was done. As a result, tensile shear strength after salt spray test for 1920 hours was more than twice that of spot welding condition and it was confirmed that the corrosion amount of the welds was lowered.

최근 IT 기술의 발달로 배전자동화 시스템에 많은 통신방식들이 적용되고 있다. 이 중에서 기존 인프라를 사용하는 방식인 전력선통신 기술은 가장 효율적인 통신방식으로 언급되고 있다. 이를 배전자동화 시스템에 적용하기 위해서는 별도의 신호처리 장치와 통신장치가 필요하나, 비용, 설치 및 운영의 불편함으로 확대 적용에 많은 애로점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 SoC 기술을 이용 전력선통신을 위한 통신 모듈과 고해상도 아나로그 디지털 변환기, 제어용 신호를 처리하는 전용 디지털 신호처리 장치를 결합, 하나의 칩으로 설계하여 경량, 박막화를 실현하였다. 이로 인해 구성부품이 최소화되면서 개발과정이 단축되고, 성능, 전력 소비면에서 유리하며, 다양한 기능을 구비한 전력선통신기반 제어 시스템을 설계할 수 있다.

These social changes which increase the urban vacant space leads to the various social problems such as high crime, deteriorated landscape, and poor quality of the residential environment. This research proposes the concept of “tactical urbanism” to overcome these problems.
초등 영어 수업에서 파닉스 기반 읽기 지도에 관한 실태 조사

This paper aims to survey the current situation in which phonics-based reading has been taught to third and fourth graders and propose effective strategies for teaching phonics-based reading in the elementary school English classroom. The results of the survey are as follows: Although most teachers recognized the necessity of teaching phonemic awareness and phonics-based reading, they were not very satisfied with teaching contents, times, activities and materials included in the textbooks in terms of students`` achievement and involvement. Phonics-based activities in the textbooks focused mainly on typical controlled practice. But teachers wanted to use various activities like games, songs, etc. which students can be actively involved in. Almost half of the teachers were not very satisfied with their own methods to teach reading based on phonics, because they were unacquainted with the phonics approach and did not feel competent with their phonics-based teaching techniques. Only a few teachers completed in-service teacher training programs for teaching phonics-based reading. But most teachers wanted to participate in the future programs. In conclusion, it is suggested that various activities for teaching phonics-based reading be developed and distributed among classrooms, and the range of teaching contents and times be sufficiently extended, and finally, teacher training programs for phonics approach be built up and available to any teachers wishing to attend them.
