        An extensive corrosion study was initiated by galvalume steel sheet manufacturing company to clarify the corrosion behavior of zinc and zinc-alloy coated automotive sheet steel in out panel and electrical application. Since the early 1980's the use of zinc and aluminum alloy coated steel for vehicular corrosion protection has increased dractically. This paper describes the evaluation of formability, weldability and painted corrosion performance of galvalume steel sheet. This paper presents an overview of the program and some initial test results on the of weldability, lifetime on the electode tip shape of spot welder and corrosion protection. Galvlume steel sheet improved corrosion performance and spot weldability of galvalume steel has no problem for the variation of welding current. And tip lifetime was changed according to the influence of shape.

        A cold spot temperature control system for the BAF(batch annealing furnace)has been established in order to reduce energy consumption to improve productivity and stabilize the properties of products. Therefore we confirmed for the improving of material quality (eq. even and consistent tempering, high surface cleanliness, reduced carbon depositing etc.), increasing of output, comparison of annealing cycle time, reducting of annealing cost and distrubition of cold spot temperature according to BAF type. The use of hydrogen instead of the protective gas, combined with high convection in batch annealing furnaces, has shown that considerable increases in furnace output and material quality are attainable. Owing to the low density, high diffusion and reducing character of hydrogen, a better transfer resulting in uniform material temperatures and improved coil surfaces can be achieved.

      • 흡연 남자대학생의 영양교육 효과 측정

        The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness on nutritional education in college male smoker. To obtain above purpose we investigated the behavior of dietary, anthropometric parameter, dietary intake and evaluation in nutritional knowledge and change of attitudinal beliefs between pre and post nutritional education. Subjects were 30 college male smokers(mean age 26.lyr). Nutritional education program was conducted with a 8 week(8 times) program focused on the teaching of the food and nutrition. This nutritional program had an impact on nutrition intakes, improvement in nutrition knowledge and some beliefs related to smoking in subjects. Various programs of nutritional education must be implemented for male smokers, and further studies are needed regarding sorts and long term period.

      • 충남 일부 산업체 남자근로자의 근무형태별 영양상태

        This study investigated to improve for nutritional service and nutrition education for prevention of chronic degenerative diseases. We compared difference in dietary habits, life-style behavior, nutrient intakes and health status of male industrial workers by work condition. Anthropometric parameters of height, weight, waist, hip and triceps skinfold thickness were measured for 101 subjects(50 office workers, 51 laborers). To assess the nutrient intake and diet quality of workers were measured by one day 24-hour recall method. The average age of the subjects was that office workers is 33.9 years, laborers is 34.4 years. Education levels were higher in office workers than in laborers. Result of anthropometric parameters of height(P<0.01), weight(P<0.05), hip(P<0.05), TSF(P<0.01) were significantly higher in office workers than in laborers. Smoking and alcohol drinking of subjects were not significant difference between office workers and laborers. Average daily nutrient intake of both group was higher than the Korean RDA. For calcium (P<0.01), iron (P<0.05), vitamin A(P<0.001), vitamin B1(P<0.01), niacin (P<0.05) was significantly higher in laborers than office workers. Nutrition adequacy ratio(NAR), mean adequacy ratio(MAR) and index of nutritional quality(INQ) of laborers were better than those of office workers. This results indicated that the onset possibility of chronic degenerative disease appeared difference by work condition.

      • 서해안 일부지역에서 서식하는 어·패류의 마그네슘과 망간함량에 관한 연구

        This study was performed to investigate the level of Mg(magnesium) and Mn(manganease) in 15 species fish and 9 species shellfish collected at the west coast in Korea from June to November in 1996. The results were summarized as follows(ppm). 1. The minimum and maximum values of fish, mean value bracketed, were ; Mg : 682.10-3,480.50(1,460.25), Mn : 0.61-35.55(6.04). 2. The minimum and maximum values of shellfish, mean value bracketed, were ; Mg : 1.32-4,743.50(1,903.16), Mn : 3.19-44.69(22.52). 3. The levels of Mg(P<0.05) and Mn(P<0.01) in shellfish were highier than the levels of that in fish significantly. 4. The level of Mg in total samples was not showed correlation with Mn level in that.

      • BAF Annealing에서 저온점의 온도변화에 관한 연구

        As demand for various kinds and small lot products has been increasing, batch annealing has been appreciated for its small restriction for the operation. The cold spot of the coil is very inportant in the BAF(Batch annealing furnace) annealing process. Because of the annealing cycle time in the BAF, annealing was decided on the cold spot of the coil. So, we tested the effect, variation of cold spot, for hydrogen contents of atmospheric gas at the annealing furnace. As a result of several investigations. We confirmed the following characteristics ; after the heating and soaking, the cold spot of coil moved to 1/3 of coil thickness in the HNx atmospheric gas, but the mid point of the coil thickness is the cold spot in the Ax or H₂atmospheric gas. Therefore, the use of hydrogen instead of nitrogen as the protective gas, combined with high convection in batch annealing furnaces, has shown that considerable increases in furnace output and material quality are attainable. Owing to the low density, high diffusion and reducing character of hydrogen, a better transfer resulting in uniform material temperatures and improved coil surfaces can be achieved.

      • 작업롤의 파손과 크롬함량에 따른 마멸특성

        Work rolls used in cold rolling mills must have outstanding wear resistance and very little plastic deformation. Thus, these rolls require a higher surface hardness and hardening to a greater depth. To meet these requrements, the rolls, in general, have basic chemical composition of 0.7 to 1.0% carbon and 1.0 to 5.0% chromium(Cr), plus a small amounts of special elements, and are subjected to intensive water quenching and tempering at low temperature to provide a surface hardness of over 90 shore. This test results are as follows. Deflection and fracture load of 5% Cr material are than those of 3% Cr material and show flat curve from surface to subsurface. It will be clear that 5% Cr work roll has a superior resistibility against wear and abrasion comparing with 3% Cr work roll. The improvement of wear and abration in 5% Cr work roll will be achieved by the large amount of spheroidal carbide. In grindability and polish, 5% Cr work roll will be a little inferior comparing with 3% Cr work roll.

        시니어댄스와 탄력밴드운동이 고령여성의 혈중지질과 혈중 BDNF에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 시니어댄스와 탄력밴드운동이 혈중지질 및 BDNF에 미치는 영향을 구명하기 위하여 B시에 거주하는 인지기능(MMSE-K) 점수가 25점 이상인 고령여성(75.54세) 21명(운동군: 11명, 통제군: 10명)을 대상으로 12주간, 주 3 회, 1일 60분, RPE 11-14로 실시하였다. 혈중지질의 변화에서 운동군의 T-C(p<.001), LDL-C(p<.05), TG(p<.05)는 감소하였고, HDL-C은 증가(p<.05)하였다. 하지만 대조군에서는 변화가 없었다. 반복측정 이원변량분석 결과 집단과 시기 간의 상호작용 효과는 T-C(p<.05), TG(p<.05), HDL-C(p<.05)에서 유의한 차이가 나타났으며, LDL-C는 변화가 없었다. 운동효과에 대한 혈중 BDNF의 변화에서 운동군은 증가(p<.001)하였으나 대조군에서는 변화가 없었다. 반복측정 이원변량분석 결과 집단과 시기 간의 상호작용 효과는 유의한 차이(p<.01)가 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과를 통해 시니어댄스와 탄력밴드운동이 고령여성의 혈중지질과 BDNF에 긍정적인 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났으며, 이러한 인자들의 개선은 치매 예방적 차원에서 고령으로 인한 인지기능 쇠퇴나 치매발병의 위험을 줄이는데 기여할 것으로 생각된다. The purpose of this study is to examine blood lipids and BDNF in elderly women after 12 weeks of senior dance and elastic band exercise. Subjects consist of 21 elderly women (control: 10, exercise: 11) aged 73-78 yrs with MMSE-K scores of more than 25. The senior dance and elastic band exercise program included stretching for 5-10 minutes, main exercise for 40-45 minutes, and cool down for 5 minutes, 3 times a week for 12 weeks. The statistical technique used for data analysis was paired sample t-test. There was no significant difference in serum BDNF values in the control group, whereas post serum BDNF values significantly increased in the exercise group. TC, TG and LDL-C values were significantly lower in the exercise group than in the control group. However, HDL-C values were higher in the exercise group than in the control group. Therefore, it is recommended that future studies regarding elderly women's blood lipids and BDNF levels in response to exercise should be conducted continuously with more various treatment.

        Since the early 1980's the use of zinc-aluminum alloy-coated steel (Galvalume) for vehicular corrosion protection has increased drastically. Late 1990's model cars and electronic products built in our country will, for the most part, be entirely made of galvalume. including the roof in many cases. Car and electronic products makers, however, are not consistent in their choice of specific galvalume types or coating weights. An extensive corrosion study was initiated by a galvalume steel sheet manufacturing company to clarify the corrosion behavior ol zinc and zinc-alloy coated automotive sheet-steel in out-panel and electrical applications. Since the early 1980's the use of zinc-aluminum alloy-coated steel for vehicular corrosion protection has increased drastically. This paper tested the performance of the corrosion mechanism of a galvalume steel sheet in dropping water.
