마이크로웨이브 조사를 이용한 반도체성 단일벽 탄소나노튜브의 선택적 분리

본 연구에서는 열화학기상증착법과 나노구조의 Fe/$Al_2O_3$/Si 촉매층을 이용하여 단일벽 탄소나노튜브를 합성하고 마이크로웨이브 조사를 통해 금속성 단일벽 탄소나노튜브를 선택적으로 제거하고 반도체성 단일벽 탄소나노튜브를 분리하였다. 조사시간의 변화에 따른 단일벽 탄소나노튜브의 전기적, 구조적 특성을 분석한 결과, 조사시간이 120초인 경우, 금속성의 단일벽 탄소나노튜브가 선택적으로 제거되어 약 95%의 반도체성 단일벽 탄소나노튜브를 분리할 수 있었으며, 뿐만 아니라 남아있는 반도체성 단일벽 탄소나노튜브가 손상 없이 우수한 결정성을 지니는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 방법은 반도체성 단일벽 탄소 나노튜브를 기반으로 한 전계효과 트랜지스터 및 다양한 나노전자소자의 응용에 유용한 정보를 제공하리라 기대한다. In this study, single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) were synthesized on a Fe/$Al_2O_3$/Si layer by thermal chemical vapor deposition. Metallic SWCNTs were selectively removed by microwave irradiation. Electrical and structural characterizations of the SWCNTs clearly revealed that the metallic SWCNTs were almost removed by microwave irradiation for 120 sec. The remained semiconducting SWCNTs with a high crystalline structure were obtained over 95%. This method would provide useful information for applications to SWCNTs-based field effect transistors and multifaceted nanoelectronics.

Photoluminescence(PL), photostimulated luminescence(PSL) and thermoluminescence(TL) in $SrC1_2$:$Eu^{2+}$ , $Na^{+}$ phosphor powder were measured, and the activation energies(trap depth) of traps associated with TL and PSL were investigated. The PL and PSL in the studied sample is due to the $4f^{6}$ 5d\longrightarrow$4f^{7}$transition of $Eu^{ 2+}$. TL glow curve is single peak, and its peak temperature is about 377.2 K. The PL, PSL and TL emission spectra of the phosphors are located in the range of 380∼440 nm, peaking at 408 nm. The activation energy of the PSL trapping center is 0.78 eV and that of the TL trapping center is 0.79 eV. We, thus, suggest that the trapping centers giving rise to the PSL are identical to those giving rise to the TL.

This study investigated the potential effects of amitraz on the pre- and postnatal development, behavior, and reproductive performance of offspring of parent rats given amitraz during pre-mating, gestation, and lactation. The test chemical was administered via the drinking water containing 0, 40, 120, and 360 ppm to male rats from 2 weeks before mating to the end of 14-day mating period and to females from 2 weeks before mating, throughout mating, gestation and lactation up to weaning. Based on fluid consumption, the male rats received an average of $0,\;5.7{\pm}1.33,\;13.2{\pm}2.08,$ and $35.8{\pm}3.42$ mg/kg/day amitraz, and the female rats received an average of $0,8.7{\pm}4.42,\;20.1{\pm}9.60,\;and\;47.6{\pm}22.38$ mg/kg/day amitraz, respectively. At 360 ppm, an increase in the incidence of abnormal clinical signs, a suppression in the body weight gain, a decrease in the food consumption and litter size, an increase in the post-implantation loss, and a decrease in the seminal vesicle weight were observed in the parent animals. In addition, a suppression in the body weight gain, a decrease in the grip strength, a delay in the negative geotaxis, an increase in the pre- and post-implantation loss, and a decrease in the number of live embryos were observed in the offspring. At 120 ppm, suppressed body weight gain and reduced food consumption were observed in the parent rats. Suppressed body weight gain and decreased grip strength were also observed in the offspring. There were no signs of either reproductive or developmental toxicity at 40 ppm. Under these experimental conditions, the no-observed-adverse-effect level of amitraz for parent rats and their offspring was estimated to be 40 ppm in rats.
소프트웨어 정의 라디오를 이용한 전이중 통신 시스템의 연구

본 논문에서는 이동성이 전이중 라디오의 성능에 미치는 영향을 분석한다. 이를 위해 배터리로 전원 공급이 가능하여 이동환경에서 동작이 가능한 소프트웨어 정의 라디오를 사용하여 전이중 라디오 원형을 구현하였다. 또한 다중 안테나 기반 전이중 라디오와 서큘레이터기반 전이중 라디오를 모두 고려하여 두 경우의 간섭 제거 성능을 비교하였다. 끝으로 이동성이 전이중 라디오 시스템의 자기간섭제거 성능에 부정적인 영향을 미침을 보이고, 자기간섭제거 필터의 갱신주기가 성능에 미치는 영향을 분석한다. 특히 갱신주기를 약 1000배 줄였을 때, 자기 간섭의 전력이 서큘레이터 기반 전이중 라디오는 5.7dB 두 안테나 기반 전이중 라디오는 3.1dB 감소하는 결과를 얻었다. In this paper, we analyze the effect of mobility on the performance of full-duplex radio. For this, we implement a full-duplex radio prototype using a software-defined radio that is powered by a battery and can thus function in mobile environments. In addition, we compare the performance of self-interference cancellation schemes for two cases considering multi-antenna based full duplex radio and circulator based full duplex radio, respectively. Finally, we show a negative effect of mobility on the self-interference cancellation performance of the full-duplex radio system, and analyze the effect of the update period of the self-interference cancellation filter on the performance. In particular, when the update period is reduced by about 1000 times, the power of self-interference is reduced by 5.7dB for circulator-based full-duplex radio and 3.1dB for both antenna-based full-duplex radio.

In this study, we attempted to recycle the fly ash as a mullite whisker with addition of $Al_{2}O_{3}$ to obtain the high yield of mullite whisker. During the reaction process, mullite whisker was formed with the reaction of amorphous $\alpha$-Cristobalite and Anorthite above $1350^{\circ}C$. With increasing the heat treatment temperature and time, the mean length and aspect ratio of mullite whiskers was gradually increased.
Muscle Stiffness and Elasticity Related to Physical Therapeutic Modalities

The purpose of this study was to quantitatively assess treatment effect of physical therapy on experimentally-induced masseter muscle fatigue by two parameters of muscle stiffness and elasticity. Three physical therapeutic modalities inducing electroacupunture stimulation therapy(EAST), Microwave diathermy and low-level laser therapy(LLLT) were compared. 10 healthy volunteers with normal occlusion (mean age of $26.3{\pm}1.16$ years, M:F=1:1) were participated in this study. All subjects were asked to chew gum on the right side until they felt pain(more and VAS 5 (0 to 10)) and their masseter muscles were examined with a tactile sensor in order to evaluate changes of stiffness and elasticity according to gum chewing and three physical therapeutic modalities. Subjective discomfort or pain was self-estimated by VAS as well. Unilateral gum chewing increased stiffness and decreased elasticity only on the chewing side but VAS increased on the both sides(p<0.05). EAST or Microwave diathermy greatly decreased stiffness and VAS and increased elasticity(p<0.05) but LLLT did not exhibit significant difference. From the results of this study, it is concluded that both EAST and Microwave diathermy have favorable effect on stiffness and elasticity of muscles and pain relief while effect of LLLT is not reliable. In addition, experimental unilateral gum chewing compromises stiffness and elasticity of masseter muscles only the chewing side while subjective discomfort or pain can be felt on the both sides.
Lipopolysaccharide로 유발된 HepG2 세포의 염증반응에 대한 가감청간탕의 효과에 대한 연구

Objective : The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of Gagamchunggan-tang on anti-inflammation reaction with lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced HepG2 cell. Method : We examined the effects of the Gagamchunggan-tang, a traditional drug for liver inflammation, on the process of lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced nuclear factor-${\kappa}Bp65(NF-{\kappa}Bp65)$ activation in HepG2 cell. SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, Immunofluorescence staining were studied. Results : Immunoblot analysis showed that the level of nucleic $NF-{\kappa}Bp65$ was rapidly up-regulated and cytosolic inhibitory $I-{\kappa}B{\alpha}$ was down-regulated by LPS challenge. While Gagamchunggan-tang inhibited an increase of $NF-{\kappa}Bp65$ and degradation of $I-{\kappa}B{\alpha}$ in HepG2 cell. Besides LPS-induced expression of a group of genes, such as tumor necrosis factor-${\alpha}(TNF-{\alpha})$, inducible nitric oxide synthase(iNOS) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), are repressed by Gagamchunggan-tang. It may be concluded that Gagamchunggan-tang attenuates the progress of LPS-induced inflammation by reduction of $NF-{\kappa}Bp65$ activation. Conclusion : The Gagamchunggan-tang would be useful as a therapeutic agent for endotoxin-induced liver disease.
