The evaluation of the heating, cooling degree-day and it's number of days in the heating and cooling season were carried out based on the fundamental materials of the daily air-temperature from Jan. 1968 to Dec. 1977 which had been observed in the 24 meteorological observations in Korea. The obtained results were summarized as follows: (1) In the cases of base temperature 18,16,14,12,10, and 5℃, the annual mean heating degree-day(℃-day) were evaluated as HD′_(18-18)≒2570, HD′_(16-16)≒2120, HD′_(14-14)≒1710, HD′_(12-12)≒1360, HD′_(10-10)≒1040 and HD′_(5-5)≒420 (see, Table-1). (2) In the cases of base temperature 24℃, the annual mean cooling degree day were evaluated about CD′_(24-24)≒74℃ day (see, Table-1). (3) In the cases of HD′_(18-18), HD′_(16-16), HD′_(14-14), HD′_(12-12), HD′_(10-10), HD′_(5-5) and CD′_(24-24), the annual mean heating and cooling day in the season were distributed about 238, 210, 182, 166, 146, 107 and 45 days. (4) Monthly mean heating and cooling degree-day (℃-day) were shown as Table-2. (5) The isolines of the distributed mean heating and cooling degree-day according to the base temperature were plotted as shown Fig. (1)∼(7).

돈육 저지방 모델 소시지의 제조 시 첨가한 아질산나트륨의 함량이 냉장 저장 중 pH, 잔존 아질산나트륨 잔류량 및 색도에 미치는 영향

Purpose: This study examined the pH, residual levels of sodium nitrite (NaNO2), and color values of low-fat pork model sausages (LFPMS) with various ingoing levels of sodium nitrite during three weeks of refrigerated storage. Methods: LFPMSs were prepared with four different ingoing levels of NaNO2 (N50-50 ppm NaNO2; N100-100 ppm NaNO2; N150-150 ppm NaNO2; N200-200 ppm NaNO2), and the pH, residual levels of sodium nitrite (NaNO2), and color values (L*, a*, b*) during storage were measured. Results: The pH values of N150 and N200 were higher than those of N100 (p<0.05). The ingoing levels of NaNO2 in LFPMS did not affect the lightness (L*). Among the treatments, the redness (a*) value of N200 and N50 was highest and lowest, respectively (p<0.05). The yellowness (b*) of N50 and N200 was the lowest and highest among the treatments, respectively (p<0.05). In addition, the b* value of LFPMS decreased during the storage days. The residual levels of nitrite were proportional to the ingoing levels of NaNO2, in decreasing order of N200, N150, N100 and N50 (p<0.05). Conclusion: An increase in the ingoing levels of nitrite increased the level of nitrite during early storage. As a result, the residual levels of nitrite depend on the ingoing levels of sodium nitrite and storage period.
Formation and Characterization of Manganese Silicide on Si(111) and Si(100) Substrates

The electronic structure of the interface formation at Mn/Si at room temperature (RT) and the growth of manganese silicide were studied by using photoemission spectroscopy (PES) and X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) with synchrotron radiation. The Mn coverage dependence of the Si 2p and the Mn 3p core-level spectra revealed that the growth of Mn on Si(111)-7 × 7 at RT started in a layer-by-layer growth at a coverage of less than 0.5 ML (monolayer). Mn 2p XAS spectra also showed no reaction between Mn and Si at RT. Three thin manganese silicide samples were prepared by using solid phase epitaxy at 610 C (MSS), reactive deposition epitaxy at 290 C for Si(111) and at 350 C for Si(100) (MSR) and post annealing the MSR sample at 610 C (MSP) on the Si(111) and the Si(100) substrates. The LOW ENERGY ELECTRON DIFFRACTION (LEED) pattern and the fine structure in the Mn 2p3/2 XAS spectra showed that the phases of the MSS, the MSR, and the MSP samples were the same. Emissions at the Fermi energy in the valence-band (VB) PES spectra and the line shape of Si 2p core-level photoemission spectra also showed the formation of metallic MnSi.
