        General Anesthesia for a Patient with GNEMyopathy: a case report

        GNE, or bifunctional UDP-N-acetylglucosamine 2-epimerase/N-acetylmannosamine kinase, myopathy presents withs ymptoms of foot drop, followed by lower and upper extremity muscle weaknesses and sparing of the quadriceps. Myopathies usually increase the risks of complications related to general anesthesia. The anesthetic management of patientsw ith GNEmyopathy has not been previously reported. Herein, we report a case of GNEmyopathy in a 37-year-old womana nd discuss anesthetic considerations for elective laparoscopic hysterectomy and bilateral salpingectomy, focusing on thep ostoperative airway management. We avoided administering neuromuscular-blocking agents and instead used a laryngeal mask airway. The anesthetic management combining the use of a laryngeal mask airway and desflurane without neuromuscular-blocking agents provided sufficient abdominal and diaphragmatic muscle relaxations for sustaining the pneumoperitoneum for lap aroscopic surgery.

        일본어 오노마토페의 형태적 고찰

        Vocabulary acquisition is important in learning of Japanese. Among them, acquisition of Onomatopoeia is known to play a very important role in speaking Japanese. However, to acquire Onomatopoeia is considered to be the hardest part to Japanese learners due to its massive amounts and various kinds. In this study, based on the「擬音語?擬態語の一?」of『Japanese education dictionary』, ‘morphological classification’ of Onomatopoeia was examined by form and distribution, and diversity of Onomatopoeia form was examined by dividing ‘morphological features’ into repetitive form and expansion form. The most representative form in Onomatopoeia is repetitive form such as ABAB form and a significant factor affecting to the expansion form is adding the note of「っ」「ん」「り」. It was seen that extension was occurred by「repeat」「a voiced and p-sound」. These extension elements can be produced in various forms depending on the adding location and can be vanished by time by time or absorbed into a different form. Because the expansion of each element implies the distinctive connotation, it was confirmed that the subtle nuances can be occurred by the extension of element while maintaining the basic meaning. Onomatopoeia is the extended vocabulary with rules which has a systematic structure although it displays the morphological diversity. Therefore, if the learners are to identify and recognize these rules they are able to infer its meaning more easily when faced with a new vocabulary and it will make Onomatopoeia acquisition more efficient.

        간호학생의 감정노동이 소진에 미치는 영향: 감성지능의 조절효과

        Purpose: This study was done to: (a) identify levels of emotional labor that nursing students perceived when caring for patients in the hospital during their nursing practicum, (b) examine the impact of emotional labor on burnout, and (c) identify the possible moderating effect of emotional intelligence on the relationship between emotional labor and burnout for nursing students. Methods: A descriptive study was conducted with a sample of 171 students enrolled in a 4-year undergraduate nursing program in one university located in Korea, and had a practicum experience at least one semester before the study began. Data were collected with self-report questionnaire, and analyzed with SPSS 21.0 program, using hierarchical multiple regression. Results: Mean score for emotional labor was 3.17 with a range of 1 to 5. For nursing students, emotional labor significantly affected burnout in the nursing practicum (F=15.763, p<.001), and explained 30.1% of the variance in burnout. The degree of emotional intelligence acted as a moderator on the relationship between emotional labor and burnout at significant level (F=15.345, p<.001). Conclusion: This research shows that nurse managers as well as nurse educators need to pay attention to nursing students' emotional labor during nursing practicum in the care units of hospitals.

        일본어 오노마토페 교육현황 분석

        본 연구는 일본어 교육현장에서의 오노마토페 교육현황을 살펴보기 위한 것이다. 중등학교(중학교·고등학교)와 대학교에서 일본어 교수자와 학습자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여, 오노마토페가 어떻게 지도·학습되고 필요로 인식하는지에 대하여 조사하였다. 조사결과에 따르면 교수자는 학교 교육에서 오노마토페를 적극적으로 다루고 있지 않지만, 지도의 필요성에 대해서는 높게 인식하고 있다는 것을 확인하였다. 학습자도 학습 경험이 없거나 오노마노테를 인식하지 못하는 경우가 많았으나, 학습의 필요성에 있어서는 긍정적인 반응을 보였다. 그리고, 교수자·학습자 모두 적절한 지도·학습 시기로 ‘초급후반’을 지적하고 있으나 보다 이른 시기인 ‘입문기∼초급’ 단계에서의 교육도 희망하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 교수자·학습자는 모두 오노마토페 사용의 유용함과 필요성을 실감하고 있으나, 이에 대응하는 오노마토페 교육은 현실 적으로 미흡한 실정이다. 따라서, 교육현장에서의 보다 적극적인 오노마토페 교육이 시행되어져야 하며, 오노마토페의 특징을 살린 체계적인 교육방안을 마련해야 할 것이다. This study aims to examine the use of Onomatopoeia in Japanese education. A research survey was conducted by learners and Instructors in several secondary schools and universities. This survey focuses on how Onomatopoeia is taught and learned in the class, and how Onomatopoeia is recognized as necessary. According to results, even though instructors did not actively deal with the Onomatopoeia in class it was sure that the need for guidance were highly recognized. Learners has rarely recognized the Onomatopoeia but they showed a positive reaction in need of learning. Instructors and learners wanted the Onomatopoeia treated in the early beginning stage but some of them wanted it teated at earlier stage. Although both instructors and learners are aware of the need and usefulness in the use of Onomatopoeia, Onomatopoeia education is not sufficient in reality. Therefore, Onomatopoeia education should be actively practised in the class and pragmatic education approach to highlight the advantage of Onomatopoeia is necessary.

        The Palimpsestic City as Aby Warburg’s Mnemosyne and Its Influence on Korean Contemporary Artworks

        This paper considered city as a palimpsest, and at the same time as aMnemosyne and archive. Mnemosyne has been acknowledged as heterogeneitythan linearity, by extension, been activized as an archive operating thereconfiguration of our history. In terms of Mnemosyne, city is close to us,but at the same time, is far different from reality. It is close, because itis based on where we live. But at the same time, it is far different, causeit has a potential to reconstruct our reality. In this context, this studynoticed recent artistic practices in Korea focusing Seoul as an archive,and tried to find alternative way of reading cities. Many artworksexpressed the process of forget, memorize and reconstruct the memoriesof Seoul, rather than just memorize them. These memories presentvarious visual variations by being expanded to social memories, recreatedand ambiguously juxtaposed with diverse layers of realities.

        일본어 어휘교육에 있어서의 오노마토페 교육

        오노마토페는 일본어 어휘 교육에 있어서 중요한 항목 중에 하나이다. 하지만, 외국인의 입장에서 습득하기 어려운 부분이며, 일본어 교육현장에서 소홀히 다루어지고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 오노마토페가 일반 어휘와 다르게 다양한 활용이 가능한 어휘로서 어휘교육에 있어서 중요한 항목으로 위치하고 있음을 재확인하였다. 그리고, 일본어 교육현장에서 교수자(중등학교⋅대학교)를 대상으로 한 설문조사를 통하여, 오노마토페가 어떻게 지도되고 있는지에 대한 다양한 의견을 분석하였다. 이에 따라 오노마토페 교수법으로 그림⋅영상과 같은 시각과 청각을 이용한 교수법이 가장 많음을 알 수 있었으며, 어휘 교육체재의 개선과 학습자 니즈에 따른 교육방법도 필요하다는 의견을 살펴볼 수 있었다. 나아가, 이러한 교수법을 일본어 <어휘교육 방법>의 각 항목에 적용시켜 오노마토페 지도시 유의점을 검토하였다. 이를 통하여 오노마토페는 각각이 지니는 어휘의 특징과 학습자가 수용할 수 있는 일본어 능력에 따라 오노마토페 지도법이 달라져야 한다는 것을 명백히 알 수 있었다. Onomatopoeia is one of the important parts in Japanese vocabulary education. However, it is not only difficult for Koreans to study Onomatopoeia; but also, Onomatopoeia is negligently taught in the field of Japanese education in Korea. This research reconfirms that Onomatopoeia is an important item in lexical education and can be used in various ways unlike general vocabulary. To examine different and diverse opinions on how Onomatopoeia is taught in class situations, this research carried out a survey targeting Japanese teachers in high schools and universities. The result of analysis of the survey showed that visual or auditory teaching methods of Onomatopoeia have wide usage. It, also, revealed that the Japanese teachers in high schools and universities are conscious of the necessity of instruction methods according to the need of the learners and feel keenly that the system of vocabulary education has to be improved. These Onomatopoeia teaching methods were applied to the items of vocabulary education and I examined thoroughly the matters to be attended to when Onomatopoeia is taught. Upon further review, Onomatopoeia must be taught in various ways depending on characteristics of each vocabulary and skills that are acceptable to all Japanese learners in various levels.

        일본어 교육에 있어서의 오노마토페 사용 실태 조사 -일본어 관련 시험과의 비교를 통하여

        A Study on the use of Onomatopoeia in Japanese-language education - Based on comparing Japanese-language examinations - In this study, use of onomatopoeia was examined through the Japanese textbook in middle and high schools as well as Japanese teaching materials in universities in order to investigate the onomatopoeia in Japanese-language education. And this thesis presents the results over the difference of onomatopoeia between textbook in school education and Japanese language exam such as JLPTㆍEJU and JPT. According to the results, it was found that onomatopoeia is rarely used in school education and is partially suggested in the form, usage and meaning. Most are used as Modifying usage so it is not easily recognized as onomatopoeia since it is strongly recognized as the adverb. On the other hand, the use of onomatopoeia in examinations comparing to school education has largely increased and it has been variously used in many ways. We can find that teaching of onomatopoeia to learners who prepare Japanese language examinations is not sufficient in school education. Onomatopoeia is a vocabulary which has a consistent pattern in terms of its morph and meaning and it can help the learners ease the burden of increase of onomatopoeia vocabulary during the middle and advanced levels by the introduction of onomatopoeia from the beginning level. It is therefore necessary to make the learners aware of onomatopoeia in the beginning levels and to educate the learners systematically to understand the onomatopoeia by themselves.
