        젊은성인 엄지발가락가쪽휨증의 발허리발가락관절 각도와 엄지벌림근의 관계

        Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate relationship between the angle of the first metatarsophalangeal joint (1st MPJ) and the dimensions of the abductor hallucis; dorso-plantar (DP) thickness, medio-lateral (ML) width, and cross-sectional area (CSA), in subjects with and without hallux valgus. Methods: Sixty feet, mean (SD) age of 22.5 (2.1) years old, were included in this study (hallux valgus = 30; control = 30). An X-ray device was used for measurement of the angle of the 1st MPJ, and an ultrasound system was used for determination of mean (SD) DP thickness, ML width, and CSA of the abductor hallucis muscle in each foot from three trials. Results: The results showed the DP thickness, ML width, and CSA of the abductor hallucis did not differ significantly between subjects with and without hallux valgus. In addition, the correlations between the angle of the 1st MPJ and DP thickness, ML width, and CSA of the abductor hallucis showed poor correlation (Pearson r=-0.09, -0.20, and -0.18, respectively). Conclusion: Based on these findings, we speculate that morphological changes to the abductor hallucis muscle cannot be representative of the angle of the 1st MPJ, and also cannot be used in differentiation between subjects with and without hallux valgus.

        엄지발가락가쪽휨증의 발가락벌리기 운동 시 초음파 영상을 이용한 시각적 피드백의 효과

        Background: The toe-spread-out (TSO) exercise has been introduced as a strengthening exercise for the abductor hallucis muscle in subjects with hallux valgus. Visual biofeedback using ultrasound imaging during exercise, may increase the ability to selectively contract the abductor hallucis muscle, compared with exercise alone. Objects: The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of ultrasound imaging visual feedback during the TSO exercise with respect to its influence on the angle of the first metatarsophalangeal joint (1st MPJ) and the cross-sectional area (CSA) of the abductor hallucis muscle in subjects with hallux valgus. Methods: Twenty-five healthy young subjects with a mean average age of 22.5 years, and a standard deviation of 2.3 years, were recruited for this study. Hallux valgus was defined as an angles greater than 15° angle of 1st MPJ. Goniometric measurement was used to determine the angle of 1st MPJ. In addition, an ultrasound system was used to collect the CSA of the abductor hallucis muscle in each foot. The angle of the 1st MPJ and CSA of the abductor hallucis were measured in three positions; the resting position, during TSO exercise, and during TSO exercise in conjunction with real-time ultrasound imaging feedback. All data analyzed using a repeated analysis of variance with Bonferroni correction in order to compare the dependent variables in all three positions. Statistical level of significance was set up as p<.05. Results: The angle of the 1st MPJ was noted to be significantly reduced and the CSA of the abductor hallucis to be significantly greater during TSO exercise used in conjunction with ultrasound imaging visual feedback, compared to when the values were recorded during TSO exercise alone (p<.05). Conclusion: Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the application of ultrasound imaging visual feedback during TSO exercise is more effective in contracting selectively the abductor hallucis than the use of exercise alone.

        This paper proposes a simple algorithm for compensating network delays/packet loss can be occurred in an electronic throttle system. Since the proposed algorithm is based on the Lagrange Polynomial curve fitting, it requires no precise model of the process in which the actuator is driving. The effectiveness of the proposed method is evaluated by a simulation applied to a throttle-by-wire system.

        제10회 밴쿠버 장애인동계올림픽 참가 대한민국선수의 스포츠상해 실태 분석

        The purpose of this study was to analyze sports injuries(SI) in Korean athletes during the 10th Vancouver winter paralympics(WP), and to provide the essential information for Korea delegation against the next WP Detailed information on SI was collected by sports medical team during the 10th WP with prospective surveillance study. Total 40 injuries were reported as musculoskeletal disorders(MD). Among them, 16 injuries were acute, and 24 injuries were chronic with previous history. In acute MD, the highest prevalent event, type, and region were ice sledge hochey, joint sprain, and upper limbs, respectively. In chronic MD, the highest prevalent event, type, and region were wheelchair curling, arthrodynia, shoulder, respectively. In addition, 13 injuries were reported as internal diseases and infection. Incidence rate(1000AE) and incidence proportion were 332.4 and 0.53 in acute MD, 461.0 and 0.68 in chronic MD, and 241.1 and 0.44 in internal diseases and infection on the average, respectively. As a result, our data indicated the characteristics and frequency, incidence rate, incidence proportion of SI during the loth WP, so these results could provide the effective information for prevention SI for disabled athletes. In conclusion it is suggested that team-based education for SI prevention and exercise rehabilitation program should be provided for disabled athletes.

        중년여성의 삶과 신체형 여가활동 의미탐색

        The purpose of this study is to explore meaning of middle-aged women`s participant in recreational physical activities. Current researches has focused aspect of health and physical change through physical activities of middle-aged women. Participant in recreational physical activities have diverse effects to women`s life. Through narrative inquiry, the effects are analyzed definitely. Narrative inquiry has considered the best research method to talk about women`s life more deeply. Indepth-interview, observation, and self-narrative were significant materials of this research. Through five steps process: attending, telling, transcribing, analyzing, reading. Every women`s experienced stories was analysed meaningfully. The narrative of middle-aged women suggests the meaning of participant in recreational physical activities as follows: First, participant in recreational physical activities means new challenge, recreative activities for leisure time and finding oneself to middle-aged women. Second, the meaning of participant is more valuable keeping their health and it become a path of finding oneself. Third, as the result of participant in recreational physical activities they recover their self confidence internally and externally.

        산란계에 천연 항산화원으로서 가시오갈피 및 두충 급여가 체내 항산화 작용에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 하이라인 브라운 실용 산란계(20주령)를 이용하여 대조군 및 항산화원으로 가시오갈피잎 및 두충잎을 각각 사료 급여량 대비 0.5%와 1.0%를 첨가하여 모두 5군을 설정하여 산란초기에 10주 동안 사양하여 혈액내 항산화력 및 체조직의 항산화 작용에 미치는 영향을 비교 분석하였다. 항산화 생리 활성 물질의 급여(가시오갈피, 두충) 및 처리 수준(0.5%:1.0%)간에 체중 및 증체량의 변화는 없었다. 한편, 혈액내 항산화력은 식물성 항산화 물질 급여군에서 전체 항산화력(TAS)이 유의적으로(P<0.05) 증가하였으며, 특히 두충 급여군에서 높게(P<0.05) 나타났다. 소장 상피세포내의 GST의 활성도는 대조군보다 두충의 첨가 급여군에서 유의적으로 높게 나타났다(P<0.05). 체 조직에서 항산화 작용을 살펴보면, 먼저 소장 SOD 활성도는 가시오갈피 0.5% 첨가군과 두충 0.5% 첨가군이 대조군보다 유의적으로(P<0.05) 높게 나타났다. 간 조직내 항산화 효소의 활성도를 조사한 결과, 대조군과 가시오갈피 첨가군 간에는 특이적 변화가 없는 것으로 관찰되었다. 결론적으로 산란 초기에 가시오갈피와 두충잎 분말의 급여는 혈액내 항산화력 증진과 소장 점막 조직의 항산화 방어기능에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 사료된다. 본 실험에서 항산력 및 경제성 등을 고려할 경우 0.5% 수준의 식물성 항산화 물질의 급여가 동물체의 건강 증진으로 체내 항상성 유지에 가장 유리하게 적용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. To investigate the effect of dietary supplementation of Acanthopanax senticosus (AS) and Eucommia ulmoides (EU) on antioxidant defense system in laying hens, a total of three hundreds sixty 20-wk old Hyline brown commercial laying hens were assigned to five dietary groups for 10-wk: (1) control diet, (2) control diet supplemented with AS at 0.5%, (3) control diet supplemented with AS at 1.0%, (4) control diet supplemented with EU at 0.5% and (5) control diet supplemented with EU at 1.0%. Total antioxidant status (TAS) in blood and antioxidant enzymes including superoxide dismutase (SOD), gluthathione -S- transferase (GST) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), and lipid peroxidation in the small intestine and liver were measured. There were no changes in body weight for 10-wk dietary treatment. TAS in blood significantly (P<0.05) increased in birds fed the diet supplemented with 1% AS and 0.5 and 1.0% EU compared with those fed control diet. Especially, dietary EU showed much higher (P<0.05) TAS compared with AS. In the antioxidant defense enzymes, GST activity of the small intestine was shown to be significantly (P<0.05) increased in birds fed the diets supplemented with 0.5 and 1.0% EU compared with those fed the control diet. In addition, intestinal SOD activity significantly (P<0.05) increased in birds fed the diets supplemented with 0.5% of AS and EU. However, we could not observe any significant dietary treatment effect of those antioxidant parameters in the liver. In conclusion, dietary supplementation of 0.5% AS and EU in a laying hen diet could be applied as a potential antioxidant source to improves bio-activity of antioxidant and economical aspect in laying hens.

        스포츠여가활동 참여가 청소년의 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of school adaptation for adolescents` leisure sports activity. A total of 144 respondents who were male students in middle schools are participating in leisure sports activity. Collected data were analyzed using frequency analysis, factor analysis, one-way ANOVA, t-test and Pearson`s correlation analysis through SPSS 12.0. Statistical significance level was set α=.05. The results were as follows. 1) There were significant differences in school teacher(p<.05), school friend(p<.01), school class(p<.05) as a school year. 2) There were significant differences in all school adaptation factors-school teacher, school friend, school class, school rules-as a period of participation(p<.001). 3) There were significant differences in school friend and school rules factors as a frequency of participation. 4) The results of correlation analysis showed that duration of participation was correlated with school teacher factor(p<.05) and frequency of participation had a negative correlation with school teacher, school friend, and school class factor(p<.01).
