Crafts is like aliving organism that growing up continuously with human history. Craft is a beautiful instrument made by human hand, a creative art and a cultural inheritance of mankind. Craft is an aesthetic of life that is permissed on ‘use’, it’s practice, and a mirror reflecting the epoch as well. It also is cosilience of science, art and life, and a fruit of communication. Woodcraft activities have an inseparable relationship with our life, and it is a field that needs to be continued because of the value of education for the growing students. The interest in woodworking from childhood to old age is rapidly expanding nowadays, therefore this study has been done to provide images to those who are engaged in woodcraft business and also those who are interested in this field. If we look at the use of wood in our daily life, We can classify it into Architecture, Civil engineering, Furniture, Musical Instrument, Packaging, Recreational instrument, Exercise instrument, Stationery, Daily commodity, and Industrial use. Early golf clubs were almost certainly made entirely of wood with the clubhead and shaft being made of different types, glued together and bound in twine. Ash (Fraxinus spp.) and hazel (Corylus avellana) were used for the shaft, while beech (Fagus spp.), blackthorn (Prunus spinosa), pear (Pyrus communis), and apple (Malus Pumila) were popular for the head. In another sports item, the most frequently used species are hardwoods such as ebony (Diospyros ebenum), hicory (Carya spp.), box wood (Buxus sempervirens), beech (Fagus spp.), myall wood (Acacia pendula), mulga (Acacia aneura), cinamon wood (Cinnamomum camphora Sieb.), coach wood (Ceratopetalum apelatum), hinoki (Chamaecyparis obtusa), silver magnolia (Machilus thunbergii), hacverry (Celtis spp.), rose wood (Dalbergia nigra), ebony (Diospyros ebenum), oak (Quercus spp.), cherry (Prunus spp.), beech (Fagus spp.), bamboo (Phyllostachys bambusoides Siebold & Zucc.), walnut (Juglans regia), maple (Acer palmatum Thunb), bubinga (Guibourtia spp.), birch (Betula) and laminated wood.

        사익(Saik Lee),최영철(Youngchul Choi),정우용(Wooyong Jung),국한(Kookhan Kim),동인(Dongin Kim) 한국암반공학회 2013 터널과지하공간 Vol.23 No.2

Around 70% of Korea is mountainous, an increase in tunnel construction. It’s due to the growing interest of the public for the environment and land required for the road construction is very scarce. During construction of ‘Daedong 1 tunnel’ in the expressway expansion project between Naengjeong and Busan, there are shallow shaft due to this tunnel located in the valley and the shafts are separated, and penetrating location change was inevitable for construction was delayed because of complaint. So, we change the position of the penetrating by applying multi-channel TSP, and conducted a stability analysis. The analysis results showed that there is no problem on the stability of the tunnel. To secure the construction of additional stability, We installed instrument, performed mechanical excavation, added reinforcement at shallow shaft and conducted bench cut.

      • 木質과 製紙 슬러지- 시멘트의 水和反應에 미치는 添加劑의 效果

金思翼,吳正壽 동국대학교 생명자원과학대학 연습림 1993 연습림논문집 Vol.- No.3

This experiment was carried out to investigate the hydration reaction of paper sludge(wood) cement water mixtures by addition of chemical additives (CaCl_2). The percentage of paper sludge per cement weight is 7.5%(Ⅰ), 15%(Ⅱ) and 30%(Ⅲ) respectively. To add calcium chloride(CaCl_2) to the mixture as an accelerator was added paper sludge(wood) cement mixture in the ratio of 0.5, 2.0, 3.5, 5.0, 6.5% to cement weight. The obtained results were as follows: 1. Sludge Ⅰ tooks 8.5 hours to get the highest temperature, 64.3℃, indicating the inhibitory index of hydration, 1.4. So, the chemical additives(CaCl_2) in the ratio of 3.5% to cement weight has brought the most effective reaction of hydration on cement. 2. Sludge Ⅱ tooks 12.2 hours to get the highest temperature, 54.7℃, indicating the inhibitory index of hydration, 4.7. Thus, the reaction of hydration was improved by the chemical additives in the ratio of 3.5% to cement weight. 3. As concerned with the additives, for Korean pine, it tooks 9.4 hours to get the highest temperature, 53.7℃, indicating the inhibitory index of hydration 4.4. Thus, the reaction of hydration was also more improved by the additives in the ratio of 5.0% to cement weight. 4. Italian poplar tooks 9.2 hours to get the highest temperature, 54.2℃, indicating the inhibitory index of hydration, 15.9. Thus the chemical additives in the ratio of 65% to cement weight has brought the most effective reaction of hydration.

        金思翼,金在慶,趙鍾洙,尹承洛 진주산업대학교 1997 산업과학기술연구소보 Vol.- No.4

This study was examined on hydration of bamboo meal-cement composite. In a separate experiment, the heat of hydration generated from the bamboo meal (wood meal and paper sludge) - cement - water system was measured, and Moslemi's inhibitory index was caluated from the results. To improve the hydration of bamboo meal- cement, a series of experiments were conducted with the addition of various chencal additives such as calcium chloride(CaCl_2 ), magnesium chloride( MgCl_2 ) and ammonium chloride (NHCl) The amount of chemical additives was 3% based on the weight of the cement. A scanning electron microscope (SEM) was used to examine the crystallization of cement and bamboo meal ( wood and paper sludge ) - cement composite. These species , Henon bamboo, Moso bamboo and Giant timber bamboo were proved to be highly inhibitory in a series of hydration tests. The addition of chemical additivies, especially calcium chloride and magnesium chloride, appears to enhance compatibility in bamboo meal-cement-water composite.
