        A Risk Management For Prevention of Birds Strike In Urban Parks Close to the Airport

        The Western Seoul Lake Park which lies in Yangcheon Sinwol-dong of Seoul was opened in October 2009. The number and species of birds are expected to continue to increase in the future around the airspace over the Western Seoul Lake Park. The Western Seoul Lake Park is, however, geographically close to the southern end of the Gimpo Airport, and it is located on the approach surface of the obstacle limitation surfaces thereof. For that reason, the probability of bird strikes around the airspace over the Western Seoul Lake Park would be significantly high in comparison with that of bird strikes around the airspace over the other parks near the Gimpo Airport. To assessment of bird strike risk in the Western Seoul Lake Park, we visited four times between 2015 and 2016. And ducks and geese were identified as the most dangerous species. In this paper, we will, through the analysis of the Western Seoul Lake Park case, propose a new approach to bird strike risk management around that Park and also present the improvements of current relevant policies.

        A Multi-Center Educational Research Regarding Breastfeeding for Pediatrics Residents in Korea

        Purpose: Pediatricians have a significant responsibility to educate mothers about the importance of breastfeeding. However, there have been minimal efforts in the courses of resident training in Korea. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the change in knowledge and attitude before and after a 4-week breastfeeding educational intervention among multicenter residents. Methods: Prospective interventional educational research was designed for residents at eight training hospitals in Korea. Institutional reviews were obtained in each hospital. The education curriculum consisted of 14 courses regarding breastfeeding theory and practice. These materials were used to teach pediatric residents for 4 weeks. Knowledge-based tests were administered before the course, and re-tests were administered after the course using different test items of similar levels. Test scores and survey responses were compared before and after the intervention. Results: A total of 73 residents (1st year 20, 2nd year 23, 3rd year 16, and 4th year residents 14) from eight training hospitals completed the intervention. Their average age was 30.3±2.9 years, 17 (23.3%) were male, 22 (30.1%) were married, and eight had more than one child of their own. The mean pre-test score was 61.8±13.4 and the mean post-test score was 78.3±7.5 (P<0.001). The inter-grade difference in the score was significant in the pre-test (P=0.005), but not significant in the post-test (P=0.155). There were more responses of obtaining confidence after the intervention (P<0.001). Conclusion: In our study, pediatric residents showed improvement in their knowledge and confidence level after 4 weeks of the breastfeeding curriculum.       • 도시공원 내 인공습지 도입을 위한 소생태계 사계 연구

        This study is presented the improvement techniques of artificial wetland, one of micro-ecosystem developed to promote bio-diversity in urban areas, through studies of problem in cases. To this end, based on instances found in broad and importance which is development method of ecological park, wetland and micro-ecosystem at cases was proved the effect of techniques. There was no monitoring result and biological lacking about biological form in urban areas in korea. But this study selected the subject which it built up until the present time and it was presumes development possibility site. So this study showed techniques to promote bio-diversity. Key result of this study are as follows. (1) There is the problem of the living environment for creatures. The artificial embankment is necessary to various water depths and considering of the living of aquatic life. It is an important factor for the ability of activity place and prevention of soil erosion for activities of aquatic insects and young fish as well as the growth of aquatic plants. Therefore, as create of the embankment must considering that form of embankment, various grade, soil stability, food-plant and as well as the plant by water to clean . (2) It is necessary for making observation way to protection. Recently, this problem must consider because of ecological park stand out in bold relief. As a result, the ecological park must accept many people to use. Therefore, nature get damaged. Until now, cases are developed deck and way for observation too accessible. So a soil environment has been change for the worse and caused soil compaction. It was menaced the living environment for creature. Therefore, suitable pattern of observation way and areas for protection through the control should be consider to protect of living environment for creatures. (3) Cases presented is lack model of living environment for creature. In such a case of a forward nation, there is studying about ecological model to promote bio-diversity even detailed part. To example, stone-constructed, to placement a log, to built of a grass-roofed house(a small cottage), it is induce a micro-living thing by create porous environment. Therefore, we must continually study for allurement a living thing at the place-constructed in urban areas. (4) Environment education program's development are more earnest are urgent. It is most important works. Therefore, study have to going afterward. The present state of artificial wetland and eco-pond were not development of program. So it is raise the problem. Environment education by placement of guide map or book and a volunteer in the field is a practice way of a narrow means. Also development program is urgent to aware important of environment and development program and training for environmental specialist have to preceding. As a result of development method groping should be sponsored education of special and efficacious.

      • 이중형질전환에 의한 웅성불임유기유전자의 발현억제

        This study was carried out with the purpose of looking into the regulation of gene related to anther development, and applying their promoter to induce male sterile plants and restore their fertility. Progenies of transgenic male sterile tobacco plants containing anther specific promoter (BAN215) and diphteria toxin A (DTx-A) gene were analyzed by danamycin screening and pollen observation. DTx-A gene in male sterile plants was confirmed by PCR with the two synthetic primers, 5'-AACTTTTCTTCGTACCAC-3' and 5'-GCTTTCGCCTGTTCCCAG-3', from the sequence of DTx-A genes. The fragment of 350bp was appeared when the PCR product of 428 bp was digested with Rsal. pDTx-2 containing DTx-A gene was used as a control (DTx). Some of them were double transformed with the construct of BAN215 promoter and antisense DTxA (pKDA215b) to test restoration of fertility.

        고속 퓨리에 변환을 이용한 지문의 분류

        Classification of fingerprints is one of the major subjects on which many researchers have been studying for efficient identification, But fingerprints should be preprocessed in various ways prior to being classified. Factors such as the accuracy and the processing time should be considered in classified. Factors such as the accuracy and the processing time should be considered in classification of fingerprints. In this paper, we propose a method for classifying fingerprints into several frequent patterns. This method consists of two stages. A fingerprint image is first converted to a skeleton form to find out the center. Then it is identified as a member of one of preclassified pattern by the frequency domain feature. Experiments show that the proposed method is quite useful in classifying fingerprints into typical patterns

      • '부유'단감 MA-저장 변색장해의 유형, 발생기작 및 제어

        '부유' 단감은 수확후 숙성과정을 거치면서 저온에서도 빠른 연화 현상을 보이기 때문에 육질 경도를 유지하고 손실을 줄이기 위해 MA 포장 저장이 일반적이다. 그러나 부적합한 MA 환경에서는 다양한 유형의 변색장해가 나타나는데 국내의 논문들을 보면 변색 장해에 대한 명칭이 통일되어 있지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 과피 흑변 현상은 산소 농도가 비교적 높게 유지될 경우에 발생하는 반면, 산소농도가 지나치게 낮고 이산화탄소가 높은 경우에는 과피 및 과육 갈변장해가 나타난다. 이중 갈변장해는 다양한 유형으로 세분화되고 발생부위가 비교적 뚜렷이 구분되는데 이러한 조직 특이성은, 장해현상이 부적합한 MA 환경뿐 아니라 특정 과실조직의 가스확산능이나 대사작용과 관련되고 있음을 암시하고 있다. 그 외에도 재배 요인이 변색 장해 발생과 밀접한 상관성을 보이는 것으로 보고되고 있다. 본 총설에서는 최근 보고된 '부유' 단감의 MA 저장 장해를 유형별로 구분하고, 장해 발생을 유기하는 원인으로 추정되는 저장환경 요인 및 과실 내적 요인을 정리하였다. 한편, 장해유기 원인을 분석함으로써 장해 발생을 제어할 수 있는 기술을 제시하였다. 'Fuyu' persimmon (Diospyros kaki) fruit undergo ripening stage after harvest with rapid flesh softening even at low temperature, thus fruits are usually stored in modified atmosphere (MA) packages to maintain flesh firmness and to reduce storage losses. Under undesirable MA conditions, however, the fruits show MA-related disorders such as surface discoloration and flesh browning. Despite a lot of researches on the disorders, even nomenclature has not been clearly established, yet. Surface blackening occurs when oxygen level stayed high, whereas surface and flesh browning seems to occur at low oxygen level inside MA packages. Fruit portion-specific incidence of different symptoms implies that internal factors such as fruit resistance to gas diffusion and metabolic rates are closely related to the incidence of the injury. Other orchard factors are also reported to be related with the incidence of the disorders. In the present review, newly reported disorder symptoms and speculative causes of the disorder were summarized. On the basis of causal factors, technological approaches to prevent the disorder were also suggested.

        An infra-red absorption which is characteristics to the novolac resin is occurred at 1,000 ??, and this peak is useful for the identification of novolac phenol resin from resolic phenol resin. The relative intensities of infra-red absorption peaks at 813.01 and 751.88 ?? of novolac and resolic phenol resin samples did not show the significant changes for 60 min. at 140℃ and 120℃, but they were changed as a function of heat-treated time from 60 min. thereafter.

      • 濟州地方에서 播種期가 풋마늘의 生育 및 收量에 미치는 影響

        This study was carried out to investigate the proper planting date and variety for early production of garlic in Cheju Island. The results obtained are as follows: 1) The emergence rate was accelerated when garlic was planted in August or later. Days to emergence increased when planted Septenber or later. 2) Jabong garlic showed the tallest plant height and the earlier the planting date (20 July), the plant height and leaf sheath length increased but the later the planting date (20 September), the height and sheatdh decreased. 3)There was no big differnce in leaf number among the vaieties and planting date. 4)The leafy garlic variety which can be harvested from Decenber to January was Jabong garlic,Namdo was Fevuary and Chejujaerae was March. 5)On Cheju Island, leafy garlic could be planted from July 20 to early September.

        This paper proposes a model for variable-speed wind turbine using the real wind data, and a reactive power compensator for the interconnected wind power system using a new 36-pulse voltage source converter. The propose wind turbine model was developed through more practical approach considering wind characteristic, blade characteristic and blade inertia compensation. The proposed reactive-power compensator was developed using a new 36-pulse voltage source converter with DC auxiliary circuit. The operational feasibility of proposed wind turbine and reactive-power compensator were verified by computer simulations with PSCAD/EMTDC and experimental works with 2kVA hardware model
