In recent years, gonorrhea has been pandemic and remains one of the most common STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of Penicillinase Producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae(PPNG), we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the Venereal Disease Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by menas of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. In 1998, 93 strians of N. genorrhoeae were isolated, among which 60(64.5%) were PPNG. The prevalence of PPNG in Seoul, which had been decreased to 39% in 1996 after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, is increased to 64.5% in 1998.

도로교통시설물 관리 하자와 법적 책임에 관한 연구 : 판례를 중심으로 Focus on the Judicial Precedent

우리나라의 경우 외국과 달리 도로교통시설물의 설치·관리의 하자에 대한 책임에 대하여 도로이용자는 물론 도로관리자 양측 모두 소극적인 실정이다. 그러나 국민의 권리의식 향상 등으로 이와 관련된 행정책임 관련 소송은 급격히 증가될 것으로 예상된다 이와 같은 배경에서 본 연구는 도로교통시설물의 설치·관리의 하자에 관한 국내·외 판례를 탐색적 방법으로 조사·분석하여 하자(瑕疵)의 판단기준을 제시함으로써 도로이용자나 도로관리청 양측의 예측가능성을 높이고 책임한계를 명확히 하고 도로의 하자로 인한 교통사고를 예방함을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구에서는 여러 가지 한계 때문에 개별적인 도로교통시설물의 하자 유형별 그 판단기준을 도출하는 대신 모든 도로교통시설물의 하자가 가지고 있는 공통적인 하자판단 요소에 대해 판례를 중심으로 분석하였다. 구체적으로는 하자의 유형을 교통안전시설물, 노면관리, 도로의 결손, 공사구간, 갓길의 관리 등으로 나누어 각각의 판례를 조사하고 이를 종합하여 최소한의 하자 판단기준을 제시하였다. In our country, both road user and road manager are passive with respect to a duty for a certain defect in an installation and management of a road traffic facility, differently from other foreign countries. However, it is expected that an administration duty related suit will be sharply increased based on an enhancement of a right awareness of people. Therefore, it is an object of this research to search and analyze a local and foreign judicial precedent concerning any defects in an installation and management of a road traffic facility based on a search method and to increase a prediction possibility for both road user and road managing organ by suggesting a judgment reference with respect to any defects and to clarify a duty limit, for thereby preventing a certain traffic accident due to a defect in road. In this research, a judicial precedent is intensively analyzed with respect to a common defect judgment element of a defect of a road traffic facility, instead of extracting a type based judgment reference of a separate road traffic facility due to various limits. In detail, the judicial precedents are searched in such a manner that the types of the defects are divided into a traffic safety facility, a road surface management, a defect in a road, a construction period, and a management of side road, and a minimum defect judgment reference is suggested by integrating the above matters.

This paper presents a simple model of power struggle. We assume that two individuals (or groups) are identical except their marginal costs of power build-up. We provide the conditions that produce stable and instable equilibrium. The main factor that determines the existence of an instable equilibrium is the difference in marginal cost of power build-up between two individuals. Since the nature of an instable equilibrium insinuates the unpredictability of outcomes, two parties may take actions to avoid such an outcome: (1) Two parties never get together in the first place (segregation) and consume their own endowments separately. (2) A party with low marginal cost may induce to lower the other's marginal cost (in form of subsidy) to support a stable outcome.

農家副業으로서의 畜産現況과 그 改善方案에 關한 硏究

Recently, there have been much corncerns about the strategies which can reasonably increase farm income at the average farm level. In other words, as a result of third-term Five Year Economic Development Plan there was a remarkable gap between farm household and non-farm household incomes. Therefore, various policy tasks to eliminate this unbalanced income growth are currently being implemented. This study was carried out to identify the situation of livestock farming at general farm level, regarded as one of income generation strategies for the farm sector. Some results of the study can be summarized as follows: First of all, it was found that a group of farms which raise a small size of animals like Korean cattle, hog, and various poultry gave higher resource bases as compared with that of non-livestock farms. Secondly, it was also recognized that both farm and farm household income levels of small-scale livestock farms were higher than those of non-livestock farm group within the same region, specifically as much as approximately ￦200,000. Thirdly, it was known that the average size of animal raising per household in 0.9 head of cattle, 0.8 head of hog, and 34 lyers of poultry, respectively. To the end, according to the farm disposal practices of major by-products, only about 18 percent of total rice straws produced at individual farms was utilized for the animal raising, and about 45 percent of all the brans available at farms for the livestock enterprise. The rest of straw and brans in regarded as selling at farm level. In this respect, it may be recommended either to increase current size of animals or to expand number of livestock farms.

전통 고추장을 이용한 소스의 제조 및 특성

To develope a sauce using Gochujang which can give foreigners good overall acceptance such as good flavor, taste, color, viscosity and versatility to many foods, we studied on the rheological properties and color control, recipes with spices, herbs, syrup, salt and flavor ingredients and sensory evaluation by Chinese, American and Japanese including Korean. From the survey, the Americans suggested that the proper fellow food of Gochujang sauce be fried chicken, barbecue, hamburger and pizza, and hoped to reflect red color, low viscosity, hot taste, low sweetness, salty and sourness and diet effect. The Chinese suggested pork and fried food as a fellow food with Gochujang sauce and showed similar opinion in the sensory attributes like the Americans except sweetness. When 5% of starch and xanthan gum was added to sauce, respectively, the yield stress of Gochujang sauce showed 33.21 Pa similar to tomato ketchup. In fluidity measured by voistic flow meter, Gochujang sauce showed 6.2 cm/30sec more or less faster than tomato ketchup which showed 4.7 cm/30sec. Gochujang sauce tended to show strong red color and lightness as pH decreased. The pH adjustant and Paprica oleoresin(2%) improved a value to 12.11 and L value to 24.24 similar to tomato kechup(a:12.42, L:25.48). The 1st gochujang sauce product showed 4.50 to 5.75 points in the overall acceptance in the consumer test including foreigners and koreans. However, the 2nd Gochujang sauce product showed 5.90 points and 6.30 points in the pizza and fried chicken, respectively, in the same consumer test. Therefore, we propose that Gochujang can be used for developing sauce products which is most acceptable for various foreigners.

일반배낭문제의 완전다항시간근사해법군의 존재조건

The generalized knapsack problem or gknap is the combinatorial optimization problem of optimizing a nonnegative linear function over the integral hull of the intersection of a polynomially separable 0-1 polytope and a knapsack constraint. The knapsack, the restricted shortest path, and the constrained spanning tree problem are a partial list of gknap. More interestingly, all the problem that are known to have a fully polynomial approximation scheme, or FPTAS are gknap. We establish some necessary and sufficient conditions for a gknap to admit an FPTAS To do so, we recapture the standard scaling and approximate binary search techniques in the framework of gknap. This also enables us to find a weaker sufficient condition than the strong NP-hardness that a gknap does not have an FPTAS. Finally, we apply the conditions to explore the fully polynomial approximability of the constrained spanning problem whose fully polynomial approximability is still open.

Narcolepsy is a sleep disorder characterized by excessive daytime sleepiness, cataplexy, sleep paralysis, hypnagogic hallucinations and disrupted nocturnal sleep. We report a patient with a diagnosis of schizophrenia who was subsequently diagnosed as narcolepsy. A case of a 22-year-old woman with concomitant narcolepsy and psychotic symptoms was discussed from a perspective of the diagnosis and therapeutic challenges, particularly on pharmcological treatment dealing with issues raised by their coexistence.

Creutzfeldt-Jacob병 1례

저자들은 Creutzfeldt-Jacob병 1례를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. 환자는 약 4개월에 걸친 비교적 짧은 기간 동안 중증의 인지 기능 장애와 시각 장애, 보행장애와 하지의 약화, 불수의적 운동 등과 함께 섬망상태에까지 이르게 되어 본원 정신과에 입원하게 되었다. 정신상태 검사상, 반응시간의 지체, 언어장애와 보속증, 시간에 대한 지남력 장애, 주의 집중력 장애, 단기 및 장기 기억 장애, 추상적 사고능력 장애 등의 소견을 보였고, 이러한 증상들은 입원후 치료에도 불구하고 빠르게 악화되었다. 뇌파검사상 지속적인 다발초점성 서파가 모든 전극에서, 특히 우측 전두부에서 현저하게 나타나는 소견을 보였고, 병리조직학적 검사상 대뇌 피질에 신경손실을 동반한 해면화와 신경교 증식증을 나타냈다. 이상의 소견들은 모두 CJD의 진단에 합당하였다. We report a case of Creutzfeldt-Jacob disease and review the relevant literatures. This 56-year-old male patient was admitted to our hospital with a history of rapidly progressing cognitive dysfunction, visual disturbance, gait disturbance, weakness, involuntary movement of lower extremities, and the symptoms of delirium. On mental status examination, he showed psychomotor retardation, speech disturbance, perseveration, disorientation, impairment of short-term and long-term memory, and inability of abstract thinking. He had a rapid downhill course, along with shakiness of trunk, rigidity of the limbs, myoclonus, confusion, and finally, inability to speak or move on the bedside. On electroencephalogram(EEG), continuous multifocal show delta activities were found in all leads, especially in the right frontal areas. Brain biopsy showed, spongiosis with neuronal loss and gliosis noted at the cerebral cortex. These findings were compatible with Creutzfeldt-Jacob disease.

단일 추가제약을 갖는 조합최적화문제를 위한 실용적 완화해법의 계산시간 분석

We perform a computational complexity analysis of a heuristic algorithm proposed in the literature for the combinatorial optimization problems extended with a single side-constraint. This algorithm, although such a view was not given in the original work, is a disguised version of an optimal Lagrangian dual solution technique. It also has been observed to be a very efficient heuristic producing near-optimal solutions for the primal problems in some experiments. Especially, the number of iterations grows sublinearly in terms of the network node size so that the heuristic seems to be particularly suitable for the applications such as routing with semi-real time requirements. The goal of this paper is to establish a polynomial worst-case complexity of the algorithm. In particular, the obtained complexity bound supports the sublinear growth of the required iterations.
