The purpose of this study was to analyze attack frequency and scores of men(16 persons) Taekwondo players who joined the final games(32 games) of the 12th and 13th Taekwondo Championships The results obtained from this analysis were as follows; 1. In case of fin weight class, The total attack skill frequency of men players turned out to be 116 times, scores was 9 points and success rate was 7.76%. 2. In case of fly weight class, The total attack skill frequency of men players turned out to be 112 times, scores was 16 points and success rate was 13.11%. 3. In case of bantam weight class, The total attack skill frequency of men players turned out to be 149 times, scores was 16 points and success rate was 10.76%. 4. In case of feather weight class, The total attack skill frequency of men players turned out to be 101 times, scores was 9 points and success rate was 8.91%. 5. In case of light weight class, The total attack skill frequency of men players turned out to be 82 times, scores was 10 points and success rate was 12.20%. 6. In case of welter class, The total attack skill frequency of men players turned out to be 140 times, scores was 15 points and success rate was 10.71%. 7. In case of middle weight class, The total attack skill frequency of men players turned out to be 97 times, scores was 14 points and success rate was 14.43%. 8. In case of fin weight class, The total attack skill frequency of men players turned out to be 87 times, scores was 12 points and success rate was 13.79%.

Schwann cells(SCs), an important component of the peripheral nervous system, intract with nerous to mutually support growth and replication for the peripheral nerve regentation. Recently, ading SCs to the lumen of guidance channel is widely tried to improve regeneration or to make regeneration possible over otherwise irreparable gaps. however, it is not easy to isolate and multiplicate SCs as much as enough to help the axonal regeneration. For the allogeneic SCs source for tubular nerve guidance, we developed a little bit improved technique of harvesting and multiplicating SCs. by culturing dispersed dorsal root ganglia in specially designed medium with growth factors and serial processing, we repeatedlly generate relatively homogenous SC cultures. Our technique was compared with other methods of literature using immunostaining methods such as GFAP, S100, BDNF and the total SC count assessment at different time interval after primary culture.
Production of the late antigens of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)

목적 : EBV 감염에 대한 추적의 방법 중 환자의 혈청에서 EBV에 대한 항체를 검출하는 방법을 효율적으로 수행하기 위해 대사촉진제를 처리하여 EBV후기 항원을 많이 표출하는 방법을 이용하였다. 방법 : HR-1세포, B95-8세포와 Raji세포에 phorbol myristic acetate(PMA)와 phosphonoacetic acid(PAA)를 처리하여 EBV 후기항원을 생산 또는 억제시키고, EBV감염이 확인된 환자혈청으로 발현을 western bolt으로 검색하였다. 결과 : EBV감염이 확인된 환자혈청의 IgG항체를 이용하여 PMA에 의해 촉진되는 EBV후기 항원, 즉 43 kDa, 39 kDa 및 작은 분자량의 분획의 발현을 확인하였다. 11명의 비인강암 환자 혈청을 반응시켜 본 결과 9명의 환자혈청은 후기항원인 43 kDa와 39 kDa 분획에 IgG항체 반응을 보였다(81.8%). 43 kDa 분획에 대해 IgA 항체반응은 4명에서 양성을 나타냈다(36.4%). 작은 분자 분획에 대해서는 반응의 강약에 차이는 있으나 11명 모두에서 IgG 항체 양성 반응을 보였다(100%). IgA 항체반응은 5명에서 약하게 나타났다(45.5%). 결론 : 확인된 EBV 후기 항원에 대해 항원에 따라 차이는 있지만 비인강암환자에서 IgG 항체반응은 81.8%-100%의 반응을 나타냈고, IgA 항체반응은 36.4-45.5% 의 반응을 보여 EBV 감염과의 연관성을 시사하였다. Background : This study was performed to produce the large amount of the late antigens of EBV with the metabolic activator and to detect the antibodies to the late antigens of EBV in the sera of patients diagnosed as nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Methods : HR-1, B95-8 and Raji cells were treated with phorbol myristic acetate(PMA) and/or phosphonoacetic acid(PAA). Reactivity of the induced EBV antigens were analyzed with the sera of patients by sesten blot. Results : 43, 39 kDa and small molecular weight peptides suggested as the late antigens of EBV. IgG antibody reaction was found on 43 and 39 kDa in 9 patients and the small molecular weight peptide in 11 patients among 11 nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients. IgA antibody reaction was found on the 43 kDa peptide in 4 patients and the small molecular weight peptide in 5 patients among 11 patients. Conclusion : Although the causal relationship of nasopharyngeal carcinoma with EBV infection should be confirmed by the detection with the specific EBV genes in tumor tissue, the serological results using the induced late proteins as antigens suggest that some nasopharyngeal carcinoma in Korea be related with EBV infection.

4-Nonylphenol (NP) is a surfactant that is a well-known and widespread estrogenic endocrine disrupting chemical (EDC). Although it has been known that the affinity of NP to ERs is low, it has been suggested that low-dose NP has toxicity. In the present study, the endocrine disrupting effects on reproduction, and the weight of gonads, epididymis, and uterus were evaluated with the chronic lower-dose NP exposing. This study was designed by following the OECD test guideline 443 and subjected to a complete necropsy. In male, NP had an effect on the weight of the testis and epididymis in both $F_0$ and $F_1$. In females, NP decreased the weight of ovary and uterus in $F_0$ but not in pre-pubertal $F_1$ pubs. Fertility of male and female in $F_0$ or $F_1$ was no related with NP administration. The number of caudal-epididymal sperm by body weight (BW) was not different between groups in both $F_0$ and $F_1$. Besides, the difference of the sperm number between generations was not detected. The number of ovulated oocytes was similar between groups in $F_0$, but significantly decreased in NP 50 group of $F_1$. The litter size and sex ratios of offspring in $F_1$ and $F_2$ were not different. The accumulated mating rate and gestation period were not affected by the NP administration. Those results shows that chronic lower-dose NP administration has an effect of endocrine disruptor on the weight of gonads and epididymis of $F_0$ and $F_1$ but not in reproduction. Based on the results, it is suggested that chronic lower-dose NP exposing causes endocrine disruption in the weight of gonad and epididymis but not in the reproductive ability of next generations.

<P>Engineering phase transitions or finding new polymorphs offers tremendous opportunities for developing functional materials. We reveal that the thermally driven desulfurization of single-crystalline MoS2 samples improves transport properties by reducing the band gap and further induces metallization. Semi-desulfurization, <I>i.e.</I>, removal of the topmost S layer, results in the placement of the exposed Mo layers directly on top of the following sub-layers, together with the bottom S layer of the top layer. This homonuclear (AA) stacking derived from the AA′ stacking of the hexagonal (2H) phase is retained even after further desulfurization of the remaining bottom S layer, <I>i.e.</I>, full desulfurization of the top layer. Our findings fundamentally explain why the 2H phase of TMDs is characterized by AA′ stacking.</P>
Wafer final polishing에 따른 표면 현상과 마멸도에 관한 연구

In recent years, developments in the semiconductor and electronic industries have brought a rapid increase in the use of silicon wafer. For further improvement of the ultra precision surface and flatness of Si wafer necessary to high density ULSI, it is known that final polishing is very important. Polishing one of the important methods in manufacturing of Si wafers and in thinning of completed device wafers. This study will report the evaluation on abrasion of wafer according to variety processing condition, which have major influence on the abrasion and surface defect of Si wafer polishing, were adapted to polishing pressure, machining speed, and the slurry mix ratio. Thus the optimum condition selection of ultra precision Si wafer polishing using load cell and infrared temperature sensor. To evaluate each machining factor, use a data through each sensor. That evaluation of abrasion according to variety condition is selected to use a result data that measure a pressure, machining speed, and the processing time. And optimum condition is selected by this result. By using optimum condition, it achieve a ultra precision mirror like surface.

Ischemic heart disease has emerged as a leading cause of death worldwide. Conventional surgery-based therapy for this disease, especially myocardial infarction, requires additional pharmaceutical agents using heart's endogenous protective mechanism to suppress the progress and recurrence of the disease. Heat shock protein 27 (Hsp27) has been considered to be a potentially therapeutic protein for the treatment of ischemic heart disease due to its anti-apoptotic and protective effects on cardiomyocytes under stressful conditions. Despite the potency of Hsp27, low transduction efficiency, protein instability, and a short half-life in the body have limited its in vivo applications. Protein transduction domains (PTD) were recombinantly fused with Hsp27 to enhance transduction efficiency. Although the intracellular delivery of the PTD-Hsp27 fusion proteins was significantly enhanced compared with Hsp27, the instability and short half-life of the PTD-Hsp27 fusion proteins still need to be improved for in vivo applications. Injectable thermo-reversible gel system was developed and found to be effective in stabilizing and retarding the release of the PTD-Hsp27 fusion proteins both in vitro and in vivo. PTD-Hsp27-loaded thermo-reversible gels were locally administered to the heart muscle in a ligation/reperfused rat myocardial infarction model and the long-term therapeutic efficacy was observed by measuring the inhibition of apoptosis and the area of fibrosis.
