Joaquin Rodrigo의 연가곡 ‘Cuatro Madrigales Amatorios’ 에 대한 연구 분석
19세기 낭만주의 말기에 이르러 여러 유럽 국가들 사이에서는 개인의 감정과 개성 표현을 중시하던 낭만주의 음악어법에 민족의 음악적 특성이 더해져 예술이 점차 더 발전하게 되면서 민족적 특징이나 개성을 음악에 반영하는 민족주의 음악(Nationalism)이 생겨났다. 유럽음악에 새바람을 불러일으킨 민족주의는 근대 음악발전에 크게 기여하였으며, 특히 19세기 말까지 큰 발전이 없었던 스페인 음악에서도 두드러지게 나타났다. 스페인 민족음악은 페드럴(Felipe Pedrell, 1841-1922)을 선두로 알베니스(Issac Albeniz, 1860-1901), 그라나도스(Enrique Granados, 1867-1916), 화야(Manuel de Falla, 1876-1946)를 통하여 계승되었으며, 이들은 스페인 고유의 민속적인 선율과 특색 있는 리듬을 사용, 민족정서를 반영한 다양한 작품들을 작곡하였다. 이로 인하여 스페인 음악은 폭넓게 발전하였으며, 이후 스페인 작곡가들에게 많은 영향을 주었다. 본 논문에서 다룰‘Cuatro Madrigales Amatorios(4개의 사랑의 마드리갈)’을 작곡한 호아퀸 로드리고(Joaquin Rodrigo, 1901-1999) 역시 그들과 더불어 20세기 스페인 현대작곡가로서 스페인 음악사에 있어 중요한 작곡가중 한사람이다. 로드리고의 작곡기법은 스페인 민족주의적 요소와 새로운 음악양식인 신고전주의적 형태를 보이며, 프랑스음악을 적절히 반영한 스페인풍의 음악을 만들고자 노력하였다. 로드리고의 가곡은 스페인의 춤곡, 스페인 전통의 민속 선율과 리듬을 사용하여 화려하고 서정적이며 스페인 시와 고대의 전설을 소재로 한 것들이 많다. 이 논문의 연구대상인 ‘Cuatro Madrigales Amatorios’은 16세기 스페인 민요 네 곡을 로드리고가 편곡하여 Voice와 Piano를 위한 작품으로 1947년에 완성한 모음집이다. 이 모음집은 기교적인 표현과 민속적인 색채가 특징적이며 전통적인 스페인 양식으로 작곡되어 있다. 이 논문에서는 본 연구자가 연주하였던 경험을 토대로 ‘Cuatro Madrigales Amatorios’의 작품을 분석하여 연구하였다. 이 논문을 통하여 스페인 가곡에 관심을 갖는 연주가들이 스페인음악과 로드리고의 작품 ‘Cuatro Madrigales Amatorios’을 바르게 이해하여 연주하는데 어려움이 없고자 한다. 서론에서는 연구목적과 방법을 밝히고, 본론 1장에서는 스페인음악의 역사와 스페인 민속음악의 특징, 그리고 스페인 예술가곡의 발달을 다루고자 한다. 본론 2장에는 로드리고의 생애와 그의 음악적특징에 대해 알아보고 본론 3장에서는 본 연구자가 연주하였던 ‘Cuatro Madrigales Amatorios’을 조성과 형식, 리듬, 선율, 화성, 반주와 성악선율과의 관계, 가사와 음악의 연관성에 대해 연구, 분석한다.

J.RODRIGO의 CUATRO MADRIGALES AMATORIOS의 작품 분석에 따른 스페인 예술 가곡의 특징 고찰
A Spain music is unfamiliar to us rather than German, Italian and French music. Spain is a group having various elements from the viewpoint of race and language. These various elements have much influence on music. A Spain music, also, has the most similar ways with Oriental's. It is mixed with a very old song and new one, a western song and an oriental one in any districts of Spain Folksong. J, Rodrigo, who is respresentative of the characteristic style in a Spain Folk Song, was born at Valencia Sagunto in 1901. At the age of four, a terrible illness, diphtheria, left him without sight. He began his music lesson at 10. Getting acquainted with Falla at 20 had an important effect upon his music. In the Civil War, he stayed mostly in France and Germany. During this times, he won a worldwide reputation because of Concierto do Aranjuez for the guitar and orchestra. It was the landmarks of music history to concert with the guitar and on orchestra in that times. Cuatro Madrigales Amatorios, which was famous for the 16th century Spain folk song of Rodrigo's piano(or orchestra), was an artistic excellent and fascinating song. It was characteristic of folk song style which was cheerful and humorous with Coloratura melody. Also, his song was full with humanity and liveness, and has beautiful melody. A Rodrigo's work are classfied into neoclassim in form, harmony, melody and rhythm. In this thesis, a Spain song, the characterization of its folk song and attentive details when produced are inquired. Rodrigo's life and the work "Cuatro Madrigales Amatorios" are analyzed.
