        수직구조물 후방의 와류현상이 구조물에 설치된 벤투리관의 유체가속 효과에 미치는 영향에 관한 해석 연구

        A convergent-divergent nozzle or venturi nozzle has been used to accelerate the wind speed at its throat. The wind speed at the throat is inversely proportional to its area according to the continuity equation. In this numerical study, an airflow phenomena in the venturi system placed at a vertical structure was investigated to understand the vortex effect occurred at the rearside of the vertical structure on the air speed increment at the throat of the venturi system. For this study, a venturi system sized by 20(m)×20(m)×6(m) was modelled and the area ratio(AR) of the model venturi was 2.86. To see the vortex effect on the air flow acceleration in the venturi throat, two different boundary conditions was defined From the study, it was found that the pressure coefficient(CP) of the venturi system with the vortex formed at the exit of the venturi was about 2.5times of the CP of the venturi system without the vortex effect. The velocity increment rate of the venturi system with the vortex was 61% but 9.5% only at the venturi system without the vortex. Conclusively, it can be said that the venturi system installed in a vertical structure has very positive effect on the flow acceleration at its throat due to the vortex formed at the rear-side of the vertical structure.

        벤투리의 초기 건축에 나타난 맥락적 표현 및 해석에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 벤투리의 초기 건축에 나타나는 맥락적 표현 및 해석 특성을 파악한 것이다. 이를 위해 우선 그의 이론을 통해 맥락적 요소를 추출하였다. 그는 현실적 관점에서 자동차로 대표되는 도시 대로변의 물리적 맥락을 중요시 여겼다 또한 동시대인들이 공유하는 일상적, 대중적 가치를 맥락적 요소로 보았다. 더불어 역사적 건축요소를 자주 인용함으로써 이전 시대와의 시간적 관계를 중요시 여겼다. 마지막으로 그는 동일한 지역에서 시간의 경과에 따라 형성되는 건축물의 용도, 기능 등을 맥락적 요소로 보았다. 위의 4가지 맥락적 요소를 반영하여 나타난 초기 건축의 맥락적 표현 및 해석 특성은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 도시 대로변의 상업적, 물리적 경관을 중요시하는 벤투리의 맥락적 관점은 실제의 건축에서 주변환경의 맥락적 요소들이 건축물의 파사드에 자연스럽게 반영되는 특성으로 나타났다. 둘째, 벤투리의 건축에는 대중에게 익숙한 일상적 가구, 기물 등이 내, 외부공간에 적극적으로 표현되는 맥락적 특성이 나타난다. 특히, 그는 건축물의 파사드에 역사적 요소를 인용함으로써 시간의 흐름과 동시대인들의 공유적 가치를 표현하였다. 이 과정에서 그는 일상생활에서 쉽게 접할 수 있는 이미지들을 익숙하지 않은 상징적 방법을 통해 표현함으로써 전체적인 맥락에 변화를 가져오는 방법을 자주 사용하였다. 셋째, 그의 건축에는 기능, 용도 등의 내적 맥락이 외부 입면과 실내에 드러남으로써 고유의 장소성이 내, 외부공간에 복합적으로 나타나는 특성이 있다. 여기에는 그의 건축관의 토대가 되는 건축의 상징성, 복합적 건축이 많은 영향을 끼친 것으로 나타났다. This study shows contextual expressions and features of interpretation in Venturi’s early architectures. For this study, the first thing to do is extract contextual factors from his theories. With his realistic point of view, he valued a physical context of roadsides in a city represented for a car. He also understood that contemporaries sharing practical and popular values in a context. What’s more, he valued time contexts of former ages often citing historical architectural features. On top of that, he considered building uses, functions or something that could be formed in the same area overtime, contextual factors. With those 4 factors being applied, in his early architectures, contextual features of expression and understanding are as follow. To begin with, in his contextual view, Venturi highlighted commercial and physical views of roadsides in a city, and contextual factors of surroundings of actual buildings were naturally presented in ‘facade'. Next you could find furniture and utensils familiar to people in his architectures, and those things expressing in inter and outer spaces showed contextual features. Using especially historical factors in 'facade' of architectures, he expressed the flow of time and values shared by contemporaries. During that process, With showing images available on the surrounding, using a symbolic way unfamiliar to people, he often used a way that gives changes to the whole context. The third, In his architectures, you could also see their own ‘placeness’ presented complexly in exterior and interior space, showing inner contexts of functions and uses to building façade and indoor. His architectural viewpoints, based on architectural symbolism and complex architecture, made a big difference in his buildings.

      • 〈학술논문〉 또는 〈응용논문〉 : Cavity Bubble 이 벤투리 유량측정의 불확도에 미치는 영향

        벤투리 유량계는 유량측정 시 압력손실이 적어 많은 공업적 응용분야에서 유체 유량을 측정하는데 널리 사용되어 왔다. 이러한 공업적 및 산업적인 응용에 있어서, 유체가 증기압 이하로 압력이 강하될 때 발생하는 공동현상은 흔히 접하게 되고, 이와 같이 주 유동에 공동현상이 발생하는 경우에 있어 벤투리를 사용한 유량측정에서는 이상유동의 영향이 고려되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 유체의 기포율이 벤투리 유량측정에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위해 미국기계학회에서 추천하는 ASME PTC 19.1-2005 에 근거하여 불확실성 해석을 수행하였고, 측정 불확도를 줄이기 위한 방법을 확인해 보았다. 벤투리 유량측정의 불확도는 기포율이 증가함에 따라 증가하는 결과를 보여준다. Venturi has been widely used to measure flow rate of liquids and gases in a variety of engineering applications due to relatively low pressure losses. In these engineering applications, a two-phase bubbly flow occurs on most industrial flow fields in which the pressure of the liquid falls below its vapor pressure and its effect needs to be considered for flow rate measurement by venturi. The present study focuses on making detailed estimation of measured uncertainties, as the void fraction affects uncertainty of the main water flow in the circulating-loop test. The measurement uncertainty of flow rate has been performed by a quantitative uncertainty analysis that is based on the ANSI/ASME PTC 19.1-2005 standard. The best way to reduce error in measuring flow rate is also investigated for evaluating its measurement uncertainty. The results show that the uncertainty of flow rate measurement can be increased by increasing void fraction.

        반구형 융기부를 이용한 벤투리에서의 캐비테이션 제어

        In this study, we investigated how the performance of a Venturi changes when a hemispherical bump is applied to the divergent part of the Venturi tube and what causes the performance difference. The Venturi-tunnel experiment was conducted in the Reynolds number range of 0.2 × 105 – 1.2 × 105 and cavitation number range of 0.9 – 10. The bump was found to reduce the pressure loss coefficient and increase the discharge coefficient by shortening the cavitation length. The decrease in the cavitation length by the bump was explained by the strengthening of the re-entrant jet. The wake generated from the hemispherical bump seems to increase the adverse pressure gradient on the Venturi surface, thereby strengthening the re-entrant jet.

        로버트 벤투리와 알도 로시 건축에서 도시 경관의 의미와 해석에 관한 연구

        After the modern age, the rapid urbanizationhad a big impact on the then architecture. R. Venturi and A. Rossi are two of the leading architects, developing architecture in cities in the US and Europe respectively. This study shed light on a tangible and intangible meaning and interpretation of urban landscapes through their architectural thoughts and architectures. The followings are the physical and intangible meaning and interpretation in architectural thoughts and works of those two architects. Venturi understood that iconological landscapes at the roadside in large citiesare the nature of physical -landscapes. To Venturi, the facades of buildings at the roadside are a part of signage such as traffic lights and road signs, and those facades have the meaning of symbolic systems beyond simple physical landscapes. To A. Rossi, types of buildings as physical townscapes are a key role supporting raw data of classification in architecture. And also, those types have significance of the basic data shedding light on the principles and history of cities. For intangible factors in R. Venturi"s architecture, daily routine, function and use, time, a use for a building and others form complex architecture. And also, those factors describe shared values of the same period as the facades of buildings and complex symbols and formative lexicons in metaphorical terms. For A. Rossi"s intangible factors, "collective memory" is buried in inhabitants of the city, and with that, the city is a place for memory to its inhabitants. What is more, cities" monuments have intangible landscapes like "sustainability", "permanence" and so on. With lots of events happening throughoutcities, those monuments are the whole images of cities giving the value to the urban buildings that reside in cities. Finally, R. Venturi"s all-encompassing complex architecture concept was extended on a tangible and intangible point of townscapes. It was found that A. Rossi"s tangible thought was formed from the whole landscape of historic cities in then Italy as the background of time and place. Also, With types of urban buildings and "collective memory", A. Rossi drew architectural norms and formats of unchangeable types.

      • 수직 벤투리관 내부 유동 가시화 및 고속 차압 측정에 관한 실험적 연구

        Vertical Venturi tube is widely utilized in flow rate and gas volume fraction (GVF) measurement of 2-phase flow. Fast traveling gaseous slugs act as source of pressure fluctuation and distract the differential pressure reading of the Venturi tube. In this paper, flow dynamics of travelling air slug inside a transparent Venturi tube is analyzed through high speed flow visualization system coupled with differential pressure sensor. This investigation is believed to result in better understanding of the flow rate and gas volume fraction measurement of two-phase flow which is frequently encountered in multiphase flow for flow assurance on offshore oil and gas plant.
