        A Possible Merge of FRET and SPR Sensing System for Highly Accurate and Selective Immunosensing

        Immuno-sensing for high accurate and selective sensing was performed by fluorescence spectroscopy and surface plasmon resonance (SPR), respectively. Engineered assembly of two fluorescent quantum dots (QDs) with bovine serum albumin (BSA) and anti-BSA was fabricated in PBS buffer for fluorescence analysis of fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET). Furthermore, the same bio-moieties were immobilized on Au plates for SPR analysis. Naturally- driven binding affinity of immuno-moieties induced FRET and plasmon resonance angle shift in the nanoscale sensing system. Interestingly, the sensing ranges were uniquely different in two systems: e.g., SPR spectroscopy was suitable for highly accurate analysis to measure in the range of 10-15∼-10 ng/mL while the QD fluorescent sensing system was relatively lower sensing ranges in 10-10∼- 6 ng/mL. However, the QD sensing system was larger than the SPR sensing system in terms of sensing capacity per one specimen. It is, therefore, suggested that a mutual assistance of FRET and SPR combined sensing system would be a potentially promising candidate for high accuracy and reliable in situ sensing system of immune-related diseases.

      • Electric-field Resonance Coupling between Human and Transmitter for Human Position Estimation System

        In this paper, a novel human position estimation system using electric-field resonance coupling is proposed. There are various advantages of using electric-field for human position estimation system. The system is robust to illumination change, body-worn tags are not required and sensors could be hidden since electric-field can path through an insulator. Tags are not required because the system estimates the position by measuring the electric field transmitted along the human body which acts as an electric-field coupler. Moreover, the proposed system has wider sensing range and higher expandability to position estimation of multiple humans compared to the current system. Unlike the current system which only measures the electric-field coupled between human and transmitter, the proposed system measures the electric-field amplified by the resonance occurring inside the human (equivalent to giant antenna) to achieve wider sensing range. Meanwhile, the proposed system is also designed carefully to maintain the expandability to multiple humans position estimation. Based on the simulation results, it is verified that the sensing range could be up to 50[cm] with less than 5[cm] error. In the future, the proposed system could be a powerful alternative for the current system.

        Airbags have improved the performance of adults occupant safety. However children who sit in front passenger seats have got fatal injuries. Due to this risk of airbags to children, National Highway Transportation and Safety Administration has made vehicles equipped with Automatic Suppression Systems. These systems detect the passenger status such as adults, children and CRS. Using this information of passenger status, Sensing & Diagnosis Module makes decision whether passenger front airbag is suppressed or deployed. In this paper, Performance and qualities of two types of passenger sensing systems were compared. One uses pattern recognition system and the other uses weight recognition system. Pattern recognition system uses pressure distribution pattern of occupant and weight recognition system uses weight of occupant to classify the occupants. In this research, Sensors of pattern recognition system were located on top of cushion but sensors of weight recognition system were behind cushion foam. In order to measure the performance, correct decision ratio of 5th%ile was used and quality index was used for defining the qualities. The results showed that average correct decision ratio of pattern recognition system and weight base system were 98.84% and 98.52% respectively. Both systems had good performance but positions of 5th%ile which have incorrect decision were different. In order to compare the quality, quality index was used. Quality index was measured by the incidents ratio from fields. When this index of pattern recognition system is 100%, the index of weight recognition system was 40%. Both systems had good enough qualities but weight recognition system was better because it seemed that sensor location of weight recognition system is under cushion of seats.

        체감형 게임의 캐릭터 커스터마이징 디자인 시스템 분석

        With the spread of COVID-19 and restrictions on outdoor exercise, the number of users using motion sensing games indoors is increasing. An avatar-type character design customization system on behalf of gamers is one of the important research topics for developers in that it can increase the game's appeal to gamers. In this paper, a  motion sensing game with high sales volume and character customization is selected as a game analysis case. Through the analysis of the character customization system of the three selected games, important elements of the customization system were extracted. Finally, the shortcomings of the  motion sensing game character customization system were derived, and improvement plans were presented for the selection system, transformation system, and partial system. It is expected that this proposal will serve as a reference for designing a  motion sensing  game character customization system in the future. 코로나19의 확산과 함께 야외 운동이 제한되면서 실내에서 체감형 게임을 이용하는 이용자 수가 늘고 있다. 게이머를 대신하는 아바타 형식의 캐릭터 디자인 커스터마이징 시스템은 게이머에게 게임에 대한 매력을 높일 수 있다는 측면에서 개발자들에게 중요한 연구주제의 하나이다. 본 논문은 판매량이 많고 캐릭터 커스터마이징이 가능한 체감형 게임을 게임 분석 사례로 선택하였다. 선택된 세 개 게임의 캐릭터 커스터마이징 시스템 분석을 통해 커스터마이징 시스템의 중요한 요소를 추출하였다. 마지막으로 체감형 게임 캐릭터 커스터마이징 시스템의 단점을 도출하고 선택 시스템,변형 시스템,부분 시스템에 대해 개선안을 제시하였다. 이러한 제안이 향후 체감형 게임 캐릭터 커스터마이징 시스템 설계에 나름의 참고가 되기를 기대한다.

        Field management system for green tea utilizing on-site remote sensing technique

        In this study, the on-site remote sensing tech- nology was applied to the green tea field. This research is about the development of the management system named ‘‘N-system’’ as an experimental system and ‘‘T-system named Tsumigorou’’ as a real operation system to check the growth rate or environment state of the green tea. The purpose of this study is to apply to the production site with the green tea and make the management system named ‘‘T- system’’ by the name of ‘‘Tsumigorou’’. N-system was used to make a detailed field survey in many green tea fields in Japan. And then, This ‘‘N-system’’ has evolved network system into named ‘‘T-system’’ which consists of hardware and software. NDVI value was simulated as a result of ‘‘N-system’’ and ‘‘T-system’’. Through field sur- vey, the correlation coefficient of a component of green tea such as weight, total nitrogen, amino acids, and fiber and NDVI was calculated. In the results, NDVI G have a strong correlation coefficient with fibers. Its correlation coefficient between NDVI G and the fibers of third picked tea in 2011 was R2 = 0.90 at MIYAKONOJO green tea field. ‘‘T- system’’ has a good relationship (Total R2 = 0.76) between vegetable fiber and NDVI IR .

        위성원격탐사에 관한 비교법적 고찰

        The regulation of satellite remote sensing is generally included with the scope of statutes governing outer space activities. But not all states opted for dedicated satellite remote sensing regulation. The decision whether to do so depends in part on the specific capabilities of national satellite remote sensing programs. Five states that have dedicated statutes governing operations with remote sensing data are the United States, with its developed Landsat regime (the Land Remote Sensing Policy Act of 1992, LRSPA), Canada, with its Remote Sensing Systems Act, Germany, with its Satellite Data Securities Protection Act (SatDSiG), France, with its Law on Space Operations (LOS), Japan, with its Act on Ensuring Appropriate Handling of Satellite Remote Sensing Data. The major purpose of this article is to shed light on some legal issues surrounding remote sensing activities by comparative review. The paper analyzes international conventions or soft law and national law and policies relating to satellite remote sensing. It also offers some implications and suggestions for regulations of satellite remote sensing operations and satellite data. 본 논문에서는 위성원격탐사의 제도적 정비와 향후 입법 과정에서의 사전 참고로서 이와 관련한 법적 문제들을 검토해 보았다. 위성원격탐사와 관련해서는 광범위한 법적 논점들이 제기될 수 있으나, 본 논문에서는 위성원격탐사에 관한 운용규제와 위성데이터의 거래규제 문제들에 논의의 중심을 두고, 우리법상의 본격적인 입법론적 방안을 위한 선행 연구로서, 비교법적 검토를 시도하였다. 먼저 위성원격탐사와 관련한 국제우주법 체제를 우주조약 체제와 UN원격탐사원칙으로 구분하여 개관하였고, 위성원격탐사에 관한 주요국의 입법례를 살펴보았다. 입법 연혁에 따라 미국, 캐나다, 독일, 프랑스, 일본의 순서로 각 법규들의 성립 배경과 구체적인 입법적 구조 및 주요 내용 등을 구체적으로 분석해 보았다. 이후, 비교법적 검토를 토대로, 위성원격탐사 법제 정비와 관련한 몇 가지 논점들을 상정하여, 시사점 내지 개별적인 의견 등을 제시하였다. 2020년 현재까지 ‘국내 입법’으로 위성원격탐사에 관한 법제 정비를 시도한 국가들로는 미국, 캐나다, 독일, 프랑스, 일본이 유일하다. 이들 국가들은 자체적인 위성운용시스템과 위성데이터보호에 관한 입법적 체계를 마련하여, 위성원격탐사에 관한 법률적 규율을 실시하고 있다. 우리나라도 2010년부터 ‘천리안 위성’을 운용하며 해양ㆍ기상 관측을 행하고 있는 위성원격탐사 수행국이라 할 수 있는데, 아직 그와 관련한 법제는 몇 가지의 정부 훈령을 제외하고는 마련되지 않은 상황이다. 그러나 위성데이터의 활용 플랫폼이 큰 폭으로 변화하고 있고, 소형 관측위성의 개발도 고려할 수 있는 지금, 데이터에 대한 접근성과 활용도는 향후 큰 폭으로 상승할 것이다. 이러한 점들을 고려할 때, 우리나라에서도 관측위성시스템과 위성데이터를 종합적으로 관리할 수 있는 입법 추진이 필요할 것으로 보인다. 특히 국가안보와 정보보안의 측면에서도 위성데이터에 대한 일정한 보급규제가 제도적으로 필요할 것이다.

        HNS 광역 탐지 및 모니터링을 위한 부유식 무인이동체 시스템의 실험적 성능 검증

        In this study, we address the development of a floating platform system based on a unmanned surface vessel for wide-area sensing and monitoring of hazardous and noxious substances (HNSs). For long endurance, a movable floating platform with no mooring lines was used and modified for HNS sensing and monitoring. The floating platform was equipped with various sensors such as optical and thermal imaging cameras, marine radar, and sensors for detecting HNSs in water and air. Additionally, for experiment validation in real outdoor environments, a portable gas-exposure system (PGS) was built and installed on the monitoring system. The software for carrying out the mission was integrated with the Robot Operating System (ROS) framework. The practical feasibility of the developed system was verified through experimental tests conducted in inland water and real-sea environments. 본 논문에서는 해상 위험유해물질(Hazardous Noxious Substances, HNS) 사고의 효과적인 대응을 위해 개발된 부유식 무인이동체 기반 광역탐지 및 모니터링 시스템의 운용 시나리오 설계와 실험 검증 내용을 보인다. 광역탐지 및 모니터링 시스템은 장시간 운용이 가능하되 제한적 이동이 가능한 무계류형 부이 형태를 갖는 부유식 무인이동체 플랫폼을 기반으로 개발되었으며 임무 수행에 필요한 열화상 카메라, 레이더, 부유 및 대기 HNS의 탐지를 위한 센서가 탑재되었다. 실험 검증 과정에서는 탐지 센서 성능을 야외 환경에서 실험적으로 검증하기 위해 이동식 가스 유출 시스템(Portable Gas-exposure System, PGS)을 추가로 설치하였다. 무인 시스템의 원격 및 자율 운용을 위해 전체 운용 소프트웨어는 로봇운영체제(Robot Operating System, ROS) 프레임워크를 기반으로 통합되었다. 내수면 및 실해역에서의 실험을 통해 개발된 시스템의 운용 및 활용 가능성을 실험적으로 검증하였다.

      • 지적센싱시스템을 이용한 기계가공프로세스의 감시에 관한 연구

        This paper presents methodology of machining process monitoring using intelligent sensing system. Unmanned machining is an elusive goal that cannot be met without significant advances in machine monitoring and diagnostics. For achieving intelligent manufacturing system, lots of technology fields, ie. sensor, signal processing, monitoring, diagnosis, adaptive control, must be developed. Some useful extracted features from sensor signals are used to recognize abnormal state of process or to give input feature of an neural network to classify and detect process defects. Multui-sensor and sensor-fusion technology creates reliable monitoring results for a wide range of materials and machining conditions. Development of intelligent sensing system promises a new era of intelligent manufacturing system.

        불안정판을 이용한 고령자를 위한 평형감각 훈련의 정량적 분석

        This paper presents quantitative analysis of a training system based on an unstable platform and a visual interactive system for improving sense of equilibrium. The training system consists of an unstable platform, a force plate, a safety harness, a monitoring device, and a personal-computer. To confirm the effects of the training system, fifteen young volunteers and five elderly volunteers went through a series of balance training using the system. During the training, we measured relevant parameters such as the time a subject maintain his or her center of pressure on a target, the time a subject moves his or her center of pressure to the target, and the mean absolute deviation of the trace before and after training with this system and training programs to evaluate the effects of the training. The results showed that the training system can successfully assess the gradual improvement of the postural control capability of the subject in the system and showed a possibility of improving balance of the subject. Moreover, the significant improvement in the postural capability of the elderly subject suggests that elderly subjects can benefit more from the training using the system for the improvement of sense of equilibrium.
