        밀라노 디자인 지구 내 유휴 산업시설의 재활용 사례연구

        (Background and Purpose) Recently it has been increased numerously the number of cases of converting idle industrial facilities to multi-cultural spaces which is related to various city events such as fairs, Biennale and Triennale. This creates the differentiated spaces that could provide the formation of distinguished places of the hosting city and furthermore it is well used as a focal point of urban regeneration. Therefore, the aim of this study is to analyze the representative cases of adaptive reuse of idle industrial facilities situated in the MDD (Milan Design District) and to provide the preservative design strategy for Korean context. (Method) First, analyzing precedent researches, it identifies the relationship between urban regeneration and reused idle industrial facilities. Secondly, to draw the spatial characteristics of adaptive reuse of idle industrial facilities in the MDD, it observes the Milan city structure and analyzes the distribution of industrial facilities in the MDD. For the third, it is to analyze ‘Zona Tortona’ and ‘Lambrate Design District’ where centered the representative cases of reused industrial facilities, on the base of the database abstracted from the Milan Architects Association and of the field research. Lastly, it is to define the characteristic of cases of idle industrial facilities converted to multi-cultural spaces which are related to urban events, and to draw its implications for urban regeneration of the area. (Results) For the result of above, it has been processing gradually 3 kinds of the ‘patterns’ for the targeting areas, such as 'the patterns of regeneration effects occurred directly by adaptive reuse', 'the patterns of comprehensive regeneration effects occurred by relations between the industrial heritages with adjacent areas' and 'the patterns of achieving multiple regeneration effects through networking'(Kang, 2010). Furthermore, the idle industrial facilities have been transformed to the ‘unique venues’ of the city through preservative remodeling. In the 6 analyzed cases located in ‘Zona Tortona’ and ‘Lambrate Design District’, the ‘exterior spaces’ and ‘internal spaces’ are transformed with a strong intensity, while in most cases, ‘architectural shape’ and ‘elevations’ were recognized as a valuable elements and show a clear tendency of preservation. The ‘structures’ designed for the previous productive functions were preserved in all cases except for the new constructions. (Conclusions) The urban regeneration of industrial areas in Milan began with an radical renovation of idle industrial facilities by the private initiatives and strongly related to a particular urban events and afterwards it was organized on the based of urban planning such as PRU(Program of Urban Requalification) and PII(Integrated Programs of Intervention). This case study could contribute to the definition of urban regeneration strategy for local cities in Korea which focus on tourism based development and on making unique venues from industrial heritages.

        지속가능한 도시재생을 위한 정책도구 연구: 유휴 공간 업-사이클링(up-cycling)과 세액공제 제도를 중심으로

        이 연구의 목적은 미국의 사례를 대상으로 연방정부의 세액공제 제도가 유휴 공간 업-사이클링을 활용한 도시재생에 어떻게 활용되고 있는지를 사례 분석을 통해 고찰하는 것이다. 미국의 대표적 세액공제 제도는 역사유산 세액공제 제도(historic preservation tax credit), 저소득층주택건설 세액공제 제도(low income housing tax credit)와 시장개척 세액공제 제도(new market tax credit)를 포함한다. 그동안 도시재생을 위한 우리나라의 재정 운용 방법은 재정을 마련하여 일정 기간에 집중적으로 투자하는 방식이었으며 이런 방식은 지속가능한 도시재생에 악영향을 미칠 수 있다. 하지만 미국의 세액공제 제도는 미국 도심지의 지속가능한 도시재생에 긍정적 영향을 주고 있다. 도시재생을 위해 세액공제를 활용한 미국의 사례 분석을 통해 우리나라의 지속가능한 도시재생을 위한 정책적 함의를 도출하고자 한다. The purpose of this study is to examine how the federal tax credit in the US including Historic Preservation Tax Credit, Low Income Housing Tax Credit and New Market Tax Credit is utilized in urban regeneration through up-cycling of abandoned spaces. The US urban renewal support system has increased the sustainability of urban regeneration. On the other hand, Korea's financial investment method for urban regeneration was a method of intensive investment in a certain period. This approach may negatively affect sustainable urban regeneration. However, the US tax credits have a positive impact on sustainable urban regeneration in the United States. Through the analysis of cases in the US using tax credits for urban regeneration, this study intends to draw the policy implications for the sustainable urban regeneration in Korea.

        A study on deactivation and regeneration of titanium dioxide during photocatalytic degradation of phthalic acid

        The cause of deactivation of Degussa P25 titanium dioxide (TiO2) during photocatalytic degradation of phthalic acid in aqueous medium was investigated. Various regeneration methods, such as washing with solvents, hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and thermal treatment were attempted to find the best technique for regeneration of spent catalyst. The deactivation and regeneration of TiO2 was monitored using XRD, FTIR,CHNO analysis, zeta potential measurement and surface area analysis. The surface adsorption of phthalic acid and the reaction intermediates deactivates the catalyst. The regeneration by H2O2 treatment nearly restored the activity, whereas washing with solvents and thermal treatment showed poor regeneration.

        산업유산 재활용을 통한 지역재생 방법론 연구

        최근 지역재생을 위해 산업유산을 재활용하여야 한다는 인식이 크게 변화되고 있다. 그러나 산업유산을 재활용하기 위한 이론적 기반을 탐색하는 실험적 성격의 연구들은 양·질적으로 매우 부족한 실정이다. 이러한 인식 속에서, 본 연구는 산업유산 재활용의 활성화를 도모하기 위한 이론적 체계와 원칙 도출을 기본 목적으로 한다. 본 연구는 3단계로 진행하며 그 과정과 결과는 다음과 같다. 1단계에서는 먼저 문헌연구를 통해 산업 유형(농임업, 수산업, 광업, 철강금속업, 조선업, 전기에너지업, 제조업, 물류운송업, 산업서비스업)을 선정한다. 이를 기준으로 산업유산적 가치를 보유한 잠재자원들을 추출하고 자원체계를 분석한다. 2단계는 1단계에서 도출한 산업유형에 근거하여 8개소의 대표사례를 분석하고, 이들의 재활용 특성과 연계된 지역재생의 패턴을 도출한다. 현장연구를 통해 진행하며 3 단계의 재활용 과정(자원화 단계, 가치확장 단계, 유지관리 단계)을 기본으로 분석을 진행한다. 3단계에서는 지역재생과 관련된 산업유산의 제조건들을 도출하고, 지역재생 차원에서의 산업 유형별 특성을 도출한다. 최종적으로 도출된 결과를 종합하여 산업유산 재활용을 통한 지역재생의 가설적 시스템을 정립한다. There has been a significant change in perception towards reusing industrial heritage for urban regeneration in recent years. However, experimental researches exploring theoretical basis of the reuse of industrial heritage are considered far from being enough both quantitatively and qualitatively. In terms of these concerns, this study has been conducted with the extraction of the theoretic systems and principles for the vitalization of industrial heritage’s euse. The results describe progress in three phases. In the first stage, various types of industries including agriculture & forestry, fishery, mining, metal & iron, electric energy, manufacturing, shipbuilding industry, logistics & transportation and industrial services are selected through document research and field survey. And it analyzes potential resources and resource working system as industrial heritage. In the second stage, the reuse stage (resourcerization, reinforcement, and maintenance) is analyzed about their characteristics by selecting eight representative cases based on the type of industries. The third stage has integrated the results about conditions and factors of urban regeneration concerned with each type of industry in terms of industrial heritage. Finally, a hypothetic system of urban regeneration is suggested. Despite of some limitations, the conclusions are worthy of to work as the practical principle and guideline for the comprehension of relationship between industrial heritage’ reuse and urban regeneration.

        역사문화유산을 활용한 중소도시의 가로 재생방안

        역사문화유산의 활용을 재생과 연계하기 위해서는 공간적 재생, 활용에 의한 경제적 재생, 공동체의 사회적 재생접근이 필요하다. 그러나 대부분의 가로계획은 환경적인 계획에만 치우쳐 가로재생에 이르지 못하고 있다. 본 연구목적은 중소도시인 강경의 중심가로에 남아있는 근대건축물의 보존?활용을 통한 가로재생 방안을 모색하는데 있으며, 가로재생의 목표를 가로 속에서 근대 건축과 역사문화를 체험할 수 있는 근대역사문화 거리박물관 조성으로 설정하고, 네 가지 추진전략과 전략별 사업방안을 마련하였다. 이러한 방안 마련을 통하여 다음 세 가지의 연구의의를 도출할 수 있었는데, 첫째 도시재생과 경쟁력 제고 차원에서 역사문화유산을 어떤 용도로 활용할지에 대한 고민과 거점공간의 형성에 기반한 네트워크 계획이 필요하며, 둘째 역사문화자원의 활용은 테마 속에서 그 테마를 연출하고 체험할 수 있는 용도의 도입과 함께 축제 및 이벤트 등을 도입한 마케팅적 접근이 중요하다. 셋째 중소도시의 인구특성상 리더가 부재하고 공동체가 느슨한 상태에서는 물적인 정비 활용을 위해 리더 육성과 공동체 형성을 함께 하여야 한다는 것이다. For the regeneration to be connected with the utilization of historic and cultural heritage, it is needed to consider spatial regeneration, the economic regeneration through utilization and the social community regeneration. However, most of street regeneration projects are inclined to focus on environmental aspects of streetscape. The purpose of this study is to explore ways for successful street regeneration through the preservation and reuse of the modern buildings remained in a small town, Ganggyeong. As a goal of the street regeneration, it is set up the foundation of a modern historic and cultural street museum that provides visitors with the experiences of modern buildings, histories and cultures in the streets. Three significant and strategical business methods are suggested. First, it needs to decide how to use historic and cultural heritage and to plan on the networks based on the formation of core space. Second, under a theme, facilities should be developed to provide theme experiences, and marketing approach, such as employing festivals and events, should be included. Third, it has to be accompanied with leaders for organizing communities in case of small and medium-sized cities with poor connections among citizens.

        적응적 재활용을 통한 유휴 산업유산의 지속가능한 보전과 재생- 세종시 조치원 정수장과 한림제지 폐공장 문화재생 사례를 중심으로 -

        Social interest and awareness on abandoned industrial heritage issues are increasing, and now architectural discourse and attempts are being made to use them as new resources for regional regeneration. This study examines the basic concepts and theoretical background on adaptive reuse of abandoned industrial facilities, and also develops the analytic framework of sustainable conservation and regeneration focusing on social, economic, and environmental factors. Consequently, two projects in Jochiwon, Sejong have been analyzed based on the developed framework. This introduces a new analytic approach from a community-oriented perspective and suggests new guidelines for sustainable conservation of abandoned industrial facilities. Therefore, this is the first meaningful step as a qualitative case study to analyze the project process and the influences in local communities.

      • 에너지 회생 기법을 사용한 초고속 전동 사출성형기 개발

        High-speed and high-torque performance is required in the ultra-high speed electric injection molding machine field. To implement this performance, the big-size inverter is needed and the corresponding converter should be used. In this case, the whole cost for configuring the system will be increased. In this paper, we introduce a method which is able to reduce the energy and the cost for configuring the system using the energy regeneration. The energy regeneration method is based on reusing the regeneration power generated at the electric motor during decelerating the injection motion. In this paper, we demonstrate the effectiveness of the method by using the ultra-high speed injection motion.

      • 근대 산업유산을 재활용한 도시재생에 관한 연구

        The concept of 'Urban Regeneration' has appeared to prevent a rapid growth of modern metropolitan cities and to revitalize heart of cities that have a situation of losing functions. Urban regeneration has functions not only improving physical environment but also recreating non-physical environmental factors of economical and social situations. There are some good examples of regenerated cities, which have malfunction heritages of industrial society. These have potential energy to increase a city's competitiveness with reusing local culture and historic resources, commercializing the city's improved image and revitalizing urban faculty. But, Korea's urban regeneration is in developmental stage by far. Korea have to escape from present level, which improvement of physical environment to the higher level of development using industrial heritages, which have memories of citier's historical and cultural fragments. Consequently, this paper attempts to contribute to Korea's urban regeneration issues presenting and analyzing successful examples of reusing industrial factory, which has historical and cultural resources.

        Fabrication of magnetically recyclable ZrO2-TiO2/CoFe2O4 hollow core/shell photocatalysts: Improving photocatalytic efficiency under sunlight irradiation

        TiO2 is an important material for photocatalytic oxidation to degrade organic pollutants, but its utilization under visible light is low, recovery is difficult, and stability is poor. We prepared ZrO2-TiO2/CoFe2O4 (Zr-Ti/Co) photocatalyst with hollow core-shell structure by sol-gel method and layer-by-layer self-assembly method with tetrabutyl titanate and Zirconium n-butoxide as main raw materials. The samples were characterized and analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), solid ultraviolet visible diffuse reflection (UV-Vis DRS), fluorescence (FL), ultraviolet visible absorption (UV), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). It is concluded that the TiO2 maintains a good anatase phase structure in the Zr-Ti-Co photocatalyst. Under UV light and sunlight, the degradation rate of the photocatalyst reached 96.1% and 99.7% for 60 min, respectively, for Rhodamine B (10mg/L) reaction system. And after repeated use for five times, it still showed better regeneration and reuse.

        입지 유형에 따른 유휴 산업시설의 재활용 계획 특성 연구

        Recently abandoned industrial facilities are adaptively reused as cultural spaces creating the social, economical, and cultural value of urban regeneration. And the cultural spaces have a feature utilizing the spaces with software by the contents and the programs reflecting the context and the needs of the area. The study drew the characteristics of the utilization with software by the site type through the analysis of the contents and the programs of the cultural spaces. The purpose of the study is to provide a useful design guideline for the effective contents and the operational programs reflecting the site location, when the abandoned industrial facilities are renovated to the cultural spaces. As a result of the study, the site locations were reflected to the purpose and value of the utilization, and the site factors to the concrete utilization method for the pursuit of the purpose and value, according to the site types of the abandoned industrial facilities. The followings are the summary of the planning characteristics for each type; first, for the case of urban type, it focused on creating the values including ‘the pursuit of globality,’ ‘the cultivation of high-tech cultural industry,’ and ‘the formation of residents’ community,’ and it adopted industrial complex as a site-related factor and urban public goods as infra-type site factor for the utilization method; second, for the case of suburban type, it concentrated on creating the values including ‘the pursuit of locality,’ ‘the development of tour packages,’ and ‘the establishment of local network,’ and local natural resources and infrastructure facilities with long history were directly utilized.
