        적수온(19-21℃)에서 배합사료를 공급한 육성기 넙치(Paralichthys olivaceus)의 적정 공급률

        We investigated the effects of feeding rate on the growth performance, blood components, and histology of growing olive flounder Paralichthys olivaceus . We determined the optimum feeding rate (initial fish mean weight of 240 ± 10.9 g) at the optimum water temperature. Two replicated groups of fish were fed a commercial diet at rates of 0%, 0.5%, 0.75%, and 1.0% body weight (BW) per day, and to satiation. Feeding trial was conducted using a flow-through system with 10 1.2-metric ton aquaria receiving filtered seawater at 19-21°C for three weeks. Weight gain (WG) for fish fed to satiation was significantly higher than that of unfed fish and fish fed at 0.5% and 0.75% BW per day. The WG of fish fed at 1.0% BW per day was significantly higher than that of unfed fish and of fish fed at 0.5% BW per day. However, there were no significant differences in WG between fish fed at 0.5% BW per day and those fed at 0.75% BW per day, between fish fed at 0.75% BW per day and those fed at 1.0% BW per day, and between fish fed at 1.0% BW per day and those fed to satiation. The specific growth rates of fish fed at 1.0% BW per day and those fed to satiation were significantly higher than those of unfed fish and of fish fed at 0.5% BW per day. Broken-line regres- sion analysis of weight gain showed that the optimum feeding rate of olive flounder weighing 240 g was 1.09% BW per day at the optimum water temperature.

        We investigated the effects of feeding rate on the growth performance, blood components, and histology of grow- ing olive flounder Paralichthys olivaceus . Optimum feeding rate (initial fish mean weight : 316.7±6.18 g) was de- termined under the optimum water temperature. Two replicated groups of fish were fed a commercial diet at rates of 0%, 0.4%, 0.6%, and 0.8% of body weight (BW) per day, and to satiation. Feeding trial was conducted using a flow-through system with 10 1.2-metric ton aquaria receiving filtered seawater at 21-24°C for 3 weeks. Weight gain (WG) and specific growth rate (SGR) were significantly higher in fish fed to satiation (1.0% BW/day) than in those in other treatments. These parameters were negative and significantly lower in the starved fish than in fish fed the experimental diet at all feeding rates. There were no significant differences in WG and SGR among fish fed at 0.4%, 0.6%, and 0.8% BW/day. Hematocrit and hemoglobin in fish fed to satiation were significantly lower than those in other treatments. Histological changes of fish fed at 0.6% BW/day indicated that this group was in the best condition; differences were not found in tissues of fish fed at 0%, 0.6% and 1.0% BW/day. Broken-line regression analysis of weight gain showed that the optimum feeding rate of olive flounder weighing 317 g was 0.99% BW per day at the optimum water temperature.

        We investigated the effects of feeding rate on the growth, blood components, and histology of sub-adult olive flounderParalichthys olivaceus. Optimum feeding rate (initial fish mean weight : 384.2±5.91 g ) was determined under theoptimum water temperature. Two replicated groups of fish were fed a commercial diet at rates of 0%, 0.3%, 0.5%, and0.7% body weight (BW) per day, and to satiation. The feeding trial was conducted using a flow-through system withten 1.2-metric ton aquaria receiving filtered seawater at 20-24.5°C for 3 weeks. After the feeding trial, the weight gain(WG) and specific growth rate (SGR) were significantly higher in fish fed at 0.7% BW/day and those fed to satiation(0.9% BW/day) than in fish fed at other feeding rates or in the unfed fish. These parameters were negative and significantlylower in the unfed fish than in those fed the experimental diet at all feeding rates. There were no significantdifferences in WG and SGR among fish fed at 0.3 and 0.5% BW/day and among those fed at 0.7% BW/day and tosatiation. The histological changes in the hepatopancreas, kidney, and anterior intestine of fish fed at 0, 0.5, and 0.9% BW/day did not differ much. Broken-line regression analysis of weight gain showed that the optimum feeding rateof olive flounder weighing 384 g was 0.74% BW per day at the optimum water temperatures.

        저수온, 적수온, 고수온에서의 미성어기 조피볼락(Sebastes schlegeli)의 배합사료 적정 공급률

        Three feeding trials were conducted to investigate the optimal feeding rates of subadult Korean rockfish Sebastes schlegeli at low, optimal and high water temperatures. In Exp-I, triplicate groups of fish (248 g) were fed a commercial diet (CD) with five different feeding rates of 0.1%, 0.2%, 0.4%, 0.6% and 0.8% body weight per day for 10 weeks at the low temperature (11.6-15.2°C). In Exp-II, fish (129 g) were fed the same CD with five different feeding rates of 0.4%, 0.8%, 1.2%, 1.6% and 2.0% body weight per day for 10 weeks at the optimal temperature (16.0-18.8°C). In Exp-III, fish (85.7 g) were fed the same CD with five different feeding rates of 0.4%, 0.8%, 1.2%, 1.6% and 2.0% body weight per day for 12 weeks at the high temperature (21.0-28.5°C). The optimal feeding rates in the low, optimal, and high water temperatures were estimated to be 0.56%, 0.93% and 1.17% body weight per day, respectively, for subadult Korean rockfish.

        Seed dormancy and germination in Oenanthe stolonifera as affected by temperature and gibberellic acid

        Our aim was to investigate the dormancy type of water dropwort seeds for developing seed germination methods in thefuture. The mature fruit is a schizocarp with sponge-like and thickened ribs. However, the seeds were able to absorb moisturenormally. In this study, less than 14% of seeds germinated without any pretreatment after 4 weeks at 20, 25, or 25/15 °C(12/12 h). However, there was a further increase in germination percentage after 10 weeks of incubation at 5/5, 15/6, 20/10,and 25/15 °C. The seeds germinated at higher ratios under relatively colder temperature regimes. Embryo growth in theseeds occurred at both warm and cold temperatures. However, water dropwort seeds require a period of cold temperatures forembryo growth to be completed. The germination percentage was signifi cantly higher in GA 3 -treated seeds, even though theabsolute diff erence was relatively low. In water dropwort, GA can overcome seed dormancy but cold temperature alone for8–10 weeks may eff ectively break seed dormancy and increase germination percentage. Based on these results, we proposethat most water dropwort seeds showed intermediate complex morphophysiological dormancy and some seeds had morphologicaldormancy at the time of dispersal. These results provide useful information for seed propagation and a practicalproduction plan for cultivation of water dropwort.

        This study was conducted to investigate the effects of feeding rate on growth performance, blood components and histology of growing olive flounder. The experiment was carried out to determine the optimum feeding rate of the fish (initial fish mean weight of 97±3.0 g) at the optimum water temperature. Two replicated groups of fish were fed commercial diet at the feeding rates of 0, 1.0, 1.65 and 2.3% body weight (BW)/day and satiation. Feeding trial was conducted under a flow-through system with ten 1.2 metric ton aquaria receiving filtered seawater at 21±2℃ for three weeks. Weight gain and specific growth rate (SGR) for fish fed to satiation were significantly higher than those for the unfed fish and for fish fed at 1.0 and 1.65% BW/day. There were no significant differences in values of such parameters between fish fed at 1.65% and those fed at 2.3% BW/day and between fish fed at 2.3% and those fed to satiation. Weight gain and SGR for the unfed fish were significantly lower than those for fish in the other treatments. All the tissues (hepatopancreas, kidney and anterior intestine) were in good condition in fish fed the experimental diet at different feeding rates. This result indicates that the optimum feeding rates of olive flounder (97-160 g) was approximately 2.52% BW/day at the optimum water temperature.

        Influence of Water Temperature on Spawning of Chinese Bleak, Aphyocypris chinensis

        왜몰개, Aphyocypris chinensis의 산란에 미치는 수온의 영향을 알아보기 위하여, 19, 22, 25, 28℃ 수온에서 2개월 동안 사육을 하면서 산란횟수, 생산된 총 수정란 수, 산란간격 및 부화율 등을 조사하였다. 19℃와 25℃ 사이에서는 수온이 증가하면 할수록 산란횟수, 생산된 총 수정란 수 및 수정란의 부화율이 증가하여 25℃에 노출된 암컷과 수컷에서 가장 많은 산란횟수, 난 생산 및 부화 성공률과 가장 짧은 산란간격을 나타냈다. 그러나 28℃에서는 25℃보다 수온이 증가했음에도 오히려 4개의 실험수온 중에서 가장 적은 산란횟수, 난 생산 및 부화율과 가장 긴 산란간격을 나타냈다. Studies were conducted to determine the effects of water temperature on the number of spawning, egg production, spawning intervals and hatching success of Chinese bleak, Aphyocypris chinensis. Adult fish were exposed to water temperatures of 19, 22, 25 and 28℃ for two months in the laboratory. The spawning number, egg productivity, and hatching rate increased as water temperature increased between 19℃ and 25℃. Maximum egg production and hatching rate occurred at 25℃, whereas the spawning intervals decreased as water temperature increased except for the treatment of 28℃. The shortest spawning interval observed at 25℃.

        인스턴트커피 제조를 위한 커피추출조건 최적화

        본 연구에서는 상업적으로 가장 많이 쓰는 커피 추출기인 2단계 퍼콜레이터를 사용하여 인스턴트커피를 제조하기 위한 커피추출조건을 최적화하였다. 반응표면분석을 위한 수학적 모델식을 구하기 위해 중심합성계획법이 사용되었고, 구해진 모델식에서는 커피추출액의 추출 수율과 추출액의 전반적인 기호도가 3가지 요인(추출기의 급수온도, 추출배수, 추출시간)의 2차식으로 표현되었다. 반응표면분석의 결과를 바탕으로 40% 이상의 수율을 보이는 범위에서, 추출수율과 전반적인 기호도를 최대로 하는 최적 커피 추출 조건은 급수온도 163℃, 추출배수 4.3 및 추출시간 27분이었다. 이 결과는 산업에서 경쟁력 있는 인스턴트 커피 제조를 위한 커피 추출 조건에 대한 기초 자료를 제공한다. In this study, we optimized the coffee extraction conditions for instant coffee production in two stage percolators, which is the most common coffee extractor for instant coffee production. A central composite design was used to build mathematical model equations for response surface methodology (RSM). In these equations, the yield and overall acceptability of the coffee extracts were expressed as second-order functions of three factors, the feed water temperature, draw-off factor (DOF), and extraction time (cycle time). Based on the result of RSM, the optimum conditions were obtained with the use of desirability function approach (DFA) which find the best compromise area among multiple options. The optimum extraction conditions to maximize the yield and overall acceptability over 40% of yield were found with 163℃ of feed water temperature, 4.3 of DOF and 27 minutes of extraction time (cycle time). These results provide a basic data for the coffee extraction conditions for the competitive instant coffee in the industry.
