        저장온도와 기능성 필름의 기체 투과도가 다양한 크기의 퉁퉁마디 신선편이의 저장성에 미치는 영향

        These studies were identified the effect of four types of non-perforated breathable (NPB) packing filmand three sizes on storage ability of fresh-cut for ready to eat packaging at 5℃ for 25 days and 10℃ for 15 days storagein Salicornia herbacea. The fresh weight loss was less than 2% in every films at 5℃ condition after 25 daysstorage, and the 10℃ also had same result on 15 days storage except 100,000 cc NPB film. Compare with storageafter 15 days, storage condition at 5℃ had shown better result under the 1% fresh weight loss rate. The 5,000 cc and5℃ condition had been shown the characteristics of MA packaging in carbon dioxide and oxygen concentrations. The ethylene concentration in vacuum film was higher 10 to 100 times than in NPB film treatments during storage. But ethylene concentration was not statistically significant differences among size treatments. Every conditions hadbeen measured the anti-oxidant activity by DPPH method after storage at 5℃ for 25 days and 10℃ for 15 days. S. herbacea at 5℃ had been more than twice of activity compare with that at 10℃. 100,000 cc NPB film had beenhigher contents of anti-oxidant activity at 5℃ and 10℃. As the fresh-cut sizes, 3 cm and 5 cm sizes had changeddepending on film types but 10 cm were not effected by the film types in the DPPH activity. When panel test hadbeen tried to measure the visual quality and off-flavor after storage, 5℃ with a filme of 5,000 cc treatment had establishedhigher value than other treated conditions. As these results, it’s may be suggested that the 5℃ with 5,000 ccnon-perforated breathable film for MA storage in Salicornia herbacea at fresh cut distribution system. Fresh cut size10 cm with 100,000 cc NPB film also had the good quality for 15 dyas storage at 10℃, and this result can be appliedfor short term distribution system in Korea. 최근 신선 유통되는 퉁퉁마디는 식물 체내 수분 함량이 높고 조직이 단단하지 못해 저장성이 낮은 식물로MA 저장을 통해 저장성을 향상시키고, 최근 새롭게 개발된 비천공 breathable(NPB) 필름을 적용하여 각기5℃와 10℃로 저장하여 실제 유통 수준에서의 영향을알아 보았다. 또한 신선 편이 제품으로의 유통 가능성을알아보기 위하여 3cm, 5cm, 그리고 10cm로 각각 절단하여 저장성을 상호 비교하였다. 그 결과 10℃에 비하여5℃ 저장 조건이 NPB 필름을 적용 하였을 경우 저장력이 우수한 결과를 보였는데 저장중 생체중의 감소율은5℃에서 25일 저장 종료일까지 2% 이내의 결과를 보였고 10℃에서는 저장 15일 후에 100,000cc NPB 필름을제외하고 2% 이내의 감소율을 나타내었다. 5℃와 동일기간인 15일을 기준으로 비교하면 5℃가 1% 이내의 감소율을 나타내 상대적으로 우수한 결과를 보였다. 동일기간 동안 측정한 이산화탄소와 산소 농도의 변화에서는5,000cc NPB 필름이 MA 저장시의 특징을 보였다. 저장중 포장내 에틸렌 농도는 진공 필름에서 NPB 필름처리들보다 10~100배까지 높았으나, 크기별 차이에 통계적 유의성은 없었다. 각기 5℃에서 25일간 그리고 10℃ 에서 15일간 저장한 이후 항산화 활성을 측정, 상호 비교한 결과 5℃가 10℃보다 두배 이상의 항산화 활성도를 나타내었고 100,000cc NPB 필름에서 높은 활성도를보였고 크기별로는 10cm 크기가 활성도가 낮아지지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 저장 종료후 관능검사를 통한 외관품질과 이취를 평가한 결과 5℃ 처리와 5,000cc 필름을적용한 구에서 상대적으로 높은 수준으로 나타났다. 본 실험을 통하여 5℃, 저장시 5,000cc NPB 필름을MA 저장에 적용하는 것이 타당하다는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 다만 실제 유통 현장에서 사용되는 온도조건이 10℃ 임을 고려하면 10℃ 저장 시 10cm 크기에는 100,000cc NPB 필름이 단기유통이라는 측면에서 적용이 가능할 것으로 판단되었다.

        결정화도가 레이저 절제로 제조된 통기성 폴리프로필렌 필름 특성에 미치는 영향

        폴리프로필렌 필름의 결정화도가 레이저 절제에 의하여 제조된 통기성 필름 천공 특성에 미치는 영향과 이에 따른 산소 투과도 변화에 대하여 살펴보았다. 레이저 파워 증가는 필름에 형성된 천공 직경을 증가시키는 반면, 천공의 간격 및 높이를 감소시킴을 확인하였다. 이러한 현상은 필름의 두께가 두꺼울수록 더 두드러짐을 확인하였다. 천공 형태 변화는 냉각 조건에 의하여 형성된 결정화도에 따라 달라지며 결정 크기가 작아 투명한 필름은 천공 직경이 증가되는 반면, 천공 간격 및 높이는 감소되었다. 필름에 형성된 천공 모양은 필름의 산소 투과도에 영향을 주어 천공 직경이 크고, 결정화도가 낮은 필름에서 높은 산소 투과도를 보였다. 두께가 얇은 필름에서 레이저 파워가 커지면 완전 천공 현상에 의하여 산소투과도가 급격히 증가되었다. The effect of crystallinity on the characteristics of perforation in breathable polypropylene film made by laser ablation was studied and it was related with the characteristics of oxygen transmittance in the film. It was found that the increase of laser power resulted in the increase of the diameter of perforation while the spatter interval and height decreased. This phenomenon was relatively dominant in the film having thick thickness. The crystallinity controlled by cooling condition in melt casting film process affected the characteristic of perforation, as a result, the transparent film having smaller crystallite had a lager diameter of perforation with less spatter interval and height when similar laser power was applied. Oxygen transmittance was controlled by the shape of perforation and it was confirmed that less crystalline film having larger diameter of perforation showed higher oxygen transmittance. The dramatic increase of oxygen transmittance was found in the thinner film because the complete perforation through the film thickness occurred when high laser power was applied on the film.

        통기성필름의 투습도에 관한 실험적 연구

        Moisture vapor transmission rate (MVTR) is an important item for many applications of polymer breathable thin film. To determine the optimum values of the process parameters, it is essential to find their influence on The significance of six important process parameters namely, extruder cylinder temperature, extruder speed, extruder dies temperature, cooling roll temperature, stretching ratio, stretching roll temperature on breathable film strength of polymer extrusion was determined. Moreover, this paper presents the application of Taguchi method and analysis of variance(ANOVA) for maximization of the breathable film MVTR influenced by extrusion parameters . The optimum parameter combination of extrusion process was obtained by using the analysis of signal-to-noise ratio. The conclusion revealed that extruder speed and stretching ratio were the most influential factor on the film strength, respectively. The best results of film MVTR were obtained at higher extruder speed and stretching ratio.

        Nano-SiO<sub>2</sub> 복합에 의한 바이오매스 기반 폴리우레탄 무공형 멤브레인 필름의 투습성 향상에 관한 연구

        The aim of this work was to enhance water vapor permeability of bio-polyurethane thin films, which is essential in non-microporous-type films for applications in breathable fabrics, by hybridizing with silica particles. As the bio-polyurethane, which was synthesized using biomass-based $Susterra^{(R)}$ 1,3-propanediol, did not have enough hydrophilicity for a breathable film, the hybridizing effect of hydrophilic nano- or micro-sized silica ($SiO_2$) on the breathability of bio-polyurethane thin films was investigated by measuring the water contact angle and water vapor permeability of the films. It was found that the permeability of the bio-polyurethane film could be significantly enhanced by hybridizing with $nano-SiO_2$ as well as $micro-SiO_2$. It was also observed that the $nano-SiO_2$ was more effective than the $micro-SiO_2$ in improving permeability. It was found that permeability in bio-polyurethane film could be improved up to more than 100% with $nano-SiO_2$ content at 9 wt%.

        TiO<sub>2</sub> 하이브리드에 의한 바이오-폴리우레탄 멤브레인 필름의 투습성 향상에 관한 연구

        The aim of this work was to enhance the water vapor permeability of bio-polyurethane thin film, whose essential application is as a non-microporous type of film in breathable fabrics, by hybridizing it with nano- and micro-sized titania ($TiO_2$). The bio-polyurethanes were synthesized from 4,4-diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI) and a polyol mixture containing polyethylene glycol (PEG) and soybean oil-based polyol, that is, bio-glycols by the hydroxylation of soybean oils upto 25% by weight of bio-polyurethane. We studied the effect of hybridizing the bio-polyurethane films with hydrophilic nano- or micro-sized $TiO_2$ on their breathability by measuring the water contact angle and the water vapor permeability of the films; it was found to significantly enhance the permeability of the bio-polyurethane film. Further, nano-$TiO_2$ was more effective than micro-$TiO_2$ due to the higher surface area resulting from nano particles. On the other hand, it is expected that it would be possible to provide additive functionality to the bio-PU membranes due to photocatalytic effect of nano-$TiO_2$.

        고분자압출의 공정변수가 통기성필름강도에 미치는 영향

        Optimization of process parameters in polymer extrusion is an important task to reduce manufacturing cost. To determine the optimum values of the process parameters, it is essential to find their influence on the strength of polymer breathable thin film.         변온 저장 중 반면적 통기성 필름을 적용한 포장 깍두기의 팽창 방지 효과

        In this study, changes in the quality and headspace O2/CO2 concentrations of cubed radish (Raphanus sativus L.) kimchi (CR-kimchi) packaged using multilayer airtight film (MAF), half-area breathable film (HABF), partial area breathable film (PABF), and one-way degassing valve-mounted film (ODVF) were investigated during storage under altering temperature conditions. The total lactic acid bacteria count in CR-kimchi samples stored for 6 days at 0℃, followed by 8 days at 6o C, increased to 7.8-7.9 log CFU/g, regardless of the packaging. The titratable acidity of the CR-kimchi samples increased to 0.6-0.7% during storage at 0o C for 6 days and then at 6o C for 8 days; it was maintained at 0.6-0.8% for 32 days of storage at 3o C. After 46 days of storage, the reduced sugar content of CR-kimchi packaged using MAF, HABF, PABF, and ODVF decreased to 26.8-30.3 mg/g, indicating no significant (p>0.05) differences. However, during storage, headspace CO2 concentration and film volume were lower in the HABF treatment than in the control, PABF, and ODVF treatments, indicating that HABF packaging combined with supercooled (3o C) storage can extend the optimal ripening period of CR-kimchi without packaging expansion during storage.
