        Establishment of an Academic Management System for Extracurricular Activities of Universities

        The purpose of this study is to establish a academic management system that is required in relation to the activation of extracurricular education activities that are importantly operated by universities to support students’ capacity growth and success. FGI was used for professionals who served as heads of departments that plan and oversee extracurricular activities at universities. The academic system that should be established for the activation of the extracurricular activities of the university is presented in the context of input and output. First, the academic system that should be put in order to actively approach students while increasing their participation and motivation in extracurricular activities was presented in the categories of ‘integrative composition system of feedback mechanism’, ‘operational contents’, and ‘operational methods’. In this regard, detailed grounds such as extracurricular activities committee, roadmap for completion of multi-dimensional extracurricular activities, lecture plan and class evaluation linked to extracurricular activities, day and meeting of extracurricular activities through specific day designation, extracurricular activities linkage system, promotion channels and events for extracurricular activities, and new program development and improvement maintenance through student planning monitoring team were presented together. Next, the academic system at the output level that students should be guaranteed after completing extracurricular activities was presented in the categories of the operation of the extracurricular activity mileage system and the operation of the extracurricular activity human resource certification system. In this regard, detailed grounds such as flexible scholarship payment standards, expansion of scholarship recipients, and employment and career-based incentive payments were presented. Through the results of the study, it was analyzed that the academic system of input dimension and output dimension should be actively applied to students in a balanced and linked manner in order to activate the operation of extracurricular activities in universities. In addition, the activation of the extracurricular activities of the university can enhance the internalization and advancement when the communication and collaboration of all the members including the students, the integrated composition system between the infrastructure related to the subject matters education and extracurricular activities, and the linkage with the related academic system are fully considered. 본 연구는 대학에서 학생들의 역량 성장과 성공을 지원하는 비교과 교육과정의 운영 활성화를 위한 학사제도의 수립 방안을 탐색하는 데 목적을 두었다. 대학에서 비교과 교육과정을 기획 및 총괄하는 부서의 장으로 재직하는 전문가들을 대상으로 FGI가 사용되었다. 대학 비교과 교육과정 운영의 활성화를 위해 수립되어야 할 학사제도를 투입과 산출의 맥락 차원에서 제시하였다. 먼저, 학생들이 비교과 프로그램에 대한 참여와 동기를 높이면서 활발히 접근하기 위해 투입되어야 할 학사제도를 ‘환류 기구의 통합 구성체계’, ‘운영 내용’, ‘운영 방법’의 범주로 제시하였다. 이와 관련하여, 비교과교육과정위원회, 다중 차원의 비교과 이수 로드맵, 비교과 프로그램 연계 강의계획 및 수업평가, 특정 요일 지정을 통한 비교과 Day 및 모임, 비교과 프로그램 연계 이수제, 비교과 홍보 통로 및 이벤트, 학생 기획 모니터링단을 통한 프로그램 신규 개발 및 개선 유지 등의 세부 근거들이 함께 제시되었다. 다음으로, 학생들이 비교과 프로그램을 이수한 후 보장받아야 할 산출 차원의 학사제도를 ‘비교과 마일리지제 운영’, ‘비교과 인재 인증제 운영’의 두 가지 범주로 제시하였다. 이와 관련하여, 유연한 장학 지급 기준, 장학 수혜 대상 확대, 취업 및 진로 기반 인센티브 지급 등의 세부 근거들이 함께 제시되었다. 연구 결과를 통해, 대학 비교과 교육과정 운영의 활성화를 위해 투입 차원과 산출 차원의 학사제도가 상호 균형적이고 연계적으로 학생들에게 활발히 적용되어야 할 필요성이 분석되었다. 또한, 대학 비교과 교육과정 운영의 활성화는 학생을 비롯한 모든 구성원들의 소통 및 협업, 교과 및 비교과 인프라 간 통합 구성체계, 관련 학사제도와의 연계 등이 충분히 고려될 때 내실화와 고도화를 갖출 수 있다는 측면도 제고되었다.

        현장중심 초등교원 양성을 위한 교원대학의 내적체제 및 학사운영 개선방안 모색

        There are 10 national universities of education(NUE) in Korea now which take a pivotal role in educating elementary school teachers. Recently NUEs have been confronted with some difficulties because of the decrease of the number of elementary school children, the increase of competition in teacher recruitment examination, and government policy for restructuring national university system. The NUEs are forced to change their role and university system according to external conditions. Therefore, there are many discussions and concerns about external changes of NUEs including unification with secondary school teacher education institutions while few about internal matters in NUEs such as students selection system, improving teacher education program, and academic management system. With the belief that the improvement of internal academic management system is very important to increase the quality of elementary school teacher education, this study analyses and discusses some problems in students selection system, allotment of freshmen to the department, making university curriculum, elementary school teacher certification system, and teacher appointment examination. As a result, this paper suggests some alternative ideas such as expansion of the role of NUEs including life-long education, department-based students selection system, educating elementary school subject specialists, student-based curriculum making, teacher employment examination based on university records.

        인공지능 적응형 시스템 구현 및 활용 방안 - S 대학 사례 연구 -

        본 연구는 AI 기반 적응형 시스템이 지역 대학의 교육환경에 적용되고 활용되는 방안을 논의하였다. AI 적응형 시스템을 구현하기 위한 구체적 방안으로써 선행연구와 국내외 사례를 분석하고, 전문가 자문을 통해 구체적인 구축 가이드라인을 제안하였다. 연구 결과, AI 적응형 시스템은 학습자의 지식과 학습 수준을 진단하여 개별화된 맞춤형 학습 지원 환경을 제공할 수 있으며, 이를 통해 학습 격차 해소 및 학업 성취도 향상에 기여할 수 있다. 지역의 S대학에서는 다양한 학생들의 맞춤형 관리를 위한 AI 학사관리시스템으로 활용 방안을 구체화하였다. 이 연구는 AI 적응형 학습의 잠재력에 대한 이론적 통찰력을 제공하며, S대학교의 AI 적응형 시스템에 적합한 모델을 제안하고 AI 적응형 시스템 구현을 위한 윤리적 고려 사항 등을 논의하였다. With growing interest in AI tools for educational settings, research on implementing and utilizing AI-enabled adaptive learning systems in Korean universities remains largely unexplored. This study addresses this gap by examining an AI adaptive learning system in the context of S University.The study employed corpus analysis methods, using Python programming for frequency and semantic network analysis, followed by a focus group interview. The results indicate that an AI adaptive learning system is crucial for creating a personalized learning environment by diagnosing individual learners’ knowledge and adjusting content accordingly. These findings provide theoretical insights into the potential of AI adaptive learning as an effective tool in real educational settings. Furthermore, this study proposes a model suitable for an AI adaptive system at S University and provides general guidelines for implementing AI adaptive systems.

        국내외 사례 분석을 통한 한국형 학생선수 온라인 이력관리시스템 개발전략

        The purpose of the study was to analyze the online student-athlete profile system of Korea and United States in order to create Korean online career administration system that allows student-athletes to balance sports and academic as ‘studying student-athletes’. The main functions of NEIS, e-school for student-athlete of Korea, and NCSA, Hudl of the US were compared and educational utilization of each case was analyzed. This study suggested future directions and strategies to foster ‘studying student-athletes’ using the Korean online career administration system. System users(i.e. student-athletes, parents, teachers and coaches) have to recognize the importance of academic management and it is crucial to raise awareness of systematic training. In addition, it is essential to develop operating strategies to readily access information in the system. Through the introduction of Korean online career administration system for student-athlete, it is expected that a student-athlete would be able to establish an opportunity to cooperate with schooling and training at the same time. Also, it can build a foundation to improve the culture of the athletic club and achieve scientific training methods.

        대학간 교육과정 공유 관련 학사제도 운영의 저해요인 분석

        This study aims to explore the obstacles to curriculum sharing activities among universities, which have been recently attracting attention as a strategy for overcoming the university financial crisis and educational innovation. To this end, eight consortia participating in the 'Digital New Technology Human Resource Development Innovation Sharing University Project' ('COSS Project'), which focuses on curriculum sharing activities, were set as the subjects of the study. First, the business plans for the first and second years of the eight consortia were used to analyze their joint curriculum operation plans and academic system improvement performance, and interviews were conducted with the heads of the academic affairs teams of the eight consortia to understand the results in more depth. The analysis of the eight consortiums' plans showed that, first, the homogeneity of the participating universities, not just the characteristics of individual universities, has a significant impact on curriculum sharing among universities. Second, among the types of joint curriculum operation, joint operation of microdegree courses, credit transfer and credit accreditation, credit exchange systems, and intensive programs were found to have higher performance. This suggests that the lesser the need to change the existing academic system, the easier it is to gather opinions on campus and the more likely it is to encourage students to take courses at other universities. These findings were reinforced by the results of the interviews with the heads of academic affairs teams, which revealed that in addition to factors at the level of the higher education system, higher education system, and policy, there are many factors at the level of individual universities that make it difficult to improve the academic system. These findings suggest that there are a number of new issues that need to be addressed at the university and government levels to promote shared activities among universities. 이 연구의 목적은 대학재정 위기 극복 및 교육혁신 전략으로서 최근 주목받고 있는 ‘대학간 교육과정 공유활동’의 저해요인을 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 교육과정 공유활동을 중점 지원하는 ‘디지털 신기술 인재양성 혁신공유대학 사업(‘COSS 사업’)’에 참여하는 8개 사업단들을 연구 대상으로 설정하였다. 우선 8개 사업단들의 1, 2차년도 사업계획서를 활용하여 교육과정 공유 관련 학사제도 개선 계획과 실적을 분석하였고, 그 결과를 보다 심도 있게 이해하기 위해서 8개 사업단의 학사행정 담당자들을 대상으로 면담을 실시하였다. 8개 사업단의 계획서 분석 결과, 첫째 대학간 교육과정 공유 관련 학사제도 개선에는 ‘개별대학 특성’만이 아니라 ‘참여대학들의 동질성’이 중요한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, ‘학사제도개선 유형’ 중에는 마이크로디그리정 운영 관련 개선 실적이, ‘학점교류 및 학점인정’ 유형 중에는 학점교류제 시행 관련 개선 실적이, ‘학기 운영’ 유형 중에는 집중이수제 실적이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이는 기존 학사제도를 변경할 필요성이 적을수록 학내 의견 수렴이 쉽고, 학생들의 타교 교차수강도 활성화될 수 있음을 시사한다. 이러한 결과는 학사팀장 면담 결과 분석을 통해서 보다 확연히 드러났다. 분석 결과, 고등교육체제, 고등교육 제도와 정책 차원의 요인들 외에도 학사제도 개선을 저해하는 는 개별 대학 차원의 요인들이 다수 있음이 확인되었다. 이러한 결과들은 대학간 공유활동 촉진을 위해서 각 대학, 그리고 정부 차원에서 선제적으로 추진해야 할 새로운 과제들이 있음을 시사한다.

        ERT 환경에서 진행된 교양영어 온라인 수업의 학업성취도와 관련된 학습변인에 대한 고찰

        This study examined the learning variables affecting college learners' achievement in a general English course under the Emergency Remote Teaching Environment. For the study, six learning variables were selected: checking the bulletin-board, learning progress, access to the LMS, watching video lectures using mobile devices or PCs, and learning time. 133 Korean college students participated in the online general English courses. Their data were collected through the Learning Management System. The data were analyzed to examine the learning variables affecting their academic achievement according to their characteristics using the independent t-test and multiple regression. The research findings are as follows. First, checking the bulletinboard, access to the LMS, and learning progress were correlated highly with their academic achievement. Second, checking the bulletin-board and watching video lectures using mobile devices contributed to the achievement for the male students. However, only the variable of access to the LMS affected the female students. Access to the LMS was the primary variable for the 1st grade students; checking the bulletinboard and watching video lectures using mobile devices affected the achievement in the Engineering college. In the low-level group, access to the bulletin-board was the only effective variable. Some discussions and implications for examining the learning variables affecting academic achievement are illustrated.

        학술연구용품 관세감면 사후관리에 관한 개선방안

        The current prototype to preferential tariff reductions are being imported in accordance with the requirements of expensive research equipment necessary to study the production of Samples used in industrial R & D Institute. However, do not take advantage of the long-term for the mass production of its experimental and research purposes, despite the end of sleep is the reason because of the tariff reduction according to strict post management. No matter should be in accordance with the legislative intent of the one, if damage occurs due to the gap between the spirit and the law and the reality sector, the law itself needs to be amended or supplemented. In this paper, in addition to achieve the original purpose of the tariff reduction system Tariff Reduction expensive equipment for follow-up management information, training till the end should not be confined to the research purpose was written. This is legally secure and efficient operation for tariff reduction in academic research supplies is to improve the problem. Supplies tariff reduction measures presented by academic research will allow you to make effective support for business activities through a system of mitigation. Also, Including our export company, government agencies, academic circles being related, and international trade advisory agencies must expand opportunity of information sharing.

        국가학술자원관리시스템구축 계획에 관한 연구

        National competence is based on the quality of university education, which is determined by the competitiveness of academia, research and information. IMD reported that Singapore, #2 country in national competence index, topped in quality of university education. Meanwhile Korea's current national knowledge infrastructure project lacks comprehensive coordination at a governmental level and has been conducted in a rather sporadic manner, without any consideration on the overall analysis of knowledge information resources. Consequently, a disproportionate amount of attention was devoted to collecting general information resources, while neglecting rare, hard-to-collect sources with historic, academic, and/or cultural values. This study proposes to build an academic resource management system to fully supervise academic resources at least, among national knowledge information resources which is a national asset, and also to allocate budget and cultivate new information building projects based on overall analysis on academic resources. In other words, there is a need for a management system to implement efficient linkage, distribution and utilization of academic resources and, to that end, we need to build an academic resource management system at a national level, maximizing the benefits from the knowledge society that we live in. 국가경쟁력의 근간은 대학경쟁력이고 대학경쟁력은 학술·연구·정보경쟁력에서 나온다고 할 수 있다. IMD는 국가경쟁력에서 2위를 한 싱가포르가 대학경쟁력에서 1위를 한 것으로 보고하였으며, 국가경쟁력은 대학경쟁력에서 나온다고 평가한 바 있다. 그러나 우리나라에서는 국가 지식인프라 구축사업이 국가 단위의 종합적 계획없이 진행되고, 지식정보자원의 총량 분석없이 산발적·경쟁적으로 진행된 관계로 일반적인 정보원구축에 중복 투자가 되는 반면에 수집이 어렵고 많이 활용되지는 않으나 역사적·학술적·문화적 가치가 있는 정보원은 오히려 소외되는 현상이 발생했다. 이에 본 연구에서는 국가 자산인 국가지식정보자원 중 학술정보자원만이라도 총체적으로 관리하고 학술자원에 대한 총량분석을 기반으로 한 예산 투자 및 정보화사업과제가 발굴될 수 있도록 하기 위해 학술자원관리시스템 구축을 제안하고자 한다. 즉, 학술자원의 효율적 연계, 보급, 활용을 위해서는 관리체계가 필요하다고 보고, 이를 효과적으로 추진하기 위해 지식기반시대에 적합한 국가단위학술자원관리 체제 구축을 제안하고자 한다.

        Comparisons on Clustering Methods: Use of LMS Log Variables on Academic Courses

        Academic analytics guides university decision-makers to assign limited resources more effectively. Especially, diverse academic courses clustered by the usage patterns and levels on Learning Management System(LMS) help understanding instructors’ pedagogical approach and the integration level of technologies. Further, the clustering results can contribute deciding proper range and levels of financial and technical supports. However, in spite of diverse analytic methodologies, clustering analysis methods often provide different results. The purpose of this study is to present implications by using three different clustering analysis including Gaussian Mixture Model, K-Means clustering, and Hierarchical clustering. As a case, we have clustered academic courses based on the usage levels and patterns of LMS in higher education using those three clustering techniques. In this study, 2,639 courses opened during 2013 fall semester in a large private university located in South Korea were analyzed with 13 observation variables that represent the characteristics of academic courses. The results of analysis show that the strengths and weakness of each clustering analysis and suggest that academic leaders and university staff should look into the usage levels and patterns of LMS with more elaborated view and take an integrated approach with different analytic methods for their strategic decision on development of LMS.
